Idaho Student Murders: Professor Sues TikToker Accusing Her Of Planning Slayings

It’s been some time since there were any significant updates on the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students. Currently, police continue to quietly search for clues while the rest of the world eagerly awaits answers. In the weeks since the tragedy, several true crime buffs have taken to platforms like TikTok to play detective and try their hand and solving the crime. While some have undeniably provided helpful information, others are now facing lawsuits due to their accusations.

As Complex reports, Rebecca Scofield filed a lawsuit last Wednesday (December 21) in Idaho District Court. The history department chair named TikTok user Ashley Guillard, who boasts a following of 100K+ on the app, in her documents. Specifically, the educator is unhappy that she’s facing accusations of orchestrating the local slayings solely from tarot card readings.

Those following the investigation know that police aren’t sharing the names of suspects. Somehow, though, the social media user channelled a message pointing her toward the school employee.

“Professor Scofield has never met Guillard,” her lawsuit declares. “She does not know her. She does not know why Guillard picked her to repeatedly falsely accuse of ordering the tragic murders and being involved with one of the victims. Professor Scofield does know that she has been harmed by the false TikToks and false statements.”

The tarot reader has been posting defamatory videos for over a month, starting on November 24th. At the time, a video went out stating that the instructor “had been involved in a relationship with one of the murdered students, K.G. [Kaylee Goncalves].”

Scofield is expressing concern that Guillard’s “false statements may motivate someone to cause harm to her or her family members.” Additionally, she notes the “significant emotional distress and damage” she’s facing in the wake of these claims.

Though the police haven’t been speaking with the media lately, one of the victim’s fathers gave a recent optimistic update. Some have been speculating that the tragic murder investigation has gone cold, but according to Ben Mogen, authorities are working with biological and visual evidence.

“From the very beginning, I’ve known that people don’t get away with these things these days. There’s too many things that you can get caught up on, like DNA and videos everywhere. This isn’t something that people get away with, that goes unsolved,” he said.

U Of Idaho Murder Investigation Leads Police To Eugene, Oregon To Search Vehicle

Some are starting to believe that last month’s shocking murder investigation at the University of Idaho has gone cold. However, new updates continue to surface as police search for answers regarding the mysterious deaths of Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

Over the weekend, several videos circulating online made headlines as suspicion began to build around an unknown man named Adam. In a new video, two of the victims walk through downtown Moscow. As they make their way down the street, they gossip about telling the man “everything.” Strolling with them is a male figure previously seen in another video of the girls at a food truck.

According to TMZ, Adam is now known to be a local bartender. He has no involvement in the investigation in any way at this time.

While that lead was a dead end, authorities have thankfully been led to another clue – located all the way in Eugene, Oregon. In the city that’s nearly 500 miles away, a white Hyundai Elantra has been found. Additionally, there was a person sleeping inside of it.

The local police department received a call over the weekend about the vehicle. Officers promptly responded to the scene and made contact with the individual inside. Afterward, no further report was made.

Oregon cops are in contact with those in Moscow regarding the vehicle, which was brought up previously in press conferences. After scoping out various surveillance footage, Idaho police told the public that they were searching for a car of the same make and model.

Currently, they’re working to see if there’s any connection between the Hyundai and their ongoing murder investigation.

In other recent updates, a police officer’s body cam video captured on the same night of the slayings appears to include a chilling scream in the background. Check that out here, and tap back in with HNHH later for any updates. RIP.

Idaho University Slayings: New Video Raises Suspicion Around Man Named “Adam”

Just over a month ago, a tragedy unlike any other struck the community of Moscow, Idaho. At the time, four students were victims of a stabbing in their off-campus residence. Unfortunately for the loved ones of the deceased, as well as concerned locals, the brutal murders remain unsolved. However, on Sunday (December 18), TMZ came through with some updates on the investigation.

Earlier this month police confirmed that they would be upping campus security at the local university ahead of graduation. They had no further information to provide the public then. Still, they did advise everyone to stay alert and travel in large groups. At this time, any potential suspect’s identities are not publicly known. Now, though, new video footage is drawing attention to an unknown man named Adam.

Two of the victims – Kaylee Goncalves and Maddie Mogen – spent their last night alive walking with a mysterious male throughout the city’s downtown. Only photo stills of the video are available at this time to protect the investigation. Their outfits are the same as the ones worn in a previously circulating video in which they get a bite at a food truck, just hours before losing their lives.

The unknown man appears in that same clip. He was “later cleared by police as a suspect in the slayings,” TMZ notes. In the newer footage, one of the girls asks her friend, “Maddie, what did you say to Adam?” The second voice, presumed to be Mogen, then says, “Like, I told Adam everything.”

It remains unclear if Adam is someone who police are talking to this point. A Facebook group dedicated to solving the Idaho investigation submitted the related evidence to investigators and is currently awaiting any updates.

Other interesting videos appearing in connection to the case include body cam footage from a police officer. The policeman spoke with three people seemingly partaking in underage drinking. The incident took place near the crime scene and around the time of the murders.

Some believe they can hear a scream in the background of the clip. Others, though, argue that it’s just the sound of tires screeching. Another report from the Daily Mail specifically states that the audio seemingly contains a scream picked up on a police mic around 3:12 AM.

Presently, the assailant(s) of the four University of Idaho students remains at large. The murder weapon is also missing, though authorities believe it to be a combat knife.

Shanquella Robinson Rally In Charlotte Calls For Justice In Ongoing Death Investigation

The tragic story of Shanquella Robinson’s death shocked the internet last month. Over the weekend, countless people from the late student’s hometown gathered at a rally to demand the justice they deserve.

As ABC News reports, Saturday (December 10) saw several Charlotte, North Carolina residents come together at Little Rock AME Zion Church. Friends of the family and local leaders both spoke on how the unexpected murder has shaken up their community.

“I’m going to be honest – this is tough,” Mayor pro tem, Braxton Winston, said in his statements. “How many words of comfort can you bring to a situation like this? There’s so much grief in our community.”

Afterward, the politician went on to assure Shanquella’s parents that they won’t be forgotten by those around them as they await further answers from the FBI and Mexican authorities.

Mecklenburg County’s at-large commissioner, Pat Cotham, additionally noted that Robinson’s story “[is] just starting.” They added, “She was just a young woman. I am so very sorry for the loss of your precious Shanquella.”

Aside from running her own businesses, the deceased spent much of her time focusing on her studies at Winston-Salem State University. A representative for the school says her “spirit lives on” there, even after her untimely murder.

Just a few weeks ago, the Robinson family came together to mourn their only child at a funeral service. Now, the community is uplifting them again in their time of need.

“There were thousands of people that didn’t make it into the services a couple of weeks ago, so this is the opportunity to come and show their support for the Robinson family again and to love on them and basically let them know that we stand with them,” Million Youth March of Charlotte founder, Mario Black, told press this past weekend.

“It’s justice for Shanquella Robinson until justice is served,” he chiefly declared.

Though the FBI and Mexican authorities revealed that an arrest warrant was issued in the case at the end of November, Salamondra Robinson has spoken with the media and says she remains without answers.

Read more about that here, and check back in with HNHH later for any updates on the investigation. RIP Shanquella.

Idaho Student Killer Remains At Large, Police Increase Campus Presence For Grad

The world continues to wait for more answers regarding the tragic slayings of four University of Idaho students last month. Surprisingly, the killer remains at large several weeks later. However, police are slowly but surely providing more updates to the general public as they work towards solving the mystery.

As TMZ reports, authorities have made it known that they’ll be increasing campus security ahead of the school’s upcoming graduation. Moscow PD Chief James Fry specifically told the outlet that he’s been beefing up the number of officers patrolling while families celebrate their special day.

During a Saturday (December 10) news conference, Fry made sure to warn everyone to stay vigilant. Additionally, he spoke about moving in groups and regularly keeping in contact with loved ones.

The murder investigation has gone unsolved for nearly a month now. It was November 13th when Madison Mogen and Kaylee Goncalves were victims of a deathly stabbing at their off-campus housing. Another resident, Xana Kernodle, and her boyfriend, Ethan Chapin, unfortunately met the same fate.

Police have consistently been saying the weapon was a combat-style knife. Any suspect identities remain unknown, though names of those with clearance are making rounds. Among them are two surviving roommates who reportedly slept through the attacks.

Goncalves’ ex-boyfriend, Jack, is not a person of interest. According to previous reports, she and Madison made a total of 10 frantic calls to Kaylee’s former partner not long before they lost their lives.

Countless tips about the same student’s stalker made their way to the FBI as well, though those were unsuccessful in getting answers.

The most recent update regarding the investigation says that currently, police are hoping to speak with the occupants of a white 2011-2013 Hyundai Elantra. The vehicle was seen near the murder scene on that fateful night.

It remains unclear if the occupants are thought to be potential suspects or witnesses.

Earlier this month, one of the victim’s fathers spoke out with an interesting statement about the “means of death” not matching between his daughter and her late friend. Read more about that here, and check back in with HNHH later for more news updates.

Elon Musk’s Brain Implant Company Under Investigation For Animal Abuse

Elon Musk has been at the forefront of global news for some time now. Between his divisive takeover of Twitter and a drastic drop in Tesla stock, Elon has had a less-than-stellar 2022.

To make matters worse for the SpaceX entrepreneur, his medical device company, Neuralink, is facing accusations of animal abuse. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Inspector General is launching an investigation regarding violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

Neuralink has been working towards developing a brain implant for humans. With technology as advanced as this, the scientific company agrees that researchers must take their time to minimize harm to test subjects.

This is where the 51-year-old seems to diverge from the rest of his colleagues, instead, placing an emphasis on fast-tracking this project. He even recently surprisingly announced that human trials were set to begin within six months. However, Neuralink’s schedule may change due to the animal rights investigation.

Whether it’s amoral or not, animal testing has been standard practice in the field of medicine for a long time and will likely continue. While animals routinely die during these experiments, there are regulations in place that attempt to minimize these casualties.

However, Musk’s expectation of accelerated development has led to an overabundance of botched experiments. In February, reports of over a dozen primates were killed in experiments and this is likely just the beginning.

According to Reuters, Neuralink has killed around 1500 animals since 2018. These animals include rodents, pigs, primates, sheep, and possibly more. Several employees have voiced their concerns over the multi-billionaire’s disregard for policy. Some have even proposed large-scale changes to Neuralink’s testing process.

The leading cause of these botched procedures allegedly comes down to human error. Due to rushed operations, the proper preparations and planning were not fully fleshed out. This resulted in animals receiving implants unsuitably sized and sometimes even incorrect body parts.

With the investigation still underway, this hiccup in Musk’s schedule will likely force him to bump back human trials. Considering the turmoil surrounding Neuralink at the moment, this may be for the best.

Do you think the new CEO of Twitter has gone too far? Or are you ready to preorder Neuralink’s brain implant? Let us know in the comments and finally, check out Doja Cat’s interaction with the new king of Twitter here.
