Blueface Reveals New Prison Release Date And It’s Sooner Than Expected

In January of this year, Blueface turned himself in for an alleged probation violation and has been behind bars ever since. He was officially handed a sentence in August, which elicited big reactions from his fans, peers, and family members. The “Thotiana” rapper was handed four years, which his father confirmed in an emotional video shortly after he heard the news. According to Blueface, however, he’ll actually be getting out far sooner than his fans thought.

Earlier this week, his official Instagram account shared a story post, updating his followers on his stay. “I’ll Ce Out JULY Don’t Bink!!!!!” the post reads. This is obviously unconfirmed, and fans will just have to wait and see what actually plays out in his case. He wouldn’t be the only one to get out earlier than expected, however.

Last month, the mother of his child Chrisean Rock also got out of jail. She was arrested in June at one of Blueface’s court hearings due to a felony fugitive warrant dating back to 2022. Since her release, she’s made the most of her newfound freedom, immediately reuniting with her son and even committing to a completely different lifestyle. Fans are glad to see her focusing on her child and turning her life around for the better. They hope that her seemingly rekindled relationship with Blueface doesn’t get in the way of this, though it remains unclear whether or not it will.

Lil Uzi Vert Drops “Eternal Atake 2” Artwork And Mysterious Album Trailer

Lil Uzi Vert’s new era is officially here. The rapper has hinted at something major around the corner, but the most optimistic fans could not have guessed we’d get information so soon. Uzi was seen filming a music video last week, and since then, we’ve gotten a teaser track and a logo that subtly appears on the artwork for all of Uzi’s streaming releases. They were obviously gearing up for something major, and on Thursday, we found out what. Lil Uzi Vert confirmed Eternal Atake 2 is coming, and they even released the artwork, along with a trailer.

The first sign that something was up was on Instagram. Lil Uzi Vert was active on the account for the first time in months. They even changed the link in the bio to read: “ALL WHITE ALL WHITE ALL WHITE.” The same phenomenon occurred on Twitter, which is a platform Uzi had been absent from for even longer. It build up hype to previously unforeseen heights, and then it culminated with Lil Uzi Vert’s post. The iconic emcee dropped the Eternal Atake 2 artwork. The artwork shares a purple color scheme with the original Eternal Atake, but it has a more ominous look. People with glowing eyes can be seen looking in different directions. A mysterious key floats in the middle of the frame.

The Eternal Atake logo, meanwhile, which evokes the infamous Heaven’s Gate cult, can be spotted in the left corner. Lil Uzi Vert has always leaned into extra-terrestrial imagery, especially when it came the first Eternal Atake, but they are really playing it for this rollout. The “ALL WHITE” description in the bio evokes the white sneakers that the Heaven’s Gate cult wore. Then there’s the white in the artwork for the teaser single, “Uzi the Earthling.” The single, which dropped a day before the official album announcement, is only 30 seconds in length. It does, however, fall right in line with the space age vibe.

In case all that wasn’t enough, Lil Uzi Vert blessed fans with an album trailer. The trailer is a minute in length, and provides some fascinating context for the album’s concept. The trailer claims that Uvi went missing on March 6, 2020, before revealing a purple-hued spaceship. We’re then guided on to the ship, where scientists appear to be wiping the rapper’s memory. Once the process is completed, Uzi is woken up and seemingly returned to Earth. We are in for one hell of a musical experience.

GloRilla Posts Baby Bump Photos After Claiming She Never Wanted Kids

GloRilla sent social media into a frenzy on Wednesday night. The rapper has been making headlines for her music throughout 2024, but now she has decided to stir up commotion in her personal life. She took to Instagram to post a series of photos in which she appeared to have a baby bump. Not a subtle one, at that, a full on pregnant belly. This would be surprising on its own, but the post was made mere days after an interview in which GloRilla claimed she didn’t want to have kids.

GloRilla sat down for an episode of the interview series Out of Context. She spoke to Charlamagne tha God about her career and her musical aspirations. When asked about her desire to start a family, though, the rapper was specific. She wanted little ones, but she didn’t want to carry them in her body. “I do want to have kids, but not my own kids,” she told the host. “I want to do a surrogate… want somebody else to have my baby. To have my DNA, but I don’t want to have it.” GloRilla’s desire was seemingly confirmed by a lyric in the song “Procedure” that read: “This n**ga tryna get me pregnant, I need to tie my tubes.”

The reason GloRilla didn’t want to get pregnant was because she didn’t want to be physically restricted. She told Charlamagne that her friends complain about having limitations when they’re carrying children to term. “And I’m like naw,” she asserted. “I don’t wanna go through that.” GloRilla seemed firmly set in her decision. Which brings us back to the new Instagram photos. The comments for the post are turned off, but Twitter exploded with speculation and fan theories regarding GloRilla’s current state.

Some fans theorized that the rapper has been posting photos from the past, and concealing her pregnancy during the rollout of her album Glorious. Others posited that GloRilla is simply trolling her fans, and posting photos with a fake baby bump. It is Halloween season, so there is a distinct chance there’s a costume that provides additional context. “Glorilla not pregnant fr,” one user wrote. “No way I believe that.” Another posted a photo of the rapper that was uploaded less four days ago. “Child glorilla had a flat stomach 3 days ago,” a user commented. “She play too much.” Check out additional reactions below:

SlimeLife Shawty Clowns His Haters After Testifying In Young Thug Case

SlimeLife Shawty became a talking point in the hop hop community on Wednesday. The rapper took the stand in the ongoing Young Thug case. He admitted, on the stand, that he treated YSL like a gang when he first joined. SlimeLife Shawty also read a redacted social media message, which led to confusion on the part of the defense. Young Thug’s legal team as far as to request a mistrial due to Shawty’s actions. As with any artist who has taken the stand in the YSL case, SlimeLife Shawty was subject to ridicule and mockery online. He decided to clap back, however.

SlimeLife Shawty took to his Instagram Stories the evening he testified. He posted an ominous message that read “Y’all so dumb” before launching into a lengthier post. The YSL member claimed that he didn’t snitch on Young Thug despite taking the stand. “Ain have to tell on nobody duck n**ga,” he wrote. “Every n**ga that den like me only happy cus that belt been off that behind.” SlimeLife Shawty was focused on two people in particular, and he threatened to tag them in a follow up post. “I can @ both u duck n**gas and make y’all remember,” he noted.

SlimeLife Shawty proceeded to threw a few more threats out before calming down. The rapper tried to end things on a positive note, writing: “I’m chillin tho I luv you all.” He may not be a household name for those who have keeping up with the Young Thug case, but Shawty has been part of it from the start. He was arrested alongside Thugger and the rest of the YSL crew in 2022. Vibe reported that he took a plea deal alongside Lil Duke, and subsequently had their sentences reduced to time served.

While some Instagram users supported SlimeLife Shawty, and his claim about not snitching, others stated that his career was over. Shawty was one of the most promising artists on the YSL label before RICO charges entered the picture. Joe Coscarelli, a New York Times reporter, claimed that Shawty was the artist with the most career momentum before the momentum besides Gunna. Gunna has been able to maintain a successful career post-YSL indictment, but he also had hits. SlimeLife Shawty is going to have a much harder time maintaining relevance.

Hit-Boy Confirms His Father Big Hit Is Back In Jail With Heartfelt Message

Hit-Boy and Big Hit were one of hip hop’s most inspiring stories. The former a superstar producer, and the latter a veteran rapper who was released from prison in 2023. The father-son duo made an instant splash with their collaborations, and were poised to do much more. Unfortunately, Big Hit’s career has been put on hold once again. The rapper was recently arrested, and Hit-Boy broke the news to fans on October 23. The producer shared an update, and admitted that the future is unclear at the moment.

Hit-Boy broke the news by sharing a FaceTime video between him and Big Hit. The latter was behind bars, and the producer reflected on the sad development in a lengthy caption. “People used to ask me what was I on dropping so much music,” he wrote. “And moving around with my pops so much.” Hit-Boy said that the reason was realized when Big Hit was locked back up. “In the back of my mind the paranoia of him going back was always there and here we are.”

Big Hit had spent his adult life going in and out of prison. Men’s Health reported that the rapper was hit with a 15 year sentence being caught with 10 kilos of cocaine, ten guns, and $300,000. He was promptly released, but locked up a second time for a crime tied to a hit-and-run accident. It was this second stint that he was released from in 2023. Hit-Boy was only three years old when Big Hit was first arrested. He told Rolling Stone that there was a five year period where he wasn’t even allowed to visit his father while he was locked up.

During the same Rolling Stone profile, Big Hit stated that he wanted to serve as an inspirational tale for those who spend the bulk of their lives in prison. “I was trying to tell them before I was even released, I was giving n**gas inspiration.” Hit-Boy assured fans that his father still feels the same away, despite his current situation. He also confirmed more Hit-Boy and Big Hit music in the near future. “We don’t know what the future holds,” he admitted. “But Big Hit sends his love to all his supporters. He recorded over 700 songs when he was out so we got more music otw.”

DJ Akademiks Slammed By His Own Followers For Constantly Sneak Dissing Kendrick Lamar

DJ Akademiks is coming under fire in the comments section of one of his latest posts on Instagram for using every opportunity to dunk on Kendrick Lamar that he can. Ak had shared a clip of Daylyt saying that many people on the West Coast used to hate on Lamar’s style of music.

“You know what I really hated about Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out show? It was a lot of n****s saying, ‘that rap sh*t isn’t gonna work.’ And these n****s was front row,” Daylyt said in the video. “I’m from the West Coast so I’m gonna go ahead and say it. All those n****s used to sh*t on Kendrick. A lot of n****s in the West used to sh*t on Kendrick. I remember.” From there, he recalled everyone else being on “goofy time,” but Lamar sticking to pure hip-hop, which he says angered a lot of people.

In the comments, fans complained about Ak’s constant support of Drake. “Ak is on a historic glazing run. One for the record books,” one user wrote. Another added: “A Kendrick smear campaign months after the beef is a different level of bothered on behalf of Drake. Insane.” One more fan commented: “AK you literally Celebrated the end of Kendrick 15 minutes before he dropped not like us and you conceded … at this point it’s like your living out resentment instead of reality.”

ASAP Rocky Roasts Tyler, The Creator Over “CHROMAKOPIA” Album Cover

ASAP Rocky and Tyler, The Creator came from different worlds. The former a New York rapper raised on Dipset and Bone-Thugs. The latter a California prodigy who grew up on Pharrell and Kanye West. They’re an odd pairing on paper, and yet they’ve been friends and collaborators for a decade. Tyler, The Creator recently unveiled the title and cover art for his new album, CHROMAKOPIA. The art was praised by fans and hip hop outlets alike for its striking design. ASAP Rocky, on the other hand, decided to have fun with his OF brother.

ASAP Rocky went in the comment section of Tyler’s announcement post and clowned the rapper’s looks. “UGLY N***A B LOL,” he wrote. A comment like this would usually be grounds for a social media beef, but Rocky and Tyler have a sense of humor predicated on roasting. Besides, looks and style are big parts of both of their brands. ASAP Rocky literally branded himself “Pretty Flacko” early on in his career, and has spent the last decade as more of a fashion staple than a rapper. Tyler’s style differs from Rocky’s, but he has actually struck a better balance between music and fashion.

Don’t believe us? Tyler, The Creator has dropped two albums since ASAP Rocky’s Testing in 2018. The release date for CHROMAKOPIA is also before Rocky’s upcoming release, Don’t Be Dumb. This means the Odd Future icon will have tripled Rocky’s output over the last eight years. This stat was not lost on fans, who proceeded to pester the ASAP Mob standout for an album update. Don’t Be Dumb was set to drop August 30, but the rapper told Billboard that it had been delayed due to sample clearances. He also pointed to internet leaks as an ongoing issue during recording sessions.

ASAP Rocky is back up and recording, though, as evidenced by the singles he’s dropped over the last few months. He was on the deluxe version of Tyler, The Creator’s last album, Call Me If You Get Lost. He also delivered a standout verse on the Flower Boy song “Who Dat Boy.” It’d be ideal if Rocky could hop on CHROMAKOPIA and Tyler could return the favor on Don’t Be Dumb. We will see if it actually happens.

Kendrick Lamar Breaks Instagram Silence To Praise TDE Star Doechii

Doechii is having a moment. The TDE rapper dropped one of the most acclaimed albums of the year, Alligator Bites Never Heal, in August. She’s since become the most buzzed-about artist on the label, which is saying a lot for a roster packed with generational talent. Doechii has been making music for a minute, but Alligator Bites has truly been her coming out party. And Kendrick Lamar, of all people, has taken notice. The mysterious member of the Big Three broke his social media silence to heap praise on Doechii via Instagram.

The K. Dot embargo was lifted on October 17. The Compton rapper posted a screenshot of Doechii’s album along with an alligator emoji. It was the caption that came with the emoji, however, that turned heads. Lamar dubbed Doechii “the hardest out” period. For a rapper who has dominated the game in 2024, that’s quite the praise. It’s also further proof that Lamar is a TDE supporter through and through, despite no longer being on the label.

Doechii returned the praise to Kendrick Lamar on her own Instagram profile. She reposted Dot’s caption and added: “Thank you Dot, you the greatest.” The exchange may seem like a moderate deal on its face, but it’s a big deal based on Doechii’s previous comments. The TDE signee went on The Joe Budden Pod and admitted that Lamar is at the top of her dream collaborator list. Budden asked if she expected a Dot guest verse for her album, given the TDE connection, but she clarified that she did not expect anything. She also claimed that wants to refine her artistry further before working with a rapper of Lamar’s level.

“That’s the goal,” Doechii explained. “Eventually I’m gonna ask Top [Dawg] if he could ask Kendrick, or ask Kendrick myself and see what comes from that. But I’ma be real. I don’t think I have the record right now for that opportunity. I think I would have to come a certain way and I don’t think I’m ready for that.” Lamar’s co-sign is certainly a step in the right direction when it comes to locking up a feature from the rapper in the future. We can only hope we don’t have to wait to long to hear Dot and Doechii team up.

One Direction Members Post Heartfelt Tributes To “Brother” Liam Payne

One Direction was the boy band for an entire generation. As with every era-defining group, though, a contentious breakup came in the aftermath of their success. Fans were forced to choose which 1D star was right and which was wrong. Zayn Malik and Liam Payne were two of the most polarizing members during post-1D years. Payne’s tragic death on October 17, however, has put things into perspective for Zayn Malik. Zayn, as well as Louis Tomlinson, took to social media to pay tribute to their former band member and “brother.”

Zayn Malik posted a photo of him and Payne during their One Direction days. The two teens appear to be leaning against each other while sleeping in a car. Zayn then delves into the complications and the tragic dynamics of his relationship with Payne. “Even though you were younger than me,” he wrote. “You were always more sensible than me. You were headstrong, opinionated, and gave no f**ks about telling people when they were wrong.” Zayn Malik then noted that he appreciated the ways in which Payne challenged him, even if he didn’t show it in the moment. “Even though we butted heads because of this a few times, I always secretly respected you for it,” he added.

Zayn closed out his tribute to Liam Payne by referring to the late singer as his brother. Through all of the adversity, the two men remain bonded. “[I] can’t explain to you,” he concluded. “What I’d give to just give you a hug one last time and say goodbye to you properly. Tell you that I loved and respected you dearly.” Zayn wasn’t the only One Direction star who felt the need to speak up after Liam Payne’s untimely death. Louis Tomlinson also took to Instagram to praise Payne and the impact the singer left on life.

Liam Payne and Tomlinson also had personal issues, according to an interview the former gave in 2021. He claimed that he and Tomlinson actually hated each other while they were in One Direction, and it was only after the band broke up that they became close. Tellingly, Louis Tomlinson also referred to Payne as his brother. “I wish I got chance to say goodbye and tell you one more time how much I loved you,” he wrote on IG. “Payno, my boy, one of my best friends, my brother, I love you mate. Sleep well X.”

Erica Mena Alleges That Safaree “Violated Her Body” In Scathing IG Rant

Erica Mena and Safaree have turned up the heat throughout the week. The Love & Hip Hop stars have always been ready to go when it comes to public spats. The allegations that have been made, however, and the dirty laundry that has been shared, reached a whole new level on October 16. Safaree posted a compilation of security footage in which Mena physically assaulted him. The internet was horrified, and then Erica Mena fired back with a scathing Instagram rant. She leveled serious allegations at Safaree in return.

Erica Mena alleged that all of the footage Safaree posted of her was from 2023. She also stated that one of the instances in which she was seen hitting him was not given proper context. The reality star alleged that Safaree had “violated her body” shortly before the footage was captured, and she felt as though she was defending herself. “The one of me being in raged [sic] was because he violated my body. I wanted answers on why he would put my health in jeopardy but he’s not admitting that part.” Erica Mena had a ton more to say on the matter. She alleged that Safaree dropped the restraining order he got against her because he wanted to get back together.

The Love & Hip Hop star wrote that Safaree got on his knees and “begged” to get back together. She alleged that their kids bore witness to this. It’s worth noting that some of the footage Safaree provided saw Mena strike him with their kids present. Erica Mena provided specific dates in which Safaree came and allegedly asked to get back together. She also accused the producer of gaslighting her and making her feel as though she’s the issue. Interestingly, enough, Mena brought the rant back to the topic that started the conflict in the first place: child support.

Safaree requested that his child support payments be lowered due to his diminished income. Erica Mena took the producer to task for this request. She alleged that Safaree has gone months without paying his child support. The reality star also alleged that she had to get the department of child support to literally take the money from Safaree’s account. Erica Mena concluded her multi-part rant by attacking Safaree’s parenting. She castigated him for being an absentee father. She also criticized him for leaking footage that will cause “trauma” to both her and their children.
