Last night (December 27), the 46th Kennedy Center Honors event aired on CBS, showcasing tributes to Queen Latifah, Dionne Warwick, Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, Billy Crystal, and opera singer Renée Fleming. Many other fabulous musicians appeared to perform dedications for the honorees.

However, for those who might have missed being able to catch it on TV, here’s what to know about how to watch it now.

How To Stream The 2023 Kennedy Center Honors

Following the 2023 Kennedy Center Honors airing on CBS, the special is currently available to stream on Paramount+. And if you don’t have the streaming platform already, there is a current loophole to get around paying for a subscription. As Rolling Stone notes, they are currently offering a free trial for a month by using the promo code “BUTTERS” — a South Park reference.

Some key moments from the event included Chloe Bailey (“Walk On By”), Cynthia Erivo (“Alfie”), and Gladys Knight (“Say A Little Prayer”) honoring Warwick with their song choices. Missy Elliott and Rapsody appeared to support Queen Latifah. Dove Cameron, Tituss Burgess, and Christine Baranski performed selections from musicals for Fleming’s segment.

Michael Bublé, Little Big Town, Ben Platt, and Ariana DeBose treated the crowd to different Bee Gees songs. Finally, Lin-Manuel Miranda helped honor Crystal. Individual clips of some of the event can also be found on The Kennedy Center’s website.

What Is Spotify’s AI Playlists Feature?

Over the last few weeks, streaming giant Spotify has been a trending topic, but it hasn’t all been positive chatter; The company’s latest round of layoffs was accompanied by news of artists like Snoop Dogg and “Weird” Al calling them out over its payout rates

However, users flooding their social media timelines with the Wrapped results have somewhat helped offset the negative remarks. The platform is focusing on user excitement by rolling out yet another feature: AI playlists.

What is Spotify’s AI playlist feature?

Similar to the AI DJ function, which rolled out in February, the AI playlist feature allows users to generate a collection of songs using prompts.

Spotify has several curated playlists based on genre, artists, decade, release date, charting history, and even modes. However, the AI playlist feature allows users to think far beyond what already exists. According to TechCrunch, users must select the AI chatbot to get started to access the add-on. Users can let their imagination fly once the box takes over the screen. Prompt ideas mentioned presented by the outlet as an example were “get focused at work with instrumental electronica,” “fill in the silence with background café music,” “get pumped up with fun, upbeat, and positive songs,” and “explore a niche genre like Witch House.”

Since when did they have this update on spotify. Now they got chatGPT making our playlists… also wtf is Which House Exploration😭😭 #spotify #update #ai

The feature has not yet gotten a wide release, and it’s not clear when (or if) it will. A spokesperson told TechCrunch, “We routinely conduct a number of tests. Some of those tests end up paving the path for our broader experience and others serve only as an important learning. We don’t have anything further to share at this time.”

Who Is Headlining Governors Ball 2024?

Governors Ball

The 2024 music festival season is on track to revival this year. So far, Lollapalooza has announced their international installments (Chile, Brasil, India, and Argentina) of the event. Domestically, Bonnaroo, Solid Sound, Stagecoach, Sol Blume, and Dreamville Fest have already begun to roll their lineups. Now, all eyes are on the holdout like Governors Ball.

Who is headlining Governors Ball 2024?

As of today (December 19), organizers for the multi-day festival have not announced the lineup. Fans eager to iron out their plans for summer 2024 have been speculating who could appear. For the 2023 festivities, the headliners included Lizzo, Odesza, and Kendrick Lamar. These entertainers had released a new project at the time or were reentering mainstream popularity.

Keeping that in mind, festivalgoers are sharing their dream lineup online, which lists Peso Pluma, SZA, Nicki Minaj, and Travis Scott as potential headliners. Unfortunately, it will be a while until the official lineup for Governors Ball 2024 is made public. For now, supporters are just going to have to sit patient.

If this year’s festival could stand up despite the Canadian wildfire smoke aftermath, next year should be no problem.

When Will The Governors Ball 2024 Lineup Come Out?

NYC’s annual music festival, Governors Ball, will be returning during the summer of 2024. Typically held at Flushing Meadows Corona Park now, attendees who are interested in going might want to know exactly who is playing before buying tickets — or making the trek from another state.

Here’s what to know.

When Will The Governors Ball 2024 Lineup Come Out?

While it’s currently the holiday season, it also means that the release of the Gov Ball lineup is right around the corner. In both 2022 and 2023, the music festival unveiled it at some point in January, building anticipation and giving guests a few months to prepare.

So, right now, it is still unknown who exactly will be taking the festival stages. That hasn’t stopped speculation on Reddit, however, as users are trying to sleuth some of the lineup by using the radius clause — meaning who doesn’t have an NYC-based show.

Claire Rosinkranz is allegedly confirmed, as one user pointed out she has a Governors Ball Presents show that summer. Other potential acts include Bleachers, Chappell Roan, Tyla, Teezo Touchdown, Idles, Greta Van Fleet, and Inzo.

Others in the comments have also been hoping for Lorde, Jpegmafia, The Killers, and more. Red Hot Chili Peppers are also listed, but as an unlikely possibility — just not completely ruled out. To reiterate, though, this is all fan speculation.

Those wanting more information about Gov Ball 2024 can sign up on their website.
