Now, they could be gearing up for yet another major undertaking together, a joint album. During a recent interview with Billboard, Meg teased the concept and seemed pretty confident that it would materialize eventually. “I think that would be very fire. GloRilla chimed in on the idea too, explaining why the two of them would be an ideal duo. “Megan is a real rapper, and I’m also a real rapper,” she noted. “We actually be talking and coming with bars on some down South gangsta sh*t. [It would be] some down South, real turnt, real rap [sh*t].” While fans certainly can’t wait to hear what Meg has in the works with Glo, it’s not the only exciting collab she has on the way.

Over the weekend, the Texas rapper also confirmed that her new track with BTS’ RM is dropping this Friday. She unveiled the release date, cover art, and more with a fun Instagram post. Megan Thee Stallion talked her talk when Charlamagne Tha God claimed (and then retracted) that she was “not an arena artist,” and her Hot Girl Summer Tour speaks for itself. Hot Girl Meg will perform a sold-out show at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Friday, June 21, but first, she brought the Hot Girl Summer Tour to Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona on Juneteenth.

WNBA guard Natasha Cloud and her Phoenix Mercury teammates, including Brittney Griner, were seated in the pit. Cloud held up her phone toward the stage with her screen reading, “COME TO OUR GAME.” Megan Thee Stallion saw it and her mouth was agape in flattery. “I’m invited to y’all game?” she said into the microphone. “‘Cause I seen y’all video. […] I’m so happy y’all came to the show! Can y’all come up on stage? I wanna see y’all.”

Last month, Megan Thee Stallion bonded with Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese when the Hot Girl Summer Tour hit the United Center. Similarly, GloRilla welcomed Reese and her Sky teammates on stage, and Megan Thee Stallion twerked on Reese.

There are two more opportunities for Meg to platform the WNBA during the Hot Girl Summer Tour. Let’s hope to see the Los Angeles Sparks and Las Vegas Aces join her over the weekend.

Megan Thee Stallion put on for her hometown over the weekend, as the H-Town Hottie had a four-day stay in Texas for her tour. Her massive journey across the United States, and eventually the UK, has been a pretty successful one, to say the least. Throughout her run, Megan has brought out some high-profile guests, previewed new music, and has just an overall blast performing. All of this is building further anticipation for her forthcoming album MEGAN, which is slated for release on June 28. In addition to the Hot Girl Summer trek, the hitmaker has put out three promotional singles. The most recent one is “BOA”, which also received a cool retro video game to go along with it. That reason alone is why Megan Thee Stallion was gifted a custom Game Boy handheld with a version of the game on it.

According to HipHopDX, the “Cobra” songwriter got this rad gift from the folks over at the Moody Center in Austin. The Game Boy device even has one of the outfits she wore in the music video for “BOA”. The event center shared the video on TikTok, and Megan was absolutely nerding out over the present. She screamed like a little schoolgirl, as she could not believe what she was holding in her hands.

Megan Thee Stallion is currently about midway through her Hot Girl Summer Tour that launched last month, and she appears to be feeling pretty good. She was in a celebratory mood on Instagram last night (June 13), when she shared a collection of recent stray thoughts.

Perhaps the most notable one is this: “Ima pop my sh*t for a second lol but people questioned if I was an arena artist anddd I mean [shrugging emoji] teehee.”

Notably, in May, Charlamagne Tha God claimed that Megan is “not an arena artist,” but he quickly retracted his assertion, later saying, “Clearly, we got our answers. She sold out 13 arena stops in over 240,000 tickets across North America and Europe. Yeah, so if you’re selling out arenas, you’re an arena artist.”

Recently, however, Meg had to make a tweak to her tour schedule due to the NBA Finals. She took to Twitter/X today to share the news, leaving some of her hometown fans disappointed in the process.

“Dallas Hotties — Due to the NBA Finals schedule, my show at American Airlines Center on June 11th has been rescheduled to Wednesday, June 26th. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date,” she wrote.
