Take A Well-Deserved Break By Watching Tracy Morgan Sing ‘With Or Without You’ In An Airport

It’s been kind of a stressful summer, hasn’t it? The Supreme Court went on a tear a few weeks ago. Mass shootings keep happening, with no end in sight. Homophobia and transphobia are getting worse. There’s that Joe Manchin creep, doing more bad stuff. You know what you need right now? Tracy Morgan singing “With or Without You” in an airport.

The performer was caught in an airport in Omaha Saturday, sitting among the throngs, waiting on a plane. Unlike everyone else, he was belting out a rendition of “With or Without You,” the classic U2 song off their album The Joshua Tree. He wasn’t performing for the crowds. He was just a regular dude sitting in a seat, singing like he didn’t care who was around him. It’s a good song, too. Good for him entertaining people in an Omaha airport and, thanks to the video taken of him, all of us.

Morgan himself could use a break, too. Back in March, he broke down in tears during a stint on Conan O’Brien’s podcast while recalling the difficulty of doing his first stand-up set after suffering through a car accident thanks to a Walmart truck. He’s got a lot of pain. We all do. Again, stuff is bad, man. So take a little self-care break and listen to the guy sing some U2.

Yo Gotti Thanked The Memphis Police Department For Stopping A Shooting A One Of His Recent Shows

While Yo Gotti’s birthday was in May, the rapper took to the FedEx Forum in Memphis for his annual Birthday Bash concert. Gotti has held the event yearly since 2012, but it was canceled in both 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID pandemic. The concert featured appearances from Boosie Badazz, Lil Durk, SleazyWorld Go, Lil Uzi Vert, EST Gee, Blac Youngsta, Big Boogie, Mozzy, and more. The night went smoothly as planned, but afterward, a man was arrested after he threatened to kill everyone coming from the FedEx Forum.

Fox 13 Memphis reports that the suspect, Elijah Hyman, was distraught due to a recent breakup that he experienced with his girlfriend. Police say that Hyman said he was going to commit suicide and kill everyone that exited Gotti’s concert. Hyman was apprehended by police and taken in for medical treatment and evaluation. The suspect was also found with several weapons in his possession, and as a result, he was charged with commission of the act of terrorism.

Afterward, Gotti thanked the Memphis PD for the work in stopping the potential shooting. “Thank you to the fans, artists and everyone involved behind the scenes for making Birthday Bash a smooth, secure and successful event,” he wrote in the first of three tweets. “We were informed of a potential threat regarding an individual seeking to harm attendees leaving Birthday Bash that occurred 3 hours after our show ended.” He added, “I would also like to thank the Memphis Police Department for their swift and proactive action in ensuring that all attendees returned home safely.”

Beyonce Did Not Like How Skinny She Looked In The ‘Austin Powers In Goldmember’ Poster

You cannot mess with Beyonce in any way. Whether it comes to music or anything, really, the Lemonade artist manages to rise above it all. While feelings about her acting career tend to be polarizing, her success is beyond undeniable. Yet, Beyonce Knowles is not afraid to acknowledge moments where she isn’t presented in the best light.

Vulture recently revisited Austin Powers In Goldmember and learned that the film’s makeup artist, Kate Biscoe, said the 40-year-old felt she looked too skinny on the movie’s poster. Biscoe, asked someone on the crew, after Beyonce walked away: “Is that the first time that you’ve ever had an actress ask to make her body bigger?”, to which he replied “Yes. It’s going to cost me thousands of dollars, but I am going to do it.”

Though this was an unfortunate situation, Beyonce has provided much entertainment throughout her acting career. Prior to Austin Powers In Goldmember, she first entered the cinematic universe with Carmen: A Hip Hopera in 2001. Since then, the “Irreplaceable” artist has had major roles in Dreamgirls, Obsessed, and The Lion King. As for music, Queen Bee released “Break My Soul” in June and Renaissance is set to release on July 29th.

Bobby Shmurda Accepts The ‘Hoochie Daddy’ Title On His Quick-Paced New Single

Bobby Shmurda has been highly active with music releases recently, but it wasn’t always like that since the rapper was released from prison at the beginning of 2021. His return to music wasn’t as productive or as big as he would’ve liked and it led to him requesting and gaining his release from his former label, Epic Records. Since then, Bobby has found his groove as an independent act and it continues with the release of “Hoochie Daddy.” The track is an energetic release that spotlights Bobby’s fun spirit, one that’s been on full display thanks to videos and posts he’s shared on social media.

“Hoochie Daddy” follows recent singles that Bobby has shared over the past months which include “Get ‘Em Back,” “They Don’t Know,” and “Shmoney.” The new single also comes after Bobby shared some details about his upcoming album, Ready To Live, during an interview with HotNewHipHop. He confirmed that the project will include features from DaBaby, Rich the Kid, Meek Mill, Rowdy Rebel, 42 Dugg, Key Glock, and more. He also confirmed that the long-awaited project will arrive at some point next month.

Prior to dropping his new single, Bobby had a surprise run-in with Eminem which led to some thinking that there could be a new collaboration on the way.

Lil Uzi Vert recently announced his Red & White EP which is set to be a prelude to his upcoming project, The Pink Tape. The rapper did not share a release date for Red & White, but many believed it would arrive on Friday. Unfortunately, that day came and went without the project’s release. However, Uzi still managed to treat his fans to new music thanks to the release of his latest single, “Space Cadet.” The record is a high-octane release that broadcasts Uzi’s trademark energy as he flexes his status while professing his desire to blast off into space on his own terms.

Kodak Black Was Arrested In Florida On A Pair Of Drug Charges

Just when Kodak Black was progressing upward in his rap career, the rapper once again finds himself in legal trouble. According to TMZ, the rapper was arrested in his home state of Florida on a pair of drug charges. Kodak was riding in a Dodge Durango on Friday when officers pulled him over for what they believed was an illegal window tint. Once his car was approached, officers say they smelled marijuana and decided to conduct a search of the vehicle. That search resulted in the discovery of 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash. Additionally, Kodak’s license and tags were expired.

As a result, Kodak was booked on two drug charges: possession of a controlled substance without prescription and trafficking with oxycodone. The incident comes after the rapper was arrested on trespassing charges earlier this year, but those charges were later dropped. Prior to that, Kodak Black’s criminal record includes a 2019 arrest on weapons charges where he lied on a background check in order to obtain a gun. That resulted in him being sentenced to 46 months in prison, a term that was later pardoned by former President Donald Trump.

Kodak’s other run-ins with the law include a 2018 arrest for grand theft and child neglect, a 2017 arrest for violating his probation and failing to complete an anger management class, and multiple accusations of sexual assault.

Musicians React To Comedian Jak Knight’s Untimely Death

Jak Knight, a comedian known for co-creating and acting on Peacock original series, Bust Down, has died at 28. In addition to Bust Down, Knight was a writer on shows like Blackish and Big Mouth, on the latter of which, he voiced DeVon. Although he proved to be a promising comedian, Knight was very much known and loved within the realm of music.

In 2018, Knight appeared in a live version of Zach Fox’s Bruh podcast, alongside rapper Amine. In one of his most iconic stand-ups, he hilariously detailed Chance The Rapper‘s career evolution and recounts a time when he saw the rapper perform at a music festival while on shrooms.

“I thought I was in The DaVinci Code, directed by Jordan Peele. This sh*t was crazy as hell,” he said in a Comedy Central special.

Following the news of his death, several musicians have taken to social media to mourn the loss of Knight.

“RIP to Jak Knight,” said Flying Lotus, “honestly was my fav comedian these days. Unapologetically bold and hilarious.”

Producer Kenny Beats also expressed sadness over Knight’s death, tweeting “Rip Jak I’m heartbroken.”

Television personality and rapper Steelo Brim, who once had Knight as a guest on his Wine And Weed podcast, said “Truly don’t know what to say but Jak Knight was & is the man. He will be forever missed and loved, lit up every room and was as pure as they come. F*ck this one hurts.

A cause of death has not yet been confirmed for Knight.

Jhene Aiko Is Glowing In Her First Official Maternity Photos

Fans of Jhene Aiko and Big Sean are still reeling over those baby bump photos that circulated over Fourth of July weekend. Both Aiko and Sean have remained relatively quiet on social media since news of the pregnancy broke, until today.

Earlier, Aiko took to Instagram to reveal the first official maternity photo.

In the picture, she is seen nude, tastefully covered by shadows of the sun, as an image of the earth appears in the background. Sean commented on the picture thanking fans for their support, and said that he “can’t wait” for the baby to arrive. Their child will be Aiko’s second child and Sean’s first.

So it looks like fans may have to wait a little bit longer for a follow-up to Aiko and Sean’s 2016 collaborative album, Twenty88. Sean confirmed that he and his longtime partner have been working on the album earlier this year, during an Instagram live session with R&B singer Queen Naija. He also confirmed that he is recording music of his own.

“I’m here working on a new album and new Twenty88, me and Jhené,” he said. “Sh*t, we’ve been working on it for a little bit… It’s coming along good, though.”
