Jennifer Lopez has finally broken her silence on the tumultuous summer she’s endured over the last several months with an update on Instagram featuring several pictures. “Oh, it was a summer,” Lopez wrote in the caption. During the summer, she’s had to cancel her This Is Me … Now tour and is getting divorced from Ben Affleck.

In the comments section of the new post, fans shared plenty of supportive messages. One user posted: “Everyone’s stories are already written out for everyone. Just buckle up and enjoy the beautiful/crazy/wild ride that’s in store for you!!!” Another wrote: “Queen! Love you! Everything is unfolding in its divine order. Can’t wait to see you back where you belong. On stage and on top of the world.” Others shared plenty of heart eyes and fire emojis.

Despite divorce news circulating for months at this point, Lopez hasn’t spoken about the situation. In July, she posted a birthday thank you to her fans after she and Affleck did not spend the day together. “I want you to know on my birthday that YOU are my biggest gift,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Besides my family and friends, you have always been there for me in the good times and in the tough times. I can always count on you. And I want you to know that you can always count on me. Thank you for your caring, your understanding, your loyalty and most importantly your love. Destroy Lonely & Lil Uzi Vert Take You To Another Planet With “LOVE HURTS”

Lil Uzi Vert has been developing a relationship with Opium signees like Destroy Lonely lately. Ken Carson was the most recent name to get the opportunity, as they collaborated on A Great Chaos last year with “Like This”. However, that record also included Destroy Lonely, and we can maybe point to that as the launching pad for him to now be working with Uzi on “LOVE HURTS”. This is one of the two team efforts on the Atlanta, Georgia native’s sophomore album LOVE LASTS FOREVER.

The tracklist was only led by “LUV 4 YA”, and that only had been out for two months prior to the LP’s release on August 30. Regardless of the fairly minimal roll out, this project was awaited by Destroy Lonely and Opium fans. Now that its here, it seems that “LOVE HURTS” might be one of the records that listeners revisit a lot. We say that because like with most emo/rage/trap rap cuts, the atmosphere is perhaps the main selling point. “LOVE HURTS” has that and then some, as it sounds like it was concocted in outer space by higher life forms. You can thank 808 Mafia member Lil 88, as well as yugen and Dylxn for the warped and epic scale this song has. The auto-tune is a little overbearing at times, but Lonely and Uzi do match each other styles very well. Overall, it’s a solid woozy trap cut, no more, no less.

In June, it was announced that Rihanna is now the new face of Dior J’Adore, a classic scent. Charlize Theron was previously the face of J’Adore campaigns for 20 years, and now she’s the brand’s style and jewelry ambassador. Now, Rihanna has officially taken over Theron’s old post, unveiling her first J’Adore ad yesterday (September 1).

The minute-long video (watch it here) checks all the classic perfume ad boxes: luxurious environments, sexy poses, surreal environments, bold looks down the barrel of the camera, and so on, all with Rihanna’s signature confidence.

Rihanna previously said in a statement, “Being the new face of J’Adore is both an honor and a mission. This scent that I have known and loved for so long means so much to women. I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”

A month ago, Cardi B announced she was pregnant, and over the weekend, she offered an update on her journey by sharing an ultrasound photo of her unborn child. That arrived alongside some maternity photos of Cardi baring her belly as she sits on a motorcycle.

“I wanna meet my little boo boo soo bad already,” Cardi wrote.

Fans are having fun with this, by re-sharing the ultrasound and giving Cardi’s baby some thematically appropriate names, given that one of her other children is named Wave.

“Cardi shared an ultrasound pic of baby tsunami,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter). Cardi responded, “Y’all and these names [laughing emojis].

Another fan wrote, “Cardi shares ultra sound pic of baby ‘Hurricane,’” to which Cardi replied, “Who???.”

Cardi previously wrote when announcing her pregnancy, “With every ending comes a new beginning! Cardi B recently shared a new maternity shoot with fans, hopping on a motorcycle in what looks like a New York City street with her baby bump fully out and with a passing face card to boot. However, it wasn’t long before these pictures caught quite a lot of flack online, as fans noticed that the wall behind her featured the word “pedophile” spelled out in graffiti. Moreover, fans took issue with this, either blasting the team responsible, thinking that the Bronx femcee wanted to send a subliminal message with this, or clowning the situation of a celebrity failing to realize what’s right in front of them. Against all these concerns and criticisms, she had enough.

“First of all we literally picked a random street because paparazzi was hounding us everywhere,” Cardi B explained via Twitter. “This was supposed to be my original first picture and we had to edit the photos in minutes because the shoot got leaked. Didn’t even have time to go over every detail because people were busy trying to expose my pregnancy as ‘aha’ moment. Second I’m ALWAYS with the s**ts but I’m not using MY MATERNITY shoot to be funny. Are you dumb??”

Cardi B Fires Back At Fans Over “Pedophile” Maternity Shoot

“A team??” Cardi B wrote in response to a user who claimed that she was just trying to cover for her team for not spotting the word “pedophile.” “B***h my makeup artist touched up the picture because we didn’t have time for all that, it says the date and time nobody was paying attention to the graffiti. Second if I wanted to be petty I would’ve posted a lot of memes last week.. I KEEP TELLIN YALL TO LEAVE ME THE F**K ALONE !! If I’m saying I’m not on that time DONT MAKE ME GET ON THAT TIME. Meanwhile, this scandal follows her reunion with her former husband Offset from a couple of days ago. Together, they celebrated their son Wave’s birthday, and it seems like things are all amicable and sweet. Big Sean Is In Peak Form On Charlie Wilson Collab “Break The Cycle”

It seems that the constant aspect that Big Sean is receiving for Better Me Than You is how mature and inspiring it is. Overall, that’s fairly true. However, there are quite a few tracks that take away from how effective this project wants to be in those regards. Additionally, some of Sean Don’s flows and deliveries feel too sleepy at times, weighing down the messages to some extent. In total, his sixth studio album has some boring lows, but also some career-best triumphs. One of them is the joint effort between Big Sean and Charlie Wilson on “Break The Cycle”.

For a first collaboration, their chemistry is pretty much picture perfect. The times in which Wilson’s adlibs/background vocals pop in come at the right moments. They are extremely powerful and soulful (as always), and they really elevate the theme of “Break The Cycle”. Big Sean raps about being able to recognize that you need to make changes if you want to see change. Additionally, he talks about persevering through your own mental roadblocks and proving people wrong. He may not deliver his words in a witty or layered way, but sometimes simplicity is better. For “Break The Cycle”, that is definitely the case, as it feels like Sean is talking to you like a friend. It’s a uplifting moment on the record but it will go down as a top 10 song in his discography, in due time.

NLE Choppa Addresses Backlash To His Support Of The LGBTQ+ Community

NLE Choppa says he has no plans to stop showing love to the LGBTQ community and thanked them for their continued support of his popular single, “Slut Me Out 2.” He made the comments while addressing criticism of and speculation about his sexuality during a recent concert. He also confirmed he’ll be making an appearance at Atlanta Pride.

“If you’re a person that had something to say about me regarding if I’m gay or if I’m this or that, well, this might make you a little bit angrier or more intrigued as you try to conclude who I am,” he stated. “I know who I am deeply and I appreciate who I am. I will be doing my justice by coming to Atlanta for Black Pride, showing love to the LGBTQ community, which has been one of the best audiences streaming ‘Sl*t Me Out 2.’” He concluded: “Just as they pour love into me, I am giving that love back.”

Big Sean had one of last week’s big releases with Better Me Than You. New albums are always prone to sharp-eared listeners looking for disses, and they think they found one here.

As HipHopDX notes, On the Pressure Edition bonus track “Wire Me,” Sean raps, “I mean, I might have to even throw ’em a lil’ boat — pff / I’m seein’ n****s gettin’ drowned out ’cause they can’t switch up the flow / Just give ’em a year or two, and they gettin’ exposed.”

But, Sean says he didn’t diss Yachty despite the “lil boat’ reference. In fact, Yachty actually appears on the album. Sean told Complex:

“I wasn’t talking about [Yachty]. Yachty is on the album as well. On ‘Yes,’ he’s doing ad libs with me. I’m glad you said that, no I’m not taking a jab at Yachty. It was like a whole double entendre. [If I was referencing him] that would have been a whole other entendre [laughs]. He was in the studio with me while I was making the album. He actually has a verse on [‘Yes’], too. I might throw it on there later.”

He also said of the “n****s gettin’ drowned out” line, “To be real with you, when I thought of the bar, I just thought it was clever. I just see a lot of times where people get bored with people’s flows. Sometimes it’s the same flow. I’ve seen that in a lot of artists.”
