21 Savage, Young Thug, And Gunna Take Care Of An ‘Emergency’ On A Haunting Banger

21 Savage recently found himself in a new position. The rapper was given the green light to curate and executive produce the soundtrack for the newly-released film, Spiral: From The Book Of Saw. Considering that the new movie is a horror film, the gruesome tales that appear in 21 Savage’s music, as well as the haunting production that accompanies it, make the Atlanta rapper the ideal artist to provide a soundtrack for the film. On it, 21 Savage calls on a pair of his fellow ATL comrades, Young Thug and Gunna, for a stirring new track titled, “Emergency.”

The song is one of four records that appears on the soundtrack for Spiral: From The Book Of Saw. The project also flaunts appearances from Young Nudy, another Atlanta rapper that is more than worthy of their own attention. It also features Millie Go Lightly and members of 21 Savage’s Slaughter Gang collectives. The project arrives just seven months after 21 Savage made his return with Savage Mode II, his joint album with Metro Boomin. It was met with positive reviews from all around and it would go on to be his and Metro’s second chart-topping albums of their careers.

Nicki Minaj Makes A Royal Return To Her Barbz Beside Drake And Lil Wayne On ‘Seeing Green’

The last full-length album Nicki Minaj delivered to the world came in August 2018 with Queen. The project was underwhelming and failed to live up to the hype and quality of her previous albums and mixtapes. In the years that followed since Queen, Minaj shared a few singles with fans, like “Yikes,” “Megatron,” and “Trollz” with Tekashi 69, but nothing led to a new album. Now, the hope is that will soon change as Minaj makes her long-awaited return through a re-release of one of her most popular mixtapes, Beam Me Up Scotty.

The tape was uploaded with five new additions including “Seeing Green” with Drake and Lil Wayne, the trio’s first track together since 2018’s “No Frauds.” The re-release also features new songs with G Herbo and more. Anticipation for the new music began earlier this week when Minaj shared a picture of herself to her social media pages with a simple caption that read “F R I D A Y.” While that specific post did not confirm that music would be arriving, she would reveal that a new song was on the way in a later post writing in part, “New (music notes emoji) @ MIDNIGHT.”

The track arrives after some high and low moments for Minaj. Last month, the rapper’s 2014 record, “Anaconda,” became the first female solo rap song to reach a billion views on YouTube. She also tied Katy Perry and Rihanna for the most overall music videos with more than a billion views. The feat arrived after Minaj’s father was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on Long Island, resulting in the arrest of a 70-year-old man.

T-Pain Flips A Classic Track Of His With Kehlani For Their Lush Collaboration, ‘I Like Dat’

A couple of weeks ago, T-Pain made a shocking discovery on his Instagram account. It turns out that the “Bartender” singer had accidentally ignored direct messages on the app from some of music and entertainment’s biggest names. Rather than sit and sulk about the missed opportunities, T-Pain turned it into something to laugh and learn from while apologizing to those who he accidentally ignored over the years. Despite the long-overdue response, many of the artists that reached out to T-Pain were still open to collaborating with him and today we’ve received the first of what could be many collaborations.

T-Pain connected with Kehlani for their brand new single, “I Like Dat,” an effort that flips the former’s classic 2005 record, “Buy U A Drank.” The duo previewed the song during a town hall that T-Pain held to apologize to all the people he ignored via Instagram DMs. Kehlani herself was excited for the collaboration to finally come to fruition as she took to Twitter to share her thoughts. “woke up out my sleep to say i really have a song wit t pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” she wrote. “on the flipped beat of Buy You A Drank!!!!!!! this b*tch Buy You A Drank Part 2!!!! what is my life!!!!!!!!!!”

You can check out the new track in the video above.

Nicki Minaj Reunites With Drake & Lil Wayne On “Seeing Green”

The Barbz believed that Nicki Minaj would be returning on Friday (May 14) with a new collaborative single with Rihanna after the two ladies appeared on Instagram wearing the same luxury heels, but they had it all wrong. Those uber-fans were correct in assuming that Minaj had a single on the horizon, but no one expected for her to arrive with “Seeing Green” with Drake and Lil Wayne.

It’s a Young Money Cash Money Billionaires reunion and Hip Hop is going wild. Just ahead of that midnight drop, Nicki took to Instagram Live to share that her 2009 mixtape, Beam Me Up Scotty, would finally arrive on streaming services along with four new tracks, including “Seeing Green” with Drizzy and Weezy.

Minaj has promised that she’s been diligently working on her forthcoming, highly anticipated album that fans have been asking for since the release of her last hit, Queen. Nicki has been enjoying motherhood, but judging by “Seeing Green,” she’s ready to make a triumphant return. Stream “Seeing Green” and let us know what you think.

Quotable Lyrics

No cap, I’m on the capsules, I done relapsed, boo
But I been on my feet since Cinderella lost her glass shoe
That cash blue but I’m still seein’ green
I’m in the bathroom and I’m peein’ lean
My b*tch a vacuum, I told her
Keep me clean it seems serene

21 Savage Dabbles In The Dark Side On “Spiral EP” Ft. Young Thug, Gunna, Young Nudy

It looks like 21 Savage has linked up with Chris Rock. On May 14, horror fans are excited to see just how Rock has revamped the Saw franchise with its latest film, Spiral: From the Book of Saw. Rock stars as a jaded cop named Zeke who begins investigating grisly murders that are eerily similar to those of Jigsaw, but the comedian wanted to bring just a few laughs to the horror flick.

“I love all the other Saw movies but there’s almost no humor in them,” Rock told Yahoo Entertainment about the film. “Once we decided to add humor, it opened us up a little bit. It was always going to stay fresh.”

Adding to the hype surrounding the film is 21 Savage who revealed his accompanying EP, Spiral. The Georgia-based rapper recently shared his “Spiral” single which is a surprising Rap take on the film’s theme song. He isn’t the first artist to revamp the tune as rock and metal artists have tackled it in the past.

J. Cole Is Prepared For The Journey On “The Off-Season”

It’s about that time. J. Cole has been a heavy topic of conversation ever since he shared the release date for The Off-Season, and following his “Interlude” single and his fire freestyle on L.A. Leakers, fans have been waiting on his latest record to hit streaming services. The 12-track project unsurprisingly hosts no features, and the usually quiet Cole shared with SLAM magazine the inspiration and theme of his anticipated project.

“The Off-Season symbolizes the work that it takes to get to the highest height. The Off-Season represents the many hours and months and years it took to get to top form,” he told the publication. “Just like in basketball, what you see him do in the court, that sh*t was worked on in the summertime. So for an athlete, if they take their career seriously and if they really got high goals and want to chase them, the off-season is where the magic really happens; where the ugly sh*t really happens, where the pain happens — the pushing yourself to uncomfortable limits.”

Producers on The Off-Season include Timbaland, Boi-1da, T-Minus, Tommy Parker, Jake One, DJ Dahi, and many more. J. Cole has also spoken about making peace with retiring and it has been reported that he’s set to play basketball for the Rwanda Patriots in the Africa League. Stream The Off-Season and let us know what you think.

Lil Scrappy Talks Pitfalls Of Maintaining A Rap Career While On Reality TV

Nearly 10 years ago, Lil Scrappy joined the cast of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and has been a staple on the series ever since. The ATL native released his Tha Gru$tle album back in 2012, the same year he kicked off his reality television career with VH1, but he hasn’t really dished out new music at the same rate as his fellow rappers. He has shared a few mixtapes and another record, but within the last nine years, fans have primarily seen Lil Scrappy on the Love & Hip Hop franchise and its spin-off series.

The rapper sat down with Big Facts Podcast where he spoke openly about his career, including his longrunning stint on VH1. The hosts wanted to know if a rapper moving to reality television is “signing a death certificate” to their career in music. “Yeah, I’ve seen it happen,” said Scrap. “Before I even got into it, I was looking at [it], I was like, ‘Damn.'”

“But I thought about, I was like, ‘Sh*t, I ain’t even got a Rap career right now, so, you know what I’m saying, I don’t even give a f*ck,'” he added with a laugh. “I didn’t even give a f*ck. And then for real, like, when I say I’m connected with the god that created me, like, he put something in me. He was just—like Bank said man—‘Just keep that sh*t gangster, be yourself, my n*gga.’”

He added that he was told early on that production wouldn’t be following him around all day, every day because they initially only wanted to highlight the ups and downs of his love life. “Even if that, if you not careful, it’ll f*ck your whole love life up. And it done f*cked every last one of mine up. Just destroyed it.”

He was once engaged to Erica Dixon, who is also the mother of his daughter Emani. He moved on to Shay, his longtime friend, who he was secretly seeing and reportedly cheating on Erica. Then, after those relationships imploded, Scrappy dated Bambi, his current wife and mother of his two youngest children. There has been conflict between Erica and Bambi as well, and on VH1’s recent family reunion series, Scrappy wouldn’t even be in the same room as his ex.
