NLE Choppa Defends Coi Leray Against Body-Shaming Trolls

Coi Leray is one of the most exciting new artists to have broken out this year. She’s been bubbling under the radar for a few years but during the quarantine, she was able to rebrand herself and become a serious force among the current slate of women in hip-hop. She’s a social media superstar, earning millions of likes on anything she posts. She’s also rolling out her very own sound, tackling this rap thing a little differently than her peers.

The 24-year-old doesn’t just sound like nobody else in the game — she also doesn’t really look like anyone else. Where the majority of women in hip-hop are flaunting curvier frames with enhanced bottoms and busts, Coi has gone a more natural route, relying on her personality, charm, and musical skill to build a fanbase. Following her big night at the BET Awards, the budding star found herself trending on social media with thousands of haters body-shaming her, as they have consistently done with each new photo or video she’s posted. Making fun of her skinny frame and attempting to make the rapper feel bad about the way she looks, Coi is standing her ground and developing a seriously thick skin, but she’s got the rap game backing her up.

Complaining about how people incessantly shame her for being herself and showing off her natural body, Coi took to Twitter to let off some steam. “My body is always trending. I don’t understand,” she wrote on the platform as part of a larger rant. Memphis rapper NLE Choppa responded to the post, backing her up. “Cause you natural. Fuck em,” he responded.

Hopefully, none of the disturbing comments get to Coi because she’s on the right path and she’s becoming a major powerhouse. Check out the interaction between NLE Choppa and Coi Leray below.

DreamDoll Reveals She Recently Underwent A Butt Reduction

BBL surgery, which is shorthand for a Brazilian butt lift, has been the talk of the town recently. The procedure involves the enhancement of one’s buttocks using fat collected from other areas of the body. The term “BBL” began recently trending on social media after viral footage showed women lined up at an airport waiting to be escorted on a wheelchair after undergoing the procedure.

Many celebrities have been open about getting the enhancement, while others have simply been suspected of getting the additional help to achieve their signature curves. DreamDoll is one person who’s been open about going under the knife for a BBL. On Monday (June 28), she took to Instagram to reveal she recently underwent a butt reduction, adding that it was her fourth time getting work done.

“Yall, so I just completed a hip removal and a butt reduction,” explained the Bronx rapper in her Instagram story. “This is my fourth time, it is a process y’all have to be patient, okay.”

She shared a subsequent story post showing off her new, slimmer figure. BBLs have notably risen in popularity amongst millennials and Gen-Zers. Dr. Terry Dubrow, known for his work correcting surgery mishaps on Botched, told TMZ that the surgery is “the most fatal operation there is.”

“It’s extraordinarily dangerous. It turns out that it’s the most dangerous, not only plastic surgery procedure, it’s the most dangerous operation there is with the highest fatality rate,” the famed surgeon said.

He went on to add, “The problem is there’s these very small, little veins in the buttock that leads directly to the vena cave, which is the major blood vessel that brings blood back from your body to your heart, to your lungs. If you get fat in those little vessels and it gets in the main vena cava and goes to your lungs, it’s over.”

Hopefully, the dangers of going under the knife for a BBL procedure are being relayed to the large amounts of young people subjecting themselves to it.

DJ Yella Reveals He Was Homeless For 3 Years, Despite NWA Success

DJ Yella says that he was homeless for three years, from 2010 until 2013, despite the worldwide success of NWA. Yella spoke about the dark period in his life during a new interview on the Murder Master Music Show, while promoting his upcoming memoir, Straight Outta Compton: My Untold Story.

“I call it homeless because I didn’t have my own place,” Yella explained. “I had to be on my sister’s couch or somebody’s couch. I wasn’t on the street, but I was like a breath…one breath from it.”

“When I was going through those three and a half years, I wasn’t mad at nobody, I wasn’t mad at the world, I wasn’t mad at God, I was just, ‘It is what it is,'” he added. “And I never had any thoughts of how to get out of it. I never thought about it.”

Kyle Massey’s Mom Claims Felony Charges Are Part Of Extortion Plot

Former Disney star Kyle Massey has been facing some legal troubles in recent times. Earlier today, reports claimed that Kyle Massey was charged with one felony count of immoral communication with a minor. Legal documents state that he allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to a minor between December 2018 and January 2019.

Massey’s mother has emerged in defense of her son. In a post shared to Instagram, Angel Massey clarified that her son is not in jail but insisted that he’s being extorted. She explained that the allegations were already made public after Kyle was sued in 2019 over the alleged incident. Angel added that this entire legal matter was spearheaded by the 13-year-old’s mother, comparing the case to child support.

“This is basically one of those things, kinda like a scorned — in my opinion — a scorned, you know, like when a man gets a new job and the baby mama goes and you know, go back to the courtroom and go to the courthouse trying to get more child support. It’s kinda synonymous to that,” Angel said. “She tried to extort us out of the $1.5 million and I respectfully told her that we are going to take our chances with the justice system and we’re going to do the same here.”

In the caption, she wrote, “She took the same CALIFORNIA COMPLAINT that she was unsuccessful in prosecuting and filed it in SEATTLE where she lives. MY SON KYLE IS THE VICTIM TODAY JUST AS HE WAS BACK ON FEBRUARY 14,2019 when we got the 1.5 MILLION DOLLAR EXTORTION DEMAND!”

“Tha Carter” Turns 17 Years Old But Hasn’t Aged A Day

Seventeen years ago, the Cash Money poster boy etched his name in hip-hop history. And that’s not to say he didn’t do so prior to 2004, because Lil Wayne has been around since Reasonable Doubt was barely a baby. We’re saying so literally. Tha Carter was an unprecedented stepping stone in his discography at the time of its release.

Making a name for himself as part of the Hot Boys was integral, but it’s clear who the most genuine talent in there was, not to discredit Juvenile.  And we could sit here all day discussing how vital “Go DJ” is to his hitmaking formula and how “I Miss My Dawgs” showcases his vulnerable side, but… that’d be a bitch.

The penultimate track in the first installment of Weezy’s eponymous anthology, “Ain’t That A Bitch,” hones one of the strongest hooks in the icon’s discography. Spitting like he’s on the prowl for his final breath, he’s practically barking: “The cops is watchin’, the streets is talkin’ / Ya hoes is unfaithful, ya family ungrateful / Ya n***as ain’t loyal, ya n***as ain’t lawyers”. Accompanied by Mannie Fresh’s bounciness that encompassed the onslaught of Wayne’s early stuff, there’s genuinely no room for error in this track.

While ultimately ditching Fresh for his following projects, which turned out to be the best decision in his career dictated from the moment you hit play on Tha Carter II, this was the epitome of whatever people like to call a signature soundAnd while its production is dated, that doesn’t mean this bounce can be emulated.

Quotable Lyrics:
I’m a muthafuckin man so respect me as one or the tech meet ya ass son
The tech heat ya ass son put ya fuckin chest beneath ya ass son
Blooka blook blap bleep ya ass son
Nigga tryin to see his grandson and we
Got niggas in the pen tryin to see me wit a Grammy
Wanna be me and don’t even understand me
