Claudia Jordan Hopes Zaya Wade Doesn’t “Feel Any Pressure” Or Have “Regrets”

The interview between Michelle Obama and 13-year-old Zaya Wade has caused pushback in the industry. The teen daughter of NBA icon Dwyane Wade and stepdaughter to Gabrielle Union came forward last year to announce that she would be living as a transgender girl, and since that time, the Wade family has been the subject of criticism. They’ve banded together in support of Zaya, but after the teen interviewed the former First Lady, people like B2K’s J-Boog and rapper Lil Mama came forward. J-Boog called it “demonic” and Lil Mama spoke to the “depopulation” agenda, and now Fox Soul’s Cocktails with Queens are adding their two cents.

“Some people are not properly articulating how uncomfortable they may feel about a child being pushed—what they think, they think the child is being pushed to the front of the agenda. Pushed to be the face of this. If Zaya is one thousand percent okay with that, then I’m all for it,” said Claudia Jordan before she was interrupted by LisaRaye McCoy.

“Or, Claudia, is people surprised or taken aback by the push of changing him to a her surgically,” added LisaRaye. Claudia responded, “I think that… It’s a lot. I feel like it’s really none of my business but this is our job to talk about these things. When you’re going through puberty early on in your life, it was so many thoughts in your head. I didn’t know what I was supposed to be or what was normal. What are these weird feelings I’m having? And I mean weird to me.”

“So, I just hope that there are no regrets later on,” Claudia continued. “I want Zaya at the end of it to not feel any pressure. If Zaya ever felt like, ‘You know what, I don’t feel this way anymore.’ Does Zaya feel this uncomfortable—this ridiculous amount of pressure to not be able to go back? Not saying that she wants to, but I just feel like it’s such a young age to have so many, so much pressure on her shoulders.”

That being said, Claudia Jordan doesn’t believe that anyone should come down on Michelle Obama for encouraging and uplifting a child. “There should be no criticism for that,” she added. Vivica Fox called Michelle and Zaya’s exchange “beautiful” and noted that Zaya “is happy in the skin she’s in.” Check out a clip of the discussion below.

Rihanna Is Reportedly Preparing To Launch A ‘Fenty Hair’ Line

While the majority of Rihanna fans are waiting for a new album from the singer, as her last one arrived in 2016 with Anti, the long wait don’t mean that she’s spent the last five years doing little to nothing. Rihanna has been hard at work building her Fenty empire, one that began in 2017 thanks to the launch of Fenty Beauty. The following year she would start her Savage X Fenty lingerie line and in 2019, her Fenty fashion house was officially born. After debuting Fenty Skin last year, Rihanna is preparing to bring a new line to her company, that being Fenty Hair.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, the singer filed a trademark application for Fenty Hair on March 3. The publication reports that the trademark looks to cover “everything from styling, straightening, relaxing and waving products, as well as hair color and even hair glitter.” The news comes after the singer decided to shut down her Fenty fashion house last month, one that was launched in collaboration with LVMH. Despite this, it was also announced last month ago that Savage X Fenty’s net worth reached $1 billion.

After hearing news of the new line, fans celebrated the news on Twitter and one support shared a great reaction to it. “Can’t wait to be around the house in my Fenty furniture, Fenty Skin on, in my Savage X Fenty, doing my Fenty Hair, wearing Fenty X Puma, while listening to absolutely NOTHING,” they said, throwing a slight jab at the singer’s yet-unreleased ninth album.

Mulatto Takes Fans Behind The Scenes Of A Photoshoot In “BeatBox Freestyle” Visual

The song of the season is SpotemGottem’s “BeatBox” as it is the latest track to take social media by storm. Rappers have been borrowing the beat to add their own bars to the mix, and after hinting that she had some new heat on the way, Mulatto shares her addition to the wave. SpotemGottem is climbing the charts thanks to TikTok challenges and his fellow rappers shining a light on the single, and Mulatto threw her hat in the ring.

Along with the Georgia rapper’s “BeatBox Freestyle” comes an accompanying visual where Mulatto takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like for her on the set of a photoshoot. She dons different looks as she spits her usual boastful bars and fans may recognize a few of those wardrobe changes because the rapper has been sharing photos from the video shoot to her Instagram. Check out Mulatto’s “BeatBox Freestyle” and let us know how you think she measures up.

Nick Jonas Desperately Attempts To Return Home In His Unearthly ‘Spaceman’ Video

Nearly five years ago, Nick Jonas unleashed his third album, Last Year Was Complicated. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard album charts and spawned one of his most successful tracks, “Close” with Tove Lo, which peaked at No. 14 on the singles chart and served as the third top-20 hit of his career. Despite the success, Nick would take a break from his solo career and spend the next few years a coach on The Voice and making a Jonas Brothers comeback with his siblings Kevin and Joe. Now, Nick is back, and on Friday he’ll release his fourth album, Spaceman.

Its arrival is preceded by a new video for the album’s title track. For it, the singer finds himself on a foreign planet as he desperately attempts to return home. Nick runs across the unfamiliar terrain while passionately singing the lyrics from “Spaceman:” “I’m tryna get home, I’m a spaceman.” The visual also features an appearance from his wife, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, in the form of a hologram.

The visual arrives after Nick hosted and performed on a recent episode of Saturday Night Live where he sang “Spaceman” and debuted his “This Is Heaven” single.

You can watch the video above.

Spaceman is out 03/12 via Island. Pre-order it here.

Nike Air Force 1 Low “Rhubarb” Coming Soon: Photos

When the Nike Air Force 1 Low dropped all the way back in 1982, it proved to be an immediate hit. So much so, that eventually, the Air Force 1 Low became the very first shoe to get its own retro. While the triple-white and triple-black colorways are the most popular, Nike has dropped some unique offerings over the years, and they are always working on new stuff. Recently, the brand devised a brand new “Plant Dye” collection and one of them is the Air Force 1 Low “Rhubarb” which can be found below.

As you can see, the sneaker has a white leather upper that is complemented by a light brown Nike swoosh and a dark brown outsole. From there, the word rhubarb is placed on the back heel on top of the Nike Air insignia. We also get an actual rhubarb plant on the tongue which helps go along with the entire aesthetic. All-in-all, it’s a pretty unique model, and if you love rhubarb, then you can’t go wrong with these.

Pairs are slated to be released in the coming weeks and they will be sold for a modest price of $110 USD. Let us know what you think of these, in the comments below.

Iggy Azalea Once Again Accuses Streaming Services Of Payola: “Worse Than Radio”

She has previously voiced concerns over payola in the industry, and Iggy Azalea feels justified by a new exposé published by Rolling Stone. The outlet has made repeated articles about the alleged pay-for-play scandals that continue in the music industry although there are rules and laws in place to keep that from happening. Still, Rolling Stone has made claims that payola is alive and well, and they dropped a few names of artists and labels who have been benefiting from pay-to-play on radio stations and streaming services, including G-Eazy.

Iggy Azalea caught heat some time ago for alleging that streaming platforms were inflating numbers. “Y’all act like it’s not a thing. It is a thing & it’s not even being monitored yet the way radio payola is at least policed,” the rapper previously tweeted. After reading through this latest report, Azalea felt justified and returned with a few more thoughts.

Iggy retweeted the link to Rolling Stone‘s article and added, “Remember when the internet said I was making up that streaming has payola worse than radio. [upside down smiley face emoji],” wrote Azalea. “Glad someone’s starting to expose the secret world of streaming and ‘curators’ it’s time.” Check out a few of Iggy’s old posts about payola as well as her new tweets below and let us know if you believe streaming numbers when they’re announced.

Coi Leray & Lil Durk Kick Out Unwelcomed Guests In “No More Parties (Remix)” Visual

It’s time for Coi Leray to rid herself of leeches and she means business. The rapper recently shared the remix to her “No More Parties” single featuring Lil Durk, and today (March 11), Leray delivered the music video. As the title of the track suggests, Coi is looking to make some changes to get herself on track and in the visual, she’s taking charge and cleaning house, literally.

The visual opens with Coi texting the “Leach” who apparently hosted a wild party at the rapper’s home. Inside, there are people sleeping in all rooms, people are playing Beer Pong, and empty red Solo cups are abundant, but Leray has had enough and calls on Lil Durk to help her get things together. For good measure, Coi also adds a sexy bathtub scene, so press play above and watch Coi Leray and Lil Durk manhandle unwelcomed guests in the visual to “No More Parties (Remix).” Make sure to catch Leray’s nod to her father, Benzino, as well.

Air Jordan 35 Low To Debut In “Black & White” Colorway: Photos

This year’s Jumpman sneaker, the Air Jordan 35, has been worn on NBA courts all season long and it continues to get new colorways. Typically, every single new Air Jordan model also gets a low-top offering, and the Jordan 35 will not be exempt from that trend. During the All-Star Game, Jordan Brand athlete Luka Doncic wore the very first pair of the Air Jordan 35 Low, and now, Jumpman is ready to unleash it onto the retail market.

The first Air Jordan 35 Low will be this clean and simple “White and Black” colorway which can be found below. The upper mainly features white leather material, all while the middle is filled with black. Black is also found on the midsole, leading to an interesting “Oreo” aesthetic that fans of Jordan Brand should recognize by now. This shoe looks great in a low-top form, and we will certainly be seeing more new colorways of it soon.

For now, a release date has not yet been set although these are expected to drop soon so keep your eyes peeled at your local retailer. As always, let us know what you think of these, in the comments below. Also, keep it locked to HNHH for more sneaker updates.
