Kyle Kuzma & Winnie Harlow Call It Quits

Throughout the last year or so, Kyle Kuzma and Winnie Harlow have been in what seemed like the perfect relationship. Regardless of what was happening on the court, Harlow remained supportive of Kuzma’s basketball career, and oftentimes, she could be seen at games. Harlow was even Kuzma’s guest in the NBA bubble last season as she got to see him take home an NBA title.

Now, Kuzma is going to DC where he will play for the Washington Wizards. According to TMZ, Harlow will not be making that trip to the Nation’s Capital as the two have officially broken up.

Based on the reports coming from TMZ, these two are still on very good terms and that the breakup took place a week ago. It is unknown why these two decided to call it quits, although moving to Washington certainly doesn’t help matters. Either way, it’s good to see that the two are still good friends. In fact, both parties have yet to delete their Instagram photos together, which is a sign that there was nothing super dramatic going on.

This is certainly sad news for both of them, although it’s good to see them remain friends. All too often, these high-profile breakups become huge to-dos on social media, although in this instance, the two remained lowkey which is certainly admirable.

R. Kelly Allegedly Married An Underage Aaliyah So She Couldn’t Testify About Her Pregnancy

During R. Kelly’s racketeering and sex trafficking trial in Brooklyn, his former tour manager dropped a bombshell regarding Aaliyah. Billboard reports that Demetrius Smith, who served as Kelly’s tour manager for twelve years, from 1984 until 1996, testified Friday that Kelly married Aaliyah while she was underage because she was pregnant. Smith reportedly testified that Kelly “told me that Aaliyah was ‘in trouble,” and added “‘Don’t call Barry [Kelly’s manager and Aaliyah’s uncle, Barry Hankerson], it’s deeper than you think.’”

Smith’s testimony further incriminates Kelly and his business manager and accountant Daryl McDavid, who allegedly helped make plans for Kelly and Aaliyah to be married, so she couldn’t testify about the pregnancy if it came to that. “R. Kelly said, ‘Aaliyah, man. She thinks she’s pregnant,’” Smith stated in his testimony “It was a shock.” The pair were married in Cook County, Illinois in 1996 — Aaliyah had turned 15 six days before, though the marriage certificate was falsified to state she was 18 at the time. Their marriage was later annulled.

Kelly is charged with racketeering and 14 other underlying acts, which includes kidnapping, sex trafficking and forced labor, as well as eight counts of violating the federal Mann Act, an act that outlaws sex trafficking across state lines. He will face ten years to life in prison if convicted on all counts. After her tragic death, fans have been disappointed that her iconic album One In A Million wasn’t on streaming services, but it officially hit streaming today.

R. Kelly Trial: Former Assistant Claims Singer Lived In “Twilight Zone”

Following years of updates, troubling reports, television specials, and anticipation, R. Kelly’s New York trial has begun. Within its first few days, shocking testimony from the disgraced singer’s alleged victims has unraveled in real-time as women have taken the stand with claims that Kelly pursued them while they were underage. We previously reported that Azriel Clary, who lived with Kelly in recent years, would be taking the stand, and now The New York Times is reporting on Kelly’s former assistant testifying about his experience.

A man named Anthony Navarro took to the stand to speak about his alleged experiences while being employed by Kelly. He claims that the singer lived in a “Twilight Zone” where he acted as superior, making decisions that would disturb outsiders.

According to Navarro, Kelly ruled with an iron fist and controlled everything that everyone did, including ordering food and determining whether or not they could leave his mansion in the suburbs of Chicago. While Navarro said he never personally witnessed sexual abuse by Kelly, he testified that any girls or women who came to the mansion were placed under rules so strict that they seemed to feel as if they didn’t have a choice but to do what he said.

Navarro also testified that many of the alleged victims that lived in the mansion weren’t given food for long periods of time, nor were they permitted to leave. “There’s been times where they wanted to (leave) but couldn’t because they couldn’t get a ride or we couldn’t get ahold of Rob,” he told the court.

R. Kelly has denied the accusations against him and believes that his current cases are a product of an overzealous “#MeToo” movement.

Dak Prescott’s Shoulder Injury Receives Preseason Update

Dak Prescott suffered a brutal ankle injury last season and since that time, fans have been praying for his return. The Dallas Cowboys haven’t had a lot to cheer about over these past few years although Prescott is one player the fanbase has been able to get behind. If the team wants any chance at making it to the postseason and actually win some games then Prescott will need to be on his game.

While Prescott has recovered from his ankle injury, he is now dealing with a bunch of shoulder issues. Prescott hasn’t been able to throw the ball and former players like Michael Irvin are now concerned about what this could mean for the season.

According to reporter Todd Archer, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy came out and said today that while Prescott can now throw the ball a bit more, he is still not ready to play a game and that it could be a while before he is 100 percent.

“He’ll definitely be involved in some form of practice more than this week,” he said, “but to stand here and tell you he’d be full-go and take all the reps, I’m not there yet.”

This is going to be a unique situation for the Cowboys, especially with the season just a couple of weeks away. Recovering from a shoulder injury is no easy task, and with expectations high, Prescott could find himself rushing back, which would be worse for his health.

CJ McCollum Gives An Update On Damian Lillard’s Mentality

This has been an interesting offseason for Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers. There have been various rumors that Dame wants out of Portland and while he has denied all of them, it hasn’t stopped the fans from speculating. Not to mention, the Blazers have done virtually nothing in Free Agency, which has left some analysts feeling like Dame needs to leave the franchise out of principle, alone.

Regardless, Lillard seems ready for a brand new season of NBA basketball, and his closest teammate seems positive of Dame’s intentions. While speaking to Adrian Wojnarowski on “The Woj Pod,” CJ McCollum spoke about Lillard and how the Blazers superstar is locked in to win a title this year. While the team may not be at its peak, McCollum seems to think that Lillard is ready to roll, regardless.

“I don’t want to speak for him, but having a close relationship with him … I have a pretty good sense of where he’s at. His goal is to win a championship. But … he’s all-in. At this stage, I can say he’s all-in. He just wants to win,” McCollum revealed.

Dame has always been about “the grind” so it should come as no surprise that he doesn’t want to leave the team that drafted him. Lillard has always been against the idea of a superteam, and to go back on that now would be a huge blow to his personal brand as a player.

Stay tuned to HNHH as we will continue to provide updates from the NBA world.

Rod Wave Believes Labels Are Finding Artists To Copy His Style

Is Rod Wave being duplicated? On Friday (August 20), the 22-year-old rising artist released the deluxe version of his celebrated project Soul Fly, and a few bars caught the attention of fans. On Soul Fly Deluxe, Rod collides with Kodak Black on their collaboration “Get Ready.” It was there that he made mention of labels seeking out similar-looking and sounding artists that mirror his style.

Thankful for the promoters, I open up on the mics / Now I’m singing for you three months back to back, I sell out every night / Labels used to look past me, now they trying to remake me / Grab a fat nigga out the trenches and replace me / Tryna duplicate me, can’t be / This always been my dream / I always heard this voice in the back of my head sing,” said Rod Wave on his track.
