Legendary Long Beach emcee, RBX, has teamed up with legendary Compton emcee, MC Eiht, to release a brand new single & music video featuring up-and-coming emcee/producer, Sccit, titled “Midnight Drive” The hard hitting single off of RBX’s new album, Hibernation Shivers, is produced by Sccit & Siavash The Grouch and co-produced by Eligh (of Living Legends fame).

The accompanying music video takes you on a visual journey to the west coast via a captivating nocturnal melody that captures the essence of cruising down the streets of Los Angeles at the stroke of midnight. “Compton & Long Beach together .. now you know you in trouble..The 2024 version, ya dig?” Said RBX. “Geah! What’s more Hip-Hop than DJ Premier and Snoop Dogg. Premier is unquestionably one of the greatest producers of all time, and Snoop Dogg is arguably the most famous rapper ever.

Though Premier and Snoop have worked together previously; Snoop appeared on Gang Starr’s The Ownerz Album (“In The Life…”), Premier produced two songs on Snoop’s Paid Tha Cost To Be Da Boss album (one of which he discussed on his influential “So Wassup” series), “Unfucwitable” feat The Lady Of Rage from Snoop’s Doggy Style Allstars Vol. 1, “Can U Dig That?” is their first collaboration under DJ Premier and Ian Schwartzman’s independent imprint TTT.

16-Time Grammy Award Winner Alicia Keys Debuts Video For “Kaleidoscope”

Alicia Keys and the Broadway company of HELL’S KITCHEN today released the original music video for “Kaleidoscope,” the new songwritten for the musical HELL’S KITCHEN by 16-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys featuring Maleah Joi Moon. With Keys, lead cast member Maleah Joi Moon, and the Broadway company of HELL’S KITCHEN, the video also has a colorful cast of extras to showcase a true New York kaleidoscope of music, dance and community. Filmed entirely at Manhattan Plaza, the video is a love letter to the Hell’s Kitchen community where Alicia Keys was born and raised. From Manhattan Plaza’s courtyard to the Ellington Room where Alicia first learned to play the piano, the visual soars with the magic of the city, a world full of hopes and dreams and the long-held belief of every New Yorker that “anything is possible here.”

The video’s director Kajal, a New York native herself, wanted to capture the rhythm and energy of the city that are the heartbeat of the song and the musical. Leading an all-female directing team, Kajal uses the lights and sounds of the city along with unique camera angles, vintage lenses, wide angles and more to bring cinematic flair to the story. Choreography was directed by HELL’S KITCHEN choreographer Camille A. Brown.

The cast of characters in the video were encouraged to bring their own sense of style to their wardrobe, something with their own unique sense of New York swagger. Alicia joined in — fans will see a nod to her family ties in a scene where she wears an exclusive custom-made GIANTS vest from the Dean Collection exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum, designed by Savant.

“This video is so special to me, it captures the spirit of Hell’s Kitchen, the place I grew up, and the new musical we’ve worked so hard to bring to life! One that is now debuting on Broadway on 4/20! BX Drill Rapper DThang Pays Homage To 50 Cent On “Many Opps”

With his tireless intensity and ominous bars, the Bronx’s DThang continues to leave a lasting impression in his city’s prolific drill rap scene. Never leaving room for dead air on a track and in his rising profile, DThang shares “Many Opps.”

“Many Opps” finds DThang rapping across a haunting piano-led instrumental with ease. Earlier this year, Missy Elliott unveiled her history-making debut headline tour, OUT OF THIS WORLD — The Missy Elliott Experience.

The tour, featuring Hip-Hop legend Busta Rhymes, multi-Platinum-selling superstar Ciara, and mega-producer Timbaland, marks a milestone in Elliott’s groundbreaking career.

Saigon And Onyx’s Fredro Starr Featuring Kool G Rap “Make Money”

In conjunction with the celebration of Hip-Hop’s landmark 50^th anniversary, legendary rapper Saigon & and Swedish multi-platinum producer Fredro have joined forces to create a love letter to Hip-Hop. Specifically, 1986-1996, a/k/a The Jordan Era. They have also tapped many other legendary voices to help join their celebration.

After announcing their new album, and releasing the project’s first single and video, “Lyrical Genius,” which featured one of Hip-Hop’s “holy trinity of emcees” in Grandmaster Caz (co-author of “Rappers Delight” and the emcee with the longest running tenure atop the billboard Hot 100 Charts), Saigon and Fredro have continued to roll out singles that require the presence of legends only, following up with “Get Loose” featuring Pete Rock and “Think Twice” featuring Grand Puba.

Now, with their latest single, “Make Money,” Saigon and Fredro collaborate with yet another legend, who is inarguably, one of the culture’s most influential and respected emcees in Kool G Rap (who was also recently inducted into the National Hip Hop Museum).
