‘Love And Hip Hop’ Star Tommie Lee Arrested In Miami On Battery Charges

Several reports have confirmed that Love And Hip Hop star Tommie Lee was arrested on battery charges in Miami over the weekend in an incident that occurred at the famous LIV Nightclub.

Miami Police records say that police arrived at LIV to find Lee being subdued by a man who claims that he was assaulted by the reality star. The man told police that he was approached by Lee, who he believed was trying to give him an unknown object. The man didn’t accet the object, which is when Lee allegedly began being belligerent and even said she would have him killed.

The man said he’s never met Tommie Lee before this incident.

He claims that the 39-year-old continually poked him in his face which prompted him to grab her by the arms and held her until the police arrived. Authorities took a look at surveillance footage, which was consistent with the unidentified man’s version of events.

Tommie Lee was then placed under arrest for misdemeanor battery.

De La Soul To Showcase Revealing ‘Chapter 3’ Documentary On YouTube June 7

De La Soul, the legendary hip-hop group, is set to showcase their highly anticipated documentary, Chapter 3, beginning June 7 through June 14 on YouTube, as well as the band’s Facebook, Twitter and official website. Chapter 3 chronicles the iconic studio sessions leading up to the 2023 re-release and remaster of De La Soul’s catalog, one of the most storied music collections in hip-hop. These sessions marked the first time in almost three decades that Posdnuos, Dave, Maseo, and producer Prince Paul ventured into the same studio together in service of a De La Soul project.

Fans can view the live stream presentation series, broadcasting daily in different time zones. The schedule is as follows:

“The Magic Number” music video is a riff on two dueling concepts that have long been part of the De La Soul brand: The Soul and artificial intelligence (AI). With their Artofficial Intelligence (AOI) albums, De La Soul proved to be ahead of their time, discussing the concept of AI and its impact on art. This video was created using generative art based AI to make uniquely timely. However, without the heart infused by the De La Soul members themselves, it’s missing the vital “Soul” element, revealing an important commentary on AI’s place in art.

This project began while Dave was still alive and transformed into something deeply poignant following his passing in February 2023. Pos and Maseo’s efforts to support the De La brand during this pivotal moment are a testament to their dedication and resilience. “The Magic Number” stands as a companion piece to the documentary, showcasing De La’s last time as a trio, which is sadly the last time all three members were together.

Academy Award Nominee Colman Domingo Joins New Netflix Comedy Series ‘The Four Seasons’

Academy Award-nominated actor Colman Domingo has been on a tear in Hollywood. The celebrated actor, whose recent credits include “Rustin,” ”The Color Purple,” “Sing Sing,” and “Euphoria,” joins Tina Fey and Steve Carell in Netflix’s upcoming comedy series The Four Seasons.

The Universal Television produced series is an adaptation of the 1981 feature film of the same name. Details about Domingo’s character remain undisclosed, but he will be a series regular.

Domingo recently earned his first Oscar nomination for portraying Bayard Rustin in Netflix’s “Rustin.” He delivered a powerful performance as Mister in Warner Bros’ “The Color Purple.” He has appeared in Ethan Coen’s “Drive-Away Dolls,” and for genre fans, he concluded an eight-season run on AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” His upcoming projects include the prison drama “Sing Sing,” which is already highly praised for his role. “Sing, Sing” is set to premiere July 12 via A24. The Netflix limited series “The Madness,” is on the horizon and then there’s the Michael Jackson biopic “Michael,” where he will portray the controversial family patriarch, Joe Jackson. “Michael” is set to release on April 18, 2025. There’s high hopes that the latter will be iconic. We’re predicting “King Richard” vibes, albeit a bit darker and more controversial? We’ll have to wait and see how Domingo shapes Jackson, for the big screen.

“The Four Seasons” is being executive produced by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher, Tracey Wigfield, David Miner, Eric Gurian and Jeff Richmond. Alan Alda and Marissa Bregman will produce. Fey, Fisher, and Wigfield handle the writing. Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, is producing alongside Fey’s production banner, Little Stranger, Inc.

Gersh, Liebman Entertainment, and Schreck Rose Dapello represent Domingo.

Watch: ‘Venom: The Last Dance’ Trailer is Released

There is hope for the exhaustion with superhero films now that Sony Pictures just unveiled the first trailer for Venom: The Last Dance, the final installment in the Spider-Man villain trilogy. Tom Hardy reprises his role as Eddie Brock, the host of the brain-eating symbiote Venom. The movie is described as “the final film in the trilogy,” with a logline that states, “Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”

The exciting trailer features Hardy confronting a massive symbiote alien from Venom’s home planet … Full stop. Can we talk about how this feels like an alien invasion film? Not complaining but just sayin … Anyways, the symbiotic alien is being pursued by government agents. Trailer highlights include intense symbiote action and a scene where Hardy rides a super-fast, Venom-ized horse. The film also stars Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Fans of the beloved comic franchise recently saw Venom teased in the MCU’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” post-credits scene, where the character was affected by Dr. Strange’s multiverse spell, briefly bringing him into the MCU. However, he was sent back to his universe, leaving behind a piece of his symbiote.

The studio confirmed “Venom 3” at CinemaCon 2022 after the success of its predecessors. The original “Venom” grossed $856 million globally, and “Venom: Let There Be Carnage” garnered $502 million worldwide despite its pandemic release.

Kelly Marcel, who wrote the previous films, makes her directorial debut with “Venom: The Last Dance” and co-wrote the script with Hardy. Let’s applaud more women directing in Hollywood and we need more of this! The film is produced by Marcel, Hardy, Avi Arad, Hutch Parker, Amy Pascal, and Matt Tolmach.

Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25.

Mahershala Ali Considering New ‘Jurassic World’ Film Alongside Scarlett Johansson

Two-time Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali is in talks to star in the upcoming Jurassic World film alongside Marvel’s Avengers star Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey.

As reported in The Hollywood Reporter, Ali is considering joining the star-studded cast, which already includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Rupert Friend. This film will be the next chapter in the multi-billion dollar Jurassic World franchise. It will be directed by Gareth Edwards, who you may know from the Godzilla and Warner Bros monsters universe. Production is set to begin in mid-June in London.

The creative story direction of the new story remains uncertain, particularly after the last film dramatically altered Jurassic World by releasing dinosaurs into the wild, thus endangering the ecosystem. While fans anticipate that future films will address these consequences, The Hollywood Reporter does note that no plot details have been disclosed. And, honestly, that’s common these days.

David Koepp, the original screenwriter of Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, has returned to write the script for this installment. That’s a good sign. Fans who believe the franchise has strayed might find comfort in Koepp’s return to the pages, potentially signaling a nod to the franchise’s roots.

Steven Spielberg will serve as executive producer through Amblin Entertainment, with Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley producing via Kennedy/Marshall. Universal’s executive vice president of production, Sara Scott, will oversee the project, with the studio’s creative executive Jacqueline Garell.

The film is set for a July 2, 2025 theatrical release. Thankfully. Theaters. Yes!

‘Back in Action’ First Look Starring Jamie Foxx With Cameron Diaz in Her Return to Hollywood

Netflix has unveiled the first photos from “Back in Action,” an upcoming film starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, marking her return to acting. The cast also includes Kyle Chandler, Glenn Close, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson.

Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.

During Netflix’s Upfronts presentation in New York, Foxx spoke about reuniting with Diaz, saying, “A lot of people don’t know this, but after Cameron and I did ‘Any Given Sunday’ and ‘Annie’ together, we became friends in real life — and I’ve been begging her to come play with me again.
