Kid Cudi Thanks Pusha T For Being His Only Real Friend At Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music

Kid Cudi and Kanye West have a very strong but very complicated relationship over the years. It’s been a lot of ups and downs, but through it all, few would argue that each individual in this KIDS SEE GHOSTS duo has a more kindred artistic or personal spirit with anyone else that isn’t Cudi or Ye. The only one that comes close to that is another of Kanye’s collab album partners, Jay-Z. But the Cleveland creative has now put that into question, as he recently shouted out someone who he called his only real friend (“How many of us?“) when he was at the Chicago artist’s G.O.O.D. Music label: Pusha T.

“Push has been my closest homie since day 1,” Kid Cudi tweeted on Wednesday (September 18). “He embraced me from jump and always has my back. When I was on GOOD music, he was like literally the only one I had a true relationship with. Thats my big bro and I love him forever. We def gon keep puttin out heat for yall [winky face emoji].” We can only wonder what Kanye West might think of this…

However, earlier this year, Kid Cudi made it clear that he squashed a lot of his issues with Kanye West after Ye apologized to him privately. “The reason we became cool again is he apologized to me,” he told Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “And it was sincere. I was like, ‘Wow, Kanye does not apologize to anyone, he doesn’t say sorry to anyone. That’s my brother, man. I know he loves me. There’s just nothing like Kanye and Cudi. We like the duo everybody loves to see.

“I know that in his soul, there is a good man there ’cause I’ve seen it,” Kid Cudi continued. “You don’t give up on people. He’s learning and he’s growing. He knows he made some mistakes. That’s the beauty of it. The beautiful thing is he knows he’s been on a hell of a ride and he knows he’s said some things that he might not be able to come back from in a lot of realms, a lot of spaces with certain people but we grow. I pray for him. That’s my brother.”

50 Cent Recalls Passing On Signing Desiigner After Learning Some Crucial Information

50 Cent is a mogul in the music world and he knows how to find talent. Overall, with his years of experience in the game, he can tell within a few minutes whether or not an artist can be a star. Consequently, when it comes to signing new talents, he has to make some pretty tough decisions. For instance, back in 2016, he decided not to sign Desiigner following his smash hit “Panda.” As we all know, Desiigner ended up signing to Kanye West and subsequently faded into obscurity.

While speaking to Gillie and Wallo on Million Dollaz Worth of Game, Fif made some interesting comments about Desiigner and the mad dash that ensued to sign the star. 50 Cent says he took a meeting with him and was ready to put ink on the paper, however, when he asked Desiigner about his other songs, the artist had no answer. This is because he only had one song. Fif saw this as a massive red flag and ended up passing on the artist.

Knowing what we know now, this was probably for the best. Desiigner never became a bonafide superstar. Furthermore, he ultimately got into legal trouble when he exposed himself on a plane. When you put all of this together, it can be said that Fif dodged a bullet. While Desiigner has made attempts at a comeback, so far, they have mostly fallen short.

Let us know how you feel about this revelation from 50 Cent, in the comments section down below. Do you believe Desiigner would have had a better career if he signed with 50 Cent? Or was his downfall going to be inevitable? Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates from around the music world. Big Sean Rejects The ‘Bullsh*t’ Fan Theory That Kanye West Leaked His Music

Big Sean has proved time and time again that he’s going to ride with his home team. This brother of musical bandits, still includes Kanye West (Ye). Yesterday (July 19), the “Precision” rapper made that clear.

During a livestream, Big Sean shutdown online fan theories that Ye was the person behind his supposed Better Me Than You album leaks.

“I know he didn’t do that because look at this,” he said. “You see this plaque right here? That’s 185 million records sold under GOOD Music. I love GOOD Music. He done made more money off my music than I did.”

Although Pusha T, GOOD Music’s former president, has hanged up his public support of Ye, Big Sean surely hasn’t. In fact, Big Sean stood by Ye’s character while doubling down on the rejection of rumors that he could have professionally betrayed him.

“I had access to a lot of exclusive [things],” he said. “[And it’s] not just him—other people too. I would never leak nobody’s sh*t. So I know he ain’t do that. Whoever started that rumor, y’all on some bullsh*t.”

Better Me Than You is out August 9 via FF to Def Entertainment. Find more information here.

Big Sean’s New Album Leaked By Kanye West Stan After Alleged Diss

Big Sean has really dominated the news cycle over the last 24 hours. The rapper dropped an On the Radar freestyle on July 16, which seemed harmless enough. Then fans started picking apart the bars, and theorizing that Sean could be targeting another rapper. Kendrick Lamar’s name was brought up, then debunked. Then Kanye West was mentioned, after DJHed claimed Sean was targeting a Gemini rapper. The possibility of a West diss proved to be enough to disrupt Big Sean’s entire album rollout.

Only July 17, a user named bigseandon811 posted an album’s worth of new material from Big Sean. Along with the file was a message clarifying why they chose to stomp on the rapper’s rollout. To the surprise of no one, it was Kanye West related. “Since he wanna disrespect Ye so much, here’s the album,” the user wrote. “F*ck him and his whole team.” Other users questioned whether the audio recordings were legit, but bigseandon811 provided some additional information. They clarified that “Precision,” Sean’s lead single, was on the album but not in the leaked files.

Big Sean’s Leaker Claims Ye Gave His Blessing

To further strengthen the case for the leak being real, the user listed some of Big Sean’s features. “This was the album as of couple months ago,” they explained. “Features Nas, Dream, Jhene and some other people.” They even provided an alternative album titled: Better Me Than You. The files and the message was taken down, but not before several fans downloaded the album for themselves. Bigseandon811 also claimed that West was the one who urged him to leak the album. It’s brutal retaliation if true, given that Kanye West was the one who ruined his relationship Big Sean in the first place.

West went on Drink Champs in 2021 and claimed that signing Sean to GOOD Music was the “worst thing” he’s ever done. Big Sean took the criticism in stride, but later told that he was deeply hurt by what West said. “At first, I thought it was hilarious. I thought the sh*t was funny,” he said during his own Drink Champs appearance. “Then I took it [personally].” It got worse from there. He told the hosts that West owed him $6 million, as well as ownership of his masters. The leak, while not orchestrated by Ye himself, is not going to help smooth things over.

Big Sean’s Verse On “Mercy” Is More Impressive Than You Think

Big Sean was already a crossover star when the GOOD Music compilation Cruel Summer dropped in 2012. That being said, the comp’s lead singles bolstered his stardom. He had the opening verses on both “Mercy” and “Clique,” and held his own against the likes of Pusha T, 2 Chainz and JAY-Z. The debate as to who had the best verse on “Mercy” was a recent talking on The Bigger Picture podcast. 2 Chainz was the popular answer, but Big Sean decided to jump in the comment section of the pod and provide some revelatory information.

The rapper claimed that he freestyled his “Mercy” verse before anybody else got on the song. “I did the verse first n everybody wrote theirs after me,” he wrote. “I just freestyled it n then Ye was like ‘thats it!’ N put everybody on after.” Big Sean conceded that 2 Chainz’s verse was more lyrical, but he chalked this up to the advantage of Chainz hearing his verse first. “Chainz put his verse on later,” he claimed. “So he of course had an advantage n made his verse more lyrical [fire emoji].” Apparently, this was standard practice during the Cruel Summer sessions. Sean claimed the same exact thing occurred during the making of “Clique.”

Big Sean Claims He Has The Best Verse On “Mercy”

This is not the first time Big Sean has pushed back against the opinion that 2 Chainz bested him. Chainz claimed that be won the song way back in 2020, and Sean reportedly called him out for it. At least, that’s what he said during an appearance on The Rap Pack podcast. “I immediately called him like, ‘What the f*ck you talkin’ about bro?’,” Sean recalled. Chainz allegedly tried to walk back the comment, but Sean remained steadfast. “He was like, ‘No, no, I wasn’t talking about you, bro. I was talkin’ about the whole game. Obviously everybody on there was going crazy.’ I’m like, ‘That’s not how it seemed.’”

While the exchange sounded tense, Big Sean assured listeners that there was nothing but love between him and 2 Chainz. “That’s my brother,” he explained. “We was just really kinda kidding around.” Whoever had the best verse, both Sean and Chainz benefited from “Mercy.” The single peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was the highest charting single of Chainz’s career, and the second-highest for Big Sean following “Dance (A$$).”

Kacy Hill Reveals How She Escaped Kanye West’s GOOD Music Deal

Kacy Hill is one of several talented artists who were signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music label. She got her start as a backup danger on the Yeezus tour, before inking a deal with West and releasing her debut album Like a Woman in 2017. Hill left GOOD Music in 2019, however, after an elongated waiting period for her second album. It would eventually come out independently. The singer didn’t have much to say about her time on GOOD Music. That is, until a recent performance on her Bug Tour.

Kacy Hill took time out between songs to detail how and why she Kanye West’s label. She said that she tirelessly tried to terminate her contract, but struggled to get in touch with West amidst his busy musical schedule. “At that time, [Kanye] decided he didn’t want to use an email,” she told the audience. “And he also didn’t have an assistant. So I was like, that is so crazy. And so for like six months of my life, and this is a true story, I’m not exaggerating anything. It’s crazier than I could even tell it. For like six months of my life, I went to Sunday Service.”

Kacy Hill Spent Months Tracking Kanye West Down

The singer’s attempts to track West down persisted. She eventually managed to corner him in an office in Calabasas. Despite West’s reputation for being difficult, and the lengthy process of tracking him down, the rapper obliged Kacy Hill’s request. “He was like, ‘OK, what do I need to do?’ And I was like, ‘You can text literally anyone and say that I’m done,’” Hill told the crowd. “And so he did, and he texted someone and said I was done, and I was done.” Things were so comfortable between the two artists that Hill even played some of her second album for West. “I played him some of my second record, and he was like, ‘This is cool. Could you make it a gospel song?’,” she recalled being asked. “And I was like, ‘Sure, like, whatever you want.’”

Hill’s career has flourished since leaving GOOD Music. She’s released two albums to critical acclaim, and feels as though she’s getting progressively better. The singer detailed this process, and how it’s changed since her GOOD Music days, during an interview with Paper Magazine. “When I was making music back then I didn’t know what I was doing,” she noted. “I feel like my music wasn’t great, and I wrote so many songs that were so bad. My first album sounds like the first album of someone who’s just learning. But I feel like with each album, I’m like, ‘Okay, cool.’ I’m learning more, and I’m getting better.”

Kanye West Divulges On Falling Out With Pusha T

Kanye West’s recent interview with Justin LaBoy on his The Download podcast did a whole lot more than add another solider to the Drake coup d’état taking over hip-hop right now. Moreover, it also saw him open up about a lot of industry relationships, past claims and beefs, and what the future might hold. One particularly interesting part was when Ye reflected on his relationship with Pusha T, former G.O.O.D. Music president and frequent collaborator. The two seemed to fall out following Push’s comments on his former partner’s antisemitic and right-wing ties and behavior, but the Yeezy mogul also suggested that they aren’t completely disconnected right now.

“I just spoke with Pusha the other day,” Kanye West remarked. “It was good to talk to him. It was the first time talking to him in a couple months. We made good music together. I thought that somehow because I made beats and made music for somebody that when I couldn’t see my children, these people would use their platform. ‘Cause I used my platform on their behalf. Now I realize no one owes me anything… If you depend on somebody who is not giving you what you need, you’re the one that’s in the wrong.”

Kanye West Details What His Relationship With Pusha T Looks Like Now: Watch

Meanwhile, this is what Pusha T had to say to XXL about Kanye West’s worrisome behavior and affiliations in late 2022, which he expressed in tandem with his departure from G.O.O.D. Music. “It’s beyond that and it’s nothing to tap dance around,” he posited. “It’s wrong. Period. But to me, it’s just me and him having a difference of opinion yet again. ’Cause we done had this for years. He’s not speaking to me now. If you ain’t with it, you ain’t down. And I ain’t with it. I’m not budging on that. I’m not with it.

“I heard about this new stuff,” the Clipse MC shared, possibly alluding to Ye’s appearances on right-wing-adjacent media like InfoWars or Fox News. “I don’t know. It’s something that just sort of tells me he’s not well, at the same time. I will say that. It’s going to places where it’s no way to move around it. Remember, I’m the one that said the MAGA hat is the new Klu Klux Klan hood while he’s making my album. He beefing with Obama. I met Obama. But it’s the same thing with him and the Drake thing. I’m going through this and that, he’s doing shows [with him].” This also follows news of allegedly leaked text messages between them that surfaced online earlier this year, although those are unconfirmed. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Kanye West and Pusha T.
