Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors are the definition of a dynasty. The Warriors have kept their core three members for each championship run. Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green will always be known as Warriors. However, nothing is for certain when it comes to Green’s future with the team. Green and team GM Bob Myers will be free agents this summer. Myers is responsible for helping build the dynasty in Golden State. Both Green and Myers are key members of the Warriors dynasty. Curry recently spoke about how important it would be to retain both this summer.

During Curry’s recent interview with 95.7 The Game’s Steiny & Guru, the Warriors guard believes the formula is still successful. “Obviously, we understand how important Bob is, we understand how important Coach is, our core, Draymond, Klay, myself, Andre, even though he’s had a rough year with injuries and whatnot, he’s been extremely valuable behind the scenes in helping maintain our culture.” Curry isn’t wrong, as the team is fresh off of an NBA Championship run in 2022.

It is hard to imagine seeing Green in another uniform. Steph Curry understands just how important guys like Green and Myers have been to his career. The Warriors dominated a decade and look to be still going strong in the 20s. The thought of breaking up such an incredible era would be hard to swallow. However, nothing lasts forever. Andrew Wiggins Set To Return For Warriors

Andrew Wiggins is set to return to the Golden State lineup. Wiggins has been absent from the team for the last 21 games. The 2022 All-Star will rejoin the team for their matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night. Shams Charania is reporting that Wiggins’s absence has not been from injury. Wiggins has been helping his family care for his father, who has been dealing with a serious medical issue.

Reports were greatly exaggerated a few weeks ago on Wiggins’s absence. Draymond Green angrily shut down rumors that the absence had something to deal with Wiggins’s love life. Rightfully, Green told people not to speculate about the issues that Wiggins may or may not be dealing with. It takes an incredible person to sacrifice their lives to help another. For Wiggins, it was more than likely a no-brainer to assist his father in such a time of need.

Andrew Wiggins Ready To Return To Action

While it’s great that Wiggins is in a place where he can return. It couldn’t have happened at a better time for the Warriors as well. The Warriors have been a fringe team without Wiggins. Adding his offensive game back into the mix is huge for a team desperate for another weapon. The Warriors can safely secure at least the sixth seed with a victory on Tuesday. However, there’s been no word on just how many minutes Wiggins will play Tuesday night, if any. But one thing is for certain, Wiggins getting a chance to play again is a huge positive. Not just for the organization but for his mental health as well.

Steph Curry Doesn’t Hold Back After Ugly Loss

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors didn’t have a great Sunday. The reigning NBA champions were narrowly beaten by the Denver Nuggets 112-110. The Warriors are fighting to stay out of the play-in tournament to start the 2023 playoffs. Curry was visibly upset with the team’s performance during his post-game presser. Last year’s Finals MVP didn’t hold back on his thoughts on how the game went. Needless to say, Curry knows what success in the league looks like. According to Curry, last night wasn’t one of those nights.

“So it’s just a matter of executing, being mindful of what it takes to win that particular game that night, maintain our momentum that we’ve worked hard to create in the first half, but weren’t able to do it,” Curry shared during the post-game. However, Curry did see some things he liked in Sunday’s performance, “Still, the grit and the fight allows us to be one shot away from stealing a game we had no business being in. But we got to come to a realization like if we’re going to win or do anything in a playoff kind of scenario, a game like tonight can’t happen.”

It has been a less-than-ideal 2022-23 campaign for the Warriors. The team has dealt with injuries with Curry. Personal issues have sidelined Andrew Wiggins. All-in-all, the team hasn’t been able to find a grove. However, if this team gets a chance at having everyone together, the possibilities are endless. The Warriors were the greatest dynasty of the 2010s and continue to flex their muscles. A Finals victory over a younger Celtics team last summer proved the Warriors are still dominant.

No one is expecting the Warriors to make a Finals run this season. If anything, most media members believe the Lakers to be the Cinderella of the West. However, counting out the Warriors seems to be a foolish thought. A team with this much chemistry can overcome many obstacles. Kevin Durant Reflects On Time With Warriors

Kevin Durant made shockwaves when joining the Warriors back in 2016. Durant’s addition to the team clearly made them above and beyond everyone. Indeed the Warriors did become an issue for the league. The franchise won back-to-back titles. Unfortunately, a three-peat wasn’t in the cards as Durant and Klay Thompson’s injuries stopped the dynasty. Durant left Golden State after three years. Signing a deal with the Brooklyn Nets while rehabbing his Achilles injury.

Durant’s time with Golden State was short. However, his presence made for one of the more memorable runs for a franchise in NBA history. Although the team wasn’t desperate to add another superstar. The season before Durant joined the Warriors, the team broke the record for most wins in a single season with 73. Also, that same season, the Warriors eliminated Durant’s Thunder from the playoffs. Fans were quick to judge the decision Durant made to join the Warriors.

In a recent interview with The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Durant spoke about his decision to join Golden State. “When it comes to me, people are not going to think in a logical way or simply look at what I’ve done and say that’s it. They gotta add a narrative to it, they gotta push something to discredit me. Once I left to go to the Warriors, it’s been the gymnastics on how to discredit me every step of the way. It’s like, damn, that’s not even fun no more, like, engaging with people because y’all aren’t even being truthful. You move the goalpost every time, you expect the most out of me and if I don’t reach it I’m a failure. It’s like, what’s the problem,” Durant stated to Charania.

The decision was made, and Durant created history with Golden State. Undoubtedly the most dominant team in recent NBA history. If Durant would have decided to stay, there’s no telling how many titles the franchise would have by now. Especially since the team has won one even without Durant. Nick DePaula of ESPN has reported that Curry and Under Armour have reached a long-term agreement that extends well past Curry’s days on the hardwood. DePaula stated that not only did Curry receive the extension, but will serve as president of his own brand. The deal was a no-brainer for both sides, as Curry’s name carries a lot of weight in the marketing department. The extension will see more growth from the Curry brand as time moves on.

“We started with the signature business, and with the opportunity to deepen the partnership, with an expectation of it going past my playing days and the added investment in the great things that we both bring to the table, it’s an exciting time to strengthen that partnership,” Curry stated during his contract extension with the popular brand. Curry is currently in his tenth signature shoe with the company, with plans for many more.

Andrew Wiggins Gets An Update From Steve Kerr

Andrew Wiggins missed his 20th straight game on Tuesday for the Warriors. Before the game, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr discussed his absence. In his interview with the media, Kerr stated, “Once he’s back, our training staff will get with him and see where he is [physically].” The team hopes that he will return before the season’s end. Kerr added that there’d been no discussion of shutting Wiggins down for the season.

The reason Wiggins has been absent from the team has been announced as “personal reasons.” Rumors of what the situation could be have been running wild. As Wiggins’ girlfriend had to shoot down rumors of problems in their relationship. While he may not be with the team, Kerr stated that Wiggins has been working out daily.
