French Montana Leads Morocco World Cup Celebration In New York

Like many of us, French Montana has been watching the World Cup closely. One of the biggest surprises of the tournament has been the Moroccan National Team. Firstly, they were able to win their group which featured Belgium, Croatia, and Canada.

Additionally, they upset Spain in the Round of 16. From there, they defeated Cristiano Ronaldo and the Portuguese in the Quarter-Finals. This was a complete shock to the soccer world as Morocco is the first African nation to make it to the final four. However, French Montana seemingly knew this was their destiny, all along.

French is of Moroccan descent, and he can’t get enough of what his team is accomplishing right now. As it stands, Morocco has only given up one goal all tournament, and it was an own-goal against Canada. Overall, Morocco looks like it has a real chance of winning the tournament, although they need to get past France later this week.

French Montana Celebrates.

For now, however, French Montana is focusing on his team’s latest win. In fact, on Saturday night, French took to the streets of New York and Times Square. While there, he was front and center for a Moroccan celebration. Numerous fans of the team were celebrating every which way, and it was truly incredible to see. You can just tell how much all of this means to the country.

For any country, going far in the World Cup is a huge accomplishment. These tournaments can be insanely unpredictable, and Morocco’s success is further proof of that. However, it is important to note that they have played some impeccable team defense that should be commended and respected by every other team

As it stands, the only teams left are Morocco, France, Argentina, and Croatia. Most fans believe a France Vs. Argentina final is inevitable, although no one can count out the Moroccans.

Let us know who you think will win the tournament, in the comments section down below.

Morocco’s World Cup Victory Has French Montana Ready To Head To Qatar And Support His Home Country

Morrocco were a major long shot to advance into the knockout stage of the World Cup in Qatar. They were placed in a very tough group with FIFA’s No. 2 team in the world, Belgium, perennial World Cup darlings Croatia, and a stout Canadian squad. But the Moroccan team defied all odds in beating Belgium, advancing into a knockout game against 2010 champion Spain and then beating them in a stunner to advance into the quarterfinal. But they didn’t just beat them, they played to a grueling 0-0 draw and then shut them out in a penalty shootout. It was a triumphant moment, one of the best in the World Cup thus far, and Morocco’s most famous hip-hop personality, French Montana, was beyond hyped.

French Montana was born in Casablanca and while he moved to New York City when he was 13, the South Bronx rapper is undoubtedly a Moroccan immigrant success story. So when the match ended in victory for his homeland’s team, Montana seemed to be ready to speed dial his travel agent and head out to Qatar for their quarterfinal match this coming Saturday. “WOWWWWW [Moroccan flag emojis] Moroccan heroes congratulations I guest we flyin to QATAR,” he wrote in an Instagram post along with three slider images of the victorious squad.

If this World Cup is missing anything, it’s rappers sitting courtside… err… pitchside. Here’s hoping we see styled-out French Montana there for Morocco’s match against the winner of the Portugal/Spain match. Given his prolific trend of making music videos for what seems like every song, he might just need to get a +1 for his director, too.

ASAP Rocky Addresses His Short Rolling Loud New York Set: ‘I Am So Hurt Right Now’

A$AP Rocky teased that Rolling Loud in New York City’s Citi Field on Saturday night (September 24) would be “his last show until the album.” Turns out, Rocky’s fans will only have 30 minutes to tide them over. The Harlem-bred rapper expressed disappointment over his short set that saw him bring out Glorilla and French Montana.

“I am so hurt right now!” Rocky wrote in a note posted to Twitter on Sunday afternoon (September 25). “Last night was supposed to be a turning point in my live shows from the old to new! I will take full responsibility for the circumstances of what led to last nights show being everything it was and everything it wasn’t.”

The 33-year-old continued: “I also want to acknowledge that even tho I prepared the best show for my fans, detail for detail , over the course of MONTHS… I was unfortunately not able to bring my vision to fruition and Im hurt about that and I want to apologize to all of my fans and continued supporters, and thank y’all for showing up for me regardless!! A$AP4EVA.”

According to TMZ, Rocky was supposed to begin his set at 8:55 p.m. local time “but didn’t go on until a good 45 minutes later,” and the set was cut short by Rolling Loud organizers “because of a noise ordinance.”

Rocky took the stage with “Grim Freestyle” followed by “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2.” Midway through, he performed “Sights,” his new collaborative single with Playboi Carti, for the first time. Then, Glorilla joined for a rendition of her breakthrough hit “FNF (Let’s Go),” and Rocky closed out the abbreviated set alongside French Montana for “Mopstick.”

Throughout, Rocky spent time between songs calling for fans to “open that b*tch” for mosh pits, which resulted in the meme treatment. Tyler, the Creator went as far as switching his Instagram profile picture to the circulating photo of a struggling Rocky in the subpar pit.

Rocky didn’t have to endure the internet’s wrath for too long, though. Shortly after posting his apology, Rihanna confirmed she is the halftime performer for Super Bowl LVII on February 12, 2023. The couple welcomed their first child earlier this year.
