DJ Envy Fraud Accusations Prompt “The Breakfast Club” To Look For New Co-Host

DJ Envy’s fraud allegations have been a hot topic in hip-hop culture these days, whether among fans, artists, or his media peers. Moreover, it’s been quite the difficult situation to navigate, as his legal trouble is hard to ignore while on-air on a program. In fact, the media personality spoke to his fellow co-hosts on The Breakfast Club about the debacle, even if it was against his attorneys’ advice. It seems like he just wanted to address everything as publicly as possible, defend and clear his name, and be transparent. Unfortunately, if a new job posting is to be believed, the commentator might not get a chance to speak on it again for a while- at least, not as co-host of The Breakfast Club.

Furthermore, iHeartMedia, The Breakfast Club‘s owner, reportedly put up a job listing for a co-host for the program via the Workday platform. Applicants would ideally boast at least three years of on-air radio experience, audio clips from previous on-air interviews, commentary examples, past announcements, and a four-year university degree. In addition, the company would prefer if it was a Communications or Broadcast Journalism degree, and the salary is between $130,000 and $330,000. So, if you think you have a shot, now’s your chance, however unfortunate it may be for DJ Envy. He even hinted at this by appearing for a recent episode via video call rather than in person.

DJ Envy Calls Into The Breakfast Club Amid Fraud Drama

Regardless of the gossip and drama, here’s what the Queens native had to say about these accusations against him. “Let me explain some things,” DJ Envy began, ignoring Charlamagne Tha God’s advice to trust his lawyers and zip up. “Listen, so Cesar and myself did seminars. Now the reason I did these seminars is because I wanted to uplift my community. I wanted to teach my community about real estate. Things that I didn’t know when I was first buying my first home. I wanted to teach our community about investing in generational wealth.

“I do understand how people feel if they gave him money. Because I gave him a lot of money,” he continued. “I didn’t see a dollar of return. For anyone to say that I was involved, that’s totally not true. I would never, I been on radio for close to 30 years, and never in my 30 years time did I do nothing but try to uplift people in different ways with a business mind. I would never take a dollar from somebody.” For more news and updates on DJ Envy and The Breakfast Club, log back into HNHH.

DJ Akademiks Clowns DJ Envy For Alleged Fraud Scheme: “He Can’t Even Read”

DJ Envy’s alleged fraud scheme is getting him into a lot of trouble these days, both with his fellow hip-hop commentators and with the law. Moreover, DJ Akademiks is the latest rap media personality to comment on The Breakfast Club co-host’s supposed involvement in a real estate Ponzi scheme. Not only did his alleged associate Cesar Pena recently fall under police custody, but authorities charged both for fraud-related crimes. No matter how you slice it, clearly things aren’t looking very good for Envy or his assumed business partners in all this. As such, Ak blasted him on Thursday (October 19) and wondered why people would ever trust someone like him- in his opinion- with any amount of cash.

“How do you let DJ Envy affect your financial decisions?” DJ Akademiks remarked. “Half the time I’m listening to The Breakfast Club, these n***as even can’t read what’s on the f***in’ paper. No disrespect to none of those people up there. I really like them. But these n***as can barely read what’s on the f***in’ Rumor Report. You think I’m giving them a million dollars? F**k no, man. You cr*zy as hell.

DJ Akademiks Unleashes On DJ Envy & His Alleged Fraud Victims

“These n***as can’t pronounce s**t, can’t read,” DJ Akademiks continued. “And I’m giving- nah, hell no! You bring some n***a who’s diabetic on here. The n***a got 10X T-Shirts, thinking it’s 2003. The n***a wearing Timbs, and the Timbs look like they’re squealing ‘Help me!’ Like, Jesus Christ! You gave that n***a $800,000?

“It took you 20 years to get it, you gave it to him in 20 minutes?” he concluded. “You might be the dummy! I’m sorry! You might be the dummy. That’s who I’m talking about, a ‘Donkey of the Day.’ I can’t feel too bad for you. Like, come on, bro. I ain’t gonna say I’m beyond getting got. But if you gonna get me, you gonna sound a lot smarter than me.” For more news and the latest updates on DJ Akademiks and DJ Envy, stay logged into HNHH.

“Dr. Pat” Of “The Kardashians” Is In Prison For Defrauding The NBA

Fans were shocked to hear that “Dr. Pat”, the chiropractor who appeared in the latest episode of The Kardashians is actually currently behind bars. Dr. Patrick Khaziran appeared in the show’s most recent episode to meet with Scott Disick and Khloé Kardashian. “When I slipped three discs in my back, Dr. Pat got them back in there. You don’t have to do a surgery. Who wants a surgery?” Kardashian said of Khaziran while seeking treatment for Disick’s lingering pain from a 2022 car crash.

However, Khaziran is currently serving a 30-month sentence in California after being found guilty of medical fraud. Khaziran was involved in a scheme masterminded by ex-NBAer Terrence Williams which involved writing off fake treatments and then being compensated through the NBA alum healthcare plan. The doctor racked up $1.3 million in fraudulent charges and walked away with $439,000. Kharizan had an A-list client roster, including Kevin Hart, Logan Paul, and Diddy.

Williams Gets 10 Years For Fraud Scheme

However, Khazian’s 30-month sentence is nothing compared to what the aforementioned Williams got. The former 11th overall pick received a 10-year sentence for masterminding the plan. “You were yet another player who frittered away substantial earnings from the period of time when you were playing basketball professionally,” Judge Valerie E. Caproni told Williams during sentencing. “You should have had enough money to be set for life, but you don’t.” While many of the former players in the case were journeymen, their career earnings still totaled $343 million. “I one million percent take full accountability for my role in this case,” Williams said, choking up as he blamed the scheme on “stupidity and greed.” However, Judge Caproni was unsympathetic, stating that Williams used his big personality to “lure” friends and family into the scheme.

Furthermore, a 10-year prison sentence is not the only punishment that Williams will face. Williams must forfeit $650,000 in personal wealth as well as pay $2.5 million in restitution. Furthermore, Caprino ordered Williams to participate in a money management course. Williams has been incarcerated since May 2022. Prosecutors alleged that Williams had engaged in witness tampering by sending threatening texts to potential witnesses. During sentencing, Williams said he was “humbled and humiliated” by the proceedings. However, he also blamed his criminal activity on an opioid addiction he reportedly developed from painkiller use to manage pain from lingering injuries. It’s unclear where or when Williams, who resides in Seattle, will serve his time.

DJ Envy’s Fraud Allegations Addressed On “The Breakfast Club”: Watch

DJ Envy has once again found himself at the centre of controversy. Rather than letting the fraud allegations around his work in the real estate industry run rampant, The Breakfast Club host decided to address things on the air this morning (October 11), though not everyone tuning in thought that was such a good idea. “Let me explain some things,” Envy began before noting that his attorneys have specifically asked him not to speak out.

“I think you should listen to your attorneys,” Charlamagne Tha God advised his long-time co-host. “Listen, so Ceasar and myself did seminars,” the 46-year-old began to explain, ignoring his friend’s comment. “Now the reason I did these seminars is because I wanted to uplift my community. I wanted to teach my community about real estate, things that I didn’t know when I was first buying my first home. I wanted to teach our community about investing in generational wealth,” Envy went on to explain. According to the DJ, Ceasar was taking money from people attending these events, which he wasn’t aware of.

DJ Envy Sets the Record Straight on Recent Rumours

“I do understand how people feel if they gave him money because I gave him a lot of money,” the father of two emphasized to Charlamagne. “I didn’t see a dollar of return. For anyone to say that I was involved, that’s totally not true,” Envy doubled down. “I would never, I been on radio for close to 30 years, and never in my 30 years time did I do nothing but try to uplift people in different ways with a business mind. I would never take a dollar from somebody.”

Outside of the eyebrow-raising allegations coming out against DJ Envy at this time, the media personality has also been feuding online with Tyrese. Things have noticeably calmed down in recent weeks, but as summer came to a close, we saw the grown men trading shots on social media constantly. Former 50 Cent Worker Pleads Guilty To Multi-Million Fraud Scheme

50 Cent has scored what many see as yet another legal victory in a career packed full of them. Mitchell Green, a former employee of 50 pleaded guilty to a fraud scheme that spawned from the rapper’s Sire Spirits company. He pleaded guilty to taking $2.2 million in kickbacks from the company. That comes just a few years after a civil court lawsuit where 50 sued Green for his various malpractices which resulted in a $6 million verdict.

50 himself took to Instagram to react, sharing a screenshot of the news story. “Beam Suntory got me into this mess with these people. They are not going to like the out come,” the accompanying caption read. In the comments, fans discussed the endless series of legal wing 50 Cent seems to get. “50 is the real definition of ” my money by Monday,” reads the top comment on the post. “Stop playing with this man and his money. 50 Cent Employee Pleads Guilty To Fraud

Last week, 50 Cent finally got to celebrate a bra being thrown on stage at him. Earlier this summer he complained that he wasn’t getting the same treatment on tour as Drake, who gets dozens of bras thrown on stage almost every night. Clearly at least one fan was listening and came through for 50 at a recent show.

50 has also recently reignited some of his long running beefs. He and Ja Rule have gone back and forth at each other recently with 50 aiming at a performance where Ja depicted himself as Jesus and Ja clapping back about 50’s mic throw incident last month. Ja wasn’t the only one to bring up the mic throw either as The Game made a similar post. What do you think of one of 50 Cent’s former employees pleading guilty to a $2 million fraud scheme? Let us know in the comment section below.

DJ Envy Hits Tony Robinson With Defamation Suit

DJ Envy has filed a defamation suit against Tony Robinson in relation to Envy’s many real estate lawsuits. Robinson is a former college football player who played one game as a scab for the then-Washington Redskins during the 1987 NFL Player’s Strike. Per The Shade Room, Envy has accused Robinson of “publicly and maliciously spread false claims” about him on social media. According to the suit, Robinson has claimed that Envy is a “thief”, a “scammer”, and running a “Ponzi scheme”.

Per the suit, Envy accuses Robinson of illegally recording a phone conversation in which the one-time quarterback attempts to get Envy to admit to his alleged wrongdoing. Envy is seeking an unspecified amount of punitive damages in the case. This is all in relation to an alleged real estate scam that Envy has been accused of. Anthony Barone and Anthony Martini claim that Envy and two others defrauded them out of $1.5 million in investment for an apartment complex that never came to be. The two men claim they invested in two real estate companies associated with Envy, who never followed through on the project.

However, those are just some of the claims that have been made against Envy. He is also accused of utilizing investments to buy properties in New Jersey. He is accused of later undervaluing these properties before flipping them or renting them out. The Breakfast Club host has denied these allegations and filed a motion to dismiss the suit with prejudice. Furthermore, Envy has claimed that he is also a victim of fraud. He claims to have lost $500,000 in a separate project with his accused partners. The trio of Envy and Cesar and Jennifer Pinas were reportedly working to renovate a school into an apartment complex.

The trio is due back in court on September 8 in order to try and seek a solution. Meanwhile, Robinson appears confidant about the defamation. Speaking in the comments of The Shade Room post, Robinson accepted Envy’s challenge. “Let’s get to it,” Robinson wrote. “Raashaun has 8-10 new lawsuits people making claims on fraud this too easy!.” However, this is a developing story and we’ll have any updates here at HotNewHipHop.

Terrence Williams Receives 10-Year Prison Sentence For NBA Fraud Scheme

Terrence Williams, the 11th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for “masterminding” a plan to defraud the NBA’s Health and Welfare Benefit Plan. Williams, who played for the Nets, Rockets, Kings, and Celtics, used fraudulent medical invoices to claim money from the program designed to provide health benefits to current and former NBA players. Williams is one of 18 former players charged in the case. 13 have pled guilty, with Williams the first to be given a penal sentence.

It’s unclear where or when Williams, who resides in Seattle, will serve his time. Williams has six children, two of whom are above the age of 18. He said that he regretted that his prison sentence will separate him from his family. However, Judge Capriano said his behavior was “extortionate and aggressive” while his motivation “was greed.”

DJ Envy Denies Involvement In Real Estate Fraud Scheme, Wants Lawsuit Dismissed

DJ Envy’s lawsuit for alleged real estate fraud is completely incorrect, he claimed in court documents obtained by The Shade Room. In fact, the radio host maintained that he did not involve himself in the scam at hand, and filed a motion to dismiss the legal action on Wednesday (August 2). Moreover, he denied involvement in the teams that stand accused of carrying it out and believes his name popped up due to sheer association to further publicize the case, given his status as a public figure. What’s more is that even his codefendant, Cesar Pina, backed this story up in defense of Envy.

For those unaware, plaintiffs Anthony Martini and Anthony Barone sued DJ Envy, Pina, and the latter’s wife Jennifer last month for allegedly keeping over $2 million in investments from them. Furthermore, these went into two real estate projects: the Taylor Company and Flip 2 Dao, and Martini and Barone believe they never followed up on these ventures. Instead, they claim that defendants used the money selfishly or to compensate other investors. All actors will return to court September 8 as of writing this article to further develop their cases.

DJ Envy Wants To Dismiss Real Estate Fraud Lawsuit

However, the new motion claims that DJ Envy was never a part of Flip 2 Dao or the Taylor Company in any capacity. To elaborate, Pina stated that he, his wife, and Barone are the only people involved with Flip 2 Dao, and the Breakfast Club co-host claims that the only relevant point of contact he had with Barone was when the latter asked him about the Pinas and his investments. Envy’s side of the story alleges that Barone wanted more information on them, but he wasn’t involved in the project and therefore couldn’t provide it. In addition, the new motion also claims that Flip 2 Dao might’ve included Envy’s name in a flip deck without his knowledge or consent.

In addition, the media figure says he put up $500,000 as investment in a school-to-apartments renovation project with the Pinas that hasn’t yielded any return of capital or or distributions. According to Envy, the Pinas promised to pay monthly dividends of $17,000 and return his initial investment within a year. As such, he might be a victim of more than just trolling due to his fraud allegations. On that note, stick around on HNHH for more news and the latest updates on DJ Envy.

Fyre Festival 2 Has Officially Been Announced

Billy McFarland was convicted and jailed for fraud after the Fyre Festival debacle in 2017. The situation became quite the meme and provided months of entertainment for onlookers. However, it was likely a traumatic experience for those that attended. The pictures from the disaster were both hilarious and sad, featuring dilapidated campsites and horrific living conditions. However, four years in federal prison weren’t enough to make McFarland give up on the dream. Today, he made two big Fyre Festival announcements on his social media.

Firstly, he revealed plans for a Broadway musical titled FYRE Festival 1.5. The target audience for said musical is unclear. Additionally, he mentioned discussions with partners to repay his restitution and organize a second edition of FYRE Festival. He plans to adhere to the original vision of a destination festival in a picturesque location. McFarland expressed his intention to address unpaid debts to local vendors in the Bahamas promptly. He also emphasized the involvement of experienced music partners to handle logistics such as toilets, bathrooms, and food. So, at least this time around, anyone stranded will at least be able to eat and use the bathroom.

Can Fyre Festival Really Succeed?

In an interview with YouTuber Adam Glyn, McFarland further explained his vision for the upcoming Fyre projects. He told the YouTuber that he was prioritizing the immediate payment of owed money to Bahamian vendors. The 2017 Fyre Festival was initially marketed as a luxurious music festival. However, it infamously spiraled into chaos due to numerous issues. The event was marred by travel delays, lost luggage, insufficient food, and substandard living conditions. Attendees were rightfully dismayed at the state of things. While it became popular to laugh at the situation, it really was a scam of epic proportions. That is likely why Ja Rule, who was involved with the first iteration, has distanced himself from the project.

The FYRE Festival has already been extensively documented through documentaries released by Netflix and Hulu. McFarland had also announced plans to write a book about the event while in prison. Its release is still unannounced. In 2018, McFarland pled guilty to defrauding investors of more than $27 million. He served a four-year prison sentence before being released in 2022. Hopefully, the same will not happen with Fyre Festival 2.
