Recently, Drake took to social media to share his love for the song featured at the end of his For All The Dogs track, “Polar Opposites.” The Canadian hitmaker made the “demand” that Yebba release the full version of the dreamy song. Luckily for him, she came through shortly after. “Drake said it so we must,” she captioned her IG Story. Her post included the full version of the track, which she’s titled “Waterfall.”
For All The Dogs isn’t the first time the duo teamed up, however. Back in 2021, they joined forces for a track on Drake’s album Certified Lover Boy, “Yebba’s Heartbreak.” At the time of writing, “Waterfall” isn’t available to purchase or stream anywhere, but fans hope that an official release could be coming soon.
Though Drake was sure to show his appreciation for Yebba’s contribution to For All The Dogs, it looks like he left one artist out. Rapper and singer Rye Rye took to Twitter shortly after the album dropped, alleging that he used her vocals on the track “Calling For You” featuring 21 S*vage without crediting her. According to her, this isn’t the first time this has happened either. “REALLY @Drake MY VOCALS AGAIN?” she began.
“& NO CREDIT? I really wanna be flattered but I feel like it’s trolling ATP OMG,” Rye Rye explained. “One of my fave artists doing this I don’t know how to feel anymore. But thank you for reminding me that my 15 year old vocals are still legendary. This is not funny this sent me into a deep depression and made me angry inside the first time. Now I gotta relive this again after I was semi trying to push through. WTF I wanna be happy but like how.” Share your thoughts in the comments section down below, and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake.
Since Drake dropped For All The Dogs last week he’s been the talk of the rap world. For many that’s been in praise of the album and its various high-profile features. Drizzy has never been a critical darling but critics are more fond of Dogs than they were of albums like Certified Lover Boy and Scorpion. But as you might expect the Drake haters out there have also gotten their words out. Even some fellow celebs have called the album out which led to more than one beef.
But while fans were observing what happened with For All The Dogs some remembered one series of lyrics in particular that seemed to predict all this. In 2020 Eminem released his most recent album Music To Be Murdered By. Later that year he followed it up with a B-side project, which is where the song in question lies. It’s called “Zeus” and it contains what could be interpreted as a warning for Drake. “And Drake, they’re gonna turn on you (You) one day too (Too), And the more you win, the sooner (Sooner) they do, They’ll be calling you a trash bin, Sayin’ that your new one isn’t better than your last” lyrics on the song’s third verse read. Check out fans discussing the post below.
In the comments of the post, fans agree with Eminem. “We need to talk about hip-hop culture and why we treat our legends this way,” one of the top comments reads. Others agree, while commenting on Drake directly. “This Drake project is a classic, and people turned on Eminem because he continued to get wacker instead of better,” another comment reads.
Eminem clearly loves hip-hop and is paying attention to lots of new music. Just a few week ago Lil Wayne dropped and new song with Tyga and YG, and Em was a fan. In particular, he took to Twitter to point out some particular lyrics he enjoyed. What do you think of Eminem’s prediction about the future of Drake’s career? Let us know in the comment section below.
Drake is fresh off of the release of his new album, For All The Dogs. Overall, this has proven to be one of the more polarizing releases in his discography. Some say this is one of his best in years. However, there are others who say this is his worst album, period. In fact, the album is his lowest rated on Metacritic. Metacritic features aggregate scores from a plethora of different reviewers. Needless to say, it isn’t just the fans who are saying this album is “weak.”
Regardless of the critical reception, this is a project that will sell plenty of units. Drizzy is on track to sell 420K first week, which will put him at number one. In fact, he will likely be at number one for a very long time. At the end of the day, Drake has always been a beast when it comes to sales. Even at this stage in his career, he can pretty well outsell anyone. The only person this might not be true against is Taylor Swift. That said, with the album out on streaming services, he is feeling quite poetic.
In the Instagram post above, Drake could be seen in some nice clothes while taking a stroll through a garden of purple flowers. Overall, it was quite the scene and we’re sure the megastar felt serene amidst the foliage. In his Instagram post, he included a poetic caption. “Already beat the odds…getting even is clearly what I’m focused on,” he said. Overall, Drizzy has been feeling the poetics as of late. He even released a poetry book that has been received with mixed reviews.

In the world of hip-hop and extravagance, there are few artists who know how to make an impression like the rising star known as Sexyy Red. Recently, the young rapper, known for her lavish lifestyle and infectious tracks, was spotted indulging in a peculiar yet headline-worthy activity: enjoying Popeyes on a private jet. Sexyy Red has gained fame and notoriety for her personality and ability to be herself. She’s is celebrated for her unapologetic and fearless approach to life. As one of the biggest breakout artists of 2023, Sexyy Red has all eyes on her. From her hilarious viral videos to photo op moments that just about everyone in the rap scene wants, Sexyy Red is definitely always having a moment. These moments extends to every aspect of her existence, even her choice of in-flight cuisine.
Popeyes, the beloved fast-food chain famous for its crispy fried chicken and delectable biscuits, is a favorite of many. However, enjoying this indulgence on a private jet is a whole new level of extravagance. The rapper showcased herself eating the meal aboard a private jet. This revelation proves that not only is she living the lavish life of a successful rapper, but she’s authentic to her roots. While some might find this choice unconventional, it’s a testament to Sexyy Red’s refusal to conform to societal norms. For her, there’s no boundary when it comes to living life to the fullest.
Sexyy Red’s jet-setting lifestyle is a dual part of her brand. It embodies her commitment to breaking the mold and defying expectations, making her a magnetic figure in the hip-hop industry. And she’s definitely enjoying the finer things in life! Sexyy Red recently made an appearance on Drake’s new album For All The Dogs.
However, she’s not letting fame get too much into her head. Her eating Popeyes on the flight highlights her down-to-earth nature. It’s a reminder that even in the world of glitz and glamour, one can find moments of simplicity and authenticity in simple fast food choices. In other news, her song “SkeeYee” has been steadily climbing the Hot 100 chart for more than a month now. In the wake of her successful debut album, she released a fresh single, “Shake Yo Dreads,” just last month, and it’s already gaining significant traction on its own. What are your thoughts on Sexyy Red eating Popeyes on the jet? Let us know on HNHH below.
Drake has undergone a few transformations throughout his career but since 2018, it’s largely just been different hairstyles. Albums like Certified Lover Boy didn’t necessarily offer anything new from Drake, despite the amount of anticipation. What we didn’t expect from him, though, was that he’d be working like a racehorse in the subsequent years. He made a hard left turn on Honestly, Nevermind in a career defined by pop-adjacent hip-hop & R&B records. Meanwhile, Her Loss provided a new pocket that he mildly explored through snippets and efforts like Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
Eight months after the release of Her Loss, Drake released his very first poetry book titled Titles Ruin Everything, where he announced For All The Dogs. “They say they miss the old Drake, girl don’t tempt me. For all the dogs,” he declared. His poetry book seemingly continued the thematic statement he established on Certified Lover Boy, which he described as “a combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking.” It’s a 180 from Drake’s early career when he often earned reverence among feminist audiences for trying to speak to their emotions rather than commodify their bodies. But, in the same year that Future leaned into his toxic ways on I NEVER LIKED YOU, Drake seemingly took note. For Future, it was embracing a character that the Internet made him out to be, but for Drake, it stems from emptiness.
Across For All The Dogs, Drake basks in the money, the fame, and the glory as he always does, but his ability to speak candidly about relationships has evidently dissipated. He’s not falling in or out of love but rather trying to fill a void in his life that money or respect can’t necessarily buy him. Relationships and former love that once brought him a sense of purpose have been reduced to Birkin bag handouts and sugar daddy tendencies, which, in all fairness, he and Future established on “I’M ON ONE.”
That said, For All The Dogs feels like a moment in Drake’s career where he’s at a crossroads. His own fame has compromised the things that he once strived for in his personal life, and he’s evidently grappling with this reality. And at some points, it almost sounds like desperation. “Drew A Picasso” brings Drake’s stream-of-conscious writing to a moody midnight-esque soundscape intended for deep thoughts and late-night drives as he reflects on a woman who doesn’t necessarily value the social status and wealth that Drake could provide. It all comes together when he croons, “I can’t picture you with him/ That’s just so embarrassin’, I want to die.” It’s a close callback to the old Drake, the underdog whose glow-up inspired a generation of men to try and stunt on the women who once wrote them off in high school.
The problem is that it feels as though Drake hasn’t moved on, which is especially true on songs like “Fear Of Heights.” Contrastingly, “Fear Of Heights” comes through with the rugged and aggressive tone that has made Drake’s rap records feel riveting as of late. However, the perceived shots at Rihanna and ASAP Rocky feel too petty for a man who admittedly “had badder b*tches than you.” To make matters worse, he seemingly continues to address Pusha T five years after the masses declared the former G.O.O.D Music president the winner of their lyrical bout.
The moments where Drake seems to be looking ahead largely rely on the excellent list of collaborators he brought on board. It’s no secret that SZA stands as the current reigning queen of R&B. While “Slime You Out” failed to achieve the cultural impact that you’d expect from a song with both artists, they make up for it on the Sexyy Red-assisted “Rich Baby Daddy.” It’s Drake’s latest take on the resurgence of regional club music, laced with a diaphanous vocal sample, fierce synths, and an infectious hook, courtesy of the “Pound Town” hitmaker. Even still, the song devolves into heartbreak with Drake bellyaching over missed connections.
Then, there are artists like Yeat, who’ve become paramount figures of the new generation of rap, thanks to his warbling vocals and high-octane production. Yeat’s influence on Drake isn’t new, especially considering BNYX’s general rapport with Drake. And while BNYX’s hand on “Search & Rescue” transformed the song into a hit, it’s clear that Drake’s verbose bars can’t hang with Yeat’s vibes. Still, “IDGAF” remains one of the most exciting records on the tracklist.
Still, even with refreshing voices like Teezo Touchdown, Lil Yachty, or Chief Keef on the tracklist, there aren’t many rappers who seem to inspire Drake’s pen. “8 AM In Charlotte” felt misleading in its release ahead of the album. When “Slime You Out” failed to maintain a Top 10 spot on the Hot 100, “8 AM” felt like Drake was about to give us bars on For All The Dogs. Unfortunately, much like the majority of Drake’s catalog since 2015, it feels like he isn’t genuinely interested in standing among the game’s top lyricists but rather reminding people that he can rap every once in a while.
Still, J. Cole evidently put a battery in Drake’s back on “First Person Shooter.” With an all-star roster of producers attached to the song – Vinylz, Boi-1da, Tay Keith, FnZ, Oz, and Coleman – Drake and J Cole emerge over triumphant production with boastful bars and the braggadocious rights that they once worked towards when collaborating on songs like “In The Morning” or “Jodeci Freestyle.” It’s a celebratory anthem that feels as monumental as the weight of the names they carry.
Drake’s biggest issue of his career is that he’s too versatile. Noah “40” Shebib once explained that his musical counterpart has a wide demographic he tries to cater to on each album. Perhaps that’s the biggest issue with Drake’s catalog these past few years. He’s been throwing paint at a wall through bloated tracklists, knowing that at least something will stick without trying to establish definitive bodies of work in his catalog.
Besides Honestly, Nevermind, Drake hasn’t committed to one sound that he could expound on further. Ultimately, that’s the biggest downfall of For All The Dogs. He doesn’t differentiate between welcoming the next generation of stars as an OG or trying to stand next to them as peers. There are moments that emphasize why the “Old Drake” resonates with his audience. Still, even so, he’s at an intersection in his career that fails to distinguish how For All The Dogs is any different than his previous bodies of work, nor does it look beyond the instant gratification of Billboard records and social media chatter. With his pending hiatus, For All The Dogs should close out a long-winded chapter in his career—one that turned him into a generational star who can be mentioned in the same breath as Michael Jackson, if only for the accolades and chart success.
Drake recently dropped his new album, For All The Dogs, and it appears to be doing quite well — according to early chart predictions. Hits Daily Double has projected that it has moved between 400,000 to 450,000 album units in its first week. This would likely mark the fourth biggest debut this year.
Still, it is enough for Drake to secure another likely No. 1 album on the Billboard 200. Fans will also be excited to hear that the Canadian rapper could take over both charts, as his song “First Person Shooter” featuring J. Cole is rumored to be taking the top spot on the next Hot 100.
This Hot 100 No. 1 placement is important, as it would earn Drake his thirteenth hit on the chart. He would then be tied with Michael Jackson for the most No. 1’s by a male solo artist. (Drake will likely surpass Jackson’s record during his lifetime.)
However, during a recent episode of SiriusXM’s Table For One, Drake might be taking a little bit to do so — as he mentioned wanting to take a break due to stomach problems. “I’ll probably not going to make music for a little bit, I’mma be real with you,” he said. “I need to focus on my health, first and foremost.”
At least for now, fans can enjoy For All The Dogs.
Drake has just released his new album For All The Dogs, and as you can imagine, the album is a bit polarizing. Overall, every album from a big artist is going to be scrutinized. After all, people want the best from their favorite artists. When Kendrick Lamar took a five-year hiatus, many felt disappointed by Mr. Morale. However, a lot of those sentiments have slowly faded, and fans see that album as yet another classic in Lamar’s discography. As for the Canadian megastar, however, the reception has been much harsher.
Throughout the last few days, people like Joe Budden have come out to criticize the project. Moreover, many reviewers have been taking to their respective platforms to give their opinion. So far, most of these reviews have been negative, or simply indifferent. It has been a trend with Drake’s last few projects. However, as far as For All The Dogs is concerned, it is more pronounced than ever. When you look at the aggregate scores for this project, it seems like this is the worst critical reception of his career.
If you go on Metacritic right now and look up the album, you will see a reviewer aggregate score of 52/100. Overall, this is the lowest score he has ever gotten. Previously, his lowest score was on Certified Lover Boy which was ranked 60 out of 100. His best-ranked album on the platform is actually So Far Gone which has a rating of 81/100. It remains to be seen if the artist will ever get back to “critical darling” status.

Drake’s new album For All The Dogs came out over the weekend and it’s been thoroughly dissected by listeners since then. The album is expected to debut at number one on the Billboard 200 this week with over 4 times more than its closest competition. Consequently iIf the projected sales figures hold the album will be the 4th highest debuting project of 2023. It only trails Morgan Wallen’s One Thing At A Time, Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), and narrowly behind Travis Scott’s UTOPIA.
Drake is also expected to dominate the Hot 100 with his new album. He’s expected to have much of the top 20 and almost the entire top 10 all to himself. Additionally, two different tracks from the project “First Person Shooter” with J. Cole, and “IDGAF” with Yeat are currently competing to debut at the top spot on the Hot 100. Consequently that monumental commercial success translated to an impressive uptick in Spotify listeners as well. Drizzy became the first rapper ever to hit 80 million monthly listeners on the platform. He currently sits as the third most-listened-to artist in the world behind only Taylor Swift and The Weeknd.
Joe Budden had a reaction to For All The Dogs that Drake didn’t take kindly to and as a result, they started a beef. Subsequently, Drizzy clapped back at Budden for failing as a rapper and switching to other mediums in an Instagram post over the weekend. An impressive amount of fellow celebrities have come to his defense. Kai Cenat, Stephen A Smith, and even Budden’s former co-host Mal came down on the rapper’s side.
One person who didn’t hold back their Drake criticism was Azealia Banks. The rapper took a pretty unflinching approach to her clap back. She told Drizzy he didn’t have the right to critique anyone on rap success. What do you think of Drake being the first rapper to hit 80 million monthly listeners on Spotify? Let us know in the comment section below.
Charlamagne Tha God came to Drake’s defense during the latest episode of The Breakfast Club amid backlash to his new album, For All The Dogs. Charlamagne says the project is on the same level as all of Drake’s other work in recent years, leaving him confused as to the negative response.
“I do think the criticism is slightly unfair though because this is the same Drake music that he’s been putting out for at least the last five, six years” he began. “What’s the difference between this album and the album with 21 that he dropped last year.” From there, DJ Envy argued that it’s a difference of opinion by generations with younger fans liking the project.
Afterward, Charlamagne continued: “By the way, he’s not going through anything that no artist of his stature has not gone through. Not even an artist of his stature, anybody who’s been in the position that he’s been in consistently winning for so long, there’s always a point in time where people get tired of seeing you win. So they take any opportunity because this album is not as bad as y’all making it out to be.”
Perhaps the most vocal voice to criticize Drake’s newest album is Joe Budden. After Budden accused him of “rapping for the children,” Drake fired back in a fiery Instagram post calling him a failed rapper. He wrote: “@joebudden you have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success… a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…”
Joe Budden and Drake are currently in the midst of a feud. Overall, this feud began because of Budden’s criticisms surrounding For All The Dogs. He was very honest about how he felt in regard to the album. Unfortunately, Drake did not want to hear these criticisms, at all. Instead, he decided to launch an attack on Budden, where he effectively called him “irrelevant.” He also argued that Budden failed at rapping, which is ironic given just how much Drake was inspired by the man.
Recently, TMZ spoke with Budden’s former Slaughterhouse bandmate, KXNG Crooked. During the interview, the rapper sided with Joe and noted that it felt like Drake also took a shot at him. “I feel like [Drake] threw me a stray, I caught a stray,” KXNG Crooked noted. “Because I love talking about Hip-Hop. I think it’s a dope, natural progression and evolution of an MC’s career to jump behind the microphone and start speaking about the game as a commentator.”
Crooked also went on to say that Drake’s response is proof that he took what Joe said to heart. At the end of the day, if Joe was truly irrelevant or a “failed rapper,” he would never levied such a harsh response. “Skills matter, respect from your peers matters, because if they didn’t, Drake wouldn’t have answered Joe Budden. If those things did not matter, [Drake] wouldn’t have [responded] because he has everything else… Him just responding to Joe just gives Joe the power that Joe probably wanted,” the rapper articulated.
The Joe Budden and Drake beef is pretty well over at this point. While Joe may speak on it through his podcast, it seems like Drizzy has moved on. Let us know whose side you are on in all of this, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the music world.
