The New England Patriots are the latest team to announce they will not pursue Lamar Jackson. Since Jackson tweeted his displeasure with the Ravens, many teams have been asked about the former MVP joining their roster. No team has publicly stated their pursuit of Jackson, and if you ask the Ravens, they’re not interested in listening. Ravens head coach John Harbaugh hopes Jackson will be his quarterback this Fall. However, Jackson seems to be looking for greener pastures.

On paper, the Patriots seem like an obvious choice for a landing spot for Jackson. With Mac Jones not meeting expectations and Billy Zappe being unproven, Jackson would instantly be the starter in New England. Even rapper Meek Mill reached out to Patriots owner Robert Kraft to discuss Jackson in New England. However, the price for Jackson may be too steep for a team who isn’t ready to cut ties with their QB, said Jeff Howe of The Athletic.

Lamar Jackson Wants Out Of Baltimore

In a string of Tweets on Monday, Jackson publically announced the worst secret in sports. The Ravens QB admitted that he requested a trade on March 2nd. Furthermore, Jackson stated the Ravens have shown no interest in his request. Jackson is of the belief that the franchise doesn’t value him as a player. A trade for Jackson would potentially be a heavy return for the Ravens. The only problem is no one seems to be taking the bait. Which is strange for a former MVP of the league.

Jackson had injury issues even as recently as last season. The former Pro Bowl QB has only played 12 games in each of his last two seasons. NFL Now Allowing Players To Wear The Number Zero

The NFL is now allowing players to become a hero in zero. A move by the league that allows the freedom of players to be any number they want to be. In a move that might not seem like a big deal, actually is too many fans. As the league attempts to shed the stigma of being the “No Fun League.” This is a great first step in expanding the creativity of the NFL brand and creating off-season buzz.

The owners of the NFL voted on the decision to make number zero an option for players during the League Meetings. The decision was made on Tuesday in Phoenix, as owners and coaches got together for picture day and to decide on things like wearing the number zero. One player has already taken the league up on the freedom of choosing the number.

The NFL’s First Zero Hero

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley was the first to announce his intention to wear number zero in the upcoming season. The former Alabama star is already flashing his new look in his Jaguars threads. Ridley will be making his debut with the Jaguars this season after being traded from the Falcons last season. The Jaguars receiver was suspended all of last season after it was discovered that he was betting on games. A player who is looking for a fresh start is the first player to rock with a zero.

Overall, the NFL is the largest entity in North American sports and it is not even close. However, the league has had a difficult time gaining fan positivity when it comes to the inclusiveness of the brand. An issue has always been not allowing players to express themselves with what they can wear on the field. Lamar Jackson Responds To Questions About His Character

Lamar Jackson is currently the biggest story in the entire NFL. Overall, this isn’t exactly for the right reasons. There has been a lot of chatter when it comes to his situation with the Baltimore Ravens. Although he is a former MVP, the team does not want to pay him what you would imagine is a fair salary. Moreover, Jackson recently came out and announced that he had requested a trade earlier in the month. This is a whirlwind time for himself and the Ravens which is likely to end in a not-so-productive manner.

Additionally, there are now some people out there who are trying to say that Jackson has a bad attitude. His character is being questioned, and it’s not exactly fair. Just like any other player, he is trying to get the best deal possible. Based on his play, it is clear that he deserves it. However, the Ravens are messing about in a way that is making it difficult for Jackson to trust them again. While taking to Twitter yesterday, Jackson defended himself from some of the chatter. Simply put, his goal has always been to win a Super Bowl.

I rather have a 100% PCL than go out there and play horrible forcing myself to put my guys in a bad situation now that’s selfish to me.”

Jackson is certainly correct here. That said, his injury history has proven to be detrimental to his contract hopes. Aaron Hernandez’s Brother DJ Reportedly Engaged In Police Chase Prior To ESPN Incident

Yesterday, we reported that the brother of Aaron Hernandez, DJ Hernandez, was arrested in connection with an incident that took place at the ESPN campus in Connecticut. Overall, it was a very sad story as it is clear that it was connected to the DJ’s brother. Hernandez threw a brick onto the ESPN campus with a message about media coverage. It seemed as though DJ was upset with how his brother was portrayed. Moreover, he urged ESPN to change its ways, which made the whole thing feel a bit like a threat.

At the time of the incident, Hernandez was arrested and told to never come back to ESPN. Furthermore, he was hit with a misdemeanor breach of peace charge. It was also reported by TMZ that the police were called to do a welfare check on DJ. That’s when they discovered that he was on his way to ESPN where he eventually committed the aforementioned crime. However, that is not the only time the brother of Aaron Hernandez has found himself at odds with the law.

Per TMZ, DJ Hernandez was in a police chase back on March 8th. Authorities claim that Hernandez was in the midst of a Bipolar episode and was trying to escape living with his mother. It was quite the scene as DJ sped through red lights and even drove on the grass. His mother acknowledged to police that he had been acting in a bizarre manner and probably needed to get help. Thankfully, police were finally able to arrest Hernandez. Subsequently, he was sent to the hospital prior to being hit with numerous criminal charges.

Magic Johnson Part Of Group Seeking To Buy Commanders For Record-Breaking Price

Magic Johnson is someone with incredible business acumen. Overall, he has made a whole lot of money throughout his career. However, most of it has come off of the court. In fact, Johnson was able to purchase a stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers a few years ago. When he did that, Johnson made it very clear that he is interested in sports ownership opportunities. Subsequently, there have been all sorts of rumblings about him potentially wanting to own a bit of an NFL team.

Last year, there was a solid opportunity with the Denver Broncos. However, Magic Johnson missed the boat as another group ended up with the team. At the time, the team sold for a whopping $4.65 billion which was an NFL record. Now, the Washington Commanders are for sale as Dan Snyder is jumping ship. There is a ton of interest in this team, and according to TMZ he has joined a massive group that is looking to buy the team. The group includes Sixers owner Josh Harris, as well as Mitchell Rales who is a billionaire. As it turns out, the group just put in a $6 billion bid for the Commanders.

This would be the largest sale in the history of the National Football League. However, Johnson, Harris, and Rales will all have some competition. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, a Canadian billionaire by the name of Steve Apostolopoulos also put in a $6 billion bid. No matter what, it looks like Snyder is in for a massive payday. Whether or not it is deserved, is up to the Commanders fans to decide.

It would be amazing to have Johnson in the NFL as an owner. However, it will ultimately be up to Snyder as to which group he wants to go with. Meek Mill Is Trying To Get Lamar Jackson On The Patriots

Meek Mill and Robert Kraft have been good friends for quite some time now. Kraft is the owner of the New England Patriots, and he has shown a great interest in prison and justice reform. Aaron Hernandez: Brother Arrested After Throwing Brick At ESPN Campus

Aaron Hernandez is one of the most infamous former NFL players ever. As everyone knows by now, he was convicted of murder back in the early 2010s. Overall, he was a phenomenal wide receiver. However, his off-court crimes completely derailed his career. Now, he is the subject of books, documentaries, and various other forms of media. Many are fascinated with him and the circumstances surrounding his death. Consequently, this has led to emotional strife for his family.

For instance, his brother Dennis Hernandez has been going by the name “DJ” so as to not bring attention to who he or his brother is. Unfortunately, DJ has been going through some issues of his own as of late. According to TMZ, he recently found himself at the ESPN campus in Connecticut, where he threw a brick. As per the report, this took place in the afternoon of March 23rd. Police were asked to do a welfare check on DJ where it was then relayed that he had shown up at the ESPN premises.

Subsequently, the police found DJ and hit him with a misdemeanor breach of peace charge. Since then, he has been released and will have to go to court next month. As for the brick he threw, it just so happens that he also attached a message. “To all media outlets, it’s about time you all realeyes the affect media has on all family members. Since you’re a world wide leader maybe you could lead how media and messages are delivered brick by brick. Clean it up!” he wrote. Overall, it was quite an ominous message that showcases just how devastating the media coverage of Aaron Hernandez’s case was for his family.

Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the best wide receivers on the market. However, he has gone through some pretty significant injuries over the years. Overall, this has made it hard for some teams to sign him. OBJ believes he should be paid like a top-tier talent. Tom Brady has been going through it as of late in the aftermath of his divorce from Gisele Bundchen. The two had been together for over two decades, and they had multiple children together. According to Page Six, Tom Brady seemingly had a response to Gisele’s interview. While taking to his Instagram story, he posted a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson. The quote is about what success truly is. What makes this quote so interesting, however, is the reference to “False Friends.” “What is success? To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends,” the quote reads.

Ultimately, no one truly knows what Brady was trying to say here. He has been fairly cryptic on social media as of late, which is a common theme among divorced men. Either way, he is Tom Brady which means he can do whatever he wants. He should just go out and enjoy being single. Based on Gisele’s trips to Costa Rica, it’s clear that that’s what she is doing.
