Bijan Robinson Continues To See Draft Stock Rise

There’s an unwritten rule in the NFL Draft – don’t draft a running back in the first round. This came about for a few different reasons. Firstly, there was the move towards the passing game as well as the evolution of the modern “dual threat” quarterback. Why burn a first-round pick on a running back when you can take a Lamar Jackson? Secondly, with a plethora of strong collegiate running talent, teams can wait on running back and still pick up an elite player. Dalvin Cook, Miles Sanders, and Jonathan Taylor were all second-round picks.

In the last five drafts, there have been seven first-round running back selections. All but one (Saquon Barkley) were made at the 20th pick or later. They have combined for five Pro Bowls and three Super Bowl rings (one for Clyde Edwards-Helaire, two for Sony Michel). However, there is a prospect in the 2023 NFL Draft who might be about obliterate the league’s under-appreciation for the running back position.

Bijan Robinson Is A Blue Chip Running Back

Let’s talk numbers first and foremost. Robinson rushed for 3410 yards and 33 touchdowns in three seasons and 31 games at Texas. He also added 805 receiving yards and 8 receiving touchdowns during his career. That gives him a college career average yards from scrimmage of 7.0. His best trait is his elusiveness, possessing an uncanny ability to disappear under a mass of defenders and appear 40 yards upfield seconds later. By comparison, Saquon Barkley had rushed for 3843 yards and 43 touchdowns in his three seasons at Penn State. Bijan showed out at the NFL Combine, posting a 4.46-second 40-yard dash.

So where is Bijan going to go? Among draft experts, it’s a foregone conclusion that he is a first-round pick. The question is how long will he have to wait. The Ringer has him going at #8 to the Falcons. He is also projected to the Falcons in the SB Nation Community Draft. Pro Football Focus has him falling all the way to the Chargers at #21. Meanwhile, the NFL’s Maurice Jones sees him going at #10 to the Eagles. Despite his elite status, it’s safe to say we know how much NFL teams respect Robinson until his name is called.

Colin Kaepernick Seeking To Help Frustrated Family

Kaepernick has taken a strong stance on social justice since his days in the NFL. Obviously, Kaepernick hasn’t been seen in the league since taking the action of kneeling during the National Anthem is a form of protest for social justice. Tom Brady Threatens Lawsuit Over AI Usage

Tom Brady discussed many avenues the former NFL QB may run across in retirement. Brady decided to call it quits for a second time after the 2022-23 season. One of the avenues Brady has mentioned in the past was trying stand-up comedy. That news caught the attention of many in the comedy realm. As stand-up isn’t as easily done as one might see it to be. However, one comedy podcast decided to take Brady’s stand-up gig to a whole other level.

Dudesy is the first podcast run entirely by AI. The show’s hosts, Chad Kultgen and “Freewill” Will Sasso, discuss the world of artificial intelligence in the most unserious of ways. Recently, the show created an entire 1-hour comedy special with Tom Brady. The special was made by AI but featured a voice similar to Brady’s. When the special dropped on the podcast’s Patreon channel, word began spreading quickly on the AI impression of Brady. The special became so popular that Brady himself even learned about it.

Tom Brady Doesn’t Find AI Stand-Up Funny

However, Brady didn’t see the humor in the created special. Brady’s legal team sent a cease and desist letter to the podcast’s hosts. But the hosts don’t really see the harm in the special. However, they have complied with Brady’s legal team and have removed the special from their content pages. However, the hosts mentioned that this incident has not stopped them from potentially having other AI-generated content featuring celebrities and public figures.

Maybe Brady was jealous over such a great comedy special that he didn’t create. However, that may not be the biggest issue here. AI is continuing to break down walls on what it is capable of. This Tom Brady comedy special is just the latest example. The show has become larger than ever thought possible with the Brady AI special. However, for now, the show may want to stick to ‘Stone Cold Steven Austin Reading Will Sasso’s Childhood Diary.’ At least, that’s what one fan believes. It’s me. I’m the fan. Do you believe that Brady was right in taking legal action against the show? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. For the latest in AI and sports, keep it right here with HNHH.

Tua Tagovailoa Contemplated Retirement

Tua Tagovailoa has dealt with some very serious injuries. The Dolphins QB was diagnosed with two concussions in a very short period of time. Both injuries were very scary for all who had to witness them. Including the incident in Cincinnati that saw the QB being stretchered off the field. Just last season, Tua suffered three head injuries. Which was enough for many medical professionals to call for the former Alabama star’s early retirement from the game. Tua heard those remarks and thought about calling it a career.

However, after thinking about retirement, Tua realized he can still play. The Dolphins QB spoke with the media about having those retirement conversations with his family. “I think I considered it for a time,” Tua said. “Having sat down with my family and having sat down with my wife and having those conversations. But it would be hard for me to walk away from this game, with how old am I, with my son.” While the QB is just 25, the thought of another head injury could be extremely dangerous for Tua.

Tua Tagovailoa Isn’t Worried About Past Injuries

Tua has yet to appear in a full season with the Dolphins. Questions about his health are cause for serious concern. With the NFL Draft mere days away, one has to wonder if Miami is interested in looking at a quarterback. But for now, the team seems to be set and focused, with Tua leading the franchise. Even without Tua to finish the year, the Dolphins earned a playoff spot. However, the team fell to the Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card.

However, the Dolphins feel with Tua, the team can go a lot further than the Wild Card. Expectations are as high as they could be for this Dolphins team. Many around the franchise believe when healthy, the team could compete with the Bills for the top spot in the AFC East. But Tua’s health will be a key component in just how far the team can go. Do you think Tua Tagovailoa is making the right decision to continue playing in the NFL? Please give us your thoughts on the situation in the comment section. Deshaun Watson Sends Message To His Doubters

Deshaun Watson’s debut with the Cleveland Browns was rather forgetful. However, the Browns quarterback did have more than football to deal with. Watson has been accused of sexually abusing multiple women during his time with the Houston Texans. The alleged abuse was between Watson and over 20 different masseuses. The alleged incidents forced the NFL to suspend Watson for only eleven games last season. Add those eleven games to the full season Watson missed a year prior, and the former Clemson QB was out of action for a very long time.

Watson’s return last year showed that the former Heisman Trophy winner was more than rusty. The first-year Browns QB appeared in six games, throwing just seven touchdowns. Many believe the Browns decision to bring Watson in may be one of the biggest mistakes in league history. However, that isn’t even something Watson is currently thinking about. In his appearance with the media on Tuesday, Watson was asked about those who doubt that he can still play the game at a high level.

Deshaun Watson Isn’t Worried About The Doubters

“I don’t say anything. That’s their own opinions. I know who I am. This organization knows who I am. At the end of the day, I have the opportunity to prove (myself).” Watson told the media that he has no opinion on what the doubters say. Mentioning that only he can prove that he still has what it takes to be successful. However, the Browns and Watson have to be feeling the pressure. At the time of Watson’s arrival in Cleveland, he was the highest-paid player in the NFL.

However, the accusations against Watson shouldn’t be forgotten. Every person who claims to be a victim of these alleged crimes should be heard and respected for what they are saying. There is no place for sexual assault in this world. Because Watson is a famous athlete, doesn’t mean he should get a free pass. However, not a lot is being said on the issue as time continues to pass. Watson’s legal issues are still heavily involved in his personal life. However, one day the truth shall be told to all. Antonio Brown Involved In Heated Altercation

Antonio Brown is staying at the top of the headlines this week. Earlier this week, Brown discussed his final appearance in the NFL. A game that saw the former Pro Bowler take off his pads and leave the sidelines early. Brown claimed that there were many variables that went into his decision to quit in the middle of the game. However, over the weekend, it seems Brown found himself in another sticky situation. According to TMZ, Brown was seen in a heated debate with a security guard during a National Arena League game.

The incident began when Brown made his way onto the field during the Albany Empire’s opening game. Brown was asked to leave the field by security. However, the former Steelers receiver didn’t seem to like the decision made by security. In video clips, Brown is seen becoming aggravated with security asking him to leave the field. But according to some at the event, Brown was a great ambassador for the game. Including taking photos and signing autographs for the fans. Check out a clip from the incident below.

Antonio Brown Takes In NAL Game

In the clip, you can hear Brown tell security to “make me get off,” in referencing him leaving the field. As Brown was walking off the field, he made time for all the fans in attendance. Including greeting fans who were waiting for him on the sidelines. However, Brown’s past behaviors have some questioning what the former NFL star’s intentions were on the field. However, it does seem like the league, and Brown has quickly moved on past the incident from this past weekend.

Brown was last seen in the league in 2021. The now-viral moment of him leaving the field in New York will be the last memory Brown makes in his playing career. Even though Brown finished his career as one of the best to ever do it. The memories of his off-the-field issues have seemingly overshadowed the once-great talent. How do you think Antonio Brown’s career will be remembered? Will it be for his talents? Or will it be a what could have been story? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section. Deion Sanders Continues Breaking Milestones At Colorado

When Deion Sanders accepted the head coaching job for the Colorado football program, many took notice. Sanders’s recent success with Jackson State caught the eyes of a few Division One programs. However, it was Colorado who took the leap in bringing Sanders in. Since his arrival in Boulder, Sanders has been nothing but a positive impact on the program. The Colorado program was in dire need of a facelift, and they may have found their answer. At least the fanbase is already believing.

The program should have no issue bringing fans to the stadium this season. For the first time since 1996, the Buffaloes have sold their entire allotment of season tickets for 2023. An incredible feat considering the team only won one game last season. However, this is a fanbase starving to see a competitor on the field again. With Sanders, the fans know they will at least have a competitor running the program. Sanders is just as outspoken as a coach as he was a Hall-of-Fame player. For now, it seems to be working just fine with those around the Colorado program.

Deion Sanders Has Colorado Fans Thinking Primetime

Fans may want to temper their expectations for what they expect the product to look like on the field. Turning a football program from worst to first doesn’t happen overnight. It takes momentum and hard work. Which are two things Sanders has already started working on. The Buffaloes currently have the 24th-best recruiting class in the entire country. A feat that wouldn’t have been possible without Sanders running the show. Currently, the team has the second-best class in the entire PAC-12.

The college athletics landscape changes by the day. NIL has been one of the leading charges in those changes. However, it does feel that the sport is slowly moving to a mega-conference model. But that will not stop the same good teams from getting the same good players. However, there could be a new threat to the top of the college football food chain. Do you think Deion Sanders can turn Colorado into a dominant football program again? Let us know your thoughts on the Sanders-Colorado experiment in the comment section. Shannon Sharpe Reveals Thoughts On Jalen Hurts Contract

Shannon Sharpe believes Jalen Hurts’ contract is more than earned. Hurts signed a 5-year $255 million contract extension with the Philadelphia Eagles. The contract makes Hurts the highest-paid player in the NFL. However, Sharpe sees this as more than a player getting their money. But the contract should be seen as a celebration for black athletes. Also, not just a celebration for black athletes. But for every black quarterback who was told they couldn’t play the position. Something we all know has been proven wrong time and time again.

“It’s good to see a Black man whether for a week or a month be the highest-paid player in the NFL,” Sharpe declared when discussing Hurts’ contract. The league has seen a lot of success recently with black quarterbacks in the league. Sharpe even mentioned some of the highlights. Including this past Super Bowl being the first time in league history that both starting quarterbacks were black. Also, Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes being MVPs of the league are major milestones.

Shannon Sharpe Says Hurts Contract Is A Success For Black Athletes

Not only is the Hurts contract a huge success for black athletes. But Hurts couldn’t have gotten this deal without a team full of successful women. From his agent and marketing campaign to his communication team. Hurts’ brand is ran entirely by women. Another huge milestone in the movement for equality in the NFL. Now the pressure could be on for Hurts to deliver a lot for the Eagles with his new contract. However, Hurts has always understood the pressure.

Hurts has been through so much adversity in his playing career already. So, playing with the weight of a franchise on his shoulders should be no issue. Hurts could even take a few notes from Shannon Sharpe. Sharpe is a Hall-of-Famer, and deservedly so. Hurts’ contract extension is just another step for black quarterbacks proving their value to this sport. Hopefully, this won’t be the last time a black athlete is the highest-paid player in the league. For the latest NFL news, keep it right here at HNHH.

Damar Hamlin’s injury last season shook the entire world to the core. In what looked like a regular football play. Soon turned into a battle for the young man’s life. Flash forward nearly four months, and Hamlin is getting the best news he could ever hear. It appears that the Buffalo safety has been cleared to return to football activities.

The news is just an incredible story of what many believed at one time would end in tragedy. The entire NFL community rallied behind Hamlin in his time of need. For the rest of last season, players wore shirts in support of Damar during warm-ups. The Bills even brought Hamlin to the stadium for their playoff rematch with the Cincinnati Bengals. Since the injury, Hamlin has praised those medical professionals who saved his life on that field in Cincinnati.

Damar Hamlin Receives Positive News

In the months since his injury, Hamlin has made a great recovery, as well as pushing for a cause. Recently the young Bills star visited the Capitol to speak on how his life was saved. Hamlin is educating the country on how AED/CPR training should be available in every school in America. CPR and AED are some of the major reasons Hamlin can tell his story today. While Hamlin is cleared for football activities. However, that doesn’t mean he will be going 100% to get things started. Baltimore Ravens Extend New Offer To Lamar Jackson

The Baltimore Ravens are the latest team looking to keep their franchise QB. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Ravens have sent their star QB an updated roster. This news comes shortly after the announcement that the Philadelphia Eagles made QB Jalen Hurts the highest-paid player in the league. Unfortunately for the Ravens, the Hurts news couldn’t have come at a worse time for the time in their negotiations. It now seems Jackson will have a comparative contract on which to base his wants.

Jackson has been a start in his time in Baltimore. The former Heisman Trophy winner has added the MVP Award to his list of accolades. However, Jackson has yet to see any playoff success. Also, Jackson’s numbers have declined since his 2019 MVP season. Since that season, Jackson has only reached 20 touchdown passes or more just one time. But injuries have also played a role in that statistic. Jackson hasn’t been available for the full season in the past two years. But for Jackson, he doesn’t seem to believe that’s an issue.

Baltimore Ravens Send Jackson Another Offer

Jackson’s injuries have played a huge role in his off-season frustrations. The team’s around the league have been afraid to pull the trigger on inquiring about the superstar QB for that reason. But the Ravens have stated time and time again they have no interest in dealing Jackson. The Ravens recently added star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to the roster. A move that almost certainly made Jackson feel better about the future in Baltimore. However, it hasn’t been guaranteed the team will keep him.

Hurts had a memorable season in Philadelphia. The franchise believes with this past season’s success, they can build even more success. However, the Ravens and Jackson seem to be in a stalemate with so many moving parts involved. But one has to wonder that if Jackson had an agent, he could be in Hurts’ shoes right now. Will the Baltimore Ravens and Jackson come to an agreement? Or will Hurts’ deal become the straw that breaks the break between the two? For the latest NFL news, keep it right here with HNHH.
