Minkah Fitzpatrick Defends Nick Chubb Hit

Minkah Fitzpatrick has vehemently defended his hit on Nick Chubb during Monday Night Football The Steelers safety made his first public comments since the game on Thursday. “I’m a guy that is a competitor, that’s going to go out there and play the game. I’m chippy, I’m edgy, of course, but I’m not a dirty player. But I’m not going to sit here and defend my character. I know the type of player I am. Chubb knows the type of player I am. I played against him for the past five years, two times a year. And I love competing against him. He brings the best out of me, and I bring the best out of him. No chance that I would ever try and purposely injure somebody, always. It was an unfortunate event.”

Fitzpatrick hit Chubb during a goalline tackle that went horribly wrong as Chubb suffered a gruesome knee injury. The star running back will miss the rest of the season and will require surgery. “I didn’t see anybody on [the hole]. And I made the decision as soon as I seen the hole open up — and him in the hole — to go low. … It’s a fast game. … You make decisions within milliseconds. You can’t really control what happens after you choose to make your decision. I already chose to go low. Somebody got on his back as I was going low, and what happened, happened; there’s nothing I really would do differently. It’s very unfortunate. Chubb’s a great player. He makes the game a lot better when he’s playing,” Fitzpatrick continued.

Kareem Hunt Rejoins Browns After Chubb Injury

To replace Chubb, the Browns turned to a familiar face – Kareem Hunt. Hunt previously played for the Browns between 2019 and 2022. However, he left the team at the end of the 2022 season. Last month, ESPN and other outlets reported that Hunt had met with a number of teams, including the Saints, but would begin the season teamless.

Originally drafted in 2017 by the Chiefs, Hunt was released after a video of him assaulting a woman emerged online. The Browns signed Hunt ahead of the 2019 season. Over four seasons, Hunt has recorded 1874 yards and 16 touchdowns across 49 games. Per Ourlads, Hunt is listed as the RB2 behind 2022 draft pick Jerome Ford. Ford has 142 yards through the first two games of the season, including 106 against the Steelers. Furthermore, the Browns host the Titans on Sunday night.

Travis Kelce Addresses Taylor Swift Rumors

Travis Kelce has made his first statement on rumors that he is dating Taylor Swift. “I’ll tell you what: It’s hilarious how much traction this has actually got. Right now, it’s like an old game in school called ‘Telephone,’ where everybody’s just whispering in each other’s ear, just hearing some random stuff. I threw it out there. I threw the ball in her court, and you know, I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage at Arrowhead, and see which one’s a little more lit.’ So we’ll see what happens in the near future,” Kelce told Pat McAfee.

The statement comes less than 24 hours after a source within Swift’s camp appeared to confirm the rumors. The individual, who spoke with The Messenger, confirmed the pair were seeing each other but that it wasn’t anything serious right now. “She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious. She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week. He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her. They are seeing how things go.”

Stephen A. Smith Approves Of Kelce And Swift

Before Kelce’s appearance on Pat McAfee’s show, Stephen A. was discussing the rumors on First Take. “He could do worse and that’s saying a lot because look up the name Kayla Nicole. I’m a fan. She knows that. You know what I’m saying. No shade on her whatsoever. Having said that, he knows that. You understand what I’m saying? But having said that, she knows that too. Travis Kelce’s a good brother, man. I love me some Travis Kelce. That’s his business. I don’t know what’s going on. But anything that makes Travis Kelce happy, I am a supporter of,” Stephen told Mina Kimes.

Meanwhile, former pairing support Dave Portnoy appears to have soured on the rumors. On September 19, Portnoy wrote an op-ed for Barstool entitled “I Now Think Travis Kelce Is Using Taylor Swift For Clout”. Furthermore, Portnoy doubled down on the notion after Jason Kelce joked on Philly sports radio that the rumors about his brother and Swift were true. “Again side with Keegs. Im sick and tired of the Kelce brothers. Kelce “Confirms” Travis & Taylor Swift Are Dating, Another Day Where I Have To Give The Kelce Brothers Attention That They Don’t Deserve,” Portnoy wrote on X.

Chad Johnson Reveals He Used To Be A Stripper

Cincinnati Bengals legend Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson revealed a surprising part of his history during a recent live stream. Johnson claimed that back in 1997, while attending Santa Monica College, he worked as a stripper to help pay his bills. “I used to strip at The Right Track. I used to be a dancer. I could tell you cause we family. 1997, I was in LA. My mom was out there but I really couldn’t live with my mama, so I had a place in Santa Monica. Sometimes I was short on my light bill. But sometimes I had to miss work because I had football practice, you know how it is.” Johnson transferred to Oregon State after the 1999 season and spent one season with the Beavers. He was a second-round draft pick in 2001 and spent the next decade or so in the NFL. Johnson retired in 2017 after stints in Canada and Mexico.

Deion Sanders Has Harsh Words For Colorado Ahead Of Oregon Clash

Colorado may be 3-0 but Deion Sanders is far from happy. Sanders had some harsh truths for his team as they prepare to open Pac-12 play against #10 Oregon. “We haven’t played a complete game. We have not played a game where the offense, defense as well as special teams has all shown up in the same manner. If the offense is playing well, the defense is hot garbage. If the defense is playing well, offense is horrible and special teams aren’t special, so we got to put it all together to be able to defeat a team like Oregon,” Sanders said.

The comments come after Colorado beat in-state rivals Colorado State by eight in double overtime despite entering the game as 23.5-point favorites. Furthermore, the Buffs needed an 11-point fourth-quarter comeback to even force overtime in the first place. They enter their first Pac-12 matchup of the season as 21-point underdogs. Of the other five ranked v ranked matchups this week, only one other (Iowa @ Penn State) has a double-digit favorite.

Sanders Invested In Long-Term Plan For Sons

Elsewhere, and despite the criticism, Sanders is clearly preparing to build the Buffs around his sons Shedeur and Shilo. While Shilo (senior) and Shedeur (junior) are draft-eligible in 2024, Coach Dad doesn’t seem thrilled at the idea of losing the two key starters. “Shilo said, ‘Oh, wow, Shedeur, look. You gonna be in the NFL next year.’ I said, ’No he ain’t.’ …You all ain’t going nowhere,” Deion said in a video posted by Well Off Media. The comments were made while taking in the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Commanders.

The Sanders brothers have been key additions to a surging Colorado squad this year. Shedeur (QB) has 1251 yards and 10 touchdowns through three games. His respective career bests are 3732 yards and 40 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Shilo (Safety) has 19 tackles and a pick-six. Both would likely be high draft picks if they declared. Pat McAfee has already labeled Shedeur as a top-three pick. However, it appears that they will have to wait until at least 2025 before they leave for the pros. If true, that means they will play a season of Big 12 football before leaving college.

Deion Sanders Tells His Sons They Aren’t Leaving For The NFL Next Year

Deion Sanders intends on getting another year out of his sons in Colorado. While Shilo (senior) and Shedeur (junior) are draft-eligible in 2024, Coach Dad doesn’t seem thrilled at the idea of losing the two key starters. “Shilo said, ‘Oh, wow, Shedeur, look. Sanders Praised By Nick Saban

While he may be keeping his kids in school, Sanders is also getting high praise from some of the best coaches in the game. Alabama’s Nick Saban spoke on Sanders during his weekly media availability. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders. First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest. But I see their team playing well on the field. They play with discipline, they do a good job of executing, they’ve been able to score points, playing decent on defense. So all those things, to me, are indicators that he’s a really good coach,” Saban told reporters on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Saban noted that this was an opinion he had held prior to Sanders’ arrival in Colorado. “He’s always been successful whether it was Jackson State, high school or now in Colorado. His teams have always been well coached.” Sanders began his coaching journey at his Prime Prep Academy in Texas in 2012. He also coached at Triple A Academy and Trinity Christian Community College before landing the Jackson State job in 2020. He went 27-6 with the SWAC powerhouse.

Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Relationship Is “Nothing Serious”

A source close to Taylor Swift has seemingly confirmed that the singer has something with NFL star Travis Kelce.

The news came the same day that Travis’ brother Jason jokingly confirmed the relationship on Philly sports radio. “I try to stay out of Travis’ dating life. I try to keep his business his business and stay out of that world. Having said that, I think he’s doing great and I think it’s all 100% true,” Jason told WIP Morning Radio before adding, “I’m joking, I’m joking.”

However, one person who has soured on the rumors is Barstool founder Dave Portnoy. The self-proclaimed Swiftie initially supported the rumors linking Kelce and Swift. Now, Portnoy thinks that Travis isn’t here for the right reasons. Kelce “Confirms” Travis & Taylor Swift Are Dating, Another Day Where I Have To Give The Kelce Brothers Attention That They Don’t Deserve,” Portnoy wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Meanwhile, Swifties turned to their conspiracy boards following a recent appearance by the singer. New photos of Swift show her wearing a necklace prominently featuring an opal. After a little bit of research, her fans discovered that opal is in fact Travis Kelce’s birthday stone. Whether intentional or accidental, the detail has fans convinced that it’s confirmation of the pairing. This remains a developing story and we’ll have any details as they emerge.

Ice Spice’s Brother Receives Praise As High School Football Highlights Go Viral

Ice Spice is one of the most successful artists of the last year. Overall, her rise to fame has been immense. From hit songs to massive to collaborations to a drink with Dunkin Donuts, Spice has really been able to do it all. Although she is still a rookie in the game, she has been moving like a veteran, which is always great to see. Moving forward, it is going to be very interesting to see where she goes next. Of course, fans are anticipating a debut album, which is likely to do huge numbers.

However, on Twitter, it is her brother Joey Gaston who is getting a lot of love right now. As it stands, we are currently in football season, at all levels of play. Whether it be NFL, College, or High School, there is a lot of football being played right now. When it comes to Gaston, he is a quarterback at Iona Prep in New York. Ice Spice Has A Talented Brother

In the tweet above, you can see some of his highlights. These highlights are beginning to go viral, and yes, they are impressive. He runs a 4.5 40-yard dash, which is very solid for a quarterback. Moreover, he is someone who can sling the ball down the field, while also running it himself. Needless to say, he is a QB with a very bright future ahead of him. If anything, it just goes to show that Ice Spice’s family as a whole, is very talented and successful.

The High School football ecosystem can be very difficult to navigate. The same can be said of college. Hopefully, Spice helps her big brother out as he goes on this journey. Deion Sanders Praised By Nick Saban After 3-0 Start

Alabama coach Nick Saban has become the latest figure to offer up praise to Deion Sanders. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders. First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest. But I see their team playing well on the field. Sanders Shows The Love For Saban

Nick Saban

However, the praise is by no means one-sided. Sanders praised Saban during a recent 60 Minutes interview. “I love and I adore and I respect and every time I do a commercial with Coach Saban — it’s a gift. Just sitting in his presence and hearing him and throwing something else out there so I can hear his viewpoint on it, because he’s forgotten more things than I may ever accomplish. So I’m a student looking up to this wonderful teacher saying, ‘Just throw me a crumb of what you know.’”

Both coaches are faced with ranked matchups this weekend. For Sanders, his #19 Colorado squad are 21-point underdogs at #10 Oregon to open Pac-12 play. Meanwhile, Saban has the #13 Crimson Tide up against #15 Ole Miss. For the first time since September 2015, Alabama is not ranked inside the top 10. The drop from #10 to #13 came after the Tide struggled against unranked UCF.

Mad Dog Outlines Hilarious Plan For Watching Deion Sanders’ Colorado Take On Oregon

You can always rely on Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo to bring his signature wild flavor to First Take. The veteran TV personality joined Stephen A. and Marcus Spears to discuss Colorado’s 3-0 start to the season and their impending Pac-12 opener against #10 Oregon. Then the segment went completely off the rails as Mad Dog outlined his exact plans for catching the night game on Saturday.

First, Mad Dog will be in Flagstaff visiting his son. His day starts with a run and some dog walking before he loosens up with a midday cocktail and a gummie and turns on the afternoon slate of college games. Once he’s “good and sauced”, he will call “Fat Rob” (his bookie) and drop “10 dimes” on Colorado before taking the rest of the gummie and watching the game. It’s a truly wild plan and all we can say is that we hope he enjoys it.

Mad Dog Betting Big On Colorado Upset

However, perhaps the most surprising part of Mad Dog’s day is the $10,000 bet on Colorado. Per ESPN, Colorado are 21-point underdogs against the #10 Ducks. Of the other four ranked v ranked games this weekend, only one other (Iowa @ Penn State) has a double-digit underdog. It’s a major leap of faith in a program about to play its make-or-break game. Furthermore, given the competitiveness of the Pac-12 in the conference’s final season, even just one conference loss could rule you out of the race for the conference title.

At the time of writing, Colorado has six ranked opponents in conference play. Their conference home opener pits them against #5 USC and Heisman favorite Caleb Williams. However, they must also take on 22 UCLA, #14 Oregon State, #21 Washington State, and #11 Utah. Let’s hope, at least for the sake of Mad Dog’s wallet, that Colorado can prove their doubters wrote and score the late-night upset in Eugene. Do you think Colorado can pull it off, especially without Travis Hunter? Let us know in the comments. Follow all the latest sports news here at HotNewHipHop.

Deion Sanders Invites DaBaby To Colorado, Offers Him A Spot On The Team

Deion Sanders has been exchanging social media pleasantries with DaBaby in recent days. It all began when DaBaby hit up Coach Prime while attendings the Panthers’ loss to the Saints with his kids. “PRIME WE NEED YOU IN CAROLINA AFTER YOU BRING THAT CHAMPIONSHIP TO COLORADO. Hit my line coach, let’s talk. @deionsanders.” Deion responded some time later, inviting the rapper up to Boulder. “Lolololol. I’m good here. I need u here my brother. And bring the babies. Prime loves the kids.”

However, after video emerged of DaBaby showing of his skills, Sanders hit DaBaby once again. “Quick feet good release and u stacked the DB,” Sanders commented on the post. “We know you’re a Dogg so You got a offer to play At COLORADO. Let’s go Baby.” Colorado’s next home game is against #5 USC in two weeks’ time.

Regardless of whether walkout receiver DaBaby rolls up to Boulder, it’s time for the Buffs to prove that they are the real deal. While a 3-0 record and #19 ranking in the AP Poll is nice, it’s fair to say that Colorado has had a fairly favorable start to the season. They beat an overhyped TCU squad by three, crushed the ever-hapless Nebraska, and needed an 11-point comeback and double-overtime to beat a Colorado State team projected to finish 7th in the Mountain West. The team’s upcoming slate of games will be a true test of what the squad is capable of.

For Colorado, Pac-12 play begins with a trip to #10 Oregon. The Ducks are projected to finish fourth in the conference and even received a first-place vote in preseason media voting. However, Colorado will be Oregon’s first real test of the season as well after wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, and Hawai’i. After Oregon is a matchup against #5 USC, led by Heisman favorite Caleb Williams. Beyond that, the Buffs have four other (currently) ranked matchups in #22 UCLA, #14 Oregon State, #21 Washington State, and #11 Utah.
