Saweetie And GloRilla Shared A Sweet Moment At Billboard’s Women In Music Awards Despite Rumors Of Beef Between Them

In 2022, as GloRilla’s breakout hit “FNF (Let’s Go)” dominated playlists and airwaves, fans breathlessly speculated about which of her fellow rap it-girls would appear on the track’s heavily anticipated remix. When it did come out, they got a surprise: while it had originally been billed to feature Saweetie, the released version instead featured JT of City Girls and Latto.

The abrupt change led to rumors that GloRilla and Saweetie had some behind-the-scenes issue — rumors that GloRilla did her best to brush off later that year. But at last night’s Billboard Women In Music Awards, the two rappers shared a sweet moment backstage that should put the rumors to rest once and for all. In a video making the rounds on social media, GloRilla appears to have noticed Saweetie walking by as she posed for photos. Ditching the shoot, Glo traipses over to intercept Saweetie and they exchange kind words and hugs.

At some point during the night, they also posed for Getty photographer Michael Buckner, resulting in a raft of pics of the pair embracing. It looks like they’re on relatively decent terms, so while there’s still no explanation on why the “FNF” remix didn’t feature Saweetie, perhaps we’ll get another collaboration instead.

Saweetie is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Since finding viral success with her 2022 track “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” GloRilla has become quite comfortable in the limelight. But, there’s one thing she’s still settling into—her brand new breast implants.

In fact, GloRilla accidentally flashed her four million followers online during an Instagram livestream. Immediately, fans began to clip the moment, reposting it across the social media platform. Although the “Yeah Glo!” rapper isn’t ashamed of her innocent peep show, supporters have begun to flood her comments with remarks about the moment. So, on March 2, GloRilla addressed it with a rather perky response on another broadcast.

“Let me tell ya somethin’,” she said. “Stop acting like y’all are so muthaf*ckin’ amazed by a nipple. Baby, ain’t it sh*t but a nipple. Calm down. Please calm down.”

GloRilla didn’t stop there. She went on to scold her followers for screen-recording the moment. “I don’t know, I’m not going to do sh*t in the background f*cking around with y’all,” she said. “Baby, y’all see everything. Y’all gonna record that sh*t. Y’all don’t play them type of games.”

In December 2023, GloRilla shared the news of her body modification on Instagram. “I just bought some new titties,” she said. “Y’all like my new titties? I’m on my bullsh*t, I just bought some new titties. I ain’t with that overboard sh*t. These are just a little fill-in. Just filled them in.”

Since then, GloRilla has kept supporters updated on her recovery process.

GloRilla Declares April 29 “National FNF Day”

GloRilla has a big reason to celebrate April 29th. It’s been one year to the day since she released “F.N.F. (Let’s Go).” The song, which was produced by Hitkidd, gained immense popularity on TikTok after it was released in April 2022. This led to the track peaking at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The song has also been certified gold by the RIAA and received a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Performance. Iconic rapper Nas even referenced GloRilla and the viral track. He called her out by name in his album King’s Disease III’s final bonus track titled “Til My Last Breath”. On the track, he raps, “I’m applying pressure, I see why she prеssed / When she with me she GloRilla, FNF.”

Despite its success, the “F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” release was not free from drama, as GloRilla faced some pretty serious legal problems with the song’s producer. Hitkidd criticized GloRilla on Twitter. He claimed that the Memphis rapper and her team attempted to gain total ownership of the track. “So basically these folks are trying to take me to court over ‘FNF’ because they want to OWN the song,” he wrote. He went on to say that he tried to help GloRilla by giving her advice, but she didn’t listen. “I told you… everyday that we was in LA… that labels are going to try to sign you because of FNF so watch out,” he continued. “I also told you to let me know when labels reach out so we can be on the same page.” Regardless, GloRilla’s life changed for the better after the release.

GloRilla Gets Roasted On Twitter

GloRilla seemed to be one of the only people who didn’t know about Elon Musk’s recent blue check purge. The internet was exploding with stories about it. Celebrities have complained left and right. Threats have been leveraged at the Twitter CEO. Dead celebrities have been getting blue checks back for no apparent reason. The whole thing has been a pretty huge mess. Somehow, GloRilla had no idea any of this was going on. To be fair, she was pretty busy with her Coachella performance and her lawsuit. Still, fans are roasting her for it. The rapper took to the social media platform to complain about her sudden lack of blue check.

“Elon be acting slow ash sometimes…. cause were my blue check go???????” GloRilla asked in a now-deleted tweet. Fans of course immediately ran with it, responding by roasting the rapper. “No, you the slow one! Everyone been knew it was happening and it did,” one user said. “Pay that 8 bucks a month.” GloRilla did not respond to the tweet, but the fact that the rapper deleted the original tweet says it all. How she didn’t know about the entire thing is a mystery. Many celebrities have been complaining about it for a while now. The rapper’s account now displays a blue check, suggesting that she paid for it.

Hitkidd Drops Female Rap Posse Cut Single, “You The Type”

“F.N.F. (Let’s Go)” producer Hitkidd just released “You the Type” with Aleza, K Carbon, Slimeroni, and Gloss Up. Overall, it’s a fiery and hard-hitting trap cut with great energy from every single female MC. In fact, they’re all from GloRilla’s clique, with whom the producer made their breakout track last year. Furthermore, each rapper gets a moment of shine via short and sweet verses that don’t let the energy up. As far as the instrumental, it’s just as murderous and bass-heavy as you’d expect from a Memphis production. However, it feels particularly dramatic or menacing thanks to low piano chords and regal melodies.

Unfortunately, the “F.N.F.” collaborators had a small falling out a couple of months ago as GloRilla and Hitkidd discussed contract issues. However, the producer’s longtime business partner Kadeem Phillips provided a third perspective, albeit from Hitkidd’s camp. “Glo independently collects money for FNF its all hers she just doesnt own the song and never will,” he wrote. “We actually saved her from losing millions and Glo was able to get a deal without having to sell her independent record. FNF was created to help all the girls not for CMG.”

Still what did you think of this latest Memphis posse cut, “You the Type” with Hitkidd, Aleza, K Carbon, Slimeroni, and Gloss Up? However you feel, let us know in the comments and check out standout bars and the music video down below. Also, if you haven’t heard the track yet, you can find the loaded new song on your preferred streaming service. As always, come back to HNHH every week for the best new music releases.

I’m that type of b***h, I want your n***a, I’ll come snatch him (I’ll come take him)

Can’t get caught up by his b***h, so he still hit me through his Snapchat (Yeah, his Snap)

Gloss Up Collides With GloRilla On “BestFrenn”

Gloss Up and GloRilla are ready for whatever on their new banger, “BestFrenn.”

The two Memphis artists and frequent collaborators join forces, once again, for Gloss Up’s latest record. Produced by G Styles On The Track, Gloss Up and GloRilla serve up a bouncy yet aggressive banger in the spirit of “Knuck If You Buck.” Gloss Up swings out the gate, pledging to smack a grandma, auntie and cousin if anyone tests her bestie. GloRilla follows up on the second verse, riding the beat with a laidback flow in contrast to Gloss Up. “BestFrenn” already sounds like it’s bound to be another smash hit for both artists.

Gloss Up and GloRilla are part of the new wave of women emerging out of Memphis right now. Of course, the video for “F.N.F” highlighted the crew and propelled them further into the spotlight.

Gloss Up sat down with HNHH on the latest season of On The Come Up where she discussed the rising Memphis scene.

“We the first girls that’s out of Memphis that’s actually doing something,” she said. “For a long time, it’s been the dudes getting it on, so now it’s like, the girls getting recognition. It’s cool cause everybody supporting us right now, and I like it.”

GloRilla’s verse on “BestFrenn” comes a little less than a week after she teamed up with Moneybagg Yo for their new single, “On Wat U On.

Check Gloss Up’s new single below.

Quotable Lyrics
I can’t watch my bestie fight, ’cause shit gon’ be a bad look
And any bitch ain’t step out there to fight, we on your ass too
Playin’ with that one right there, know it’s up there with whoever, boo
Muggin’ when you see us shakin’, bitch, that’s all you better do

GloRilla Brushed Off Rumors Of Beef With Saweetie And Has No Idea Where That Idea Even Came From

This past year proved to be fruitful for Memphis rapper GloRilla. Her songs like “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” and “Tomorrow 2,” with Cardi B, proved to be viral hits. But with a platform like the one she’s earned this year comes downsides to fame, including rumors.

“F.N.F.” became a quick favorite in the rap world, with her peers, Latto and JT of City Girls quickly hopping onto a remix of the track. Though, it was previously announced that Saweetie would remix the track, and her verse even leaked to the internet and received much play in the clubs.

Because of this switch, rumors began to circulate that GloRilla and Saweetie were beefing. In a recent interview with Complex, GloRilla revealed that those rumors couldn’t be further from the truth, nor is she invested in beef with anyone else.

“I ain’t know they was trying to make us beef,” Glo said. “We never thought that sh*t. We always, ‘What’s up, sis?’ I don’t know what the f*ck they talking about. In general, they do try to pit women against each other. They don’t do that to males. It be a lot of lying and sh*t. That’s why I learned to not give a f*ck about any of that sh*t.”

Saweetie and Cardi B are Warner Music artists. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

Hitkidd And GloRilla Link With Latto And JT For A Remix Of ‘FNF (Let’s Go)’

Riding the highs of her viral hit “FNF (Let’s Go),” GloRilla has teamed up with Latto and JT of City Girls for a women-empowered remix.

On the remix, the ladies declare themselves free of time-wasting men, and remain focused on the money.

Never one to mince words, JT delivers the first guest verse, rapping. “I’m F-R-E-E, hold up, stop the beat / I’m a muthaf*ckin’ city girl, ain’t sh*t free ’bout me”

Following the catchy chorus and “let’s go” refrains, superstar rapper Latto comes in with the next guest verse. Aware of her power, Latto doesn’t feel threatened by any of her enemies. “All my opps scary, they won’t pop up at the party / Got them b*tches runnin’ from me, like an episode of Maury,” raps Latto.

Shortly before she released the original version of the song this past April, GloRilla shared a snippet of the song onto her Triller page. In an interview with Billboard, the Memphis rapper revealed that feedback from her fans plays a huge role in how she decided which songs she releases.

“Every time I record a song and I really like it, I like giving my audience something to look forward to — if the snippet do good, I release the song,” she siad. “I’ve had a couple of the Triller videos [go] viral, but the songs don’t always. I didn’t know [‘F.N.F.’] was gonna get this big.”

Yo Gotti Signs ‘FNF’ Rapper GloRilla To His Label, CMG Records

Fans of turnt-up, unapologetically Southern crunk rap are undoubtedly tuned in to the monstrous hit that is Hitkidd and GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go).” Released in May, the song has already accumulated well over 30 million streams across all platforms and has been tabbed as the song of the summer in many circles. That’s before Bay Area favorite Saweetie teased an impending remix, adding her star power to what has already become an unstoppable juggernaut of a hit. And now, the icing on the cake: The song has officially resulted in a label deal for the burgeoning Memphis hitmaker GloRilla, courtesy of one of her hometown’s heroes.

Yo Gotti, head of CMG Records and the rapper behind huge viral smashes such as “Down In The DM” and “Rake It Up,” announced he has signed GloRilla to his imprint via a video Tweet showing GloRilla and her friends mobbing their way onto a private plane, where she puts ink to paper to solidify their artistic partnership.

In a report about the signing, Yo Gotti told Billboard, “GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now. It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late-April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music. Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

Meanwhile, GloRilla herself said of the move, “I’ve put in years of hard work to get this point and I’m blessed to sign with the hottest label in music with CMG. manifested this moment and trusted my talent even when others didn’t. I’m grateful for Gotti for believing in me and I’m not gonna let up. Trust that I have more new heat on the way.”

She’s not exaggerating; CMG is also home to several of rap’s fastest rising stars, including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, and EST Gee, all of whom have seen tremendous success in the last two years with either their debuts, follow-ups to their debuts, or joint projects masterminded by Yo Gotti himself. If the pattern holds, expect to see a lot more of GloRilla on the charts in the coming months.
