Skip Bayless is one of the greatest hot-take artists in the entire world. Overall, that is what he has made his entire career off of. Although not everyone is a fan of this, there are certainly those who love Bayless and what he brings to the table at times. Sure, he can be annoying, but he knows how to be provocative and entertaining. Unfortunately, the future of Undisputed is now in jeopardy as Shannon Sharpe is gearing up to leave the show. Only time will tell who the replacement will be.

As for last night, the NBA Finals were on an off-night, which meant Skip didn’t have much to watch. However, there was a fight going on between Floyd Mayweather and John Gotti III. As you probably know by now, that fight was an absolute disaster for a plethora of reasons. Mostly, it was because of the in-ring brawl that took place after the referee had waved it off. The whole thing was a debacle, and Skip seems to have an interesting take on it all.

“The Floyd-Gotti “brawl” after my man Kenny Bayless stopped the “fight” was obviously scripted and staged,” Skip Bayless explained. Overall, this is a pretty bold thing to say. This is especially true when you consider how Skip said this so matter-of-factly. However, this is most likely a hot take and opinion rather than a declarative statement. That said, the only people who know whether or not this was staged are Floyd’s team and Gotti’s team.

If this was, indeed, all staged, then it is easy to see why they would do it. Outside of this fight, very few people knew the fight was happening. Floyd Mayweather had a boxing match last night, which was news to a whole lot of people. Even if you follow sports news religiously, it was easy to miss this one. However, it turns out that the legend was doing an exhibition match against John Gotti III. Overall, it was not a fantastic matchup, and the fanfare surrounding it was pretty minimal. That said, this turned out to be one of the most entertaining things that Floyd has been part of in a long time. Albeit, for all of the wrong reasons.

As you can see in the clip below, the fight was stopped in the middle of the sixth round. This was all due to the fact that Gotti had placed Mayweather in an illegal hold. Moreover, there were reports of some heavy trash talk, as well as some antics from Gotti’s side of the ring. Subsequently, after being told the fight was over, Gotti rushed at Floyd Mayweather and kept trying to box. This led to both camps entering the ring and fighting with one another. The Money Team was not about to let their guy get jumped, and Gotti paid the price.

Floyd Mayweather Stands His Ground

Overall, it was a disgraceful showing from John Gotti III. Floyd Mayweather was simply going about the fight as normal and almost got sucker punched. However, Mayweather was ready for anything and got stanced up as soon as he saw Gotti rush over. Ultimately, this was a pretty bad look for his opponent, and the consequences have yet to be revealed. Either way, this was a pretty bad night for boxing as a whole.

Despite his out-of-ring controversies, he is inarguably one of the greatest fighters of all time. He is also 3-0 in scored exhibition matches since retiring from professional fighting.

His opponent tonight is not as well known. John Gotti III is a professional MMA fighter and boxer. Gotti III had a nice 5-0 start to his professional MMA career before being out-grappled at a CES main event in 2020. He shifted to professional boxing after a number of comeback fights fell. He is currently 2-0 in his boxing career and ranked as the #702 in the light heavyweight division by BoxRec. However, the main appeal of Gotti III as an opponent is his connection to the Gambino crime family, which was run by his grandfather and father. However, the fight has now announced a pretty fire musical set to accompany what many expect to be a very tame fight.

The announcement came via the Instagram page of The Zeus Network, the network that holds the Pay Per View rights to the fight. In the video, Mayweather introduces BlueFace “and his better half” as the headliners for the night’s non-fighting entertainment. Of course, this comes at a very messy time for the couple. There is a lot of drama going down between the two. However, most recently they were seen clubbing together.

Furthermore, the appearance is something of a surprise given that BlueFace was recently arrested for robbery. However, he’s out of jail so he can do what he wants. It will be interesting to see what sort of performance they put on given their history and current status. The Zeus Network also announced a number of supporting acts for the pair. Footage Shows Police Escorted Jake Paul Away From Mayweather

Jake Paul has made a name for himself with his larger-than-life personality. Getting his start on YouTube, Paul was loved by his fans and loathed by his man detractors. However, he is now better known for his boxing career. While many debates have occurred about his skill and choice of opponent, Paul appears to be genuinely serious about pursuing a career as a fighter. He currently holds a 6-1 professional record.

However, not every confrontation with his fellow boxers has been in the ring. Paul has a long history of beef with Floyd Mayweather. They have been rivals since at least 2021, when the two were scheduled to face off. During a promotion event, Paul stole Mayweather’s hat. However, Mayweather’s camp claims that things run deeper than that. Things came to a head last month when Mayweather reportedly confronted Paul in Miami following an NBA game. Both sides gave conflicting accounts of the incident, with Paul claiming Mayweather “ambushed” him while Mayweather’s jeweler said Paul “ran like a rabbit” upon merely seeing Mayweather’s crew.

He said, he said seemed to be where the story ended with the Miami incident. That is until TMZ released new footage they had obtained of the incident. In the footage, obtained from a police source, Paul can be seen being escorted back into Miami’s Kaseya Center by police. That came as a result of swift police intervention as the two entourages encountered one another on the concourse. In Paul can be heard telling the officer escorting that “they were trying to jump me”. Paul and his crew are also heard stating that they believed Mayweather to have around “50” people in his group. It is unclear how many people were with Mayweather, as the footage also shows other guests leaving the arena following the game. Paul eventually left the Kaseya Center without further incident.

It’s unclear who the footage vindicates more. If anything, the footage speaks to the rapid response of the present police officers to curtail the incident before it became anything more serious. While both parties are seen squaring up and exchanging terse words, it does not definitely prove Paul’s claim that he was “ambushed” by Mayweather. However, it does show that Mayweather had the numbers advantage in the confrontation, even if 50 seems like an exaggeration. Neither party has responded to the footage’s release. Jake Paul Is Lying About Floyd Mayweather Miami Incident, Says Floyd’s Jeweler

Floyd Mayweather’s jeweler Shuki International said that Jake Paul is lying about their recent altercation in Miami. For those unaware, the two rivals ran into each other after a Miami Heat game and exchanged words- almost punches. On Paul’s side of the story, he said that Floyd and 50 people from his entourage waited to confront the social media provocateur outside the stadium. Upon seeing the large crowd, he says that he ran because it was too many to fight, while fronting that it’s not that he was scared. However, given that Shuki was there at the time of the incident, he said things were actually much different.

“Jake is exaggerating,” the jeweler told TMZ in an exclusive clip. Also, he claimed that neither the boxer nor his crew sought out Paul, chalking up the crossover to a complete coincidence. “We just finished the game, pulled out, and Jake was there. Floyd was with his eight bodyguards. And [Jake] just run like a rabbit.” The feud seems to not be slowing down anytime soon, especially given Paul doubling down on it.

Still, from Shuki’s tale, it seems that he might’ve just spotted Floyd and ran away to avoid a larger confrontation.

Despite that, the jeweler actually suggested that there are some unpaid debts when it comes to their feud. Moreover, he seemed to suggest that the coincidental encounters could become maliciously planned if Paul doesn’t apologize. “He’s gotta do the right thing,” he told TMZ, affirming that Floyd still has beef with Paul for stealing his hat. “He’s gotta respect the world champion.” Whatever happens next, Shuki seems to be trying to tell us that this was just the beginning.
