Stephen A Smith Defends Drake Amid Joe Budden Feud

Stephen A. Smith says that Drake has ‘every right” to defend himself amid his ongoing feud with Joe Budden. Addressing the dispute on his podcast on YouTube, Tuesday, Smith explained that Drake is at the top of the game, following the release of For All The Dogs. Despite understanding Drake’s position, Smith did admit he may have taken his response too far.

He explained: “He didn’t have to go that far with Joe Budden than the first class occasion. That was kind of low. But obviously they got a rivalry, they got something going on and it’s messing with Drake and he felt the need to speak up and defend himself or whatever the case may be. You come out with a new album for the first time in a while after people have been clamoring for you to come out with an album and first thing you hear is a criticism from a guy that you’ve heard criticism from before.”

He further added: “Drakе statistically, numbеrs wisе, dollars wisе, is clеarly on anothеr lеvеl. It’s just that simple. Drake is spеaking up for himsеlf which hе has еvеry right to do.” Smith also noted that he has personal experience within his own industry that gives him sympathy for Drake’s actions. “There’s some cats in my industry. Oh, I’m itching,” he revealed. “I’m scratching preventing myself from going at their asses. Really, I am. Because I’m up here in this industry and I don’t need to go down there. But I’m tempted because that’s where I’m from and I know that lane and I really really really want to. I really do.” From there, he explained that he has friends and loved ones who “expect better” from him. “I understand exactly where Drake is coming from,” he added.

KXNG Crooked Picks A Side In The Drake & Joe Budden Beef

Joe Budden and Drake are currently in the midst of a feud. Overall, this feud began because of Budden’s criticisms surrounding For All The Dogs. He was very honest about how he felt in regard to the album. Unfortunately, Drake did not want to hear these criticisms, at all. Instead, he decided to launch an attack on Budden, where he effectively called him “irrelevant.” He also argued that Budden failed at rappin g, which is ironic given just how much Drake was inspired by the man.

Recently, TMZ spoke with Budden’s former Slaughterhouse bandmate, KXNG Crooked. During the interview, the rapper sided with Joe and noted that it felt like Drake also took a shot at him. “I feel like [Drake] threw me a stray, I caught a stray,” KXNG Crooked noted. “Because I love talking about Hip-Hop. I think it’s a dope, natural progression and evolution of an MC’s career to jump behind the microphone and start speaking about the game as a commentator.”

Crooked also went on to say that Drake’s response is proof that he took what Joe said to heart. At the end of the day, if Joe was truly irrelevant or a “failed rapper,” he would never levied such a harsh response. “Skills matter, respect from your peers matters, because if they didn’t, Drake wouldn’t have answered Joe Budden. If those things did not matter, [Drake] wouldn’t have [responded] because he has everything else… Him just responding to Joe just gives Joe the power that Joe probably wanted,” the rapper articulated.

The Joe Budden and Drake beef is pretty well over at this point. While Joe may speak on it through his podcast, it seems like Drizzy has moved on. Drake Praised Joe Budden In Resurfaced Footage: Watch

Drake engaged in a bitter feud with Joe Budden over the weekend. Overall, this all stems from Joe’s initial reactions to For All The Dogs. Budden felt like the album was weak and that it showcased an unwillingness for Drizzy to grow. Instead, Budden felt like the whole album was made for the kids, which doesn’t make sense considering his age.

“[Drake is] rapping for the children,” Budden said. “I had to look up how old this n***a was when I finished listening to the album … You gonna be 37 years old. Get the fuck away from some of these younger n****s, and stop fucking these 25-year-olds. … Why are you still fucking the 25-year-olds? You’re a 37-year-old billionaire.” Drake did not find this criticism particularly amusing, and he launched a scathing attack as a result. He isn’t letting his foot off the gas, however, some feel like the hate is misguided. This is especially true as footage has surfaced of Drizzy praising Joe Budden at a show back in 2009.

“I’m happy, I’m honored — I’m honored to be around you, man,” Drake said to Budden. “So, I can’t be honest on your network, here? I can’t be honest to your fans and say I’m honored to be around you?” If you are aware of the lore, you know that Drake was heavily influenced by Joe Budden. Budden was a pioneer when it came to being vulnerable in hip-hop and the megastar took note. This old footage just speaks to Joe’s influence and how Drake was probably deeply hurt by Budden’s review. Needless to say, it is easy to see how that IG onslaught came about.

Furthermore, a lot of fans are using this footage as a “this you” of sorts. With Drake calling Joe Budden a “bum,” to put it mildly, fans are seeing some hypocrisy here. Chrisean Rock And JackBoy Feud After Rapper Compares His Domestic Violence Allegations To Her And Blueface

Chrisean Rock is feuding with former Kodak Black affiliate JackBoy. “Jack boy shut yo ugly ass up what I got to [do] with you beating ya bitch up if I was her both of us would have black eyes not just her with ya small ass n ya dreads would be pulled out … and dats ain’t how u say my name either tf,” Rock wrote on X. The situation appears to stem from comments Jackboy made on a recent livestream. After being accused of domestic violence by his girlfriend, Jackboy said the situation was “not like Chrisean and Blueface”.

JackBoy is the subject of some pretty horrific abuse allegations from Lexxstasy, a rapper affiliated with his 1804 Records label. “He would beat the shit out of me, spit on me, made me sit in the shower butt-ass naked with a fan on, in a sixty-degree house. [He] would make me suck dick or fuck him after he beat my ass bloody, bruised, eyes damn near shut,” Lexxstay claimed on Instagram Live. She also alleged that JackBoy had once choked and pistol-whipped her until he “almost killed” her.

However, Jackboy isn’t the only person coming after Rock in recent days. Her brother Mookie called Rock out after she blurred their sister out of her newest music video and also reportedly did not give him any sort of production credit. “Nothing about this song was selfish. It hurt me that I didn’t get a tag, a like, a comment when I posted the song months ago. Than to take Tifa out the song is spiteful. I could have atleas got tagged in my own song. We family, I put this song together for my family, and then you changed the name of the song,” Mookie wrote on Instagram. Furthermore, he went as far as to call Rock “spiteful and evil”.

It’s unclear why Rock blurred out her sister in the video for “Prayer For Chrisean Jr”. However, fans believe it stems from a post that Blueface made that was clearly intended to upset Rock. Rock has subsequently made molestation and cousin-fucking allegations against her sister. This comes as the two appear on Baddies East together and following the revelation that Rock once had her sister jumped.

Kanye West slammed Nas and Pusha T in a newly leaked clip taken from a never-before-released documentary. The resurfaced video has been circulating on social media over the weekend. In it, Ye accused the artists of trying to use him for their collaborations with West back in 2018.

“The f*ck I’m doing giving (‘Gonna Love You’) to f*cking Teyana? What the f*ck I’m doing giving that DAYTONA album to Pusha?” he says, as noted by Hip-Hop-N-More. “That sh*t was three Dark Fantasies that I gave away. ‘Cops Shot The Kid’, Nas rapping all God damn offbeat on it, don’t even wanna shoot a video, then shoot the video, don’t even tell me. These motherf*ckers don’t appreciate me. All these motherf*ckers is trynna use me.”

In the time since the clip, Kanye produced half of Pusha’s It’s Almost Dry so it appears the two made amends afterward. Following West’s infamous antisemitism scandal in 2022, Pusha revealed that the two of them weren’t on speaking terms anymore.

Bow Wow Denies Romeo Feud: “I Have Mad Love”

Bow Wow says he doesn’t have any issues with Romeo Miller, despite their social media spat in 2021. Bow Wow put the idea of a feud between them to rest on Twitter while replying to a fan on Monday.

When the user wrote: “Trying to figure out why you and lil Romeo beefing but other than that, I’m making burgers,” Bow Wow replied: “I dont beef. I have mad love for rome. He know that.” The fan then clarified that they were kidding: “That’s good man!!! Obviously it was a joke!!! Be well!!”

The tension between Bow Wow and Romeo picked up back in 2021 during Romeo’s appearance on Fox Soul’s The Mix. During the episode, he discussed fans’ calls for the two to battle on Verzuz. “If Bow Wow do a godddamn battle and it’s not with me, don’t do it. If Bow do a battle, I’m open for it,” he said. Bow Wow quickly responded on Twitter: “You sure you want this smoke? I see you calling me out. You sure this what you want to do?”

You know me in real life bro, we aren’t kids anymore; leave that for the fans. Malik Yusef Theorizes Kanye’s Antisemitism Was Aimed At Drake

Malik Yusef says he believes Kanye West’s antisemitic remarks were aimed at Drake. Appearing on the Rap Today With Francis podcast, he also claimed that West has forbidden him from working with the Toronto rapper and attempted to stop Travis Scott from doing the same.

“I think they were for Drake,” he said. “That’s what I think. I don’t know who else you would say that was. I have never directly worked with Drake ’cause Kanye asked me not to. He said, ‘Please don’t go work directly with Drake.’ I said, ‘Okay.’ ‘Cause Kanye’s brother, but I love Drake too, though. He asked Travis [Scott] the same thing, but Travis said no.”

Yusef also theorized that Kanye’s antisemitism might not be legitimate and instead all an act. He explained: “He’s saying he’s attacked by the Jews — I don’t fucking know. I see him with Jewish people all the time. One night, when he was going through that rant, he was in a car with a Jewish dude, so I don’t know, man. I think it’s all entertainment. Further speaking on Drake and Kanye’s feud, Yusef also argued that Ye has no right to be upset with Drake. “I think that Drake loves Kanye, and that Kanye hates that Drake loves him,” Yusef said. “I don’t feel like him being angry with Drake has any credence, because Drake has been nothing but kind and good and a good student of Kanye, so I don’t know where the anger comes from. ’He took my style!’ Okay, cool. Drake takes everybody’s style. Tinashe Responds To Chris Brown Drama, Claims She Is Open To Reconciliation

Tinashe and Chris Brown have found themselves at odds as of late. Overall, this stems from some comments the former made on the Zach Sang Show. Essentially, the songstress feels like her label forced her to collaborate with R. Kelly and Chris Brown. She noted that she was embarrassed by some of those collaborations, especially the ones with Kelly. As for CB, she felt like the label was putting him on her songs because they were trying to do anything that could make her top the charts.

“We all wanted [‘Player’] to be this big moment, this big single. So I feel like in [RCA’s] mind, they were like ‘You need the support.’ And [Brown] was like their biggest artist that they had on rhythmic radio at the time,” Tinashe said. “I was like, ‘Well, this is a pop song, so I really don’t feel like we should put Chris on it like that. I don’t like that. That doesn’t compute to me.’” Subsequently, Brown clapped back and said no one can name five Tinashe songs off the top of their head.

Recently, TMZ was able to catch up with the singer, where they asked her about the whole situation. Overall, she feels like the whole thing has been blown out of proportion. She claims that if Chris Brown watched the interview, he wouldn’t feel anywhere near as badly. However, she understands why he might be upset. From there, she noted that she is open to reconciling with him and having a conversation. That said, she doesn’t expect that to happen anytime soon.

Blueface & Lil Baby Seemingly Send Subliminal Shots On Twitter

Blueface is someone who has been making millions of headlines as of late. Overall, this is due to the fact that Chrisean Rock just gave birth to their son. Moreover, he and Jaidyn Alexis have been getting into a ton of drama. This is mostly because Blue has been spending time with Chrisean and his new child. Ultimately, this is all very messy, and there are a lot of people involved in this weird love web. One such person is Lil Baby, who Blueface claims Chrisean was sleeping with, or at least tried to sleep with.

On a new song called “Baby Momma Drama,” Blueface decided to offer a shot at the Atlanta artist. “Lil Baby thought he knew me,” Blueface raps. “How you let another grown man feel up on your booty.” These bars are a clear declaration of war. Any rapper be incensed at this kind of disrespect, and as it turns out, Lil Baby is no different. Last night, he offered a tweet where he simply said, “Whooo? Y’all stop playing.” Subsequently, Blue responded by saying, “You know who.” However, it was a subtweet as he did not quote or reply to Baby’s tweet.

At this point, it is clear that the two do not like each other. Although, one has to wonder what Baby thinks about being wrapped up in all of this. He has steered clear of such feuds in the past, but now, he is being dragged into something that has been going on for months. Overall, fans are hoping for some diss tracks between the two. After all, Lil Baby has dealt with claims that he fell off. A solid diss track would likely put a stop to that.

For Blueface, the next few weeks will likely be filled with dad duties. Moreover, he will have to navigate the complexity of his relationship with both Chrisean and Jaidyn Alexis. Tyrese says that he’s done feuding with his “bro” DJ Envy. In a video posted on Instagram, over the weekend, the singer put his ongoing dispute to rest, admitting that he wants to take the “higher road.”

Tyrese began the clip by showing love to Funk Flex. “I just wanna hop on here and show some love to Funk Flex,” he said. “You my brother, bro. Flex. It’s been the longest week ever. Flex, you’ve been killing my song out here in New York.” He continued: “I told n****s I’m ready for all that smoke with Envy, but I’m throwing up my peace flag. I’m going to make the choice to take the higher road. I just want y’all to know, man. Like, I don’t give a fuck what nobody say. It’s been five years of them going at me on that show.”

The beef between Tyrese and DJ Envy began earlier this month, after the former’s appearance on The Breakfast Club. Envy accused him of being “disrespectful” to his wife, which Tyrese denied having any recollection of. Eventually, Envy brought his wife, Gia, on the show, where she detailed their relationship. “He and I became friends and we were very, very cool and we spoke often. But, for me, it got to a point where it became inappropriate,” she said. “Like, he was extremely demanding of my time and my attention, where, if I didn’t give him my time or my attention, he would get very angry.” She then elaborated: “There was flirting and inappropriate compliments.”
