Ashanti is confirming that she is in a relationship with Nelly. Hitting the VMAs red carpet, Ashanti showed a clutch bag with her and Nelly’s faces.

“We’re in a great space, everything is positive,” Ashanti said. “Having a lot of fun.”

Nelly pulled up on Rasheeda and Kirk Frost and revealed he and Ashanti are officially an item again.

“We cool again,” Nelly said. “It surprised both of us. It wasn’t anything planned. We both were doing what we do. Sometimes being seperate, you understand somebody more. We can all be defensive in our relationships.”

He added, “It’s no pressure. Before I felt we were doing what we were doing career-wise. When you got so many people in the middle, it could be tough.”

Chris Brown Reveals He Has 15,000 Unreleased Songs

Chris Brown Reportedly Welcomes Third Child With Model Diamond Brown

Chris Brown pulled up on Uncle Shannon Sharpe for the Club Shay Shay podcast. Reflecting on his work ethic, Breezy revealed that he has over 15,000 unreleased songs.

The revealtion came after Sharpe asked Brown what was his top three songs he ever done. “It’s so hard with me because just to be honest with you, I have about 15,000 unreleased songs,” Brown said.

He added, “It was a point where I used to stay in the studio like when I was doing a lot of my earlier albums, I had to learn. But I wanna say around the F.A.M.E. album, I was kinda like in my zone. I knew what I wanted.”

Some of those songs may be on the way as Chris Brown is ready to deliver a new album. Hitting Instagram, Chris Brown revealed the album will be titled 11:11 and has a possible album release date of Nov. 11.

Adding in the announcement, Brown revealed the collection would be his 11th album and be limited to just 11 songs.

In the comments, Chris Brown offered a follow-up statement to fans: “I see Some of my die hard fans wanting me to add more songs for the new project and I love y’all for that. But, I just feel I need you all to really miss me and take my art seriously. IM JUST focused on giving y’all the best to digest. 11:11 make a wish.”

Coi Leray has been doing her thing, and Beyoncé has noticed. Sending flowers and a message to Leray, Beyoncé celebrated the work she had been putting in.

“I’m a fan of yours and I love watching you grow,” Beyoncé wrote. “You’re a very talented young lady. Love, Beyoncé.”

Sharing the message on Instagram, Leray wrote: “The queen has spoken .. Thank you for inspiring all of us not only with music but just how you carry yourself with such grace.”

Iconic hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa is gearing up to commemorate the 30th anniversary of their classic fourth album, Very Necessary. On Oct. 20, 2023, fans can dive into the nostalgia with the release of Very Necessary (30th Anniversary Edition) through UMe.

The anniversary edition will be available in various configurations, including a Limited-Edition Deluxe Double LP, 2CD Deluxe, and a Digital Deluxe version. This marks the first time the album will be pressed on 2LP black vinyl and 2CD Deluxe. Listeners can also look forward to special liner notes on the creation of their massive hit, “Shoop,” included in the 2CD Deluxe edition.

With audio remastered in HD, the Limited-Edition Deluxe Double LP offers a treat with four bonus tracks on blue vinyl, featuring a Remix of “Shoop” and two fresh Remixes of “Whatta Man.” The 2CD Deluxe and Digital Deluxe Edition don’t disappoint either, with a total of 13 bonus tracks. These tracks include new originals like “Let’s Talk About AIDS” and “I Am The Body Beautiful,” along with alternate mixes, acapellas, and instrumental tracks.

Very Necessary initially made its mark on Oct. 12, 1993, reaching the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 and achieving quintuple-platinum status by moving over 5 million copies in the U.S. The album spawned hits like “Shoop,” the group’s first Top 5 entry on the Hot 100, and “Whatta Man,” which cracked the Top 3. Their track “None of Your Business” also earned the group a GRAMMY® Award for “Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group.”

Vic Mensa Reveals ‘VICTOR’ Album Features Tracklist

Vic Mensa officially shared an updated tracklist for his forthcoming sophomore album VICTOR (out this Friday). The new project will include features from Omari Hardwick, Jay Electronica, Common, Rapsody, DIXSON, Lekan, Ant Clemons, D Smoke, and Mr. Hudson. Earlier this week, the multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY-nominated rapper/producer also released an additional single from the record titled “LVLN UP” as part of the NFL and Roc Nation’s Songs of the Season initiative through the NFL’s Inspire Change social justice platform. Vic’s song is the newest addition to the multi-tier, season-long initiative that will highlight superstars and emerging artists of all genres. States Vic, ““LVLN UP” is a centerpiece of the VICTOR album. I made it in Ghana using samples of Ebo Taylor, a highlife pioneer from the 60s & 70s that was a contemporary of Fela Kuti. I produced the record and wrote the hook out there, but it wasn’t until I got locked up in early 2022 that I really got the inspiration to complete the record. It’s a super anthemic joint so to have it used in NFL Songs Of The Season works perfectly.” To celebrate the project, Vic Mensa will be hosting an album release event in his hometown of Chicago labeled as the “The Mensa Melee” in which Vic will set up a boxing ring and put on a boxing exhibition soundtracked by the album. Vic and Omari gave fans a first look at the event in the latest trailer shared on Vic’s Instagram account.

Law Enforcement Pause for a Picture After Capturing Escaped Pennsylvania Prisoner

Pennsylvania prison escapee Danelo Cavalcante has been captured and will be arrained for a felony escape charge. Cavalcante will be housed in a state facility “for the foreseeable future.”

According to CNN, Cavalcante was in prison for the murder of his ex-girlfriend in a stabbing. Cavalcante have led law enforcement on a two week manhunt, that have had numerous sightings from residents and the escapee managed to get his hands on a rifle.

After Cavalcante was apprehended, law enforcement took a picture with the man in custody.

Within the search peremiter for Cavalcante, he set off a burgular alarm, resulting in officers and an aircraft moving into the area. Lt. Colonel George Bivens states that aircraft picked up a heat signal around 1:00 a.m., but the searhc was placed on hold due to inclement weather. At 8:00 a.m. the search resumed in the area of the heat source and Cavalcante did not know he was surrounded until they sprung.

Cavalcante atempted to flee under an underbrush but was captured by a police dog and “forcibly taken into custody” with a “minor bite wound.”

“He was transported to our Avondale station for further processing and interview,” Bivens said. “And he will ultimately be transferred to a state correctional institute where he will be housed and begin to serve his life sentence.”

As far as the picture, Bivens says he did not mind as those men and women are “proud of their work.”

Red Bull announced today that GRAMMY® Award-winning diamond-certified producer, DJ, and artist Metro Boomin will take the stage on October 26 in Los Angeles for a historic, one-night-only orchestral concert experience alongside conductor Anthony Parnther and the Symphonic Orchestra. Fans will witness the magic as Metro Boomin reimagines his chart-topping hits, transforming them into awe-inspiring symphonies inside the legendary Dolby Theatre. 

 “I’m very excited to be part of such an amazing music moment with Red Bull,” said Metro Boomin. “I have a deep love and appreciation for orchestral music, which can be heard in many of the records I’ve produced. Sukihana Claps Back At Deelishis With Flavor Flav Diss For VMA Twerk Jab

Twerking has become some a regular practice in what would otherwise be inappropriate situations as it was when reality show regular Sukihana got down on all fours on the red carpet at this year’s VMA and started her rump shake routine. Suki posted a video of her twerk, captioning, “My first @vmas y’all knew who I was when y’all invited me #sukihana #vmas.” 

The problem arose when former “Flavor of Love” star Deelishis criticized Suki’s booty bounce on the red carpet, commenting on her video, “Too many outdoor shoes been on the carpet buttercup.” Sukihana replied to Deelishis, saying, “Girl, you was sleeping with Flavor [Flav} you ain’t scared of nothing.” Sukihana reposted her comment with the caption, “Ate her up.”

Grandmaster Flash, Alicia Keys And More Honored By Black American Music Association’s Inaugural ICE Medal Of Honor

Today, The Black American Music Association and its Board of Directors, led by Co-Founders Michael Mauldin and Demmette Guidry, announces The ICE Medal of Honor inaugural celebration at Atlanta’s prestigious Ray Charles Performing Arts Center at Morehouse College on Sunday, October 15, 2023. This groundbreaking event will be a historic Black tie evening honoring and paying tribute to the legends, creative visionaries, and trailblazers within Black American music, who have captivated audiences worldwide and left an everlasting impact on the cultural landscape.

Among the distinguished recipients of The ICE Medal of Honor are some of the most remarkable names in the industry, including:

  • Alicia Keys – The Ella Fitzgerald “Gold Standard Award”Grandmaster Flash – “Transformative Award”Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis – “Creative Impact Award”Robert F. Smith (Philanthropist) – The Ray Charles/Harry Belafonte “Patron of Arts Award”Suzanne de Passe (Motown Productions’ 1st Black female president) – The Suzanne de Passe “Trailblazer Award”Jeffrey Harleston (Universal Music Group) – Pace/Harrell “Executive Leadership Award”A special salute to the iconic Michael Jackson with the establishment of the Michael Jackson ICON award 

The evening will provide music direction from the incomparable Ray Chew, poetic interpretation of colorful era’s by Marcus Amaker and segment curation by the legendary Wyclef Jean and gospel great Donald Lawrence. Hosted by various A list-celebrity talent, the ICE Medal of Honor seeks to shine a spotlight on the indelible contributions made by artists and executives who have enriched the world with their talents and also paved the way for generations to come. The ICE (Imperial Crown of Excellence) will serve as a beacon of recognition & education of the Black American music art form and an ode to the resilience, innovation, and brilliance of its creatives. 

Executive Producers of the ICE-Medal of Honor are BAM-Association Co-Founders Michael Mauldin & Demmette Guidry, along with Derrick Williams of DNA Media Group and Co-Executive producer Jermaine Dupri (who as Hall of Fame song writer, producer & CEO is celebrating 30 years of So So Def). The program is being produced by Mauldin & Williams and Directed by Kevin Swain.

Starting at 7 pm ET, guests will experience a poetic evening of elegance, music, inspiration, education and celebration of the last 100 years of Black music excellence. Attendees can expect a captivating blend of live performances, heartfelt speeches, moving tributes and authentic storytelling that reflect the profound influence of these music luminaries. 

“We are thrilled to launch the ICE Medal of Honor and to recognize these outstanding individuals who have made an enduring mark on the world through their art and creativity,” said Michael Mauldin, Co-Producer and visionary behind the event. “This celebration is a testament to the power of Black American music in shaping culture and inspiring generations.”
