The Freddie Gibbs and DJ Akademiks war wages on. On his guest appearance on ScHoolboy Q’s “oHio” from the Blue Lips album, Gangsta Gibbs threatens to slap the controversial blogger.

DJ Akademiks had a rough ending to 2023 with sexual assault allegations levied on his name. Freddie Gibbs used the moment to get jabs in on his longtime enemy.

“Let the disrespect be as loud as the disrespect,” Gibbs wrote. “@Akademiks quiet as a church mouse today happy new year U rapist ass bitch.”

In case you missed it, DJ Akademiks’ ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault. During an Instagram Live session, the woman, Ziya Abashae, stated Ak and two of his friends allegedly committed the crime.

According to HipHopDX, a rape kit was conducted, and she shunned the claims by the controversial personality who stated she engaged in an orgy with his friends.

“For you to pretend you didn’t do anything? That I just went to your house, and I’m some thot, like we didn’t know each other for two years,” Abashae said. “You tried to save yourself after your friends assaulted me. Whether or not you got drunk or not, I know that when you woke up, you were on top of me too. You raped me too.”

Additional claims online feature a woman stating that Akademiks engaged in communication with her until she was 18 before he attempted to have sex with her and a video surfacing with a woman screaming in the background.

Jada Pinkett Smith Reflects on Pay Disparity, Says Being Married to Will Smith Caused Lower Offers

Reflecting on Taraji P. Henson’s messages about pay disparity in Hollywood, Jada Pinkett Smith chimed in stating she was shorted due to being married to Will Smith.

Speaking on NPR’s It’s Been a Minute, Pinkett Smith saluted Henson for speaking out, while revealing her own pay battles.

“What people don’t understand with us as Black entertainers, we carry a lot of people with us,” Pinkett Smith said. “People would literally say, ‘Well, you don’t need it. You’re married to Will.’”

Actress Taraji P. Henson went viral in Decemeber after breaking down in tears during an interview with Gayle King about black women’s pay in Hollywood. Taraji talked about the pay disparities for Black female actors and revealed she was considering quitting her acting career. Now Taraji shares she was surprised by the overwhelming support, because she along with other women of color have been talking about this publicly for years to no avail.

Taraji P. Henson was not expecting the amount of support, feedback and attention she has received since passionately speaking out about her experiences with pay disparity throughout her career.

The Color Purple actress walked the red carpet at this years’ Palm Springs International Film Festival’s Film Awards at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Thursday, and she spoke with ET’s Denny Directo about her message, and why she wasn’t expecting it to hit so hard with so many people.

“[It’s] because I’ve been saying it for years,” Henson shared. “If you go and do research and look at any women of color in the industry, they said the same thing.”

“I don’t know why people decided to hear the words [this time], maybe it was the emotion attached to it,” she added. “But like I said in the interview, I’m just tired of us having that same conversation. Something’s gotta give.”

Kanye West Calls for Kim Kardashian to Remove Their Children from Sierra Canyon School

Kanye West hit Instagram to demand his ex-wife pull his children out of Sierra Canyon school in California. Ye says the school is for celebrities that are being used by “the system.”

In the caption, he writes: “At this point everydboy knows what “the system” is code word for [eyes emoji] I was removed from my dad by the system and the system removed me from my children [.] When the system drafts atheltes they avoid work with those who have their father in their life because they are harder to manipulate [.] My two oldest know they daddy”

A source close to Kardashian tells Page Six that she is over Ye’s antics, citing Sierra Canyon as a “fantastic school” offering her four children “consistency.”

“Kim has never kept the kids from their dad,” the source said, adding he is “hardly around” and goes month without seeing his kids.

The source also said, “[West] does not have a consistent home base, which emphasizes the importance of consistency for the kids in LA where they live. She will always stand firm on what is best for them.”

Jam Master Jay’s Family Celebrates Justice in Statement Following Conviction of Murder Suspects

The family of Jam Master Jay is speaking out after two men were found guilty of murdering the Run-DMC icon.

The family, via Jay’s son TJ Mizell, released a statement to Billboard:

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the prosecutors, law enforcement officials and all involved in bringing these individuals to justice. Their unwavering dedication has ensured a measure of accountability for the tragic loss of Jam Master Jay. As we pause to reflect, we are reminded of the profound impact and influence Jay had on countless lives. His legacy endures through his music, his spirit and the cherished memories we hold dear. We remain committed to honoring his memory and celebrating the enduring legacy he leaves behind.

To all who have supported us throughout this challenging journey, we offer our heartfelt thanks. Your love, kindness, and steadfast support have been a source of strength during our darkest moments. We ask that you continue to honor Jay’s memory through his music and the positive impact he made on the world. While the pain of our loss will always remain, we find solace in the knowledge that justice has been served. Jam Master Jay’s godson, Karl Jordan Jr., was found guilty of shooting and killing the famed Run-DMC member by a federal jury. In addition, Ronald Washington, a longtime friend of Jay, participated in the murder after being left out of a cocaine deal.

According to Billboard, the verdict concludes a three-week trial. Jordan and Washington were charged with Jay’s murder in 2020.

There was just one witness used in the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Artie McConnell stated that the “case is not complicated.” He added, “It’s about greed, it’s about money, it’s about jealousy.”

Jordan and Washington now face a minimum of 20 years in prison.

“More than two decades after they killed Jason Mizell in his recording studio, Jordan and Washington have finally been held accountable for their cold-blooded crime driven by greed and revenge,” U.S. Attorney Breon Peace said.

Prosecutors allege Jay turned to drug dealing after Run-DMC’s popularity faded, teaming with Washington and Jordan in the deals. A third man charged, Jay Bryant, will have a separate charge later in 2024.

In the latest lawsuit against Diddy, a homosexual relationship was described with details that would hint toward Meek Mill being involved. As reactions spread across social media, Meek addressed fans while engaging in back-and-forths with Andrew Tate and Akademiks.

In the lawsuit, filed by producer Rodney Jones, there was the detail, “Mr. Combs informed Mr. Jones that he had engaged in sexual intercourse with rapper (REDACTED).” Included in the doc was a footnote, citing, “He is a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” Two plus two equals Meek Mill.

Meek hit X with a response to Akademiks, who created a video reacting to the Mill reveal: “I can’t wait to meet akademiks lol they know I drop tomar this they damage control this net getting too weird.”

He would go on to state “the same thing they almost tricked yall with lil baby,” hinting at a homosexual rumor for the rapper.

While promoting his upcoming release, Meek continued to tear into Akademiks, citing this is the work of executives trying to hinder an independent artist.

Kanye West and Bianca Censori are currently in France for Paris Fashion Week. While leaving The Ritz on Wednesday, the adoring crowd outside supported Ye, chanting “F*ck Adidas.”

During the moment, Ye riled up the crowd to be louder and even signed an autograph.

Kanye West is not here for the sale of the new Yeezys. After the brand announced a new stock drop at the end of the month, Kanye hit the net with a message, stating he was sued.

“Not only are they putting out fake colorways that are not approved, they are suing me for $250 million,” Ye said. “And they also not paying me for these shoes they are putting out that has my name on it.

“They are using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist – one of y’all favorite artists – right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

According to Complex, Adidas announced the remaining release of its Yeezy stock on Feb. 29. The “Steel Grey” Yeezy Boost 350 V2 will be available for $230 by using the Confirmed app, Adidas app, or Adidas.com.

Adidas also teased additional sneakers, showing an image with silhouettes of the Yeezy Foam Runner, the Yeezy 500, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2, and the Yeezy Slides.

Meanwhile, Kanye West delivered a message to fans to not buy them. “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys [.] I never made these color ways [.] I’m not getting paid off of them and adidas is suing me.”

In Sept. 2023, Ye received words of support from Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. In an interview, Gulden stated he doesn’t believe Kanye West is a bad person.

“And then as creative people he did some statements which wasn’t that good,” Gulden said. “And that caused Adi to break the contract and withdraw the product. Very unfortunate because I don’t think he meant what he said and I don’t think he’s a bad person it just came across that way.

“That meant we lost that business. One of the most successful collabs in history — very said. But again, when you work with third parties that can happen. It’s part of the game.”

Adidas reports a revenue of $437 million in the first release of leftover Yeezy sneakers from their nixed deal with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West. The first run of shoes hit online in June, selling out. The second run began to sell on Wednesday.

The sale of the sneakers was the efforts to empty their inventory responsibly. After the first launch, CEO Bjørn Gulden said, “We will continue to carefully sell off more of the existing Yeezy inventory,”

Adidas has also announced the donation of over 10 million euros to groups like the Anti-Defamation League, the Philonise & Keeta Floyd Institute for Social Change, and Robert Kraft’s Foundation to Combat Antisemitism.

According to Billboard, 20% to 25% of the stock was unloaded in the first sale.
