Rihanna & ASAP Rocky Dress To Impress For NYC Date Night

ASAP Rocky and Rihanna never fail to flex their power couple status, and their latest date night was certainly no exception. Recently, the pair was spotted out and about in New York City, unsurprisingly dressed to impress. ASAP Rocky rocked a crisp navy blue suit, which a complemented with a pair of dark shades. As for RiRi, she stunned in a satiny button-up top and some distressed jeans. She topped off her looks with various sparkling silver accessories, heels, and a fun braided updo.

At the time of writing, it remains unclear exactly what the duo was up to during their night out, but it’s far from the first time they set couple goals. Earlier this month, for example, they debuted matching “1988” tattoos. Rihanna’s is on her ankle while ASAP Rocky’s is on his back, and the ink marks the year they were both born.

Last month, Rihanna also hinted at possibly expanding their family during a chat with ET in June. They already share two sons, RZA and Riot Rose. The hitmaker revealed that she’s looking forward to welcoming more children with the rapper, though she took the opportunity to clarify that she’s not expecting at the moment. “You know what, I hope so,” she said about having more kids. “I’m not pregnant if that’s what you’re asking.”

After all, both of them have been keeping busy as of late, with music and their other endeavors. They have new albums in the works, and Rihanna also just launched Fenty Hair. While RiRi’s next project doesn’t have an official release date yet, Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb is expected to drop on August 30. Fortunately, they didn’t appear to have any issues this time around, despite Censori going pantsless. Amid all of this, Ye’s been keeping it pretty casual. He was seen in a pair of black sweatpants and a matching hoodie on their latest excursion. Nicki Minaj & Pop Smoke’s Mothers Spotted At A Queens Fashion Show Together

The mothers of Nicki Minaj and the late Pop Smoke appear to be friendly. At a recent fashion show in Queens, the two entered the venue together, looking stylish as they did. Fans remarked that Minaj’s mother looked just like her. “Well, we know what Nicki will look like when she’s older. They are twins,” said one Instagram user.

Pop Smoke and Nicki Minaj are both from New York City, and both grew into very popular hip-hop acts. Minaj was raised in Queens, coming from Trinidad & Tobago when she was five years old. Pop Smoke was born and raised in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. Hip-hop fans considered Pop Smoke to be the heir apparent to 50 Cent. 50 was even the executive producer of Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, Pop’s debut album, which was released posthumously after he was tragically murdered in Los Angeles. It is unclear how close Minaj and Pop were during the latter’s life, but she paid tribute to him after his death.

Nicki Minaj has been on tour for Pink Friday 2 since March. The rapper has been in the middle of several controversies this year. In January, Megan addressed her and her husband on “Hiss,” after a years-long cold war that’s also included fellow New York rapper Cardi B. Minaj responded with “Big Foot,” which fans and critics alike panned. Fans were quick to begin discussions about its place among the worst diss tracks of all time. Dutch authorities also arrested her in The Netherlands while she was on tour, though she was quickly released.

Despite those setbacks, the Pink Friday 2 tour has been largely successful for Minaj. Through the first 45 shows, it grossed nearly $82 million. That makes it the highest-grossing tour for a female rapper ever and the sixth-highest grossing tour for a rapper. The third leg of her tour starts in September, with a return to the United States for the remaining dates. Pop Smoke’s family is adamant that no more posthumous music is on the way. Regardless, it’s very nice to see the mothers of two modern New York City legends get along.

Angela Simmons Issues Second Apology For Gun Purse At BET Awards

Angela Simmons has had a rough 48 hours. The reality star turned heads at the BET Awards when she brought a bedazzled gun purse onto the red carpet. She not only showed off the gun purse, but posed with it as though it was actually a gun. She aimed it at photographers, which didn’t go over well, to say the least. Simmons was criticized for her fashion choice, and tried to quiet the situation by issuing an apology video. Evidently, the reality felt that more needed to be said.

Angela Simmons posted a lengthy written apology to Instagram on July 1. She explained her reasoning for bringing out the gun purse, and acknowledged why it may not have been a great idea in retrospect. “I deeply regret that this item, which symbolizes a gun, was inappropriate and insensitive,” she wrote over a black background. “Especially given my personal and community experiences with gun violence.” She claimed that she merely intended for the purse to “amplify” her beauty, but now views the accessory as a “bad decision.”

Simmons didn’t stop there. She then detailed the ways in which gun violence has impacted her life. “I have personally lost my partner, the father of my child, to gun violence,” she added. “I have witnessed its devastating impact on my community in Southeast Queens.” From there, Angela Simmons listed the ways in which she has fought gun violence. “My work with Erica Ford,” she explained. “And my own organization that creates programs to reduce gun violence and helps those directly impacted by the pandemic, have always been about making peace a lifestyle.”

The reality star wrapped up her statement by restating her apology. “I ask for your understanding and forgiveness,” she wrote. “And I hope that you can accept my sincere apology.” She referred to the gun purse as a “misstep” and promised that she would not let it impact the positive work she’s done. “I will not allow it to define my moral compass,” she subsequently wrote. “Or my commitment to promoting peace and ending gun violence.”

In a new interview on the Korty EO YouTube channel, Tems opened up about some of the challenges she has faced as a woman in the industry. For instance, she noted that some men become distracted by her in the studio. Overall, she finds this gets in the way of her achieving her goal of making great music. As a result, she has decided to only wear baggy clothes when recording songs. “I want you to not be seduced by me,” she explained.

He was far from the only person with a negative reaction to the campaign. Other fans voiced their displeasure in the comments section as well. “I will NEVER purchase your products again!!!!” one particularly angry user wrote. “Who do you think your target market is!! How offensive to women!!!! To use a gay man to promote women products!!!! So sick of it!!!!” Another commented: “Gonna have to delete all his music now.”
