Fabolous Takes Drake’s Challenge To Heart, Spits On “Scary Hours 3” Beat

When Drake challenged other rappers to tackle his Scary Hours 3 tracks by dropping the instrumentals, he probably expected a couple of smaller MCs to step up to the plate, and maybe a titan or two. Well, for that last category, none other than Fabolous came through with a sharp freestyle over one of these beats, and it’s unsurprisingly quite good. It’s nothing wild- after all, it’s only a simple freestyle- but his charisma and ability to deliver with such conviction carries this to a solidly satisfying set of bars. Moreover, the Brooklyn rapper showed off his brand-new Benz truck for his birthday, making it as opulent as Drizzy would want a freestyle over one of his beats to be.

“New truck, but I been driven,” Fabolous raps over the instrumental for “Evil Ways,” a freestyle that he uploaded just a day after Drake dropped the Scary Hours 3 beats. “Pull up and turn your Friendsgiving to a Benzgiving, told my b***h what is givings, what has been given. I gotta move in where we been livin’, that Brooklyn boy ain’t gon’ play with them boys, that’s word to Ben Simmons.” Check out the new set of bars down below.

Fabolous Raps Over Drake & J. Cole’s “Evil Ways” Beat: Watch

Even though the 46-year-old’s career peak probably passed a little while ago, don’t let that fool you into thinking he took his foot off the gas. Just recently, Ne-Yo tapped him for the remix of his single “Link Up,” and he dropped plenty of other great verses over the years. Maybe the response to this brief “Evil Ways” freestyle will inspire Fabolous to drop a mixtape and tackle more beats at length. Regardless, if Drake isn’t going to respond to these challenges and give praise, then maybe they should trade some bars instead.

Jokes aside, Loso knows how indelible, influential, and acclaimed his legacy is, and will take some time to make sure folks preserve it well. For example, he recently clowned a mural featuring him and a couple of other New York rappers that wasn’t really up to par with the quality standards he keeps. When it comes to wax, Fabolous makes sure that what he drops is worth it. For more news and the latest updates on Fab and Drake, check back in with HNHH.

Drake & J. Cole Do It Again With “Evil Ways”

Drake surprised everyone yesterday early in the morning as he revealed that he would be dropping a new 6-track EP. Scary Hours 3 is essentially a deluxe version of For All The Dogs. As Drizzy previewed, this was going to be a project with bars only. In the eyes of many, FATD had too much singing and too many slow tracks. People wanted Drake to drop some bars and give fans his best work to date. Well, he heard those comments and decided to show the world he’s still got it.

If you have listened to Scary Hours 3, you know that he is really doing his thing on this project. There are some incredible verses and the instrumentals are hitting. There is even a song with J. Cole called “Evil Ways” that acts as a spiritual successor to the song “First Person Shooter.” Overall, these two always come through with dope collaborations, and this is yet another example of that. Below, you can listen to the song in full.

Drake Is RAPPING Rapping

There are no hooks to be found here. Instead, Drake and Cole can be heard trading bars and going back and forth. It is a perfect dynamic and they do this style extremely well. At this point, a collaborative album might just be a possibility. However, one could say Drake deserves a break right about now.

Overall, this is a great track and it is an example of just how hungry Drake still is at this age. Let us know what you think of the song, in the comments section down below. Quotable Lyrics:

And now my paper folded like when teachers don’t want classmates to see your grade
Time is speedin’ now, I see the greys pokin’ out this beard, but it’s weird ’cause I feel like I ain’t even age (Yeah)
Y’all seize the rage, feet firmly planted for these precious flowers I’ve been handed, watch me be the vase

Drake And J. Cole Revel In Their ‘Evil Ways’ On Their New Collaboration

Drake and J. Cole are keeping the hype going for their upcoming It’s All A Blur — Big As The What? Tour. Tonight (November 17), Drake dropped an extended version of his eighth studio album, For All The Dogs called The Scary Hours Edition. This updated version of the album serves as the third installation of Drake’s Scary Hours EP series.

The new collection features “Evil Ways,” a pumped-up, energetic new collaboration between Cole and Drizzy. On the song, the two heavy hitters go bar-for-bar, reflecting on their respective journeys to the top of the rap game.

Drake opens the song, running through his impressive resume, reminding everyone that he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.

“I got some evil ways / Even through the glasses, you can see the gaze / To find your way up to the top, this shit gon’ be a maze / Vogue’s swaggin’, sh*t the way, I’m runnin’ Beatles’ place,” raps Drake.

Cole then reflects on his career, reiterating the fact that he didn’t have to play any Hollywood games to earn GOAT status.

“I conquered hell, I walked the villain, set my feet ablaze / My heart harder every year likе sneakers that Adidas made / I nеver did the VMAs, I’m not in need of praise,” raps Cole.

Last month, Drake dropped the Cole collaboration “First Person Shooter” from the standard edition of For All The Dogs. The song reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it Cole’s first-ever No. 1 on the chart.

You can listen to “Evil Ways” above.
