Statik Selektah Details Scary Emergency Room Trip, 2 Chainz, Fat Joe, & More Respond

Statik Selektah has announced that he was rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery, last week, and is currently recovering. He detailed the situation in a post on Instagram, on Sunday, while sharing a picture of himself with an oxygen tube in place. Many artists and fans shared supportive messages in the comments section in response.

“Rush into to have an emergency 1 hour surgery … 2 days later,” Selektah wrote. “Life gets complicated. I’m good now breathing on my own & will be back on the streets in a sec. Thanks for the love from everyone. Can’t reply to each of you so if you’re seeing this thank you. Happy to be here. [prayer hands emoji, purple heart emoji] (ps thanks to @mama_selektah holding me down since day 1). Love yours. Not gone lie, i seen that light house a few times in the last 24 hours while i was under & a whole buncha other sh*t I’ll never forget.”

Nick Cannon Gives Jamie Foxx Update

The sudden hospitalization of Jamie Foxx while filming his Back In Action Netflix action-comedy flick shocked the pop culture world. Since news of his “medical complications” broke, fans and celebrities alike poured out prayers and words of sympathy and support for the Collateral actor. Most recently, Nick Cannon was the latest media figure to provide fans with an update on Foxx’s stable status. Moreover, he spoke to Entertainment Tonight briefly, and confirmed news of the star’s steadily improving health. Also, he hinted at a special surprise he has planned for Foxx but didn’t specify what it was.

“Man, I’m praying” Nick Cannon told ET. “You see, I posted on Instagram. I literally have been saying prayers out loud. Words of affirmation for my big brother, I know he’s doing so much better. I’m actually about to do something special for him, and doing him a favor. I can’t really say what it is, but it’ll be out there soon. I was reluctant to go all the way there, and even talk about it, but he gave me the blessing, so it’s a beautiful thing. He’s awake. They say he’s alert, so, we love it.”

Furthermore, Martin Lawrence offered similarly comforting words on Jamie Foxx’s condition. While at his Hollywood Walk of Fame reveal ceremony, Lawrence told Extra that the 55-year-old is recovering well. “Well, I hear he’s doing better,” the Bad Boys star remarked. “My prayers go out for him every night, and just wishing the best for him. [He’s] one of the best that we got in Hollywood, not only one of the best entertainers but a good person.”

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx has seen nothing short of incredible support online following his hospitalization. Damar Hamlin Speaks For First Time Since Field Emergency

Damar Hamlin spoke on camera recently for the first time since his emergency incident during a game. While he already updated fans on his state a couple of times, a new Instagram video shares his appreciation. Overall, the Buffalo Bills safety gave a touching statement on his well-being.

After he sat down in front of a camera, Hamlin graced fans with his voice for the first time in a while.

Damar Hamlin’s Statement

“Now that my brothers have closed out a strong winning season,” he began. “As I continue to make so much progress recovering, I think it’s finally a good time to share a few things. I think it was important for me to wait and speak publicly at the right time, as it was just a lot to process within my own self. Mentally, physically, even spiritually, it’s just been a lot to process. But I can’t tell you how appreciative I am of all the love, all the support, and everything that’s just been coming in my way.

“What happened to me on Monday Night Football I feel is a direct example of God using me as a vessel to share my passion and my love directly from my heart with the entire world. I’m able to give it to kids and communities all across the world who need it the most, and that’s always been my dream. That’s always been what I stood for and what I’ll continue to stand for.”

Later, the Bills star went on to thank the medical teams at the Bills organization, the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and Buffalo General Hospital. Also, he thanked his mom, dad, little brother, and friends and family for their unwavering presence. While Hamlin processed a lot in a short time, he thanked people from every corner of his recovery. Moreover, he thanked his teammates, NFL fans, and many others.
