Gabrielle Union Fires Back At Troll Who Criticized Her Bikini Pictures

Gabrielle Union called out a troll online who complained about her continuing to post bikini pictures into her 50s. She addressed the incident during an appearance on the Who What Wear with Hillary Kerr podcast, last week. Union remarked that she’ll never get too old to show off her body and she’ll one day have her “ass up in the casket.”

“Somebody said, ‘You’re old enough to be somebody’s grandma, why are you still in — like wearing swimsuits?’” Union said. “I’m like, ‘First of all, they’re not just swimsuits. They are thongs. And you’re gonna see these cheeks until my ass literally falls off, and I might just wear a bikini in the casket.”

“I don’t know. That just might be for you, for that one commenter … This is for you bitch …It’s just gonna be like, me in a thong, like, ass-up in the casket,” she further joked. From there, Union discussed aging as a celebrity more broadly. She says that people make women feel “invisible” once they hit a certain age.

“At 35, they start treating you like you’ve got osteoporosis. You start becoming invisible and it’s a weird, empty feeling to feel like you’re disappearing in front of your own eyes,” Gabrielle shared. “You start taking on the same attitude as [a] society that believes that you lack value.”

Claim you, whether it’s you fall in love with a younger dude… you love you more than anybody else loves you.” Union is currently married to former NBA star, Dwyane Wade.

Dwyane Wade to Incoming NBA Rookies: ‘Take in the Moment’

dw

The lives of 60 young men will change tonight when they are picked up in the NBA Draft. One NBA legend, Dwyane Wade, had advice for the young hoops stars when he encountered TMZ Sports.

“Take in the moment, it goes fast. You only get one draft,” Wade said. He also offered some monetary advice.

“Try to get you somebody in your life that really knows finances,” Wade said. “Somebody who, hopefully, you can build a relationship with. Hopefully, you can build a trust with eventually.”

That last one is a big fact as money will come fast and in large amounts. You can hear it from Wade below.

Dwyane Wade Gives NBA Draftees Some Crucial Advice

Dwayne Wade is one of the greatest players to ever set foot on an NBA court. After a standout career at Marquette, including a Final Four run in 2003, Wade was drafted fifth overall by the Heat. That’s where he spent most of his career, winning three NBA titles. His jersey was retired following his 2019 retirement and he will absolutely be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when eligible.

Wade made nearly $200 million from his NBA contracts alone, including $2.6 million in his rookie year. As players get better and better, and the NBA gets more and more lucrative, young players are having million of dollars thrust upon them. This can be overwhelming and lead to regrettable choices. However, Wade was on had in a recent interview to provide some advice about how rookies should handle their money.

Dwyane Wade Gives Financial Advice To NBA Rookies

Approached by TMZ ahead of the draft, Wade dished out his top advice for anyone hoping to get drafted. “Take in the moment, it goes fast. You only get one draft,” Wade began. When the TMZ interviewer asked what financial advice he had, Wade merely replied that he wasn’t a financial advisor. However, he did also provide a little more advice when pressed. “Try to get you somebody in your life that really knows finances,” Wade said. “Somebody who, hopefully, you can build a relationship with. Hopefully, you can build a trust with eventually.”

The 2023 NBA Draft begins at 8pm ET on June 22. The San Antonio Spurs are expected to take generational talent Victor Wembanyama first overall. Despite rumors that they might trade back, at the time of writing, it seems as if the Hornets and Blazers will also take places at the two and three spots. Some draft picks have traded hands in recent days, however. The Boston Celtics will pick at #25 after acquiring the pick from Memphis. Meanwhile, the Nuggets traded back into the first round in a deal with the Pacers. Follow all the latest NBA news here at HotNewHipHop.

Gabrielle Union Elaborates On Splitting Finances 50/50 With Dwyane Wade

Gabrielle Union has elaborated on her recent comments about splitting family finances 50/50 with her husband, Dwyane Wade. In a comment on Instagram, she explained that she and the former NBA star have found their “peace.” Union previously discussed how they manage their money during an interview with Noah Callahan-Bever on his Bloomberg Originals series, Idea Generation.

“Every household is different and doing what’s best for you and yours is the key,” she wrote. “And what some don’t understand is that I’m 100% responsible for 3 other households and D has even more. The majority of those households are elderly ppl and minors. We both come from families that step up to help care for children or elderly relatives. So being able to be with someone who meets me half way and lightens my load gives me peace and support. He’s offered to cover me trust, but that’s not my ministry nor brings me peace. All that to say, I love how we recognize that there’s billions of ways to exist and you just gotta find what’s right for you that brings YOU peace. I found mine.”

As for her original comments, Union told Callahan-Bever: “I struggle with that. I think I just have more responsibilities for my money. So I get nervous like, ‘Oh my God that movie didn’t open [well]. What does that mean? Am I going to have enough to hold everybody up? And everyone’s like, ‘It’s coming. Calm down.’ I’m trying to find peace in the journey, not using my anxiety and scarcity mindset to be my engine, which is hard.”

“In this household, we split everything 50/50,” she added. “But in the other households that each of us have to support, there’s always this gorilla on your back that’s like, ‘You better work! You’re going to sleep in? Somebody might not eat.’ It’s hard. It’s hard to let that go, so I’m working on it.”

Gabrielle Union Discusses Her Finances

During the course of his NBA career, Wade earned nearly $200 million from his player salaries. Union, in addition, has starred in dozens of feature films over the years including She’s All That, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Bring It On.

Gabrielle Union & Dwyane Wade Split Bills 50/50, She Admits To Financial Security Struggles

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have long been one of Hollywood’s favourite couples. From speculating about their life in the bedroom together to praising the way they parent the athlete’s transgender daughter, Zaya, the pair has cemented their status as #CoupleGoals. Never one to shy away from being candid about her personal life, the Bring It On starlet recently sat down with Bloomberg to discuss an unusually taboo topic – money. Seeing as she and Wade have both made a name for themselves in their respective industry, it’s easy enough to assume their set for life. According to Gabrielle, however, that’s not exactly the case.

While she’s certainly gone through tremendous growth over the years, Union is open in sharing that she still deals with financial anxiety. The outlet asked her, “When did you develop your first sense of [monetary] security?” to which she answered, “I still struggle with that. I have more responsibilities for my money.” The mother of one said that there have been times when she’s stressed over whether a movie role will open or not, seeing as she has so many people to take care of outside of her own husband and kids. Thankfully, being able to split costs with Wade 50/50 has been an immense help for Gabrielle.

Gabrielle Union Gets Real About Money

She’s certainly grateful for the luxurious life her star status affords her, but still, the 50-year-old knows that if she’s not working, “somebody ain’t gone eat.” Even with all the success she has in front of her, Union feels fear about the potential of the “rug [being] pulled from under her” unexpectedly, leaving her in a state of financial ruin, or unable to take care of loved ones.

Elsewhere in her discussion, Gabrielle discussed her endeavours in activism, as well as converting her career success into multimillion-dollar brands. Prior to becoming the household name we know her as now, she spent several years struggling to make it in Los Angeles. After plenty of perseverance, she proudly displays movie star, film producer, and author on her professional resume.

Dwyane Wade & Grant Hill Reportedly Being Considered For Senate Races

Dwyane Wade is someone who has been thrust into the political limelight. Overall, this isn’t necessarily because he wants to get into politics. It’s actually because he is a good father to his transgender daughter Zaya. D-Wade and Gabrielle Union have been accepting of her identity, which has subsequently led to criticism. Additionally, the Wade’s have decided to leave Florida due to the anti-trans laws that plague the state.

However, Wade could be coaxed back to Florida as he is now being considered as a potential Senate candidate. According to Uproxx, there are various Democratic donors and officials who think a big name like Wade could challenge Rick Scott in the Senate. Although this feels like a long shot, there are some people out there who want to see this happen. If anything, Wade could help pass legislation that is more favorable towards trans people.

“Dwyane Wade is a Florida legend, whose leadership past and present has a lot of folks in our state sending feelers out,” Democratic donor Ray Paultre said. “We have seen former athletes, in both parties, bring something special to the political landscape. He hasn’t been officially approached, but he is on the list of four or five dream candidates to challenge Rick Scott.” Moreover, there is also some fanfare around Grant Hill. One donor even said that the former NBA player could raise a whole lot of money.

It isn’t like it would be the first time that celebrities have ran for some type of office. However, neither Hill nor Dwyane Wade have actually voiced any intentions to run. For now, some donors are simply thinking about how they can win back Florida, which has become more right-wing than ever before. Let us know what you would think of a D-Wade or Grant Hill Senate run, in the comments section below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from the sports world.

Gabrielle Union Reacts To Twitter Speculation About Her & Dwyane Wade’s Sex Life

Whether they like it or not, many celebrity couples today often find the most intimate details of their lives up for debate on the internet. Earlier this weekend, a post went viral asking users to pick between three famous couples to spend an evening with – after signing an NDA, of course. The options were Megan Thee Stallion and Pardison Fontaine, Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert, and finally, Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade. The latter pair was an undeniably popular pick. However, the Bring It On starlet made it known that she and her husband may not be as freaky as everyone thinks.

“Not us,” she quote tweeted the original upload. “Y’all ’bout to be watching a lot of ‘Lakefront Bargain’ on HGTV. My back hurts just reading this,” Union added, earning her plenty of laughs. She may be 50 now, but the mother of one’s fantastic physique still has plenty of social media users lusting after her. Of course, there’s also her super handsome athlete husband.

Gabrielle Union’s Online Antics

As expected, Union’s response brought in plenty of comedic reactions. “Oh now we definitely choosing y’all,” someone wrote alongside a SpongeBob GIF. It finds the lead character and his pal Patrick Star slumped over on the couch watching TV and eating snacks. “You really said, ‘Pick somebody else!” another user chimed in. They obviously caught onto the Nebraska-born starlet’s obvious reluctance to have her sex life dissected by strangers.

“As long as we change to Food Network when ‘House Hunters International’ comes on because my blood pressure can’t take that show,” one more funny response reads. Besides entertaining fans on Twitter, the Hollywood icon also shared content on Instagram earlier this weekend, giving us a wholesome sneak peek into her Good Friday, spent with Dwyane and his daughter, Zaya Wade. Elsewhere, the couple was photographed soaking up the sun at a Miami beach together. Keep scrolling for more Twitter reactions to Gabrielle Union’s response, and let us know which of the three couples you would spend a night with in the comments.

Easter long weekend is finally upon us, and that means that plenty of celebrities are spending time with their loved ones. Among those chiefly in the festive spirit right now are Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade, who spent their Good Friday in the company of each other and their beautiful children. Yesterday (April 7), the Bring It On actress dropped off a photo dump with her clan, making sure to let her followers know exactly what she’s grateful for this holiday season. “Making this Friday a good one🖤,” her caption reads, the Instagram carousel kicking off with a sweet hug between Union and her partner.

Following that, the 50-year-old included a current favourite quote. “Not a soul in this world can take away what destiny has your name written on,” it states. Elsewhere we see the rumoured “Black Hollywood mean girl” showing off the luscious green view surrounding her, the clip ending in a surprise appearance from her step-daughter, Zaya Wade. The young transgender icon also appears in some photos with Union, as does her father. To end the post off, she shared a video taking in the sunset via a car’s passenger seat mirror, Beyoncé’s “Love On Top” loudly blasting in the background.

Union-Wade Family Celebrates Good Friday

As Page Six reports, that’s not all the Union-Wade’s had in store for their outdoor activities this long weekend. Gabrielle and Dwyane were captured on camera by paparazzi yesterday, splashing around at a beach in Miami. The mother of one looked undeniably amazing in her tiny yellow bikini, which markedly showed off her toned abs and glowing skin. For the athlete’s part, he donned white swim trunks and a black hat, both parents adding shades to their looks to protect their eyes from the bright Florida sun.

Aside from showing gratitude for and spending time with her loved ones recently, the Nebraska native has also been showing support for the LSU Women’s Basketball team. They recently took home their first title in the program’s history, earning them all the flowers from sports fanatics across the country. Dwyane Wade Celebrates Entering Hall Of Fame With Heartfelt Post

Dwyane Wade has always been a player who has let his basketball speak for itself. A well-regarded figure both on and off the court, Wade truly left his mark on the NBA. During a 16-year career, Wade was a three-time champion, and 13-time All-Star. Wade is also 32nd on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, with 23,165 career points. He is perhaps best remembered for his role in the “Big Three” alongside Chris Bosh and Lebron James. Wade was seen as a no-doubt first-ballot Hall of Famer upon his retirement. However, Wade remained active in basketball following his retirement, buying a minority sh in the Utah Jazz in 2021. Wade went as far as to call then-Jazz star Donovan Mitchell “Dwyane Wade 2.0”.

Wade was officially named a Hall of Famer last week. However, he also has the distinction of being part of one of the all-time greatest Hall of Fame classes. Wade enters the Hall alongside legends such as Pau Gasol, Dirk Nowitzki, Tony Parker, Gregg Popovich, and Becky Hammon. Other inductees included the late Jim Valvano and the 1976 Women’s Olympic Basketball Team. There are few single-year Hall of Fame classes that truly compete with those entering the Hall this year.

“Basketball Heaven”

Wade celebrated his induction on Instagram, posting a bevy of photos with the simple caption “I’m both humbled and honored to have made it to basketball heaven.” The photos he included see Wade embracing his collegiate coach Shaka Smart; posing with Julius Erving; sharing a laugh with Gasol, Parker, and Nowitzski; and finally, a picture posing with Magic Johnson. The collection showcased the full scope of Dwyane Wade’s career, from his time at Marquette to his dominance in the NBA. Marquette retired Wade’s number 3 jersey in 2006. The Heat retired the same number in 2020.

Wade’s simple but heartfelt message has garnered nearly 96,000 likes, speaking to the immense popularity of one of modern basketball’s brightest stars. Fans across social media offered their congratulations to Wade upon his official announcement on April 1. Wade, alongside his fellow 2023 classmates, will be officially inducted into the Hall during the weekend of August 11th. Let us know what you think of his induction, in the comments down below.
