Quando Rondo Arrested On Federal Drug Charges: Report

According to WJCL, the FBI arrested Quando Rondo on federal drug charges on Friday (December 8). Moreover, an agency spokesperson told the outlet that police in Savannah, Georgia– his hometown– pulled over a vehicle at Burroughs Street and 37th Street around midnight. Reports indicate that they only arrested the rapper, who was the passenger, and that this occurred without incident. Rondo, real name Tyquian Bowman, just recently dodged a ban from his home of Chatham County, so this is just the latest in a troublesome and unfortunate series of legal issues for him. Not much else emerged about his current condition or response to this development at press time.

Furthermore, this arrest comes about six months after authorities indicted Quando Rondo and 18 other individuals on state drug and gang charges. Specifically, he faced accusations of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act by allegedly managing the Rollin’ 60’s gang in the area. Not only that, but the Never Broke Again affiliate also received charges for supposedly using communication illegally, as he allegedly used a phone to organize the sale of marijuana. As such, while this case went quiet for a little bit following his release on bond, it seems like prosecutors still want to take it to court with more evidence.

Britney Spears Chose This Drug During Her Party Days In The 2000s

Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir The Woman In Me, releasing October 24, will reveal a lot of personal reflections and anecdotes from the pop star’s turbulent, often scrutinized, but frankly misunderstood life. Moreover, Page Six reportedly obtained an excerpt from it which allegedly details her drug of choice during her 2000s party days. The media compared the music diva’s public persona during this time to other party icons of the time like Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton. However, she maintains that things were never as extreme as the press made them out to be. As for her preferred substance on a night out, the Mississippi native confessed that it was the ADHD medication Adderall.

“It was never as wild as the press made it out to be,” Britney Spears reportedly wrote in her new book, according to The New York Times. While she says she “never had a drinking problem” and didn’t partake in hard drugs, she expressed that Adderall was the one to break that rule. “[It] made me high, yes, but what I found far more appealing was that it gave me a few hours of feeling less depressed,” the “Toxic” singer remarked. This confession is particularly interesting because, last year, she claimed that her mother physically attacked her for being out too late with Lohan and Hilton.

“The first time I ever got slapped was the one night Paris and Lindsay dropped me off at my beach house with my babies,” Britney Spears wrote. She deleted the October 2022 Instagram post shortly after. “My mother was watching [my sons] Jayden and Preston. Yes I partied till like 4am. My mother [got] PISSED !!!! I walked in, she looked at me and hit me so hard that I will never forget it !!!” While Lynne Spears didn’t address this accusation, she issued a public apology a few days before it for the “pain” she caused her daughter during her 13-year conservatorship.

Elsewhere in the memoir, the 41-year-old also commented on her breakup with Justin Timberlake. Since all we have to confirm this are reports from alleged excerpts, we’ll have more concrete details when the book comes out. Surely this isn’t the last of the bombshells. Chance The Rapper Reflects On How Drug-Fueled Lifestyle Could’ve Killed Him

Chance The Rapper’s seminal mixtape Acid Rap is one of the most beloved mixtapes of the 2010s decade, whether you ask Chance fans or hip-hop heads at large. However, that era also represented a dark time for the Chicago star. Moreover, he recently spoke to Complex and reflected on his heavy drug use at the time, which he believes would’ve killed him if he continued down that path. As the project celebrates its tenth anniversary, this context sheds a dark light on an otherwise bright start to his mainstream success. As a treat to fans, he will perform an anniversary concert at Chicago’s United Center on August 19.

Still, such celebration is underscored by the 30-year-old’s reflections on his personal struggles. “I probably would have died,” Chance The Rapper remarked to the publication. “Definitely, the way that I was living at that time. I had everything in excess. Right after I dropped the project, I went on a few tours where I really didn’t make any money. Then I went on my first tour, my headlining tour, where I made some money.”

Chance The Rapper Reflects On His Heavy Drug Use

After that monetary boost, the “Same Drugs” artist said that he went through a lot of changes in his personal life. Despite his burgeoning success, he said that drugs followed him along the way. “I went and rented a crib,” he explained. “This is my first time living outside of my parents’ house in another city and having money and doing a lot of drugs.” From his perspective, substance dependency made him a “different” and also “lesser” person than he is today. Later on in the interview, he theorized what his place in hip-hop would be if he hadn’t had an awakening.

“If I hadn’t had my spirit tugged on- literally- and a calling to become a better version of myself, then I would have died for sure,” Chance expressed. “Then I would just be the representative of acid and I’m so much more.” If you want to read Complex‘s full interview with the Coloring Book star, check it out here. YSL Attorney Handcuffed During Drug Search

The RICO case of Young Thug and the YSL crew has taken so many twists and turns that their lawyers are also facing plenty of investigation. Moreover, defense attorneys complained of a new security protocol that forces them to be handcuffed while officials search their belongings for drugs. Furthermore, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, lawyer Anastasios Manettas faced accusations of harvesting prescription drugs and authorities handcuffed him during a search. Security brought him to the back of the room and had orders to search every bag and envelope. Previously in this case, a codefendant tried to pass Thugger a Percocet pill while in the courtroom.

However, that hand-to-hand deal reportedly stunned Young Thug and caught him completely by surprise, according to his legal team. Not only that, but many more instances of contraband and people sneaking drugs into jails and courtrooms contributed to this new policy. As such, these strict cuff-and-search procedures are reportedly unlike anything legal counsel had seen before in their careers. While YSL attorneys complained about this process, their complaints arrived amid a sea of circumstances that might warrant such checks.

YSL Attorney Handcuffed Due To New Policy

Still, that’s not to say that everything the court decided concerning this RICO case has been for the greater good. For example, many expressed disappointment and anger over the incredibly lengthy jury selection process, whether directed at the jurors or the court authorities. These delays occurred for many reasons; some logistical, others due to jurors misbehaving. What many can’t deny is how this process only keeps these codefendants behind bars for longer. Despite concerns, hopefully the delays result in the cleanest and most just rule of law possible.

Meanwhile, Young Thug is keeping his head high amid the YSL trial, showing fans his strength. Recently, footage emerged of Thugger smiling in court, one of many instances where people reacted to his reactions. Many focused on footage of distress and tiredness, but the MC seems to be as positive as he can be given the circumstances. Julia Fox Shoots Down Rumor She’s On Weight-Loss Drug

Julia Fox shot down the rumors that she’s on the weight-loss drug, Ozempic, during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Sunday. The popular diabetes medicine has been used by many for its added weight-loss effect.

“All these people are coming for me saying that I take the weight-loss things — people are saying that I’m taking Ozempic or whatever it’s called — I’m not, and I never have,” Fox told the outlet. “I would never do that. There are diabetics that need it.” Fox’s podcasting co-host Niki Takesh added, “It’s a diabetes medication and there’s people that actually need it.”

Fox has previously spoken about her body changing as she ages, claiming that she has no intention of fighting it off. “Just so you guys know, aging is fully in. Like, fully,” she said on TikTok. “If I see another product that says anti-aging on the label, I’m suing. I’m going to sue. I’m going to age regardless of if I put that f—king $500 serum on my face, and you all f—king know it and we know it, so let’s stop lying to ourselves.”

Elsewhere in her interview with ET, Fox addressed the backlash to her viral New York City apartment tour. She argued that anyone who criticized her for the video has never lived in NYC. “I feel like a lot of people outed themselves for never having been to New York when the outrage about the mouse happened, because it’s like, everybody has mice here!” Fox explained. “It’s when you have rats that you need to regulate. [That’s a] very important distinction.” She also reflected on her own childhood in NYC. “When I was little, I used to have so much fun catching them and releasing them,” Fox added. “But now, it’s like, I’m tired and, like, do I wanna go catch a mouse after a 16-hour day? No, I’m just gonna convince myself that the mouse is a pet.”

Lil Baby’s 4PF Artist Rylo Rodriguez Admits $4K A Week Lean Habit

4PF signee Rylo Rodriguez recently admitted to spending about $4K a week on lean. Moreover, in a run-in with Awaiz Dawave, the interviewer asked him about his habits, which made him calculate in his head. “On lean a week?” he replied. “Hold on … Probably like $4,000. Probably like $4,000 — $3,800. I did it weekly. That’s three days [and] three a pint. It depends like $3,200 — three bands.” After the clip started gaining numbers and going viral, fans turned heads at the reveal for various reasons. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old MC recently dropped a new single titled “Set Me Free.”

However, many fans in Dawave’s comments section had some interesting takes on Rylo’s habits. “I needa start sellin ts then bc what,” one user wrote. In addition, another commented “Ask him what’s his biggest investment” with a laughing emoji. Still, most fans expressed concern over his habits and the dangers associated with lean. “Whoever in his camp not real,” a fan expressed, likely referring to people not being there to warn him. “I  like him but we gone be lucky if he finish the year with us,” another wrote dejectedly. Also, fans might remember his 2019 arrest for drug possession charges, and might be sad at this reveal.

Still, this is something that many rappers struggle with; some spit about loving it, while others say it’s a blessing and a curse. Plenty of rappers, though, beat their vices and championed sobriety, with some detailing their process. For one, there’s the example of 808 Mafia veteran Lex Luger. “I remember waking up, Po up a 4, light up some blunts and be basically sleep walking thru the mall high and blowing …. Man I have changed and I’m so proud of myself,” he tweeted in December. “Like if you have changed for the better.”

Also, Sada Baby recently opened up about his sobriety journey as well. In fact, his weekly lean allowance shocked fans, as well. “Ain’t spent 10-20k a week on lean in longer than a year,” the Detroit veteran tweeted. “Ain’t bought over 5 perks in two months, ain’t smoked a cigarette in two months. Suck my dick n celebrate my sobriety.” Check out more reactions to Rylo Rodriguez’s admission down below and stay tuned to HNHH for more hip-hop journeys.

Clive Davis Says Whitney Houston Attempted To Give Up Drugs Before Her Death

Clive Davis is opening up about Whitney Houston’s last days. The infamous music exec recently revealed that he was shocked by Whitney’s 2012 death. Davis says Houston made a “valiant attempt” to give up drugs before she died.

“I was with her 48 hours before her death,” Davis told Page Six. “It never occurred to me [that she would die two days later].” The record producer signed Houston in 1983 when she was just 20 years old. He continued, “She was showing me what she had done in rehab. How she had given up smoking. She had cleared her throat of nicotine. And she was wanting to start going in the studio. I never would have thought 48 hours before her death, that she would pass, that there would be that horrendous, premature end to her life.”
