Drake Releases Video for 'Honestly, Nevermind' Banger "Sticky"

Drake is back with a new video, dropping off “Sticky” from his Honestly, Nevermind album.

In the new video, Drizzy shows what life is like on stage, private jet, yachty, and wrapping up at his mansion. The Theo Skudra clip also features one of the off-road Maybach SUVs created by Virgil Abloh. The video also salutes YSL. You can see the video below.

In a bit of bad news, fans looking to see Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj reunite on stage in Toronto tonight will have to hold on a bit longer. Drake announced via his Instagram story that he is postponing the close of October World Weekend due to contracting COVID-19.

“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the soonest date possible,” Drake wrote on Instagram. “I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked.

“I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid.)”

DJ Khaled Announces ‘Staying Alive’ With Drake And Lil Baby And Reveals The ‘God Did’ Release Date

In July, DJ Khaled announced God Did, his thirteenth album, the follow-up to 2020’s Khaled Khaled, which featured 21 Savage, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Big Sean, and more. But he didn’t release a single alongside this announcement, and he didn’t offer a tracklist, or even a release date. However, today he unveiled some more information.

In a new Instagram post, DJ Khaled revealed that God Did is arriving on August 26th. The first single “Staying Alive” is out this Friday, August 5, and will feature Drake and Lil Baby. Read the full caption below.

In November of last year, DJ Khaled teased this song during his own birthday party, letting the crowd know that a new collaboration with Drake was in the offing. “I got some new music with Drake coming out real soon,” he said. “This sh*t sounds crazy too. The vocals are in!” In 2020, the pair also worked together on the track “Popstar,” which also featured Justin Bieber, so this isn’t their first time working alongside one another.

Drake Unleashes The ‘Sticky’ Music Video, Which Calls To ‘Free YSL’

In June, Drake released Honestly, Nevermind as a surprise, and it received a wide range of reactions. Now he’s unveiling the music video for the track “Sticky.”

Directed by Theo Skudra, the video opens with a massive crowd hyping up Drake as he walks onto the stage. It then follows him in cars, parking lots, airports, clubs, and even on boats. The words “Free YSL” appear across the screen for a brief moment, referring to the ongoing racketeering case against Gunna’s label that has Gunna, Young Thug, and 28 other members hit with several federal charges.

Shortly after unleashing the LP, the rapper mentioned on a radio show that he has lots more projects that will be arriving soon. “Me and Kenzo have a book coming out this year. Yeah, we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book. So I hope you guys tune into that, too, because that’s going to be some sh*t.” He added, “I got another Scary Hours pack coming, too, in a little bit. Maybe not, like [laughs]… maybe not right now; I need you to just take this [Honestly, Nevermind] in right now. But I have a Scary Hours, I’m gonna slap some head tops off with a Scary Hours pack.”

Fans looking to see Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj reunite on stage in Toronto tonight will have to hold on a bit longer. Drake announced via his Instagram story that he is postponing the show due to contracting COVID-19.

Drake Delays Young Money Reunion After Testing Positive For COVID

Nicki Minaj Lil Wayne and Drake

Fans were excited to hear of a Young Money Reunion during this years October World Weekend after Drake announced it via his Instagram in July. The reunion would feature himself, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj; the three biggest artists on Wayne’s imprint label YMCMB. However, it seems as if fans might have to wait just a little bit longer after Drake announced he tested positive for COVID on the day of the performance.

“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible,” he wrote in his Instagram Story. “I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked.

“Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid),” he added.

However, this is not the first time Drake has caught COVID. It was reported last August that the 6 God had contracted the deadly virus. However, it seemed as if the only thing that it impacted at the time was his hair growth as the Certified Lover Boy era haircut with the heart on his hairline seemed unkept.

“I had Covid that sh*t grew in weird I had to start again,” he said. “It’s coming back don’t diss.”

Drake Postpones His Young Money Reunion Show With Lil Wayne And Nicki Minaj After Contracting COVID

Canadian music fans looking forward to tonight’s Young Money reunion show featuring Drake, Lil Wayne, and Nicki Minaj will be disappointed to learn that the show’s chief architect Drake has announced the show must be postponed. His reason is exhaustingly familiar after the last two years; he has contracted COVID, necessitating a period of self-quarantine until he gets a negative test.

“I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for COVID and the Young Money Reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible,” Drake wrote on his Instagram Story. “I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked. Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all. I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the COVID).”

That’s mighty considerate of him, considering how some stars have treated the pandemic (which is still, y’know… ongoing). The October World Weekend event wasn’t a total bust, though. On Friday, fans at the All Canada North Stars concert were treated to a surprise appearance from Nelly Furtado, who sang her signature hit, “I’m Like A Bird” alongside a Drake who was very much in his feelings. And next year, Drake’s bringing back his OVO Fest as a tour.

Get well soon, Drake!
