Launched in 2016, the sports brand; Overtime had previously hosted other funding rounds. It raised 80 million dollars during round C of the funding series in the preceding year.

The company presently boasts a value of 500 million dollars after gaining 1oo million from the D series round. The round participants include Blackstone and Sapphire Sport, Bezos Expeditions, and Winslow Capital, with CounterPoint Global in the lead spot.

Presently, the company has an impressive following of 65 million people, garners a view count of about two billion. With its social standing, the company is proceeding to expand its Web3 presence. There are also talks of e-commerce growth through their previously established sports teams, Overtime Elite (OTE) in basketball and OTE, a high school football team led by Liberty Media. As these teams have attracted an audience, it seeks to create other sports leagues with the innovation of digital content expansion.

It is viably supported by a few renowned investors like singers Drake and Quavo and NBA stars Kevin Durant and Trae Young. The company also has other investors, including Thirty-Five Ventures, owned by Rich Kleiman and Carmelo Anthony.

Zack Weiner, the co-founder of Overtime, expressed his gratitude to the investors. He also applauded their commitment and involvement in the company.  Overtime intends to maximize its social media channels to focus on the new generation using sports videos and highlights. In addition, the goal is to create a community through their media extensions.

Another co-founder, Dan Porter, gave an update on the company’s development, stating that the investment made by Liberty Media was the primary source of the explosive growth of Formula 1 (an Internet protocol), created the year before. He also acknowledged its significant impact on the sports industry, cementing its readiness for expansion.

Porter also admitted to their difficulty raising the money for that series. But, he stated, ‘it was enormously difficult, I’m not gonna lie. I think that the level of capitalization of companies previously, when interest rates were phenomenally low, was very high, and now things have shifted the other way. But there’s an enormous pressure to make this last for a very long time so that you’re somewhat insulated from the ups and downs of where the market is and where the economy is.’

With their recent financial boost, Overtime can foresee a successful future in the sports market.’

Drake Is The Most-Searched Artist Of All Time On Shazam

Drake’s dominance is disputed but he’s got a compelling new argument in his favor. Shazam, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, has confirmed that Drake is the most-searched artist of all time. Fans have Shazamed Drake’s songs or songs on which he’s featured over 350 million times — which, considering he’s only been around for about half of Shazam’s lifespan, is really impressive. His most Shazamed song? “One Dance,” from his 2016 album Views, which has been searched 17 million times since its release. Whether or not Drake’s really got “more slaps than The Beatles,” he’s become one of the most ubiquitous artists in the world.

And that doesn’t appear to be changing anytime soon. During his recent appearance on Nicki Minaj’s Queen Radio, Drake rejected the possibility of retirement. “I’m not at that point where I even consider that being an option,” he said. “One of the best feelings I have in my life is completing a song or project. And, by the way, those things are painful as well. A lot of nerves, a lot of confidence wavering. But I feel like I’m reaching a new level of fun. I’ve reached a new level of comfortability where I want to try things. Like this last album, I put out something I wanted to do to challenge myself.”

DJ Drama Says Everybody Involved In The 2015 Drake And Meek Mill Beef “Did Something Wrong”

DJ Drama Finds Out He Wins a Grammy Before His Dreamville Set

It’s crazy to think that Drake and Meek Mill have the friendship they have today after their beef in 2015. Drake won the beef, even after Meek responded, with the track “Back to Back” where he basically told Meek that he was playing second fiddle in his then relationship with Nicki Minaj. In a new interview with Rory and Mal, Drama said that he thinks both Drake and Meek “did something wrong” during their beef.

“Listen, everybody did something wrong, everybody,” DJ Drama said. “Quentin did something wrong, DJ Drama did something wrong, Drake did something wrong, Meek Mill did something wrong, Nicki Minaj did something wrong, like everybody played a role.”

He continued: “We can sit here today and talk about it. Listen, everyone I named, I love y’all to death. I hope no one takes this the wrong way again. It’s water under the bridge, it went down. It was a Hip Hop moment, like it’s Hip Hop history. Those guys have gotten to tell their true sides of their stories.”

The beef between Drake and Meek started after Meek called Drake out on Twitter for not helping promote his second studio album Dreams Worth More Than Money. Meek accused Drake of not writing his own lyrics. He then revealed that it was Quentin Miller who was writing Drake’s music, and went on to release audio of reference tracks from “10 Bands”, “Used To”, “Know Yourself” and Drizzy’s guest verse on “R.I.C.O. Drake would respond with “Charged Up,” and then when Meek failed to respond, Drake dropped “Back to Back.”

DJ Drama was involved in the beef after rumors spread that he gave Meek the leaked reference tracks in retaliation for Drake sleeping with his ex-wife Summer P Walker.

Since then, the Generation Now founder and Drake have made amends, with Drake featuring on Jack Harlow’s “Churchill Downs” and appearing alongside him in the music video.
