Drake Announced A Poetry Book Featuring Songwriter Kenza Samir, Which Is Arriving Later Today

By now, Drake fans are used to the “Spin Bout U” rapper dropping projects with little to no promotion. His most recent solo album Honestly, Nevermind arrived over a year ago with less than 24 hours notice. But today (June 24), Drizzy isn’t dropping an album, a mixtape, an EP, or even a single. His latest project comes in the form of a poetry book.

Drake has teamed up with songwriter Kenza Samir, who has co-writing credits on some of Drizzy’s songs to create a book called Titles Ruin Everything: A Stream Of Consciousness By Kenza Samir & Aubrey Graham.

The book, which was announced yesterday, will be available for purchase today at 1 p.m. EST at Drake’s official online merchandiser, drakerelated.

Not a lot is known about the book at the time of writing, however, Drake’s cryptic teasers has fans abuzz.

“I don’t know if I have ever wanted people to buy or support something more in my life,” he said.

While the project seems to be arriving on short notice, Drake first teased the book during his Table For One radio show on SiriusXM last year.

“Me and Kenza have a book coming out this year,” he said, “we have a book coming out this year, a poetry book.”

Though, the book is finally arriving over a year after the initial announcement.

Drake Announces New Poetry Book, “Titles Ruin Everything”

Last year, Drake pleasantly surprised his fans with the unexpected release of a new project titled Honestly, Nevermind. Prior to that, he had debuted the first episode of his radio show, “Table For One.” During the show, the 35-year-old artist hinted at upcoming projects, not all of which are music-related. On the radio show, Drake revealed that he and Kenza Samir were set to release a poetry book later that year. He expressed excitement about the book and encouraged his listeners to look forward to it. An exact release date was not disclosed at the time. However, the announcement generated anticipation for the book’s arrival.

In the past year, Drake has remained extremely busy. He has released projects like Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss. He also dropped a single titled “Search & Rescue.” However, despite these releases, some fans are eagerly anticipating a new album or at least another single from the Canadian superstar. Unfortunately, it seems that fans may have to wait a bit longer for that. Nevertheless, fans have a little something to look forward to in the meantime. Drake is finally dropping his poetry book.

Drake, AKA Aubrey Graham, The Poet

After a year of anticipation, the book titled Titles Ruin Everything is set to hit the shelves. Drake recently took to Instagram to share the news, expressing his excitement about the book’s release. He mentioned that the book will be available starting tomorrow on Drake Related, as well as select retailers. In his post, Drake conveyed his genuine enthusiasm, stating that he has never been more eager for people to buy or support something in his life. He referred to Titles Ruin Everything as their first book. This indicates the significance of this creative endeavor for both him and Kenza Samir.

Fans took to the comments to let their thoughts be known on the project. Many expressed excitement. “Do I like to read? Yes. Do I have any idea what this is? Nope. Will I read it? Yes!” said one fan. Another agreed, saying that they’ve been waiting for Drake to release a coffee table book of his Instagram captions. “There’s Shakespeare, then there’s Aubrey,” said another user. What do you think of Drake releasing a book of poetry? Will you read it? Let us know in the comments!

Drake Embraces Dick’s Pics By Following The New Toronto Raptors Rookie On Instagram

It’s a busy and exciting time in the NBA right now. Over the past few days, there were major trades involving Marcus Smart, Kristaps Porziņģis, Bradley Beal, and Chris Paul. All that was leading up to yesterday’s NBA Draft, the headline of which was the unsurprising decision by the San Antonio Spurs to draft Victor Wembanyama with the No. 1 pick.

Gradey Dick also made headlines for his dazzling red outfit before getting selected at No. 13 by the Toronto Raptors (a pretty good pick, in our opinion). After donning his Raptors hat and shaking Adam Silver’s hand, Dick’s mind was on Drake.

In a post-draft press conference, Dick was asked about Drake and he said, “Gotta get out there, see Drake. I haven’t seen him a bunch, but I’m looking forward to that. [Becoming boys with Drake], that’s the goal. I need him to wear my jersey. That’s how I know [I’ve made it]. That’s my priority.”

Now, it appears their friendship is off to a good start: a video shared by the Raptors shows an excited Dick smiling shortly after getting followed on Instagram by Drake.

Drake will surely be happy to see Dick suit up for Toronto: Per our draft analysis, “This is a good value and a good fit. Dick is one of the best shooters in the class with good size for a wing and the ability to move off the ball and shoot on the move. Defensively, he probably won’t be a big plus, but Dick improved as the season went along, and Toronto’s roster could use the infusion of floor spacing.”

Drake Reflects On “Honestly, Nevermind” One Year Later

This time last year, Drake divided the internet with his Honestly, Nevermind album. It left many of those hoping to hear the Canadian show off his rap skills disappointed, though others who have been leaning into the resurgence of dance music thoroughly enjoyed the 14-track effort. In just a few days, he and 21 Sav are embarking on the It’s All A Blur tour, which will find Drizzy performing songs from their joint LP, Her Loss, as well as his own recent releases like Certified Lover Boy and Honestly, Nevermind.

To commemorate the one-year anniversary of the polarizing project, Drake shared the album notes over a black screen on his Instagram Story. “I let my humbleness turn to numbness at times letting time go by knowing I got the endurance to catch it another time,” they begin. “I work with every breath in my body ’cause it’s the work not air that makes me feel alive. That’s some real detrimental shit, but that’s that shit my perfectionist mind doesn’t really mind because no one knows what’s on my mind when I go to sleep at nine and wake up at five – unless I say it in a rhyme.”

The following likes find Drake reflecting on the price of fame, and how most people he meets are more concerned with taking photos together for clout than actually connecting with him. “I got plans I can’t talk about with more than like four guys because the last time I shared ’em with someone on the outside… Well, that’s another story for another night. I was tryna get thru that statement to get to saying I’m not at a time in my life where pats on the shoulder help get me by,” he continues.

“I know everyone that tells me they love me doesn’t love me all the time, especially when I’m doing better than alright and they have to watch it from whatever point they at in their life,” Champagne Papi adds before reminding us he got where he is by “being realistic,” not by “being blind” and sending a shoutout to the late Virgil Abloh. Aside from reflecting on his past releases, Drake has also given us a few new features to enjoy this weekend. On Young Thug’s surprise BUSINESS IS BUSINESS album, the father of one shows out on both “Parade on Cleveland” and “Oh U Went.” Check the tracks out for yourself at the link below, and tap back in later this weekend for more HNHH release recommendations.

Young Thug Promises Drake He “Will Be Paid” For “Parade on Cleveland” & “Oh U Went” Features

Last New Music Friday (June 16) it was Gunna’s a Gift & a Curse album that had hip-hop heads talking. Now, it’s Young Thug’s turn to show out on his surprise BUSINESS IS BUSINESS project, which hit DSPs at midnight (June 23). The 15-track effort is the Atlanta native’s first LP since his arrest last year as part of a sweeping RICO indictment along with several other co-defendants. Throughout his lyrics, Thugger addresses those who allegedly snitched on him to gain back their own freedom while working alongside a group of impressive collaborators.

He and Future come together for “Cars Bring Me Out,” and we hear from 21 Savage, Travis Scott, and Yak Gotti on “Wit Da Racks” immediately after. The Houston-born rager also appears on “Abracadabra,” while the “Rich Ni**a Sh*t” hitmaker joins Thug again later on “Want Me Dead.” We also hear from Nate Ruess, BSlime, and Lil Gotit, but the guest appearance that fans appear to be most excited about so far is Drake. The Canadian came through on two separate titles, opening the album with “Parade on Cleveland” and resurfacing again midway through the tracklist on “Oh U Went.”

Ahead of BUSINESS IS BUSINESS arrival, Drizzy took to Instagram to promote his “Way 2 Sexy” collaborator’s work. “You owe me this time,” the father of one wrote in the comments, seemingly hinting that he’s waiting on a paycheck from Thug.

Even from behind bars, the YSL leader managed to get a message out assuring Drake that he’ll get his money. “[You] will be paid,” the So Much Fun artist promised. As expected, both songs are among the highest praised on BUSINESS IS BUSINESS so far, though the overall album reception so far has some critics showing favour towards Gunna’s LP over Thug’s.

Young Thug Shares A Message From Jail On His Track With Drake From ‘Business Is Business’

Last week, Young Thug announced a mysterious release titled “Business Is Business” with a countdown timer set to end the following week. True to its word, the countdown concluded with the release of Thug’s new album Business Is Business. It arrived with 15 songs and features from Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, BSlime, Lil Got It, and Nate Ruess. The album opened with a record titled “Parade On Cleveland” which features Drake, and on it, Thug delivers a quick message from jail.

Following a verse from Drake, the Toronto rapper presumably accepts a collect call to the Cobb County Adult Detention Facility from Thug himself. “Wassup my brother, talk to me, what’s the word?” Drake asks and Thug replies, “Uh, I ain’t doin’ sh*t, man. Just pushin’ more Peter, more sweeter, more completer than any Peter pusher around. See what I’m sayin’ Slime?”

For what it’s worth, it seems like Thug is in good spirits based on that phone call, which is good to hear considering that the rapper has been in jail for over a year now.

You can listen to “Parade From Cleveland” in the video above.

Business Is Business is out now via YSL/300 Entertainment/Atlantic Records. Find more information here.

Young Thug And Drake Remind Everyone That They Haven’t Left On Their New Song, ‘Parade On Cleveland’

Young Thug has released his new album, Business Is Business tonight (June 23). On the album, which he dropped from jail, Thugger is joined by a set of heavy hitters, including Nate Ruess, Lil Uzi Vert, and Drake. The latter joins him on a track called “Parade On Cleveland.”

On the track, Thug and Drake show off their vocal chops, delivering smooth sounds over an R&B-influenced beat. Drake opens the song, making it known that “Soon as I’m fresh out the box like a Tic-Tac / We having sex soon as I get my b*tch back / It ain’t gonna be sexy when I get my lick back.”

Before Thug’s verse, a voice recording indicating that a phone call is coming in from Cobb County Adult Detention Facility plays. Thug then rests fans assured that he will be home soon.

“Hands down / Yeah, the big dog coming back / Think you good?…Pants down, you smoking crack,” he raps.

On the outro, Thug repeats the phrase “business is business,” setting the overall mood for the hotly-anticipated album.

Young Thug Reveals “Business Is Business” Tracklist

Young Thug is about to drop his new album, Business Is Business. This comes one week after Gunna dropped his latest effort. Fans have speculated on potential beef because of the YSL RICO case. However, recent social media activity from both Gunna and Young Thug may render all that discussion irrelevant. Gunna recently reposted Young Thug’s enigmatic countdown on Instagram. It was a post that was also shared by other prominent MCs and producers in the industry. This suggests that Gunna is fully supportive and excited about the new music Young Thug has in store for his fans. Whether or not this will signify any large shift in public opinion on Gunna as a snitch remains to be seen.

Gunna’s latest album, a Gift & a Curse, received a mix of acclaim, surprise, and conversation upon its release. The 30-year-old artist addresses those who doubted him when they heard about his involvement in the legal case. Many have called him out as a snitch, suggesting that he ratted out Young Thug. The album contains lyrics that allude to misunderstood situations. He also refers to fake loyalty from others in the music industry and a great deal of personal reflection and introspection. For example, in the track “rodeo dr,” Gunna raps, “I know some n*ggas locked up in the dungeon that say they feel me like fabric / I know you heard I been pullin’ up pressin’ these n*ggas who claimin’ I ratted.” It looks like the crew might be sticking together, after all.

Thugger Calls In The Big Guns For “Business Is Business”

Now, Young Thug is preparing to release his new album, titled Business Is Business. Sadly, the circumstances surrounding its release are unfortunate for the rapper. He has been incarcerated for over a year on racketeering and conspiracy charges related to his YSL collective. Prosecutors believe it is a gang organization. Consequently, Thug’s musical output has been limited to guest appearances. He has featured alongside artists like Metro Boomin, Yeat, and Rae Sremmurd. However, with the upcoming release of Business Is Business, that is about to change.

The project was initially announced through a countdown timer. The timer was shared on the social media pages of Young Thug, Metro Boomin, and others. Shortly before the timer ended, Thug, Metro, and Drake revealed the artwork for the album. Now, the tracklist for the project has been unveiled. Business Is Business consists of 15 songs. It includes features from artists like Drake, Future, Travis Scott, Yak Gotti, and Lil Uzi Vert. Check out the full tracklist below! Are you excited for Young Thug’s new album?
