Megan Thee Stallion Provokes Drake Beef With Alleged “HISS” Disses

It seems like Megan Thee Stallion and Drake still have some tension going on, or at least that’s how fans are interpreting the former’s new single “HISS.” Moreover, DJ Akademiks recently took to social media platforms to point out a series of bars on the record that apparently got many fans theorizing. Of course, as an avid Drizzy stan and Meg hater, we’re not surprised that the media personality pushed that narrative. But it appears to be a common sentiment, one that first came up after the Toronto artist’s apparent reference to the Houston MC’s “lies” on his track “Circo Loco.” Nevertheless, here’s what she said on “HISS.”

“All these lil’ rap n***as so fraud, Xanax be they hardest bars,” Megan Thee Stallion raps. “These n***as hate on BBLs and be walkin’ ’round with the same scars. Real curvy, no edgin’, n***as fight to get in my section, don’t speak on my body count if the d**k ain’t worth comin’ back for seconds. Cosplay gangsters, fake-a** accents, posted in another n***a hood like a bad b***h.”

Megan Thee Stallion’s New Bars On “HISS”

Furthermore, the Xanax bar could reference Drake’s infamous bar on “SICKO MODE,” about the 13-hour flight to Japan, whereas his diss at Megan Thee Stallion involved the BBLs that she references. In addition, he puts on a lot of voices in his music, so there are definitely enough connections here to give this credence. Of course, Meg has a lot more pressing matters on her mind right now, namely the more important target of this diss. It looks like she and 6ix God associate Nicki Minaj are fully kicking off their direct beef, and some more diss cuts are likely on the way.

Meanwhile, even Cardi B got dragged into that conversation, so we might be on the cusp of a civil war. Who do you think will come out on top concerning all this? Whatever the case, drop your thoughts in the comments section down below. Also, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake and Megan Thee Stallion.

Yasiin Bey, F.K.A. Mos Def, Thinks Drake Makes Pop Music, Not Hip-Hop

Yasiin Bey is a legend within hip-hop, and his decades of experience, knowledge, activism, social consciousness, and skill elevates his standards quite a lot. Moreover, he recently sat down with The Cutting Room Floor and, at one point, was asked by the program’s host whether Drake is hip-hop. Well, you tell me: do you think that the man behind Black Star and Black on Both Sides is a massive fan of the 6ix God? While Bey, formerly and best known as Mos Def, didn’t really diss him here, he did point to the commercial, agreeable, and non-remarkable nature of the game that Drizzy represents, for better or worse.

“Like, is Drake hip-hop?” host Recho asked the MC formerly known as Mos Def. “Why are you doing this to me?” Yasiin Bey replied, and you can tell throughout the whole segment, with some laughs in between, that he’s trying not to go full scorched Earth and be as clear as possible. “Drake is pop to me. In the sense, like, if I was in Target in Houston, and I heard a Drake song. It feels like a lot of his music is compatible with… shopping. Or, as you know, shopping with an edge in certain instances.

Yasiin Bey Speaks On Drake: Watch

“Of course, I get it,” Yasiin Bey continued about Drake. “It’s likable. It’s likable… ‘Wooooo! So many products! So many SKUs! Look at all these SKUs (stock-keeping units, more commonly known as bar codes)! Oh, so many products. I love this mall! Look at this place. I mean, look at this place! They have everything, everything’s here! They have everything here! Oh, this is great. This is the new Drake, do you hear it? It’s great…’

“Okay. What happens when this thing collapses?” he concluded. “What happens when the columns start buckling? Are we not in some early stage of that at this present hour? Are we seeing, like, the collapse of an empire? Buying and selling, where’s the message that I can use? You know, what’s in it for your audience apart from, like, banging the pom-poms?” For more news and the latest updates on Drake and Yasiin Bey, stay up to date on HNHH.

Kanye West Blasts Jay-Z, Drake & More In “Vultures” Party Rant: Watch

Well, given the rant that Kanye West went on at his listening party for his Vultures album with Ty Dolla $ign in Vegas last night (Thursday, December 14), maybe the album isn’t coming out after all. Moreover, he blasted a whole cavalcade of people and entities in a lengthy 10-minute rant, which ended with him remarking that everyone in the room with him in that moment was fake. Eventually, the Chicago rapper kicked YesJulz out, who was the one streaming this whole thing, after going off on Jay-Z, Drake, Adidas, and so many more for not supporting him for the past year. It seems like this moment is the culmination of his antisemitic reclusion that began a year ago.

Furthermore, Kanye called out “Jewish n***as” who call his rants “episodes.” “Y’all ain’t stop that Adidas s**t,” he said during one point of his rant. “Y’all n***as let Adidas crash the richest n***a of all time. I put up one tweet. Then, Ari Emanuel put, ‘Oh, we gotta drop this n***a,’ and all n***as just watched. The only n***a that had the Trump hat. The only n***a that went and got them billions, the only n***a that break through all kinds of ideas in fashion. I’ve been called a f***ot so many times for tight jeans. I got n***as from Chicago that I take care of that still try to sell me. Who you think the old man call? When we put Drake on stage, who you think the old man call? You know what I’m saying?

Kanye West’s Vultures Vegas Party Rant: Watch

“N***a just cause I had a car, n***a,” Kanye West continued. “F**k everybody, n***a. That’s what I’m trying to say to you n***as right f***ing now, n***a. Drake, this is what you been waiting for. Jay-Z, this is what you been waiting for. Adidas, this is what you been waiting for. Kim, this is what you been waiting for. n***as be hanging around these n***as for the money on some Mike Rubin s**t. I slap the s**t out of Mike Rubin I see that n***a, man. You know what I’m saying? Yo, f**k these n***as bro. I’m on my Farrakhan Don s**t right now bro. Because guess what? These Yeezy’s gonna sell. They sabotaged the show today, they sabotaged the Instagram. They cut off the f**king Adidas contract. Then they wanna go get light-skinned Ye. You get what I’m saying?

Meanwhile, this rant comes amid a new rollout for Yeezy’s next shoe, more excitement and disappointment around his Ty Dolla $ign collab album, and so much more. It seems like the 46-year-old is making his grand return to the mainstream for better or worse. We’ll see how he decides to wrap up 2023. XXXTENTACION Murder Suspect Denied Drake’s Involvement

In the latest update in the XXXTENTACION murder trial, former codefendant Robert Allen denied Drake’s involvement. Moreover, Allen testified against his former codefendants in court and pleaded guilty to lesser charges. On Friday (February 10), Allen told the court he never met Drake and didn’t even know who X was when they robbed and shot him. Also, he answered a series of yes-or-no questions from a defendant’s attorney during a cross-examination. As Mauricio Padilla pressed on, representing Dedrick Williams, Allen answered each prompt to form his testimony above.

“So your testimony to this court and to this jury is that you were never on the set of [Drake’s] ‘God’s Plan’ video, filmed in Miami in 2018? Is that what you’re saying?,” the attorney asked in newly released footage. “How much money in 2018 did you receive from either Drake or one of Drake’s associates?” However, Allen said he never met Drake. “You never met Drake?” Padilla continued. “You know who he is though, right?” Allen replied affirmatively, and the lawyer went on. “But actually, in 2018 when this crime occurred, you didn’t know who X was? In 2018, you’re from Broward County, correct? You listen to rap music, correct? And you’re telling this jury that you didn’t know who literally probably the most famous rapper to ever come out of Broward County was in June of 2018? That’s your testimony?”

To be fair, it’s an incredibly murky and delicate situation. While some details of the testimony are odd, the Drake theory rests on hazy connections to begin with. Moreover, the two rappers had a mostly one-sided beef. The Florida rapper aired out frustrations with Drake’s “God’s Plan” visuals and stealing his flow musically. Later, he tweeted “If anyone tries to kill me it was [Drake],” although he claimed someone hacked him.

Still, the ambiguity of the case didn’t stop defense lawyers from dragging Drake into a potential witnesses list. In fact, the court summoned the 6 God for a February 24 deposition, which will likely rule him out of the case. Regardless of what you think of these developments, let us know what you believe in the comments down below. Also, as always, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates on the XXXTENTACION murder trial.
