John Legend Reveals He Is No Longer Close To Kanye West Due To Ye’s Support Of Donald Trump

In 2018, Kanye West felt like a completely different person. It was difficult for many to grasp what the Graduation rapper had become, especially after proclaiming “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people” ten years earlier on national television. As a result, many fans and collaborators distanced themselves from the superproducer. One peer in particular, John Legend, recently spoke about how Ye’s political beliefs related to Donald Trump caused a chasm in their friendship.

CNN’s The Axe Files host David Axelrod spoke with the “All Of Me” artist and inquired as to the state of his relationship with West, Daily Mail reports. Legend replied, “We aren’t friends as much as we used to be because, I honestly think because we publicly disagreed on his running for office, his supporting Trump. I think it became, uh, too much for us to sustain our friendship, honestly.”

The R&B artist continued, sharing that the Yeezy founder took issue with his lack of support during Ye’s presidential campaign: “I wasn’t alone in that, but, you know, he was not happy about that. And we really haven’t been close since then.”

West and Legend previously worked together on “Selfish,” “Number One,” “They Say,” “Blame Game,” and many other records.

West has yet to comment on what Legend said.

DaBaby Expresses His Support For Donald Trump: ‘Trump Is A Gangsta, He Let Kodak Out’

DaBaby was deemed charismatic and personable at the onset of his mainstream consciousness. His fun rap songs matched his silly demeanor and southern drawl. Most of all, he simply didn’t say anything off-putting that would offend a large community of people. That changed last year at Rolling Loud 2021, when he made multiple homophobic comments and surprised attendees by bringing out Tory Lanez, who has been all but blackballed after his ongoing legal battle with Megan Thee Stallion. DaBaby’s reputation continually soured as he double down on both actions and his recent comments about Donald Trump in his July 22 appearance on Full Send Podcast may not help his case.

The show’s host Kyle Forgeard asked the “Rockstar” rapper how he feels about the former United States President, to which DaBaby emphatically replied “Do I f*** with Trump? Now, hell yeah.” Forgeard followed up by asking “What made you f*** with him?” and the North Carolina artist answered with “Trump is a gangsta. N**** let Kodak out,” in reference to Trump pardoning Florida rapper Kodak Black on his final day in office.

Forgeard and his co-host added how Trump also pardoned Lil Wayne, to which DaBaby expressed relief. He pivoted his commentary to the media, saying “Media make an ant look like a f***** dinosaur.” The Full Send hosts then asked if he saw their interview with Donald Trump on the show which was deleted just 12 hours after its release.

Image repair doesn’t seem to be on DaBaby’s agenda, so time will tell what these comments add to his currently negative perception.

Kodak Black Expresses His Support For Donald Trump Being President Forever: ‘Trump Just That GOAT’

There has been a lot of ironic, or unironic, support for Donald Trump ever since he left office in January 2021. Perhaps people miss his “funny” tweets, outlandish statements, or his actual presidency because Joe Biden has not been doing a great job. One person whose Trump support comes as no shock whatsoever is Kodak Black.

The “Lockjaw” artist shared a now-deleted video on Instagram on Tuesday, which found him sporting a “Trump 2024” hoodie in the midst of celebrating Independence Day. He doubled down on his attire, stating, “We need Trump in office forever, man. Just like how them Chinese and Russian and Korean muthaf***** they have their president. Trump the best thing for America — ya heard me — for sure. I respect that boy logic, setup and whole rundown even if he didn’t free me.” The final sentence is in reference to Donald Trump pardoning Kodak for falsifying information on federal forms to buy firearms, done on Trump’s last day in office

Kodak also claimed that if Trump were still in office, Brittney Griner, who is currently detained in Russia, would be home already. If that isn’t enough, the “Super Gremlin” rapper added “When you got muthaf***** office for only like four years, that ain’t enough time for a n**** to run they play and the shit they got to do. By the time they get done, another muthaf**** in office and he f*** sh** up. Man, give my dog a lil more time to do what he do for real.”

It will be interesting to see how Donald Trump fairs in the next election (should he even run), but one thing thats certain is he has Kodak Black’s vote. For life.

Kodak Black Said Happy Birthday To Donald Trump While Wearing A $10K Pendant Of The Former President Smoking A Blunt

Tuesday marked Donald Trump’s 76th birthday and some shared their well-wishes for the former president through messages and posts to him. Kodak Black was one of those people, but the rapper found a very Kodak Black-way to celebrate the president’s new year of life. In a post to his Instagram Story, Kodak wrote, “Happy Z Day #DT I Love You N**** @realdonaldtrump @donaldtrumpjr,” over an image of his chains, one of them being a $10,000 pendant of Donald Trump smoking a blunt. The pendant even features the former president in a MAGA hat.

It turns out that the team behind the pendant is Trax NYC jewelers who recently shared a video of Kodak and the pendant on their Instagram page. Maksud “Trax” Agadjani shared that the piece of jewelry, which was given to the rapper a few weeks ago, was actually made as a gift to Kodak.

Surprisingly enough (or maybe not), this is not the only piece of jewelry related to Trump that Kodak has in his collection. Shortly after the former president pardoned him, Kodak showed off a ring that had “Trump Ties” written on the side.

You can view Kodak Black’s happy birthday message to Donald Trump in the post above.
