According to TMZ, some new details are now circulating about their divorce. As it turns out, their living situation is a bit messy. Due to a myriad of factors, they are still living together. Sources are saying that they both want to prioritize their daughter. However, as far as Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s interactions around the home, they have remained fairly minimal. Cher stands accused of hiring four men to kidnap her son, Elijah Blue Allman, from his New York hotel on the night of his wedding anniversary in November 2021. Allman’s estranged wife, Marie Angela King, outlined the allegations in a court declaration she filed on December 4, in the Los Angeles Superior Court. The report became public, only recently, amid the couple’s ongoing divorce.
“After spending these 12 days together in NY… four people came to our hotel room and removed [Allman] from our room,” King claimed. She further added that she was “told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by [Allman’s] mother.”

From there, King admitted that she was worried about Allman’s safety. “I am currently unaware of my husband’s wellbeing or whereabouts,” King wrote at the time. “I am very concerned and worried about him.” She added: “Since August 2022, I have been told that I am not allowed to see or speak to [Allman] who is currently in lockdown at a treatment facility that is undisclosed to me. I am also told [Allman] has no access to his phone.” King concluded the filing: “I understand his family’s efforts to make sure he is well, and I want what is best for my husband.”
Allman is the son of Cher and her ex-husband, Gregg Allman. The two married just days after Cher’s split from Sonny Bono in 1975 and welcomed Allman in 1976. They called off the relationship three years later. Allman has been dealing with drug issues since his teenage years. Since the 2010s, he’s been in and out of sobriety. Joe Budden discussed Jeezy and Jeannie Mai’s ongoing divorce during the latest episode of his podcast on Saturday. In doing so, he addressed Mai’s controversial resurfaced comments on refusing to date Black men. Budden says that news of the split “saddens” him, but he’s not surprised.

As for the full comments, Mai had been speaking about her relationship with her previous husband, Freddy Harteis, during an episode of The Real. “I loved Black guys, but for me, dark meat on the side, white [meat] keeps me mean and lean. I used to date Black men, I think they’re attractive. But what I decided to stick to is, because it just kept me happiest, was my man Freddy who happens to be white,” she said at the time. Jeezy filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia on September 14. He noted the marriage as being “irretrievably broken.” He is seeking joint legal custody of his and Mai’s one-year-old child.

Jeezy filed for divorce in Fulton County Superior Court, last Thursday, and is seeking joint custody of their daughter in the separation. The two already have a prenuptial agreement in place; however, Mai reportedly plans to contest it. Jeezy has asked the court honor to the terms of his agreement. They signed the contract before their marriage in 2021. “The parties entered into Prenuptial Agreement dated March 26, 2021, that was duly signed and executed by both Petitioner and Respondent […] and resolves all financial issues incident to this divorce.
