Snoop Dogg Admits He Loves Listening To Eazy E’s “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” Diss Track

Snoop Dogg says he still listens to Eazy E’s “Real Muthaphuckkin G’s” diss track, on which the late rapper calls him out. He discussed the idea of enjoying diss tracks made against him during a recent interview with Bootleg Kev. “I got a station called ‘Cadillacc Music.’ Everyday at about 1:30. I walk down the hall. Eazy E, Dresta, and B.G. Knocc Out, be playing. And that sh*t be knocking. You hear me singing it,” Snoop said, before singing a portion of the song. “That n***a Eazy E was on my head. That sh*t’s so hard.”

As for whether he initially liked the song back in 1993, Snoop remarked: “F*ck no. F*ck them n****s. You don’t wanna give a n***a no credit when a n***a dissing you. We was on them n****s’ head. We had ‘What Would You Do.” We had ‘Dre Day.’ We had all kinda sh*t. We was busting them upside the head. But when they dropped that motherf*cker, we felt that one.” From there, Snoop explained that Eazy’s performance was so good that he was reconsidering his entire relationship with him.

Daylyt Recalls Kendrick Lamar’s Hilarious FaceTime Call After Drake’s Diss Track Dropped

Daylyt says Kendrick Lamar called him up on Ab-Soul’s phone after Drake dropped one of his diss tracks amid their ongoing feud. He recalled the hilarious moment and Lamar’s reaction to the song during a recent appearance on The Apollo podcast.

“It’s a FaceTime call, so I ignore the first one,” Daylyt joked. “He call again. I’m like, ‘Oh, it must be important.’ So, I’m thinking like it’s an emergency because Ab-Soul don’t really FaceTime me, especially not that early. I pick up, it was Dot bro. N**** was just lookin’ at the camera and hung up.” As the room burst out into laughter, Daylyt added: “The smirk that the n***a had on his face. The last time I seen that was when I was doing shenanigans. It was evil. He about to go to no return with this sh*t.”

One fan of Drake retorted: “Certified cheerleaders, imagine all being in the same profession but in public inhaling the air Kendrick breathes to consider it a W for yourself yet simultaneously mentioning Drake in every way possible knowing he’s the real route to some sort of clout!”

Lil Wayne’s AI Kendrick Lamar Diss Track Goes Viral And Causes Confusion

A lot of hip-hop fans out there are waiting for a battle to erupt between Kendrick Lamar and Lil Wayne. But some of them are showing an exaggerated desperation, depending on technology to fulfill their wishes. Moreover, an A.I.-generated diss track from Weezy against K.Dot surfaced online, sprouting a lot of puzzled reactions from fans unsure if that New Orleans voice we all know and love came from artificial intelligence. In fact, there are apparently multiple fake disses circling around the Internet right now, and Kendrick affiliate Hitta J3 pointed at least one of them out on Twitter, although he didn’t specify which one.

For those unaware, there are a couple of explanations for this presumed beef. One is Lil Wayne’s loyalty to Drake, whom Kendrick Lamar eviscerated in a rap battle this year. The other concerns next year’s Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans and the outrage sparked by the NFL (and presumably Jay-Z) picking the Compton lyricist over folks like Wayne, a hometown hero. The whole conversation involves more nuance than that, but you get the general gist.

A.I.-Generated Lil Wayne Diss Against Kendrick Lamar

“This is a big event,” Snoop Dogg said of the Kendrick Lamar, Lil Wayne, and Super Bowl situation. “You should just be honored that hip-hop is being able to be seen on that platform, for all of us, and not hate on the next man, but be happy. […] I didn’t feel like I was supposed to be [at my Super Bowl halftime show] or in demand to be there. […] People look at everything when they pick the person to perform. […] Before Jay-Z got control of the Super Bowl, wasn’t no n***as performing. He’s creating a wave of artists that have an opportunity to perform.”

Meanwhile, another big factor fueling a potential Kendrick Lamar and Tunechi battle is that the former actually addressed the latter on his new album GNX‘s opener, “wacced out murals.” “Used to bump ‘Tha Carter III,’ I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” he rapped on the cut. Wayne actually seemed to respond via Twitter, so with all this precedent in mind, maybe one day fans won’t have to use A.I. to imagine a showdown. But who knows…

Akbar V Mentions Biggie’s Late Boyfriend In Fiery Diss Track Response

Things got heated during an episode of Baddies Midwest this month when Akbar V got into it with Biggie. Jaidyn Alexis intervened and began to argue with Biggie, resulting in an intense confrontation. Biggie proceeded to preview a diss track about Akbar, which quickly earned a response. In a lengthy social media post, Akbar claimed that their feud was just a storyline for the show at first, but now it appears to be very real.

“Listen me and biggie never had no real issue we talked bout a story line she do this all the time to ahna and Teseki it’s becoming a sad case she has to stop the sympathy card,” she wrote in part. “When you go to studio and diss me u gotta be prepared for me cuz ion have no limits … hiphop it’s not a sympathy sport it’s Barz.” Clearly, Akbar meant what she said. Recently, she dropped a diss track of her own and didn’t hold back in the slightest.

Akbar V Doesn’t Hold Back

In it, she calls out Biggie for her size, name-drops her late boyfriend Dante, and more. So far, the track has earned mixed reactions from social media users. While some think she snapped, others think she could have taken things too far, particularly by mentioning the dead. “Damn I don’t like akbar but you cannot deny shorty spit absolute snap fangs! VENOM! lol,” one Instagram user writes in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. “Akbar ate her up, biggie should’ve just sat this out,” another claims.

Akbar even joined the conversation to clear the air, as some listeners took issue with her dissing Biggie’ for her size. “I love my big girls i use to be big and im still big mama but ion play when it comes to this pen ❤❤ i love yall,” she wrote.

YouTuber Scru Face Jean Disses DJ Akademiks In New Song “wAKked out murals”

The Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef drew a line in the sand in hip-hop culture… Or it just provided a new angle for Internet creators to attack each other over. We got an example of both ramifications recently thanks to rapper and YouTuber Scru Face Jean dropping the “wAKked out murals” diss track against DJ Akademiks. For those unaware, Ak spoke about Jean during his livestream, responding to his criticism that the streamer seems to be purposefully obfuscating his loyalties to Drizzy. Scru Face chose to respond by rapping over K.Dot’s GNX intro “wacced out murals,” and it touched on a lot.

Moreover, Scru Face Jean’s big points concerned DJ Akademiks’ sexual assault allegations, his exploitation of violence in Chicago, how Drake never shows up for him despite his staunch support, and some general references and jokes about viral Ak moments or the type of content he makes. We can already hear the media personality ranting on his stream in response, downplaying the MC’s success or skills or what have you. The Kendrick Lamar debate really created a lot of enemies on social media, even if many of those conflicts – this included – are pretty small scale… For now.

Scru Face Jean’s DJ Akademiks Diss, “wAKked out murals”

Beyond Scru Face Jean’s disses, DJ Akademiks has his eye on some other Kendrick Lamar and Drake-related angles. For example, he recently claimed that Kendrick’s team allegedly confirmed to him that he actually meant to diss Andrew Schulz on “wacced out murals.” The comedian’s response to those perceived jabs caused a whole lot of controversy of their own, and Ak is alleging that this debacle sprouted by design and not by misinterpreted coincidence. But again, another small narrative in the grand scheme of things.

With all this in mind, we’ll see if DJ Akademiks responds to Scru Face Jean or if he just tosses “wAKked out murals” to the side. If you tally up all the discussions around Kendrick Lamar and Drake this year, you’ll notice that the superstars themselves haven’t really done much to push their narratives. Rather, it’s their fans who really flesh the discourse out, so we’d be interested in some more first-hand remarks. Don’t bet on those, though…

Farruko Scorches Anuel AA In New Diss Track “San Miguel”

It looks like yet another feud is heating up for Puerto Rican trap and reggaetón star Anuel AA, as Bayamón, Puerto Rico’s own Farruko dropped a diss track against him titled “San Miguel.” For those unaware, it seems like their feud really popped off when the latter named Eladio Carrión as his favorite boricua trap artist, which seemed to rub Anuel the wrong way. AA is no stranger to battles and conflicts within the reggaetón and wider Latin music scene, whether that’s with Bad Bunny, his ex girlfriend KAROL G, or many other artists within Puerto Rico and Latin America as a whole.

Basically, Farruko challenges Anuel AA to prove his supposedly fake street status and respond with artistic merit, not with social media antics. Will that actually happen? Probably not, but depending on how far “San Miguel” goes, we might see a response track. It’s certainly a contrast to Anuel’s other beefs, such as his volatile clash with 6ix9ine, that were more Twitter fingers than (lyrical) trigger fingers. Still, this new diss track is more of a warning shot than anything, and if it progresses, we could definitely enter into much uglier territory. Hopefully it doesn’t escalate too far.

Farruko’s Anuel AA Diss Track, “San Miguel”

Regardless, Anuel AA has other strong controversies to contend with that don’t relate to his beefs with Farruko or other Puerto Rican reggaetón stars. For example, his public support of Donald Trump resulted in a lot of backlash from the boricua community and from Latin America as a whole. Of course, Anuel probably doesn’t care very much since Trump won the election and he pretty much thrives off of scandals and negative engagement just as much as he enjoys the praise and support of his rabid fanbase.

Elsewhere, some fans are calling Farruko out for his turn to Christianity, which this Anuel AA diss track seems to contradict. But given just how many beefs the latter has, others don’t mind seeing him go toe to toe with yet another opponent. We’ll see what comes of “San Miguel” and how else this feud could evolve, especially considering everything that’s already on Anuel’s plate beef-wise.

Joe Budden Claims Lil Wayne Made A Kendrick Lamar Diss Record After Kendrick Refused To Take His Call

Last week, Kendrick Lamar surprised the world by unleashing his new album, GNX. The project arrived with zero notice, leaving social media users in shambles. On it, he dives into various topics that fans have been waiting to hear his take on. This includes his upcoming performance at the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show in Louisiana, which was announced back in September. The announcement sparked a great deal of backlash, as many felt as though the opportunity should have gone to New Orleans native Lil Wayne.

Weezy himself even hopped online amid the outrage to confirm that he was disappointed by the apparent snub. “That hurt, it hurt a lot… I thought there was nothing better than that spot, on that stage, on that platform,” he admitted. “It broke me, but I’m just trying to put myself back together.” Evidently, Kendrick didn’t appreciate this, and addressed the debacle in his song “wacced out murals.”

Joe Budden Says Lil Wayne Got In The Booth

“Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud/ Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down,” he raps, later adding “Won the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me.” Now, Joe Budden has claimed that in response to the song, Lil Wayne tried to call Kendrick up. Unfortunately, however, he didn’t answer. According to Budden, this led Lil Wayne to take a different approach.

“I’m hearing that somebody picked up the phone, tried to call and see what the energy was, I’m hearing that Kendrick didn’t answer,” he said. “I’m hearing that Wayne went in the booth.” Budden and his co-hosts went on to debate whether or not Lil Wayne would stand a chance against Kendrick, particularly considering the high the Compton rapper has been on in recent months. Of course, this remains to be seen, when and if the supposed diss track ever sees the light of day.

Elliott Wilson Addresses Jay-Z Diss Track Rumors

Over the weekend, Akademiks TV shared a message from an anonymous source on X, claiming that Jay-Z allegedly has a new album on the way. They even alleged that the album contains a diss track, though it remains unclear who it could be about. In their message, they explained that they attended a New York rapper’s private event recently, which is where they heard the rumor. “I’m at a NY rapper only private Roc Nation karaoke event. Word on the street Hov got a new album coming up including a diss song,” the message read. At the time of writing, all of this is unconfirmed, but it’s managed to get fans’ hopes up regardless.

Unfortunately, however, it looks like those fans probably shouldn’t hold their breath. Earlier today, Elliott Wilson took to X to shut down the diss track rumors, claiming that there’s zero truth to them. “Hov diss track rumor is [cap],” he wrote simply. It’s uncertain where exactly Wilson got this information from, and what exactly this says for the rest of the rumored album.

Elliott Wilson Shuts Down Jay-Z Diss Track Rumors

Wilson’s tweet has earned mixed reactions from his followers. Some find it hard to believe that Jay-Z won’t diss anyone if he does drop music. Others wouldn’t be surprised. “Word but if he has new music, people are for sure getting shot at lol,” one X user speculates. “Does anyone want or expect an old billionaire to diss someone else?” another wonders.

For now, it remains to be seen whether or not Jay-Z will actually go after anybody on a diss track. Recently, however, he did go after the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department and local government legally. He and his Team ROC organization allege that they failed to produce police records in a “timely manner” amid allegations of civil rights violations and corruption. Managing Director of Team ROX Dania Diaz told NBC News, “This filing is because human beings with badges have betrayed the public’s trust.”

Jay-Z Is Rumored To Have A Diss Track On The Way

Hip-hop fans have heard plenty of memorable diss tracks in recent months. According to rumors circulating online, one more might even be on the way. In a new post shared by Akademiks TV last night, someone claiming to have attended a New York rapper’s private event alleged that Jay-Z has a new album on the way. Moreover, they alleged that it contains a diss track, based on what they heard at the event.

“I’m at a NY rapper only private Roc Nation karaoke event. Word on the street Hov got a new album coming up including a diss song,” the anonymous message reads. At the time of writing, it remains unclear whether or not there’s any truth to this individual’s claims. It also remains unclear who the alleged diss track could be about. With that being said, these are not the first rumors of a new Jay-Z album fans have heard this year.

Jay-Z Could Have A New Album On the Way, Anonymous Source Alleges

Back in January, director Hidji World took to Instagram to share various Story posts suggesting he was on set with Jay-Z. In one, he claimed he was “shooting today.” In another, he shared a photo of a first-take film slate. “JAY Z -2024 ALBUM,” it was labeled. Hidji was listed as the director, along with Leroy Farrell as director of photography. For obvious reasons, this got fans’ hopes up, though they were quickly shot down once Roc Nation caught wind of the post. The company commented on a post on X, which had reported that “A NEW JAY-Z ALBUM IS BEING TEASED FOR 2024.”

“That’s news to us,” the official Roc Nation X account wrote at the time. That was almost a year ago now, so it’s certainly possible that things have changed. With that being said, however, any talk of a new Jay-Z album or diss track is still rumored for the time being.

Dionne Warwick Reveals Why She Didn’t Enjoy Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us”

Dionne Warwick was seemingly tired of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” while listening to the Drake diss for an interview with NPR for a segment titled “Nobody Asked for This (But I’m Gonna Tell You Anyhow),” in which she reviewed modern music. When the interview played the hit song, Warwick asked why the two rappers took their feud public in the first place. “This is the look of ‘why’?” she said. “I don’t think that this should be a public thing. So as far as I’m concerned, I’m not going to rate this one.”

It’s not the first time she’s abstained from commenting on the viral beef. Back in April, a fan on X (formerly Twitter) asked her about J. Cole’s involvement and for her to address the situation. “No. I will continue to mind my business,” she said in response.

Elsewhere in the interview, Warwick discussed Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, and Sabrina Carpenter. For Roan, she praised the singer’s hit song, “Good Luck, Babe!” saying, “She’s got her own thing going on. That’s a wonderful thing.” For Charli, she admitted to not knowing about her album, Brat, but enjoyed the song, “Guess.” As for Carpenter, she discussed “Please, Please, Please, ” which she gave a four-and-a-half out of five.

Check out Warwick’s full comments on Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and more below. They come after the NFL announced that Lamar will be headlining the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, next February. In the announcement video, he threw shade at Drake.
