Kanye West Honored Diddy With A Surprise And Slightly Head-Scratching Appearance At The 2022 BET Awards

Sunday night’s 2022 BET Award show was filled with plenty of key moments. None may have top the unexpected appearance that Kanye West during the show. It occurred during speeches for Diddy’s tribute set, which went down after Diddy led a tribute performance for himself with help from Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, The LOX, Lil’ Kim, Busta Rhymes, Bryson Tiller, and Faith Evans. After Babyface shared some words about Diddy, he welcomed Kanye West on stage to speak about Diddy who appeared in a heavy jacket and sunglasses over a dark face mask that seemed to be a bit hard for him to breathe in.

During his speech, Kanye explained his recent hiatus from the public eye, saying, “I took a little hiatus. I said I wanted to just, like, declare myself legally dead for a year.” He then noted that he made his way to the BET Awards stage because “Puff is pretty persistent.” Kanye did thank Diddy for being such a heavy influence on his life and artistry, but he did so in a very Kanye-esque way. “He inspired so many of my choices,” he said. “So many of my life choices. My wife choices. And here we are. Thanks for that, Puff.” Elsewhere, Kanye thanked Diddy for his knowledge about contracts and suggested some nitrous oxide “if anybody is stressed out.”

One of Drake close friends, DJ Carnage took to TikTok to show off Drizzy’s fit and asking TikTok to rate it. The “Jimmy Cooks” artist donned a navy blue leather Ma$e jersey, baggy jeans and white air force ones.

Carnage first compliments his friend. He then asks how he feels. Drake does his best Ma$e dance impression, along withe a Harlem Shake. What would you rate Drake’s Puffy and Ma$e-inspired fit.

The homage comes on the heels of French Montana’s story of helping to squash the beef between his two friends, Drake and Diddy.

With the release of Honestly, Nevermind, we’re going to see more of Drake as he promotes his project.

He even went online to defend the project after its initial criticism. The Toronto native urged that he’ll wait for fans to “catch up,” in regards to the House and Jersey club influenced-project that the album possessed.

Nevertheless, it will continue usher its way into our playlist as Summer is underway, despite its criticism.

Chris Brown Says That Diddy Did Not Want To Sign Him To Bad Boy Records

Chris Brown

As Chris Brown has been hitting a string of interviews as he readies for the release of his upcoming studio album, Breezy.

In a preview for his upcoming Drink Champ’s interview with N.O.R.E., and DJ EFN, Chris Brown says that Diddy once passed up on a chance to sign him when he was a younger artist.

“The funniest part, a lot of people don’t know this but Diddy turned me down,” Chris said. “It’s love now. This is family, my brother now…Imma keep it 100. I was 12 at this time, this is before I went to the Def Jam shit. It was me and one of my production manager’s sons named TJ, he’s my brother to this day, but me and him were like a group-“

N.O.R.E. then asked Breezy what the name of the group was supposed to be. “What was the name of y’all group?”

“Man, we didn’t have no name,” Breezy said. “This is why he ain’t sign you,” N.O.R.E. replied. “Y’all ain’t have your shit together, Chris.”

In another clip from the episode, Chris spoke about how Bow Wow was supposed to be featured on his 2005 hit song “Run It!” Instead, Julez Santana was featured.

“Shad is my brother man, but Shad be cappin’ sometimes, but I love Shad,” Chris said. “So Bow right? He definitely was the first person who said, ‘Look you wanna get on tour? I’m gonna show you how to do that.’ It was like he was not a hater…Bow was like the first one. When we did ‘Run It!’ in Hit Factory in Miami I was like 14 and he was like, ‘Well who do you wanna feature?’ and I was like, ‘Juelz Santana.’”

The latest Drink Champs episode is set to premiere today, June 23.
