Diddy’s E-Commerce Platform ‘Empower Global’ Loses 18 Business Partners

Diddy

After a flood of sexual abuse allegations, Diddy is facing another major setback. A total of 18 businesses have reportedly decided to sever their relationships with the hip-hop mogul’s e-commerce platform, Empower Global.

Cutting Ties

Following a surge of sexual abuse accusations, Diddy, also known as Sean “Diddy” Combs, has encountered yet another significant obstacle.

Several businesses have decided to terminate their association with Diddy’s e-commerce platform, Empower Global. The platform, designed to support black-owned businesses, was launched in July 2023.

However, following a series of sexual abuse allegations against Diddy, these businesses have decided to cut ties. The decision to part ways with Empower Global came after Cassie Ventura, also known as Cassie, Diddy’s former girlfriend, filed a lawsuit against him on November 16, 2023.

‘We Will Not Associate With Anything Or Anyone That Is Counter To Our Values’

This lawsuit, along with the other sexual abuse claims, has led businesses like House of Takura and Fulaba to make the difficult decision to distance themselves from Diddy. Annette Njau, founder of House of Takura, stated:

“This decision was made on the day that Casandra Ventura filed her lawsuit, We take the allegations against Mr. Combs very seriously and find such behavior abhorrent and intolerable. We believe in victims’ rights, and support victims in speaking their truth, even against the most powerful of people. Haby Barry, founder of Fulaba, echoed this sentiment, saying “Fulaba is all about empowering women and girls. We will not associate with anything or anyone that is counter to our values.”

Social media users have reacted to the news, where one user named @TPrintress wrote, “This is for every artist he stole from and allowed to starve while he and his family lived like royalty off of THE ARTIST’S hard work.” Another user named @hartofamerica76 wrote, “In light of this, find out who these 18 and growing Black-owned businesses are and support them. Don’t allow Diddy to negatively ruin more Black lives. I applaud them for taking moral stands.”

‘These Harrowing Allegations Have Expedited Our Decision’

According to Rolling Stone, Diddy invested over $20 million in Empower Global. Additionally, the e-commerce platform required sellers to pay a $35 monthly subscription fee and a 10% cut of sales as a marketplace fee.

However, the shocking sexual abuse allegations and the platform’s alleged lackluster performance have prompted some brands to terminate their relationships with Diddy. Rebecca Allen, founder of a luxury footwear brand, mentioned:

“We enjoyed working with the team, but have not seen meaningful sales, so we were already planning to terminate our relationship at the end of this year. These harrowing allegations have expedited our decision, and we ended our partnership with Empower Global earlier this month.”

The Downfall Of Diddy: Harlem Charter School Ends Partnership

After a flood of lawsuits, Diddy has suffered another blow to his reputation. Capital Prep Harlem, a charter school the hip-hop mogul helped launch in 2016, has announced the end of its partnership with him.

Capital Prep Harlem Cuts Ties With Diddy

Amidst a series of legal challenges, Diddy faces another hit to his reputation with a new development in an ongoing legal battle.

Capital Prep Harlem’s decision comes amidst the latest sexual assault allegations against the Bad Boy CEO, including accusations from his former girlfriend Cassie and two other women from the 1990s. This development adds to the ongoing scrutiny surrounding the influential entrepreneur and music producer.

Capital Prep Harlem Issues A Statement

Capital Prep Harlem, a public, tuition-free charter school providing a college preparatory education rooted in social justice, released a statement on November 29, revealing their decision to sever ties with Diddy. Dr. Steve Perry, the founder of Capital Preparatory Schools, addressed the partnership termination, stating:

“Following a comprehensive evaluation, a decision has been made to end the partnership between Capital Preparatory Schools and Sean Combs. While this decision was not made lightly, we firmly believe it is in the best interest of our organization’s health and future.” The school’s move is seen as a significant blow to Diddy’s philanthropic endeavors.

Diddy had played a pivotal role in the establishment of Capital Prep Harlem and had even donated $1 million in 2021 to support the school’s Bronx location.

Diddy’s Downfall

However, shortly after he announced his temporary step down as the chairman of REVOLT, the school decided to sever ties with him.

The sexual assault allegations against Diddy and the subsequent controversy seem to have influenced the school’s decision. Despite the school’s announcement, Diddy has remained silent about Capital Prep Harlem’s decision to end their partnership.

The Downfall Of Diddy

Cassie’s lawsuit against Diddy may have been settled, but it’s not quite settled in the hip-hop mogul’s empire. Diddy has recently stepped down from the REVOLT chairmanship and lost a significant number of deals and brand cache.

‘Sean Combs Has Stepped Down’

Diddy’s resignation as REVOLT Chairman, announced on November 28, 2023, has left many wondering why his decision was made. On Instagram, REVOLT TV released a statement:

“Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as Chairman of REVOLT. While Mr. Combs has previously had no operational or day-to-day role in business, this decision helps ensure that REVOLT remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora. Our focus has always been one that reflects our commitment to the collective journey of REVOLT – one that is not driven by any individual, but by the shared efforts and values of our entire team on behalf of advancing, elevating and championing our culture – and that continues.”

Preceding this, on Nov. 16, Diddy encountered significant legal issues stemming from a lawsuit filed by R&B singer and former girlfriend Cassie.

She alleged the Bad Boy CEO had subjected her to physical and sexual abuse throughout their decade-long relationship. Subsequent to the filing of the lawsuit, Diddy settled the legal case within 24 hours.

‘Deleon Day Party’ Canceled

In addition to stepping down from REVOLT, Diddy’s brand suffered a blow when his Deleón Day Party was canceled due to the lawsuit filed by Cassie.

On November 17, a day after the lawsuit was filed, the cancellation was announced stating:

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the unfortunate cancellation of Sunday’s highly anticipated. DELEÓN Day Party. Recent, serious allegations against DELEON Tequila owner, Sean “Puff” Combs, have compelled us to take immediate action. In light of these circumstances, we believe it is in the best interest of our community to regrettably cancel the event. We understand the disappointment this may bring, but we remain committed to the values of integrity and accountability. However, we are excited to share that we have something special in the works for Tuesday, November 21st. We encourage you to stay tuned for an announcement that reflects the spirit and dedication to our community that has always been at the core of AGENDA. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”

Macy’s Cuts Ties With Diddy’s ‘Sean John’

Furthermore, Diddy faced yet another setback when it was reported on November 22 that his clothing brand Sean John was being phased out of its two-decade partnership with Macy’s.

In May 2010, Sean John entered into a distribution agreement with Macy’s department store, designating Macy’s and Macys.com as the exclusive distributors of Sean John sportswear at both retail and online levels. As part of this arrangement, Sean John and Macy’s expanded the brand’s distribution to numerous Macy’s stores and established exclusive marketing partnerships with the NBA

Will His Grammy Be Rescinded?

Adding to his woes, there are concerns about Diddy’s upcoming nomination for “Best Progressive R&B Album” at the 66th annual Grammy Awards. This leads fans to wonder if Diddy’s nomination will be taken away by the Recording Academy

One fan named @invisibiliss wrote, “Are they gone replace Diddy Grammy nomination with someone else or nah?? I have ideas on who can go there..” Another user named @MsNadaNee wrote, “Will @RecordingAcad take Diddy’s Grammy nomination away???”

Grammy nominations, which have been retracted in the past, were the case with Milli Vanilli in the 1990s. It was discovered that they did not sing any of the vocals on their music releases, making them the only artists to have their Grammy rescinded.

Grammy Noms Revoked?

In the realm of Grammy nominations being rescinded, there may be a possibility. In 2022, shock rockstar Marilyn Manson initially received two nominations for his contributions to Kanye West’s album Donda

According to the New York Times, the former nomination was revoked after Manson was excluded as a writer of the song in the updated version of Donda. The Record Academy CEO, Harvey Mason Jr., clarified in a recent interview that only Manson’s work would be considered for the award, and that his ongoing legal issues didn’t interfere as he was charged with sexual abuse charges in 2021.

 Harvey Mason Jr. stated:

“[The Record Academy] won’t restrict the people who can submit their material for consideration. We won’t look back at people’s history, we won’t look at their criminal record, we won’t look at anything other than the legality within our rules of, is this recording for this work eligible based on date and other criteria. If it is, they can submit for consideration. What we will control is our stages, our shows, our events, our red carpets. We’ll take a look at anyone who is asking to be a part of that, asking to be in attendance, and we’ll make our decisions at that point. But we’re not going to be in the business of restricting people from submitting their work for our voters to decide on.”

R&B singer, R. Kelly, who is currently imprisoned on sex trafficking charges, also had rumors swirling about the rescission of his Grammy awards in 2021. However, Mason Jr. stated:

“Right now, I think it’s something that is going to take a little bit more consideration before we can really dictate or decide,” he continued. “My initial feeling is we’re probably not a business that we want to be in of taking people’s awards back after they’ve been given. But we’ll take a good look at it and see.”

SOHH, Is Diddy Banned From The Grammys?

As many are wondering about Diddy’s whereabouts for the upcoming Grammys, it is alleged that some stars are also refusing to sit near him due to the abuse lawsuit filed against him. According to the Mirror, a music insider stated:

“The formal invitations go out this month. There’s conflict at the academy as several voting members do not think it would be appropiate to invite Diddy.”

Foot Locker Rejects Ye

In a similar vein, the world of celebrities has seen instances where deals have been rejected or revoked due to controversial statements or behaviors. Kanye West, for example, faced rejection from Foot Locker after making anti-Semitic remarks, causing backlash and fears of further controversy.

50 Cent Continues His Relentless Trolling Campaign Against Diddy

In the wake of a series of allegations made against Diddy recently, 50 Cent has had a field day revitalizing their old beef. It started when a pretty scathing lawsuit was filed against Diddy by Cassie, alleging some pretty serious allegations of abuse. Though the suit was settled very quickly, that didn’t stop many in the hip-hop world from weighing in on it. Alternatively some like Joe Budden and Yung Miami found themselves in hot water for trying to ignore the allegations entirely.

But since then, a trio of new lawsuits have been filed against Diddy making equally serious claims of abuse dating all the way back to the early 90s. The legendary rap mogul has gone pretty quiet publicly while denying all of the allegations made against him through his lawyers. As increasingly serious allegations have emerged many of Diddy’s critics have gotten more serious in their responses. But 50 Cent is the exception, continuing to crack jokes at the rap moguls expense. Check out his most recent shots at Diddy below.

Cassie’s Best Friend Exposes Shocking Alleged Details About Diddy In Open Letter

Cassie

A Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and close friend of R&B singer Cassie, has released a candid open letter to rap mogul Diddy. The letter revealed more shocking details about their alleged experiences.

‘Dear Sean Combs’

On Thursday, Dec. 7, Tiffany Red, a Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and close friend of Cassie penned an open letter to Diddy. In the letter, Red addresses her fears for her safety stands in solidarity with Cassie, and shares her encounters with Diddy.

https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0joESts_B4/?igshid=MTc4MmM1YmI2Ng==

The open letter, published in Rolling Stone, delves into the Bad Boy CEO’s alleged abusive behavior and control over Cassie, shedding light on a dark side of the music industry. Tiffany Red begins her open letter by writing:

“Dear Sean Combs, I’m stepping forward to recount my experience as a witness to events detailed in my friend Cassandra Ventura’s now-settled civil lawsuit against you. I’m breaking my silence, freeing myself form haunting recollections, standing in solidarity with Cassie, and standing up for myself. I fear for my safety as her suit alludes to me, although not by name. I hope that revealing my identity to the public will afford me some measure of protection.”

Red recounted the history of her and Cassie’s relationship, as the two became friends in 2015 when Tiffany co-wrote songs for Cassie’s album that was never released. Tiffany Redd alluded to Diddy never releasing the album. She further stated:

“I’m one of the friends mentioned in her lawsuit, specifically from the night of her 29th birthday, as detailed in the section labeled ‘Mr. Combs Forces Ms. Ventura Into Sex Trafficking.’”

‘Loyal’

Following this, Red detailed the first time she met Diddy, which occurred in August 2015 at a surprise party that Diddy threw for Cassie’s 29th birthday at a hotel in Los Angeles.

Upon their meeting, Redd stated that Diddy approached her, saying, “So you’re the one writing all these songs about me?” She responded with a yes, to which Diddy remarked, “That means she’s talking to you, huh?”

The singer-songwriter explained that she and Cassie collaborated on a song titled “Loyal,” which Diddy did not like. Redd then shared Cassie’s lyrics for the first verse, which went:

“I don’t know what is real, I just know how I feel, and you keep acting like you don’t know what you did wrong, trying to get me to chill. Since we ain’t been together, I been on some whatever.”

Tiffany went on to describe her encounter with Diddy’s security guards, where one of them approached her, saying, “I heard a lot about you, Tiffany,” which ultimately creeped her out and, to her, was “super intimidating.” She stated:

“It felt like you both wanted me to know that you knew who I was and you didn’t like how close I was to her.”

The ‘Blind Dragon’ Incident

After those events transpired, it was alleged that Cassie expressed a desire to go to a karaoke spot called Blind Dragon on Sunset Blvd with friends.

Diddy, however, was displeased with Cassie’s decision to leave, and his entourage hovered over her, attempting to discourage her from doing so. Shortly after their departure, Diddy followed the two. Allegedly, Diddy pulled Cassie out of the private karaoke room, and Tiffany claimed that Cassie appeared afraid.

The karaoke night was abruptly cut short, prompting Cassie to ask Tiffany and two other friends if they would meet her back at her place and stay the night. Cassie explained that she planned to stop to grab a bag and then leave with Diddy. Tiffany stated:

“Prior to this incident, she had confided in me that you were physically abusive, and the way you were that night was alarming to me. I didn’t want to leave her alone.” Tiffany ultimately went to Cassie’s home, where she claimed she was awakened by Diddy screaming, saying, “Emotional singing bitch, where are you?!” As Tiffany walked out of the bedroom, Diddy said to her, “Emotional singing b*tch, there you are.”

She explained that Diddy appeared intoxicated, and Cassie seemed “withdrawn and sedated.” He then started yelling at them, saying:

“Tell your girl she wants some birthday d*ck. I flew all the way from Miami. She’s going to get this birthday d*ck.” Tiffany told him, “She doesn’t have to have sex with you if she doesn’t want to.”

As Diddy continued to scream, “She’s going to get this d*ck.” Following those events, it was alleged that Cassie told Tiffany that Diddy made her participate in a “Freak Off,” as mentioned in the lawsuit, where Diddy would allegedly force Cassie to have sex with male prostitutes.

‘You’re Right, Puff. Enough is Enough’

As all of these events unfolded, Tiffany also revealed that she was part of Cassie’s management team in 2019, which was a year after Cassie left Diddy. She claimed she saw the mogul try to “silence” the R&B singer by attempting to “tie a non-disparagement clause to the record deal termination agreement.” She felt it was “unjust.”

Following the release of the letter, Tiffany Red has taken to social media to further highlight it. She took to Instagram, writing, “You’re right, Puff. Enough is Enough,” which alludes to Diddy’s statement as he broke his silence since his fourth sexual abuse allegation was publicized.

She continued, “#Free, Love you Cas, Pause to read. Thank you, GOD, for holding me through this. Thank you @rollingstone for giving my voice and my story a platform. Thank you to my support system and @the100percenters_ team, as this journey has been heavy. #Diddy.”

Diddy’s Ex-Bodyguard Accuses Hip-Hop Mogul Of Plotting To Exploit Danity Kane Members

Diddy, the renowned music mogul, is mired in controversy once again as shocking allegations emerge from his former bodyguard, Gene Deal. In a recent interview, Deal claimed that the hip-hop mogul had planned to hook all the members of the girl group Danity Kane on drugs and exploit them by pimping them out to his acquaintances.

More Shocking Allegations

This hair-raising revelation comes amidst a lawsuit filed by R&B singer and former girlfriend Cassie, who accused Diddy of physical and sexual abuse during their decade-long relationship.

As more details unfold, it becomes evident that Diddy’s dark secrets are gradually coming to light. Horrifying accusations have surfaced from Diddy’s former bodyguard, Gene Deal, shedding light on a disturbing plan to use and exploit the members of Danity Kane.

Deal revealed in a recent interview with The Art of Dialogue that Diddy had made explicit remarks, stating:

“Imma drug them out and pimp them out to my n*ggas,” allegedly referring to the girl group members.

NDAs

Danity Kane, originally formed and created by Bad Boy Records, consisted of Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, D. Woods, and Aundrea Fimbres

The group experienced commercial success with hit singles such as “Damaged” and “Show Stopper.” Moreover, the claims made by Gene Deal suggest that only some of the members of Danity Kane signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs). He stated:

“They have NDAs, non-disclosures, but there are some artists that didn’t say anything , didn’t sign it, and they are able to talk about anything they want to. And they were these girls, Danity Kane, I think a couple of them didn’t sign it. They’re probably going to go after him too.”

Former member Aubrey O’Day previously disclosed in September 2023 that she did not sign an NDA, revealing that Bad Boy Records had approached her regarding relinquishing her publishing rights but insisted that she should sign an NDA in exchange.

Diddy’s Former Bodyguard Shares Further Explosive Details On Recent Cassie Allegations

Diddy’s former head of security, Roger Bonds, has taken to social media to speak further on the allegations made by R&B singer and ex-girlfriend Cassie, against the Bad Boy mogul.

Bonds Speaks Out

On Nov. 16, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, alleging him of sexual and physical abuse throughout their relationship.

The lawsuit was later settled, with the hip-hop mogul agreeing to the terms within 24 hours of it being filed. Following the settlement, Diddy’s former bodyguard, Roger Bonds, decided to share his perspective.

Taking to his Instagram story, Bonds wrote:

“This is not meant to be threats or snitching or anything like that against Cassie or Diddy or anyone else. this is me telling my truth as I truly remember it for 2 reasons only, 1st because I have 4 daughter so on all duded my truth as I seen it, saw it and was involved with it for yrs.” He continued, “Now that my name is involved I will tell my TRUTH.”

The Statement

Cassie’s court document mentioned Bonds as a witness to an alleged assault she claims she suffered at the hands of Diddy in 2009.

According to Cassie, the Bad Boy CEO became violent after learning she was talking to another music manager at a club in Los Angeles. Cassie also alleged that Diddy stomped on her in the car afterward, with Bonds trying to intervene to stop his boss.

In response to Roger Bonds, fans have taken to social media to express their thoughts. One fan named @luckylandtimes wrote, ‘The witness MEN need to be putting a BEAT DOWN on these hitters. Stop turning ya’lls head and school these cowards in real time.”

Another fan named @uzoplease wrote, ‘Diddy’s former bodyguard who Cassie named in her lawsuit is speaking out, long may this continue.”

Another Former Bodyguard Comes Forward?

Another person to speak out about Diddy and Cassie’s relationship is Gene Deal, another former bodyguard of Diddy.

On the Art of Dialogue, Deal alleges that Cassie’s abuse story mirrors that of Diddy’s late baby’s mother, Kim Porter. He claims that Diddy broke Porter’s nose on a yacht, stating:

“That’s Kim story. That’s Kim’s book. Didn’t you hear about the fact that he broke Kim’s nose on a yacht? He continued, “But it was told by people in her camp that he broke Kim’s nose on yacht. So, Cassie’s story is Kim’s story.”

Surviving Diddy: More Reactions To The Music Mogul’s Alleged Abuse

Diddy is facing intense scrutiny as numerous people in the music industry speak out about his alleged abusive behavior. In an unfolding saga being dubbed “Surviving Diddy,” former artists and associates are speaking out after singer/model Cassie filed a lawsuit accusing the music mogul of sexual and physical assault during their 10-year relationship.

Danity Kane Members Speak Out

In the wake of the shocking lawsuit filed by Cassie on Nov. 16, former artists on Diddy’s Bad Boy Records have come forward including members of the female pop group, Danity Kane. The group was prominently featured in the MTV series, Making the Band, where Diddy engaged aspiring singers in a survival-like contest to win a coveted spot in his band and recording deal on Bad Boy Records. DK members have accused him of owing them money and fostering a detrimental atmosphere.

Aubrey O’Day, a member of Danity Kane, shared on her Instagram story on Nov. 16  that she refused to sign an NDA in exchange for her music publishing. She has shared on social media and in interviews of her own abuse by Diddy. O’Day also posted screenshots of phone calls with Willie Taylor of the Bad Boy R&B group Day 26, further suggesting a toxic work environment created by the music mogul.

Dawn Richards, another DK member also took to Twitter (X) to offer prayers for Cassie and her family, expressing her support and admiration for the R&B singer’s bravery.

”Praying for Cassie and her family, for peace and healing. you are beautiful and brave, “Richards commented.

Even DK member D.Woods, who has not posted on social media since June 2022, returned to her Twitter (X)  account to send kind words to Cassie, expressing her admiration for Cassie’s strength and offering her full support:

“Cassie @cassie You are incredibly brave to shine light on what you endured in the dark. I’m sorry you had to go through it alone. I’m praying for your continued strength and I offer my full support to you,” Woods commented.

More Reactions To Cassie’s Lawsuit Against Diddy

Supermodel and entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons took to her Instagram story on Nov. 17 and posted, “As you sow, so shall you reap,” referring to karma for one’s actions and seemingly alluding to the repercussions Diddy might face.  Kimora was recently engaged in her own war with former husband, Russell Simmons, who has been accused of similar sexual abuse.

Cassie’s Personal Assistant: “It’s All True”

Additionally, Cassie’s personal assistant, Dexter James, posted multiple phrases  on his Instagram story by saying phrases such as “It’s All True!,” and “Surviving Diddy.” James also shared a picture of him and Cassie, calling the allegations true and expressing his support for her.

“ITS ALL TRUE! I was Cassie’s personal assistant and seen a lot during my days beside her! She’s a very strong woman and deserves every penny! The things she endured you could never imagine!”

Cassie’s husband, Alex Fine reposted a picture of them on their wedding day on his Instagram story, giving his support.

‘Damn Brother Love’

On November 16, 50 Cent posted a confused look selfie on his X account to poke fun at Diddy for his latest allegations:

“Damn bother love, brother love, brother love, you out here looking CRAZY AS A MF LMAO,” 50 Cent wrote.

The rapper/television mogul has also shared that he used to be uncomfortable when he was invited to Diddy’s parties.

In October 2023, a clip surfaced of 50 Cent during his Final Lap Tour in Norway, where he expressed his aversion to attending Diddy’s parties. On stage, he stated Diddy’s parties are not his “type of party.”

Keke Palmer’s Mother Threatens To Put ‘A Bullet’ In Ex-Boyfriend’s Head

Instances of abuse are sadly prevalent in the entertainment industry, with actress Keke Palmer recently filing a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson. Jackson, who is also the father of Palmer’s child, has been accused of verbal and physical assault during their relationship, echoing the importance of shedding light on the issue of abuse.

Although “Me & U” singer Cassie Ventura had already agreed to settle her abuse and sexual assault lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Sean “Diddy” Combs, the fallout from the suit refuses to do the same. In the aftermath of the quick settlement, three more women have filed similar lawsuits against Combs. While Combs’ representatives have denied the accusations, calling the lawsuits a string of “money grabs,” Rolling Stone has published an open letter from songwriter Tiffany Red, who worked with Cassie, in which she corroborates some of the singer’s accusations against Diddy.

In the letter, Red cites fears for her safety as her reason for coming forward now; the lawsuit alludes to her while not mentioning her by name. She writes that she hopes that publicly revealing her identity will help protect her. She details how she and Cassie became close while writing songs together in 2015 and how one song in particular, “Loyal,” caught Diddy’s attention as it appeared to push back against the alleged pattern of abuse and manipulation he’d established in their relationship.

Red says Diddy confronted her at a surprise birthday party he threw for Cassie in 2015, where he also allegedly threatened Ventura while she was surrounding by his security guards. Later, Red describes an intoxicated Combs yelling at her at Cassie’s home, commanding her to tell Cassie “she wants some birthday dick.” The letter also reaffirms many of the accusations from Cassie’s lawsuit — that Diddy coerced her into taking drugs (getting “so high,” Red was worried she’d overdose), threatening her, and using her terminated record deal to keep her from speaking out.

Although Cassie and Diddy have settled the original lawsuit, the effects of having additional witnesses for her accusations of abuse could harm Diddy’s standing in the public eye — which could also spell trouble for him should the new lawsuits proceed to trial.

What Are The Lawsuits & Allegations Diddy Is Facing?

Content warning: This article contains explicit descriptions of sexual assault and rape.

For the better part of three weeks, troubling allegations have swirled around Diddy. Earlier today, December 6, Page Six reported that Diddy is named in a new lawsuit alleging he gang-raped and sex-trafficked a then-17-year-old girl.

Diddy responded with a statement provided to Page Six, reading, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Below is what you need to know about the allegations and lawsuits aimed at Diddy.

Cassie Files A Lengthy Lawsuit

November 16: The New York Times (among other reputed outlets) reported that Cassie Ventura had filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Federal District Court.

The suit is extremely nuanced and graphically detailed, but the varied allegations said to have happened between 2005 (when Cassie was 19 and signed to Diddy’s Bad Boy label) and 2018, span, per The New York Times, “a pattern of control and abuse that included plying her with drugs, beating her, and forcing her to have sex with a succession of male prostitutes while he filmed the encounters.” There was also one rape allegation from 2018, before their romantic relationship ended.

Diddy Settles With Cassie

November 17: Despite vehemently denying all the allegations in Cassie’s lawsuit, Diddy reached a settlement with her the day after its filing. The terms of the settlement were not publicly disclosed, but Cassie and Diddy each released statements sharing that they “decided to resolve this matter amicably.”

On November 18, Benjamin Brafman, Diddy’s attorney, released a statement to clarify, according to The Hollywood Reporter, that the settlement was in “no way an admission of wrongdoing,” and “Mr. Combs’ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Two More Women Allege Sexual Assault And Rape

November 23: On Thanksgiving, New York’s Adult Survivors Act expired. The act, as explained by Billboard, “created a one-year window for alleged survivors to take legal action over years-old accusations that would typically be barred under the statute of limitations.” Two more women filed lawsuits against Diddy before its expiration, and Diddy denied them via a statement from an unnamed spokesperson calling them “fabricated claims […] filed at the last minute. This is nothing but a money grab.”

The Hollywood Reporter reported another lawsuit filed against Diddy for allegedly “drugging sexually assaulting [Joi Dickerson-Neal] when she was a college student at Syracuse University in 1991.”

Later that day, as first reported by Rolling Stone, a woman identified publicly as Jane Doe “alleges [Diddy] and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns raping” her and her friend in 1990 or 1991. The lawsuit alleges violence as well.

Diddy Steps Down From Revolt

November 28: Revolt announced that Diddy, who co-founded the media company, had “stepped down from his position as Chairman of Revolt.”

50 Cent Chimes In

December 1: Page Six reported that 50 Cent, noted Diddy disliker, is “in early development on a TV doc about rival Diddy and allegations of abuse by his longtime partner Cassie and others.” It would be done by his G-Unit Films and Television.

50 Cent acknowledged the report on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “RAPPER [eyeballs emoji] I thought Diddy was a Billionaire music mogul, If he’s smart he will file bankruptcy now. Anyone with real money knows why I’m saying this. Im the best producer for the job guys. here come the receipts.”

Diddy’s Former Employees Speak Out

December 5: On Tuesday, Rolling Stone‘s Andre Gee wrote a piece examining the men who have publicly corroborated Cassie’s lawsuit or made new troubling allegations of drugging or violence from their time either being around or working for Diddy. They include Bad Boy rapper Mark Curry and former bodyguards Gene Deal and Roger Bonds.

Yet Another Rape Allegation and Diddy Denial

December 6: And we’re back to where we started. Earlier today, publications such as The New York Times and Rolling Stone reported the latest lawsuit filed against Diddy. This one was filed in Manhattan’s Federal District Court by an unnamed woman, alleging thatDiddy “and two other men gang-raped her in a New York recording studio 20 years ago, when she was 17 years old.”

The New York Times summarized the suit’s allegations:

“The woman says in the complaint that she met two associates of Mr. Combs at a lounge in the Detroit area, and they took her on a private plane to New York. There, the suit says, the three men gave the woman copious amounts of drugs and alcohol, and took turns raping her in the studio’s bathroom as she drifted in and out of consciousness.

“When they were done, the suit says, the woman fell into a fetal position in a bathroom, lying on the floor in pain, and she was soon driven to an airport and put on a plane back to Michigan.”

Diddy’s first direct public statement immediately followed, as written above.

Diddy Denies Sexual Assault Allegations As 4th Victim Comes Forward

Diddy

Diddy has been hit with his fourth sexual assault allegation as a new lawsuit emerges. The accuser, a 17-year-old girl referred to as Jane Doe, claims that the hip-hop mogul, along with former Bad Boy president Harve Pierre and another unidentified man, trafficked and gang-raped her in 2003. Diddy has since taken to his social media to break his silence, denying the allegations.

Diddy Slammed With 4th Lawsuit

Diddy faces a fourth sexual assault accusation as a new lawsuit comes to light. In the 14-page lawsuit, Jane Doe alleges that she was introduced to the Bad Boy CEO through Harve Pierre, who claimed to be a close friend.

Pierre arranged for Jane Doe to meet Diddy and invited her on a spontaneous trip to New York aboard a private jet.

The lawsuit details how Jane Doe was transported to Diddy’s recording studio and subjected to non-consensual and violent sexual acts by Diddy (also known as Sean Combs) and the unidentified third man. There are photos included as evidence, showing Diddy with the teenage girl, as she was 17 years old, and he was 34 years old at the time.

Another ‘Trigger Warning’

In the legal document, numerous allegations implicate the three men. The lawsuit incorporates a “trigger warning,” akin to the previous filing by R&B singer Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie

Furthermore, Attorney Douglas H. Wigdor lodged the latest lawsuit on behalf of the teenager. Notably, he had previously represented Cassie in her high-profile lawsuit, which surfaced on Nov. 16.

The lawsuit leveled accusations against Diddy for sexual assault and trafficking. Following the filing of the lawsuit, both parties settled within 24 hours.

Pertaining to the document, it provides graphic details of Combs engaging in non-consensual intercourse with the woman, who did not consent to sexual activity with Combs. She described the incident as everything being a “blur,” and recounted that Combs removed her undergarments and penetrated her from behind with his penis while she was positioned over the sofa.

More Details Revealed

The lawsuit also claims that Diddy and his associates took turns sexually assaulting Jane Doe while she was barely conscious.

According to the filing, Diddy watched the assault from a nearby chair, while the men violated the young girl. After the assault, Jane Doe was left alone in the bathroom, unable to walk, until she regained enough strength to be taken back to the airport and flown back to Michigan.

The filing alleges that Diddy had connections with the Black Mafia Family, a reputed drug trafficking and money laundering operation in Michigan.

‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’

Diddy has released a three-sentence statement on Instagram addressing the allegations, where he stated:

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, and destroy my reputation and my legacy. Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Fans were not here for Diddy’s statement where one user named @waterlilysam wrote, “Ummm…. Didn’t you just settle a case in TWENTY FOUR HOURS with a woman you tried to claim was extorting you? I wonder why you did that if you never did any of those awful things. The math ain’t mathing Sean.”

Another user named @chrxterino wrote, “Diddy, this ain’t the 90s nor 2000s, you can’t issue a PR statement regarding your reputation when many been saying this for years. You’re guilty & you’re upset at what you did.”

Diageo Seeks To Block Diddy From New Ads

Diddy

Liquor giant Diageo has taken legal action to prevent Diddy from participating in their new advertisements. The news follows in light of a recent flood of sexual assault allegations against the hip-hop mogul.

Diageo Wants to Block Diddy

Diageo is seeking to block Diddy’s control over a $15 million marketing budget for DeLéon Tequila, stating that it would be “unfair and damaging” for the brand and Diageo

In a statement to Rolling Stone, representatives from Diageo claimed it would be “unfair” and devastating for a judge to grant his request for control over an incoming $15 million marketing budget for DeLéon Tequila:

“The disturbing allegations against Mr. Combs set forth in these lawsuits underscore that any DeLeón campaign featuring Mr. Combs would compound and amplify the harm that he has already caused DeLeón,” Diageo lawyers wrote to Justice Joel M. Cohen of New York County Supreme Court in the letter dated Dec. 1. “Requiring Diageo to pay for such a campaign would be devastating to the brand and to Diageo more broadly.”

The Allegations

In addition to Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie’s lawsuit, Diageo’s letter highlighted two other women who came forward with allegations against Diddy on Nov. 23.

One woman claimed the Bad Boy CEO drugged and sexually assaulted her while also showing video footage of the assault to others. The second woman alleged that Diddy and singer Aaron Hall took turns raping her and a friend during the early 1990s.

She further stated that Diddy later tracked her down and choked her until she lost consciousness. These disturbing allegations have added weight to Diageo’s request for Diddy’s exclusion from their advertising campaigns.

Diageo Vs. Diddy

The legal dispute between Diddy and Diageo began in May 2023, when Diddy filed a lawsuit accusing Diageo of neglecting his Cîroc vodka and DeLéon tequila brand partnerships. The music mogul/entrepreneur alleged that the company categorized the spirits as “Black brands” and limited their reach to “urban” markets, violating the equal treatment provision of their partnership.

Diddy Escalates Legal Battle With Diageo, Alleging Unlawful Retaliation In Discrimination Lawsuit

Diddy has taken more legal action against Diageo, a British multinational alcoholic beverage company, alleging unlawful retaliation in a racial discrimination lawsuit. This latest development follows after the music mogul made claims, stating the alcoholic beverage company released a watermelon flavor beverage without his consent.

Diddy Takes More Legal Action

Amid the back and forth of a British multinational alcoholic beverage company and music mogul, Diddy has now sued the renowned alcohol brand for unlawful retaliation in the racial discrimination lawsuit.

In June 2023, Diageo announced that it was ending its 15-year partnership with the “Another One of Me” artist. Now, the music mogul alleges that the company has launched a campaign of retaliation against him.

In May 2023, the hip-hop icon filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against Diageo, accusing the company of treating him and his brands, particularly Cîroc Vodka and DeLeón Tequila, unfairly compared to other partners. Diddy claimed that his products were labeled “Black brands” and only marketed to “urban customers” by Diageo

Diddy Blackballed?

The lawsuit alleged that Stephen Rust, Diageo’s President of Reserve and New Business, made racially biased comments, stating that if Diddy were “Martha Stewart,” the treatment would have been different. Diageo has denied these claims.

The lawsuit filed on Friday accuses Diageo of instructing distributors and retailers of DeLeón not to engage with Diddy regarding his own brand. Diddy asserts that this is a deliberate attempt by Diageo to punish him and send a message to others who might speak up against the company.

In an affidavit filed alongside the new suit, Robert T. Chin, Head of Spirits at Combs Wines and Spirits, said:

“Diageo representatives began canceling meetings and failing to timely respond to communications written by Combs Wines’ representatives, which was out of the norm. And, for the first time, Diageo took the position that Mr. Combs was not allowed to attend meetings with Diageo about DeLeón.”

According To The Lawsuit

Diageo responded to Diddy’s latest legal action, criticizing his attempts to extract funds and highlighting their significant investment in the marketing and development of DeLeón compared to Diddy’s nominal $1,000 investment. A Diageo spokesperson told The Daily Beast:

“This is yet another attempt by Mr. Combs to extract funds from Diageo after the organization has invested tens of millions of dollars in the marketing and development of DeLeón, in contrast to Mr. Combs’ total investment of $1,000. We are disappointed that Mr. Combs continues to damage the DeLeón brand while attempting to litigate a business dispute resulting from his own inability to effectively collaborate and sufficiently contribute. These allegations are completely without merit, and we will defend against them.”

In September 2023, the company issued a rebuttal to Combs’ claims in court filings, saying they had “disproportionately supported and grown the DeLeón brand despite Combs Parties’ repeated failures to live up to their own commitments.” Diageo said Combs was focused on “self-enrichment” and had “asked to be paid millions of dollars more under threat of publicly accusing Diageo of racism.”

Lawyers for Combs did not respond to a request for comment.

Diddy Accuses Diageo Of Releasing Watermelon-Flavored Tequila Despite Warning About Racial Connotations

Sean “Diddy” Combs has made allegations against British alcohol company Diageo, claiming they released a watermelon-flavored tequila without his consent. This accusation comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by Diddy against the spirits company in May 2023, in which he accused the company of racism and neglect regarding his tequila brand, DeLeon. Newly revealed claims from the unredacted version of the lawsuit shed light on the alleged racial insensitivity and disregard for the hip-hop mogul’s wishes within the business relationship.

Diageo’s Unauthorized Release Of Watermelon-Flavored Tequila

Diddy has publicly alleged that Diageo, a British alcohol company, released a watermelon-flavored tequila against his wishes. This accusation follows a lawsuit filed by the mogul against Diageo in May 2023, where he claimed that the company exhibited racism and neglect while handling his tequila brand, DeLeon.

According to the unredacted version of the lawsuit, internal documents revealed that both Ciroc and DeLeon, brands associated with Diddy, were referred to as “urban brands” within Diageo’s portfolio. Despite Diddy’s efforts to create a widely appealing and billion-dollar brand, an internal Diageo presentation still classified the vodka as an “urban African American brand tied to one personality.”

Combs further alleged that Diageo referred to his brand, DeLeon, as an “urban” brand, which led to releasing a watermelon-flavored version against his wishes.

Diddy Warns About Racial Connotations; Diageo Denies

Diddy also claimed that Stephen Rust, Diageo’s President of Reserve and New Business, stated that race played a role in limiting the distribution of the Combs brand to specific neighborhoods. Moreover, Diddy accused Diageo of wanting to devalue his relationship with Ciroc and roll back its “image of being an African-American brand.”

In the initial redacted version of the lawsuit, Diddy highlighted racially insensitive incidents allegedly ignored or repeated by Diageo. The unredacted version revealed Diddy’s warning to be cautious about associating watermelon with a brand consistently characterized as an “urban African American brand.”

Additionally, Diddy claimed that Diageo disregarded his request to wait to launch any new flavors of DeLeon until the brand had gained more public recognition, despite Diageo agreeing to proceed with caution and obtaining Diddy’s approval.

In response to Diddy’s allegations, a Diageo representative stated that Diddy publicly supported and financially benefited from the success of Ciroc Summer Watermelon. The representative called Diddy’s attempt to recast discussions regarding innovations for DeLeon disingenuous and self-serving.

They emphasized that Diddy was solely responsible for brand marketing under the Ciroc agreement, and his media agency was DeLeon’s marketing agency of record.

Diageo has vehemently denied all allegations and accused Diddy of making false and reckless claims, including defamatory accusations of racism against the company and its senior executives.

In June 2023, both Diddy and Diageo decided to part ways and end their business relationship.

Diddy Accuses Diageo Of Retaliation Over Racism Claims

Spirits maker Diageo is allegedly attempting to cut ties with Sean “Diddy” Combs after he filed a lawsuit alleging that Diageo failed in marketing his liquor brands similarly to its other brands because he is Black.

Diddy & His Legal Team Fight Back

According to Diddy’s attorney John C. Hueston, Diageo is retaliating against Diddy for filing a lawsuit for discriminatory practices.

“Diageo attempting to end its deals with Mr. Combs is like firing a whistleblower who calls out racism. It’s a cynical and transparent attempt to distract from multiple allegations of discrimination,” states Hueston.  “

The statement continues to state that Diddy has raised concerns about biased decisions made by Diageo over the years and even described “racially insensitive comments” at the liquor giant.

“Diageo even acknowledged the problem by agreeing in his contract to treat DeLeon the same way it treated their other tequila brands. He brought the lawsuit to force them to live up to that contract, and instead they respond by trying to get rid of him.

Despite Diageo’s attempt to terminate the partnership, Diddy, and his legal team are determined to pursue the lawsuit and continue pressing their discrimination claims against the company.

“This lawsuit and Mr. Combs are not going away,” states Hueston.

The partnership between Diddy and Diageo began in 2007 when the beverage company approached him to collaborate on the development of Cîroc vodka. According to a CBS update, a Diageo spokesperson characterized the situation as a mere “business dispute,” expressing disappointment that Diddy chose to frame it differently.

Diddy Sues Liquor Powerhouse Diageo, Accusing Them of Racism and Neglect

Diddy has filed a lawsuit against his business partners at Diageo, a British-based alcohol-distributing company. The rap mogul turned spirits brand entrepreneur alleges that Diageo turned their back on him and his tequila brand, DeLeon.  He accuses Diageo of racism and neglect, claiming that they favored other brands like Don Julio and Casamigos while failing to properly market and invest in DeLeon.

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ lawsuit, through his alcohol LLC Combs Wine and Spirits, stems from his acquisition of DeLeon tequila in 2013. After successfully boosting sales of Ciroc, Diddy brokered a partnership with Diageo to lead all marketing and innovation efforts to promote DeLeon.

However, he alleges that Diageo refused to properly market and invest in DeLeon while giving preferential attention to white-owned brands including Don Julio and Casamigos. Combs perceives this neglect as racially motivated, with his tequila sales declining and DeLeon frequently experiencing stock shortages.  Diddy is seeking compensation for failing to fulfill contractual obligations and potentially billions in damages.

In his lawsuit, Diddy claims that Diageo views his tequila brand as suitable only for “urban consumers,” while focusing more on other popular tequila brands. Don Julio, produced in Mexico, is the largest brand in terms of value in the tequila market, while Casamigos, co-founded by actor George Clooney, is one of the fastest-growing tequila brands. Diddy believes that Diageo’s discriminatory actions have hindered the growth and success of DeLeon.

As part of the lawsuit, Diddy is demanding that Diageo not only compensate for its failure to support his tequila brand as agreed upon in the contract but also potentially pay billions in damages.

Diddy Launches Diddy Direct With DJ Khaled

In an apparent pivot to take control of his alcohol business ventures, Diddy recently teamed up with DJ Khaled to launch Diddy Direct. This platform enables retailers and consumers to easily locate, request, and purchase any items from the Combs Spirits collection, bypassing middlemen like Diageo and marketing directly to customers.

In related business ventures, according to the Wall Street Journal, Combs has purchased three licensed medical operations in three states for $185 million. Those states include New York, Massachusetts, and Illinois. In a similar legal dispute, rap legend Jay-Z settled his disagreement with Bacardi in February. Bacardi purchased a majority stake in Jay-Z’s half of D’Usse, a partnership valued at approximately $750 million, establishing a new partnership.

A New Sexual Assault Lawsuit Against Diddy Claims He Raped A 17-Year-Old Girl

After Sean “Diddy” Combs settled Cassie’s lawsuit against him for abuse and rape, he was accused of further crimes in a new set of lawsuits that a spokesperson called “money grabs.” While Combs was content to allow his lawyers to maintain his innocence in statements to the press, another new lawsuit has him saying “Enough is enough.”

According to Page Six, Combs has been sued again, this time by a woman who claims he and two other men gang raped her in 2003, when she was just 17 years old. Combs’ lastest press statement reads:

“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

In the new suit, the anonymous woman says she and friends were picked up by Harve Pierre, the former president of Bad Boy Entertainment, at a club in Detroit. Pierre told them Combs wanted to meet them, bringing the anonymous Jane Doe to Diddy’s recording studio in New York, where she says she became inebriated and Combs forced himself on her.

According to the lawsuit, “Ms. Doe was reading about Ms. Ventura’s [Cassie’s] allegations of sex trafficking and being forced to have sex with other men against her will. Ms. Doe obviously understands that she too had been sex trafficked, and that Mr Combs behavior in forcing women into nonconsensual sex was not an isolated incident or unique only to Ms. Ventura.”

Diddy Says ‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’ After New Lawsuit Claims He Raped a 17-Year-Old in 2003

Diddy Says 'ENOUGH IS ENOUGH' After New Lawsuit

Another woman has sued Diddy, stating she was sex trafficked and gang-raped while she was a 17-year-old high school student.

According to TMZ, the anonymous accuser stated Bad Boy Entertainment President Harve Pierre met her in 2003 in Detroit. Pierre stated she was “hot,” name-dropped Diddy, and flew her to meet him in NYC. The woman stated she met Diddy in a recording studio and sat on his lap during the session, indulging in drugs and alcohol. The accuser supplied images from the alleged meeting.

She states that everything was a blur following the substances, and she remembered nonconsensual sex in the bathroom with Diddy, followed by Pierre and another man. She states she was left in the fetal position and eventually flown back to Michigan, suffering in silence for 20 years but finding the courage to speak out after Cassie’s lawsuit.

In response, Diddy stated to TMZ, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy.

“Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”

Previously, Pierre had been sued for grooming and sexually assaulting his assistant. The lawsuit states Pierre’s allegations by his assistant occurred “on multiple occasions in New York City and other locations throughout the country” and “used his position of authority as plaintiff’s boss to groom, exploit, and sexually assault her.”

The assistant now seeks damages that will “fully and fairly compensate” the assault. Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy Records, and Combs Enterprises are listed in the suit.

“We have recently become aware of a lawsuit filed in New York by a former employee,” a spokesperson for Bad Boy Records said to Rolling Stone. “The allegations are from many years ago that were never brought to the attention of the company. Neither the plaintiff nor the executive are current employees of the company. We are now investigating the allegations, and our top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees.”

That development came less than a week after Diddy settled a lawsuit with Cassie over accusations that included domestic violence and rape. According to TMZ, the suit was ended in New York on Monday. The doc reads, “Pursuant to an agreement between the parties, Plaintiff hereby dismisses this action, with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party.”

Shortly after news of the lawsuit rattled the world on Thursday, Diddy and Cassie settled the lawsuit on Friday.

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Cassie said after the settlement. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

For the first time since settling his lawsuit with his ex-lover, singer Cassie, Diddy has been spotted. He was spotted outside his Star Island Miami mansion, beside his chief of staff, with his face buried in his hands.

After settling with Cassie following her explosive allegations. Ben Brafman, Diddy’s lawyer, shared a statement:

“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing. Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”

Diddy was sued by his former lover Cassie, stating she was rapped and sex trafficked during their relationship. Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, filed the suit in New York City, stating she was the victim of a “cycle of abuse, violence and sex trafficking.
