When Jamie Foxx was hospitalized with a mysterious illness months ago, many on the internet tried to conduct theories on what happened. Overall, most of these theories eventually went nowhere. However, when Diddy was being investigated for alleged sex crimes, some fans decided to connect Foxx’s hospitalization to Diddy’s alleged misdeeds. Furthermore, much of the speculation was fueled by the actor’s new Netflix special which was taped a few months ago.
According to witnesses who were in the audience, Jamie Foxx had cracked a few jokes about Diddy trying to kill him. Subsequently, the internet went into a frenzy and tried to put the pieces together. Now, clips from the Netflix special are beginning to make the rounds on social media, and a clearer picture is finally being painted. As you will hear down below, Foxx makes it crystal clear that Diddy never tried to kill him. Instead, Foxx makes some hilarious jokes about how he always left Diddy’s parties before 9 PM.
Once again, it seems as though the internet has taken things just a bit too far. Those who were in the audience for the special ended up misrepresenting what was said. Subsequently, internet sleuths decided to piece together theories that were never based on reality. It is the perfect example of what internet culture has become these days. Whether it be politics, or pop culture, the fans are always eager to become Sherlock Holmes. Typically, this rarely actually manifests into anything.
As for Jamie Foxx, it is great to see him doing well and looking healthy. In the Netflix special clip, he seems to be his usual self, and that is wonderful news. Foxx almost died during his health scare, and we cannot imagine a world without his talent. Hopefully, Foxx continues to see health and success, going forward.
JAY-Z is calling for the anonymous accuser in his civil suit alleging sexual assault come forward.
After blasting the charges online, Hov’s attorney, Alex Spiro, is calling for an identity to be released in the suit filed by Tony Buzbee.
“The filing from [JAY-Z’]s attorney, Alex Spiro, specifically requests that the Jane Doe’s identity be disclosed in order to properly defend himself against this false claim through the legal process in a transparent manner,” a press statement reads.
In a letter to Judge Analisa Torres, Spiro writes: “For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Carter is entirely innocent. This is a shake down. He is not mentioned, referenced, or implicated in any way in the criminal investigation of Mr. Combs. He is neither a target nor a person of interest in that investigation.”
JAY-Z has been named as a defendant in a federal lawsuit which alleges that he, together with hip hop impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs, drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000.
The lawsuit was originally filed by an anonymous “Jane Doe” plaintiff in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in October. It named Combs as the defendant, alongside many of his corporate entities, including Bad Boy Entertainment and Bad Boy Records. Yesterday, the lawsuit was amended to add Jay-Z, a co-defendant, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
The lawsuit alleges that 2000 the plaintiff went to the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City without a ticket, hoping to get in. There, a limousine driver who claimed he worked for Combs invited her to an afterparty. He drove her to the party, where she alleges that she was made to sign a document that she believed was a non-disclosure agreement. She further alleges that upon drinking a portion of a beverage that was given to her by one of the waitresses at the party, she began feeling dizzy and lightheaded and found a room with a bed so she could lie down.
The lawsuit alleges that Carter, Combs and an unidentified female celebrity, who Plaintiff recognized, subsequently entered the room, and Carter held her down and raped her while Combs and the woman watched. Then Combs raped her while Carter and the woman watched. The lawsuit further alleges that Combs then tried to force her to perform oral sex on him, but she hit him, grabbed her clothes and ran away, escaping to a gas station outside where she used the phone to call her father.
The lawsuit alleges violation of the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act (VGMVPA). The VGMVPA provides a private cause of action for any individual who has been injured by another in a crime of violence motivated by gender. The VGMVPA temporarily suspends the statute of limitations for alleged acts that violate this law, even if the alleged acts took place decades ago and were previously time-barred. The VGMVPA allows individuals to recover economic damages, damages for emotional distress, punitive damages and attorney’s fees and expenses.
The lawsuit is one of many filed against Combs by Houston lawyer Tony Buzbee on behalf of more than a hundred plaintiffs. Buzbee previously made a name for himself representing twenty-two women who brought claims against Houston Texans quarterback DeSean Watson in 2021 for claims of sexual harassment and sexual assault. All the claims were eventually settled out of court.
Carter responded to the lawsuit in a statement, writing that “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
Buzbee was sued in November by an anonymous male celebrity who alleges that Buzbee tried to extort payments by threatening to file sexual assault claims against him, which the celebrity denies. Buzbee denies all allegations of extortion. The anonymous celebrity has been alleged by Buzbee and in the media to be Jay-Z himself.
In a post on X on December 8, Buzbee responded to Carter, writing that “What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him. Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.”
Buzbee also claimed in an Instagram post that there was a concerted campaign to intimidate him, including “filing frivolous cases against me and my law firm, defaming me with outrageous assertions to anyone who will listen, and having mysterious people follow me and my family.”
According to Page Six, Jay-Z’s legal team is looking to have the sexual assault case dismissed. In the motion, Jay-Z reportedly argued the lawsuit lacked “subject matter jurisdiction” because of the “plaintiff’s lack of standing.”
“Plaintiff has provided no evidence—no affidavit, declaration, or specific factual support—to establish the kind of severe harm necessary to justify pseudonymity,” read the document.
In addition to the dismissal request, Jay-Z’s attorneys have requested for the matter to be expedited. He also wants the Jane Doe’s identity to be “disclosed immediately.”
Read Jay-Z’s full statement regarding the allegations below.
My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!
These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?
These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.
This lawyer, who I have done a bit of research on, seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics!
I have no idea how you have come to be such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over. I’m more than prepared to deal with your type. You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity.
My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit.
My heart and support goes out to true victims in the world, who have to watch how their life story is dressed in costume for profitability by this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.
You have made a terrible error in judgement thinking that all ‘celebrities’ are the same. I’m not from your world. I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn. We don’t play these types of games.
We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.
I look forward to showing you just how different I am.
Slim Thug has got a lot to say. The rapper goes viral every few months for giving his two cents on a controversy. He’s spoke on everything from Megan Thee Stallion to the notion that he’s made more than any other rapper off mixtapes. Slim Thug’s latest topic of discussion, though, is his most grave yet. He addressed the rape allegations that have been made against JAY-Z on Sunday. Hov was accused of assaulting a teenage girl alongside Diddy at a 2000 VMAs after party. Thug doesn’t buy it, though.
Slim Thug took to Instagram Live to air out his thoughts on the situation. Simply put, he doesn’t think JAY-Z is guilty. “JAY-Z is not guilty,” he asserted. “I don’t believe that sh*t.” Slim Thug then broadened the topic, and addressed the reason he believes Hov and Diddy are being targeted. “We’ll continue to see motherf*ckers try to take down Black billionaires,” the rapper posited. “And everybody gonna cheer him on. For allegations. No criminal cases or none of that sh*t.” Thug then delved into his experiences with lawyers, and the ways in which they allegedly operate.
“I been telling y’all how them lawyers do,” Slim Thug noted. “They try and get money. Get motherf*ckers to settle cuse they know public opinion gon’ kill them anyway. Whether you innocent or not.” Thug feels that blogs and various media outlets make it so that an allegation is enough to cause damage to a public persona. “By the time the blogs get done,” he added. “Sheesh. That sh*t all fake anyway.” Slim Thug had a similar stance when Diddy was first accused of assault and sexual harassment. The rapper scolded the hip hop community for writing the Bad Boy mogul off after decades of impactful work.
The Houston rapper did change his tune on Diddy, though. Slim Thug took to social media shortly after the video of Diddy attacking Cassie surfaced online. He issued an apology to the R&B singer, and turned his ire toward Diddy. “I can’t stand behind this I’ll take this L,” he explained. “But I still will ride with my ppl until I see some sort of proof. I don’t believe in blogs or civil suits.” Slim Thug is standing by the latter half of his statement, and extending the same grace to JAY-Z. Innocent until proven guilty.
Jay-Z and his lawyer, Alex Spiro, are filing a new motion in regard to the rape allegation against him. According to TMZ, the latter sent it in Monday morning to a judge asking this Jane Doe to reveal her true identity moving forward. “Fair is fair. It is not consistent with justice, fairness, or the rules governing federal proceedings for the Plaintiff and her counsel to smear [Jay-Z]’s good name,” Spiro writes in the documents.
Additionally, the motion goes on to say that the rapper and Roc Nation leader has always kept an “impeccable reputation.” Moreover, Spiro makes it clear that Jay-Z has never been accused of or partaken in any sort of sexual misconduct. As we and many others have reported already. The Blueprint MC is currently facing a civil suit from this woman who alleges he raped her, along with Diddy, back in 2000. She claims this harrowing act allegedly took place at an after-party following the MTV Music Video Awards from that year.
Jay-Z And His Lawyer Are Looking To Level The Playing Field
Furthermore, the Jane Doe says she was just 13 at the time. There’s already been a lot of discourse about this bombshell news from fans online, as well as DJ Akademiks. He’s taken the major conspiracy angle, placing the blame for this particular instance at the feet of Kendrick Lamar. Drake also caught some flak, but most of his rant was targeted at the K. Dot. You can read his argument here.
Additionally, there’s already been a tense back-and-forth between Jay-Z and Tony Buzbee, the lawyer who filed the suit on behalf of the alleged victim. The former believes its complete and utter “blackmail” and that the Houston legal rep is essentially going about this all wrong. Jay feels that if this really did happen that Buzbee should be filing a “criminal complaint” instead. Buzbee then fired back with a statement on Twitter (X) saying that Jay-Z’s effort to “bully and harass me and this plaintiff” are not working and that he’s happy to be taking this court.
Jay-Z is currently dealing with a shocking allegation. Multiple reports say that it was a re-filed lawsuit that initially only included Diddy back in October. A Jane Doe is now alleging that she was raped by both of the hip-hop moguls back in 2000 when she was just 13. She claims this act took place at an MTV Video Music Awards after-party. Jay-Z is in a state of shock, confusion, and disgust by the accusation, labeling it as “blackmail.” However, that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the lengthy statement that’s been making the rounds.
Tony Buzbee, the Houston lawyer representing well over 100 alleged victims in the Diddy case, was the one who filed the civil lawsuit. Jay-Z made sure to take aim at him as well, and he didn’t hold back. He calls him a “fraud” and that he should instead be file a “criminal complaint” because “these allegations are so heinous in nature.” He later adds, “I have no idea how you have become such a deplorable human Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I have seen your kind many times over… You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor no dignity.”
The fiery response from Hov didn’t take long to make its way to Buzbee’s camp, though. The controversial lawyer has recently clapped right back with a response of his own. The Neighborhood Talk reshared his tweet and it goes, “Regarding the Jay Z case and his efforts to silence my clients: Mr. Carter previously denied being the one who sued me and my firm. He filed his frivolous cased under a pseudonym. What he fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him.”
Buzbee then continues, “Instead she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.” Overall, he sounds more than confident in his argument against Jay-Z as he concludes by saying, “As far as the allegations in the complaint filed, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.”
Jay-Z faced a troubling accusation over the weekend: A recently filed civil lawsuit accuses the rapper of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000, alongside Diddy. Now, though, Jay is pushing back.
In a statement issued by Jay and Roc Nation yesterday (December 8), Jay starts, “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”
Jay goes on to confidently refute the claims made in the suit, so read the full statement below.

50 Cent reacts to the new lawsuit accusing Jay-Z and Diddy of sexual assault with an Instagram post that questions the Super Bowl. After the news broke, 50 posted, “Ok, I don’t know what’s going on, but are we gonna still have the Super Bowl? I’m just asking for a friend!” The post arrives after 50 has been frequently asking about Jay-Z’s whereabouts during Diddy’s legal drama in interviews. Jay-Z and 50 Cent have been rivals since 50 dropped “How To Rob” in 1999. Over the summer, 50 revealed that he and Diddy have never been friends and he has never attended a Diddy party. 50 has been trolling Diddy since the mogul’s legal drama began in 2023.
During his interview with Cam’ron, 50 shared that Jay-Z is the reason he wasn’t originally a part of the promotions for his 2022 Super Bowl performance. “The NFL has no issues with me,”50 told Cam. “This is why I was saying I knew what ol’ boy [Jay-Z] was doing with the Super Bowl. He was doing some wild sh–, Cam, because he was saying to Em and them that the NFL had the issue with me. And I’m like, ‘Well, what’s the issue? Why don’t they have an issue when I’m becoming a partner with the actual teams? But they have an issue with my performance? It makes no sense.’”
According to a re-filed lawsuit, Jay-Z and Diddy are accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. Jay-Z immediately denied the claims and called the lawsuit an “extortion” attempt in a statement. “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! 50 Cent was accused of sexual assault by Daphne Joy, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, in May. 50 would respond with a defamation lawsuit that would eventually be dropped in September after Joy dropped her allegations in July.
After Jay-Z‘s lawsuit surfaced, a lawsuit against the plaintiff’s attorney by the mogul resurfaced on Sunday (Dec.8). It appears that Tony Buzbee may have hinted at the mogul’s lawsuit several weeks ago. A press release reports that an extortion lawsuit was filed against Buzbee. Filed in California, the lawsuit against Buzbee claims that the attorney attempted to publicize false information for financial gain. Quinn Emanuel’s lawsuit claims Buzbee has a pattern of making baseless allegations against high-profile individuals to extort them for money.
Buzbee hinted at the lawsuit against him weeks ago on social media. “l’ve been sued in Los Angeles to stop me from revealing names in public lawsuits. It won’t work. The irony? Here is my full statement: We won’t allow the powerful and their high-dollar lawyers to intimidate or silence sexual assault survivors.”
Attorney Tony Buzbee Hinted At Jay-Z Rape Lawsuit Weeks Ago
Tony Buzbee has filed several lawsuits against Diddy in 2024. Over the summer, he filed a sexual assault lawsuit against the mogul that included over 100 plaintiffs. In November, accusations of Buzbee assaulting a former client surfaced. Jay-Z’s attorney claimed that Buzbee has deployed these threats in letters, statements to the press, his website, and on social media in recent months to try to shake down well-known individuals
On Sunday, Jay-Z released an official statement in response to the claims. It reads: “My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle. No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion.” Mentioning Beyonce, Jay added: “My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure such at their young age.”
Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal woes continue to mount. However, the “Act Bad” musician isn’t the only entertainer being accused of foul play. According to NBC News, a newly filed civil lawsuit aimed at Diddy has accused Jay-Z of being a co-conspirator in his alleged sex crimes.
Documents obtained by the outlet alleged that Diddy and Jay-Z (real name Shawn Carter) forcibly raped an 13-year-old girl in 2000. The lawsuit claimed that the plaintiff (only listed as Jane Doe) was scouted after attempting to gain entry into the MTV VMAs. After being allegedly being solicited by Diddy’s driver, Doe was later taken to a house party in New York.
Doe said that after arriving at the undisclosed located she was given a drink that made her feel “woozy, lightheaded and felt [like] she needed to lie down.” She was then whisked away to a secluded room, where Combs and Carter later entered.
According to Doe, Carter took off her clothes then proceeded to hold her down while he allegedly raped her. Once, he was supposed done, Diddy allegedly went on to rape her. Doe also alleged that Diddy attempted to make her perform oral sex on him, but she was able to resist. Following the alleged assault, Doe said she was able to retrieve her previously discarded clothing, leave the property and seek shelter at a nearby gas station where she contacted family.
Jay-Z nor Diddy have publicly responded to the allegations listed in Jane Doe’s lawsuit.
