Diddy Was Denied Bail A Second Time By A Different Judge Over Concerns Of Witness Tampering

Sean “Diddy” Combs, aka Puff Daddy, aka P. Diddy, aka Puffy, aka Love, has again been denied bail, this time by a different judge, over concerns of potential witness tampering. According to multiple sources, including the Twitter accounts of TMZ and Huffington Post editor Phil Lewis, Diddy’s second request for bail was shot down by a second judge, Andrew L. Carter, despite a bid by his attorney Marc Agnifilo to appeal yesterday’s decision by Judge Tarnofsky to deny bail based on flight risk.

According to @innercitypress, the Twitter account of independent reporter Matthew Lee, who previously covered the trial of Tekashi 69, Agnifilo offered the services of a private security firm to monitor Combs’ whereabouts, bar Combs from access to the internet or a mobile device, and control visitor logs, but Carter was unconvinced — especially as the state presented evidence he had contacted witnesses even while under investigation by federal authorities. Agnifilo also tried to explain away the 2016 video of Diddy beating Cassie in a hotel hallway as the result of anger from supposed infidelity on her part rather than part of a pattern of behavior. Needless to say, it didn’t help his case.

Diddy is charged with racketeering and sexual trafficking across state lines, so more defendants and more charges can likely be expected.

Diddy Indicted on Sex Trafficking & Racketeering Charges: Key Takeaways From His Indictment

Diddy is facing a wide-reaching federal indictment that details an array of disturbing allegations. The indictment, filed in the Southern District of New York, accuses Combs of orchestrating and participating in a criminal enterprise that engaged in racketeering, sex trafficking, kidnapping, and various other illegal activities over a period stretching from 2008 to 2024, per NBC. Combs is accused of using his influence and resources to exploit vulnerable individuals. Prosecutors believe that he used a combination of violence, manipulation, and coercion to achieve his aims. He has been charged with sex trafficking by force, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

According to an unsealed federal indictment, the mogul allegedly orchestrated a complex system of abuse, forcing women into drug-fueled sexual performances, often for days on end. Prosecutors claim he employed intimidation tactics, bribery, and violence to maintain control over his victims and obstruct justice. Here are the most significant details emerging from the indictment.

Combs Alleged To Have Orchestrated Disturbing Days-Long “Freak Offs”

According to federal prosecutors, Combs regularly forced women into disturbing sex acts known as “Freak Offs.” These acts, which often lasted for days, were reportedly fueled by a cocktail of drugs, including ketamine, ecstasy, and GHB. Victims were allegedly drugged to keep them compliant, and Combs reportedly recorded many of these encounters for his own viewing. Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, explained, “Combs used force to cause victims to engage in extended sex acts with male commercial sex workers,” emphasizing that these so-called ‘Freak Offs’ were a central part of the indictment.

The indictment claims that the victims often needed IV fluids to recover from extreme physical exertion and drug use. When federal authorities raided Combs’ homes in Miami and Los Angeles, they seized various supplies reportedly used in these sessions, including over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and other lubricants.

Feds: Coercion & Threats Were A Method of Control

The indictment paints a chilling picture of Combs’ alleged control over his victims. Prosecutors accuse the mogul of using sensitive recordings of the “Freak Offs” as blackmail to ensure his victims’ continued silence and obedience. This manipulation extended beyond the recordings. According to court documents, Combs wielded his power and influence to coerce women into his orbit under false pretenses of romantic relationships or career opportunities. Prosecutors assert that those who resisted would face threats to their livelihood or be subjected to physical abuse. Staff members within Combs’ inner circle reportedly helped facilitate and conceal the abuse, from securing hotel rooms to cleaning up after the violent encounters. One particularly graphic allegation involves Combs throwing a vase at a woman as she tried to leave a room, later dragging her by her hair.

Alleged Assault On Cassie Caught On Video

A notable incident from the indictment involves Combs’ former girlfriend, singer Cassie. Prosecutors allege that an assault on her was captured on video. While details of this particular incident remain limited, it has further intensified the public scrutiny surrounding Combs. Cassie, who dated Combs for over a decade, previously settled a lawsuit with the mogul, alleging abuse throughout their relationship. The video is reportedly critical evidence in the government’s case.

Molotov Cocktail Attack Adds To The Charges

In a startling twist, Diddy is also accused of orchestrating an arson attack as part of the racketeering conspiracy. Prosecutors allege that on December 22, 2011, Diddy and a co-conspirator kidnapped an individual and, two weeks later, set fire to their vehicle using a Molotov cocktail. The fire, which was determined to be deliberately set, involved slicing open the car’s convertible top and tossing the explosive device inside.

“Approximately two weeks later, the defendant’s co-conspirators set fire to Individual-1’s vehicle by slicing open the car’s convertible top and dropping a Molotov cocktail inside the interior,” prosecutors said, per NBC. “Police and fire department reports extensively document the arson and conclude that the fire was intentionally set. Multiple witnesses would also testify to the defendant bragging about his role in destroying Individual-1’s car.”

Federal agents seized several high-capacity firearms from Combs’ Miami residence, including AR-15 rifles with defaced serial numbers. Moreover, these weapons were reportedly found in his bedroom closet, broken down into parts along with loaded ammunition. Prosecutors allege that Combs used these firearms to intimidate both victims and witnesses, ensuring their silence or cooperation with his demands.

Assaults Allegedly Date Back Over A Decade

The indictment stretches back to 2008, with allegations of verbal, emotional, physical, and sexual abuse spanning decades. Combs is accused of systematically targeting women, subjecting them to violent assaults that would take days or even weeks to heal. Prosecutors describe a pattern of behavior where Combs not only exploited women for sex but also physically attacked them if they resisted his demands. Additionally, reports describe him dragging women by their hair and threatening them with guns if they tried to leave.

Combs’ Legal Team Denies Allegations, Fights for His Release

Despite the overwhelming evidence presented, Combs has pleaded not guilty to the charges. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, insists that Combs is innocent and vows to fight the allegations in court. “His spirits are good. He’s confident,” Agnifilo told reporters, explaining that Combs came to New York City voluntarily to engage with the legal process.

Agnifilo acknowledged that Combs has had his share of personal issues, including drug use and tumultuous relationships. However, he maintained that these challenges are unrelated to the criminal allegations. Furthermore, he emphasized that Combs is currently receiving treatment and therapy for personal matters.

The Investigation Is Far From Over

While the current charges are severe, authorities believe that more allegations may come to light as their investigation continues. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams stressed that the investigation into Combs’ activities is “far from over,” revealing that more than 50 witnesses and victims have already come forward, a number that could rise as the case progresses.

Diddy’s Bail Hearing

Following his arraignment, U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky denied Combs bail, expressing concerns over his substance abuse issues and alleged anger management problems. The presence of weapons during the raid, coupled with the alleged criminal activity he’s accused of participating in, contributed to the government’s push to deny Combs bail. As a result, the music mogul remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. He’s reportedly held in isolation within the Special Housing Unit.

Combs’ Proposed $50 Million Bail Package

In response to his continued detention, Combs’ legal team submitted a revised bail proposal of $50 million, according to TMZ. The bond is set to be secured by the equity from Combs’ Miami mansion, which he recently paid off, along with his mother’s home. The updated package includes several strict conditions. This includes house arrest with GPS monitoring, restricted travel between New York and Florida, weekly drug testing, and limits on female visitors to his home. Additionally, his lawyers argue that these measures would mitigate any risk to the community and ensure his return to court. However, according to the late report from TMZ, U.S. District Judge Andrew Carter denied his request for bail because “the government has proven the defendant is a danger. The bail package is insufficient even on risk of flight.”

What’s Next For Diddy?

If convicted, Sean “Diddy” Combs faces 15 years to life in prison. The charges against him represent one of the most high-profile cases in recent memory involving a music industry giant. Thus far, he’s maintained his innocence while his attorney expresses confidence in proving that he’s not guilty. However, a case of this magnitude will certainly lead to a lengthy legal battle. It remains unseen how this will play out. We will keep you posted on anymore updates regarding Diddy’s case.

Diddy Earns Minor Legal Victory After Judge Dismisses $100 Million Judgement From Michigan Inmate

Diddy may be in federal custody right now, but at least he’s not going to have to fork out $100 million. According to a recent report from TMZ, Judge Anna Marie Anzalone is tossing out the sexual assault lawsuit from current Michigan inmate Derrick Lee Cardello-Smith. The reason being is because Mr. Cardello-Smith “failed to prove he effectively served the lawsuit in accordance with Michigan law”. The mogul’s attorney, David Fink, was the one who was able to orchestrate this victory.

If you remember, Mr. Cardello-Smith says he experienced a sexual assault encounter with Diddy back at a Detroit, Michigan party in 1997. The time in between the act and the filing of the lawsuit is key here for this reason too. Judge Anzalone is also removing the motion from the convicted felon that would have prohibited Diddy from selling assets to cover the costs. She’s doing this because she’s almost 100 percent certain the Bad Boy Records founder will win this case based on statute of limitations alone.

Prior to this new update, Diddy was going to have to pay installments of $10 million, but that’s only because he didn’t issue a response. On September 12 was when he filed the motion that was accepted today to have it waived. Now, Diddy will most likely request to have this entire lawsuit wiped, but always stick with us no matter what the next step is.

Diddy Was Denied Bail In His Sex Trafficking Case And Is Set To Remain In Jail Until His Trial

It has been an eventful past few days for Diddy (real name Sean Combs). On Monday, September 16, he was taken into federal custody. The next day, it was revealed he was charged with “racketeering conspiracy; sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion; and transportation to engage in prostitution.” Also yesterday, Diddy was denied bail.

As Rolling Stone reports, US Magistrate Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky denied Diddy bail, due to her “very significant concerns” over his alleged substance abuse, his “anger issues,” and his supposed attempt to influence the outcome of his prosecution. Tarnofsky noted that she considered alternatives, but said, “Your lawyer asked us to trust you — [I don’t think] you can trust yourself.” She later added, “Your lawyer can’t control you.”

One of the alternatives Tarnofsky considered was Diddy’s request to be kept in his home with electronic monitoring and a $50 million bond.

Diddy was eventually taken away by US Marshals. After that point, Marc Agnifilo, Diddy’s attorney, told reporters, “Mr. Combs is a fighter. He’s going to fight this until the end. He is innocent. We’re going to fight this case with everything we have.”

CNN notes Diddy is expected to appeal the decision today (September 18), at a court appearance in front of US District Court Judge Andrew Carter at 3:30 p.m. ET. In the meantime, Diddy is being held at the Special Housing Unit in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

Diddy’s Latest Arrest Has Fans Yearning For Wendy Williams’ Return

Diddy was arrested on Monday night and he was formally indicted on sex trafficking and racketeering charges on Tuesday. Overall, this was all expected given the recent allegations that have been brought against him. Once there were raids on his house, some legal experts felt like an indictment was simply a matter of time. As it stands, Diddy is being accused of having an alleged criminal enterprise in which he allegedly trafficked women and coerced them into various sex acts.

There have been some salacious headlines to come out of this story. For instance, everyone has been talking about the 1000 bottles of lube that were allegedly found in Diddy’s home. Moreover, others are mentioning the alleged IV bags that the mogul was giving women to following Freak Offs. Now, however, fans are using this moment to yearn for a major comeback from Wendy Williams. Of course, this will not happen. Williams is going through serious health issues, but as you can see below, fans would love to have her back.

Diddy’s Lawyer Names Cassie As An Alleged Witness In Federal Case

Diddy’s federal case is taking shape. The hip hop mogul was formally charged with sex trafficking and racketeering on Tuesday, and was subsequently denied bail. He will be held until his trial gets underway. In the meantime, his lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, will speak on his behalf. Agnifilo voiced his frustration with the court’s decision to deny Diddy bail. He also alleged that Cassie, Diddy’s former girlfriend, will serve as a witness in the upcoming trial, according to The Jasmine Brand.

Cassie will allegedly be among the women who will testify against Diddy, according to Agnifilo. There is a possibility that the singer will take the stand during the case, but nothing has been confirmed. It’s telling that Diddy’s lawyer confirmed Cassie’s involvement in the case. At the same time, he attempted to tear down her character. Marc Agnifilo alleged that Cassie was actually the one who incited violence leading up to the incident in which Diddy assaulted her in a hotel hallway. The lawyer alleged that the singer hit Diddy in the head with a cell phone. He also claimed that Cassie’s infidelity lead to the confrontation in the first place.

Cassie’s involvement in the Diddy case has been alluded to for several months. TMZ reported that the singer was in contact with federal officers prior to the mogul’s arrest. She also reportedly worked with investigators as far back as April. A source close to Cassie told People Magazine that she feared for her life in the lead up to Diddy’s arrest. “It was terrifying in a very real way,” the source explained. “There have been so many people protecting Diddy for so long. It’s not an exaggeration to say her life was in danger through all this.”

The same source told People that Diddy’s arrest has helped Cassie at ease. Especially considering the fact that the mogul was denied bail. “It’s been really, really hard for her,” they asserted. “She was very hopeful that justice would come.” Cassie herself has thanked the fans and the music world for their support in light of her Diddy claims. “This healing journey is never ending,” she noted in a written statement. “But this support means everything to me. Thank you.”

Aubrey O’Day Celebrates “Win For Women” After Diddy’s Arrest

Aubrey O’Day was ahead of the curve. The singer worked under Diddy for several years as part of the group Danity Kane. Since her time with the group ended, however, O’Day has been one of Diddy’s most vocal critics. She made it very clear that the Bad Boy mogul was far more sinister than his public persona suggested. She has seemingly been proven right, at least in the court of public opinion. Diddy has gone from hip hop icon to disgraced public figure in a matter of months. Diddy was arrested on September 16, and Aubrey O’Day could not have been happier.

The singer took to Twitter to celebrate Diddy’s arrest. “The purpose of justice is to provide an ending and allow us the space to create a new chapter,” she wrote. She also broadened the significance of the Diddy arrest to include all of the mogul’s alleged victims. “Women never get this,” the singer noted. “I feel validated. Today is a win for women all over the world, not just me.” Aubrey O’Day concluded her Twitter statement with an even more optimistic note. “Things are finally changing.”

Aubrey O’Day Felt “Vindicated” For Diddy’s Alleged Victims

Aubrey O’Day has prided herself on speaking out against Diddy over the last decade. She even claimed that the mogul tried to buy her silence by giving her a chance to buy the publishing rights to her music. O’Day recounted the offer during the TMZ documentary The Downfall of Diddy. She claimed that it was less about publishing rights than keeping her from leveling accusations at Diddy and his associates in the future. Aubrey O’Day alleged that the contract she was offered included a “full release against all claims against Diddy and many other players.” Needless to say, she did not sign it.

In fact, Aubrey O’Day predicted that the publishing offer was the quiet before a legal storm. “It asked me to not have access to my experience and my story anymore,” she explained. “Then, I realized something really bad is coming.” The “really bad” is seemingly underway. Diddy has been denied bail, meaning he will be held behind bars until his trial gets underway. If convicted, according to BBC, the mogul will be facing fifteen years to life in prison.

Diddy’s Courtroom Sketch Released After Mogul Enters Not Guilty Plea

The Diddy saga has kicked into high gear this week. The disgraced mogul was arrested on Monday, September 16. He was charged with sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution, in addition to racketeering. Diddy entered a not guilty plea, but was promptly denied bail by the U.S. Magistrate Judge Robyn Tarnofsky. Both him and U.S. Magistrate Tarnofsky were depicted in a courtroom sketch that has been released online.

The sketch was posted by independent reporter Meghann Cuniff on Twitter. Diddy, real name Sean Combs, can be seen wearing a blue prison shirt. Predictably, the mogul has a dour expression on his face. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams issued a statement requesting that Diddy be denied bail on the grounds that he may try to leave the country. “If released, he remains a serious risk of flight,” the U.S. Attorney stated. He also described the Bad Boy founder as being at “a significant risk of obstructing justice.”

Diddy’s Bail Was Denied Despite Offering $50 Million

U.S. Magistrate Tarnofsky agreed. According to Variety, Tarnofsky considered a number of different alternatives for bail. The judge considered releasing Diddy to house arrest. The mogul even offered a sizable bond amount of $50 million. Ultimately, however, the risk of releasing Diddy was deemed too high. Tarnofsky stated the “presumption in favor of detention has not been rebutted” by the defense. “The defendant’s long history of violent conduct makes clear that even the most stringent bail conditions will not suffice to ensure the safety of the community,” she added. The producer’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, tried to argue against the decision by citing his cooperation up to this point.

The lawyer argued that the mogul has proven himself trustworthy in recent months. He claimed that his client surrendered his passport to authorities. He also claimed that his client has kept the government informed on his domestic travel as an “act of goodwill.” None of these acts proved to win over the judge, however. Diddy will be held in custody until his trial gets underway. If convicted, the mogul will face up to fifteen years in prison.

Diddy’s Lawyer Alleges That Cassie Hit Diddy Prior To Hotel Hallway Attack

It’s not a good time to be Diddy. The mogul has been arrested and denied bail. He’s entered a not guilty plea to the multiple sex trafficking charges that have been leveled at him. To make matters worse, public opinion on Diddy has never been, well, worse. Celebrities are coming out of the woodwork to criticize the Bad Boy founder, or to distance himself from his decades of alleged crimes. Diddy’s lawyer, however, has tried tirelessly to reframe the narrative. Marc Agnifilo addressed the infamous security video in which his client attacked ex-girlfriend, Cassie. He then tried to make a case against Cassie. Inner City Press shared Agnifilo’s statements on Twitter.

Agnifilo alleged that Cassie was actually the person who started the physical altercation. He accused the singer of striking Diddy in the head prior to running out into the hallway. “[It was] an issue that Mr. Combs had more than one girlfriend,” he told reporters. “Victim-1 was looking through his phone and saw that – then hit him in the head with a cellphone, and took his clothing.” Agnifilo didn’t try to defend Diddy’s actions in the hallway. He merely tried to provide context to make his client seem like less of an instigator. The allegations against Cassie didn’t stop there, however.

Agnifilo alleged that Cassie frequently cheated on Diddy during their time together. He went as far as to allege that Diddy hired the personal trainer that Cassie would eventually marry. “These two people were in love,” the lawyer claimed to the court. “Victim-1 ended up marrying the trainer that Mr. Combs got for her. They had been cheating on each other for years.” Marc Agnifilo concluded his allegations against Cassie by claiming that she looks upon her time with the mogul fondly. “Years later, she realized she had a good thing with Mr. Combs,” he stated.

The lawsuit that Cassie filed against Diddy in November 2023 suggests otherwise. The singer accused Diddy of raping and physically abusing her throughout their relationship. Diddy agreed to settle out of court a day after the lawsuit was filed. The footage of the hotel hallway assault exposed whatever sins Diddy tried to cover up by settling, however. The Bad Boy mogul’s reputation has never fully recovered. Cassie has yet to respond to Marc Agnifilo’s new allegations.

Diddy Pleads Not Guilty and Denied Bail, Will Remain Detained in New York

Diddy's legal team is asking for his release. In a court-submitted letter, Diddy's team pens, "This letter will walk the Court through a series of actions taken by Mr. Combs over the past six months that prove that he is not a risk of flight or a danger to anyone in the community."

Diddy has pleaded not guilty to federal charges but will be held without bond.

Accoridng to Inner City Press, the embattled Bad Boy mogul sat at the defense table in a black shirt with two US Marshals standing behind him.

Diddy’s alleged crimes carry a maximum sentence of life in prison or death, as explained by Assistant US Attorney (AUSA) Emily Johnson. He was considered a flight risk due to his alleged abusive nature to his victims over the years.

The AUSA detailed Diddy set up “freak-offs,” supplying female victims with narcotics in order to continue the events for multiple days. Diddy was also accused of arson and kidnapping, while stating he surrounded himself with firearms, three of which, AR-15s with scrubbed serial numbers, were seized in law enfrocement operations.

Diddy’s incidents at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles and the recent lawsuit from Dawn Richard were referenced during the arraignment. Also, the AUSA noted Diddy had narcotics described as “pink powder” in his hotel during the arrest.

In response, Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, stated Diddy is “not a perfect person” and detailed the “toxic relationships” as “mutual.”

Diddy’s legal team asked for his release. In a court-submitted letter, Diddy’s team penned, “This letter will walk the Court through a series of actions taken by Mr. Combs over the past six months that prove that he is not a risk of flight or a danger to anyone in the community.”

Diddy and his team offered a bail package of $50 million. The document highlights that Diddy paid off the remaining $18 million of his Star Island Miami home to use it as collateral for bail conditions.

The full indictment against Sean “Diddy” Combs has been made available online, shedding light on the extensive allegations against him following the March 2024 raids of his Miami and Los Angeles homes. According to the indictment, law enforcement officials seized “various Freak Off supplies,” including narcotics and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant.

The indictment describes the “Freak Off” events as “elaborate and produced sex performances” that Combs orchestrated, directed, and participated in, often recording these activities electronically. It also notes that Diddy had IV fluids on hand for recovery from drug use.

Diddy faces serious drug charges, including intent to distribute cocaine, oxycodone, Xanax, CHB, MDMA, and ketamine. Additionally, authorities found three AR-15 rifles with scrubbed serial numbers and a drum magazine in his possession.

The indictment spans from 2008 to the present and includes allegations against Combs’ business associates for illegal activities such as sex trafficking, forced labor, interstate transportation for prostitution, coercion, and other offenses. The document suggests that Combs’ company, initially established for media and entertainment, also facilitated his sexual gratification.

Diddy remains in custody and is scheduled to have his charges read in court on Tuesday. His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, has vowed to “fight like hell” to secure bail for the music mogul.
