Deion Sanders Has Harsh Words For Colorado Ahead Of Oregon Clash

Colorado may be 3-0 but Deion Sanders is far from happy. Sanders had some harsh truths for his team as they prepare to open Pac-12 play against #10 Oregon. “We haven’t played a complete game. We have not played a game where the offense, defense as well as special teams has all shown up in the same manner. If the offense is playing well, the defense is hot garbage. If the defense is playing well, offense is horrible and special teams aren’t special, so we got to put it all together to be able to defeat a team like Oregon,” Sanders said.

The comments come after Colorado beat in-state rivals Colorado State by eight in double overtime despite entering the game as 23.5-point favorites. Furthermore, the Buffs needed an 11-point fourth-quarter comeback to even force overtime in the first place. They enter their first Pac-12 matchup of the season as 21-point underdogs. Of the other five ranked v ranked matchups this week, only one other (Iowa @ Penn State) has a double-digit favorite.

Sanders Invested In Long-Term Plan For Sons

Elsewhere, and despite the criticism, Sanders is clearly preparing to build the Buffs around his sons Shedeur and Shilo. While Shilo (senior) and Shedeur (junior) are draft-eligible in 2024, Coach Dad doesn’t seem thrilled at the idea of losing the two key starters. “Shilo said, ‘Oh, wow, Shedeur, look. You gonna be in the NFL next year.’ I said, ’No he ain’t.’ …You all ain’t going nowhere,” Deion said in a video posted by Well Off Media. The comments were made while taking in the Denver Broncos’ loss to the Commanders.

The Sanders brothers have been key additions to a surging Colorado squad this year. Shedeur (QB) has 1251 yards and 10 touchdowns through three games. His respective career bests are 3732 yards and 40 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Shilo (Safety) has 19 tackles and a pick-six. Both would likely be high draft picks if they declared. Pat McAfee has already labeled Shedeur as a top-three pick. However, it appears that they will have to wait until at least 2025 before they leave for the pros. If true, that means they will play a season of Big 12 football before leaving college.

Deion Sanders Tells His Sons They Aren’t Leaving For The NFL Next Year

Deion Sanders intends on getting another year out of his sons in Colorado. While Shilo (senior) and Shedeur (junior) are draft-eligible in 2024, Coach Dad doesn’t seem thrilled at the idea of losing the two key starters. “Shilo said, ‘Oh, wow, Shedeur, look. Sanders Praised By Nick Saban

While he may be keeping his kids in school, Sanders is also getting high praise from some of the best coaches in the game. Alabama’s Nick Saban spoke on Sanders during his weekly media availability. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders. First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest. But I see their team playing well on the field. They play with discipline, they do a good job of executing, they’ve been able to score points, playing decent on defense. So all those things, to me, are indicators that he’s a really good coach,” Saban told reporters on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Saban noted that this was an opinion he had held prior to Sanders’ arrival in Colorado. “He’s always been successful whether it was Jackson State, high school or now in Colorado. His teams have always been well coached.” Sanders began his coaching journey at his Prime Prep Academy in Texas in 2012. He also coached at Triple A Academy and Trinity Christian Community College before landing the Jackson State job in 2020. He went 27-6 with the SWAC powerhouse.

Speaking with ESPN, Saban revealed that he was able to catch the matchup with Colorado State, saluting the work that he has done.

“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders,” Saban said. “First, he’s a great person and he’s done a great job of marketing the program to create a lot of national interest.

Deion Sanders Praised By Nick Saban After 3-0 Start

Alabama coach Nick Saban has become the latest figure to offer up praise to Deion Sanders. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for Deion Sanders. Sanders Shows The Love For Saban

Nick Saban

However, the praise is by no means one-sided. Sanders praised Saban during a recent 60 Minutes interview. “I love and I adore and I respect and every time I do a commercial with Coach Saban — it’s a gift. Just sitting in his presence and hearing him and throwing something else out there so I can hear his viewpoint on it, because he’s forgotten more things than I may ever accomplish. So I’m a student looking up to this wonderful teacher saying, ‘Just throw me a crumb of what you know.’”

Both coaches are faced with ranked matchups this weekend. For Sanders, his #19 Colorado squad are 21-point underdogs at #10 Oregon to open Pac-12 play. Meanwhile, Saban has the #13 Crimson Tide up against #15 Ole Miss. For the first time since September 2015, Alabama is not ranked inside the top 10. The drop from #10 to #13 came after the Tide struggled against unranked UCF.

Deion Sanders Invites DaBaby To Colorado, Offers Him A Spot On The Team

Deion Sanders has been exchanging social media pleasantries with DaBaby in recent days. It all began when DaBaby hit up Coach Prime while attendings the Panthers’ loss to the Saints with his kids. “PRIME WE NEED YOU IN CAROLINA AFTER YOU BRING THAT CHAMPIONSHIP TO COLORADO. Hit my line coach, let’s talk. @deionsanders.” Deion responded some time later, inviting the rapper up to Boulder. “Lolololol. I’m good here. I need u here my brother. And bring the babies. Prime loves the kids.”

However, after video emerged of DaBaby showing of his skills, Sanders hit DaBaby once again. “Quick feet good release and u stacked the DB,” Sanders commented on the post. “We know you’re a Dogg so You got a offer to play At COLORADO. Let’s go Baby.” Colorado’s next home game is against #5 USC in two weeks’ time.

Regardless of whether walkout receiver DaBaby rolls up to Boulder, it’s time for the Buffs to prove that they are the real deal. While a 3-0 record and #19 ranking in the AP Poll is nice, it’s fair to say that Colorado has had a fairly favorable start to the season. They beat an overhyped TCU squad by three, crushed the ever-hapless Nebraska, and needed an 11-point comeback and double-overtime to beat a Colorado State team projected to finish 7th in the Mountain West. The team’s upcoming slate of games will be a true test of what the squad is capable of.

For Colorado, Pac-12 play begins with a trip to #10 Oregon. The Ducks are projected to finish fourth in the conference and even received a first-place vote in preseason media voting. However, Colorado will be Oregon’s first real test of the season as well after wins over Portland State, Texas Tech, and Hawai’i. After Oregon is a matchup against #5 USC, led by Heisman favorite Caleb Williams. Beyond that, the Buffs have four other (currently) ranked matchups in #22 UCLA, #14 Oregon State, #21 Washington State, and #11 Utah.

Deion Sanders And Colorado Shatter Viewership Records With Rocky Mountain Showdown Win

Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have yet another thing to celebrate. Their 43-35 comeback win against Colorado State last week shattered numerous viewership records for ESPN. Per a press release from the network, the game was the fifth-most watched game ever broadcast on the platform. Furthermore, it is also ESPN‘s most-watched late-night game and most-streamed game of all time. Additionally, it is ESPN and ABC‘s fourth-most watched regular-season game, excluding conference championships, in the last six seasons. The viewership peak was 11.1 million viewers, with the game average being 9.3 million.

However, it’s not all good news. Two-way star Travis Hunter was knocked out of the game after an illegal hit by Colorado State’s Henry Blackburn. Hunter is expected to miss several weeks due to a lacerated liver. However, Sanders has spoken out in defense of Blackburn after the player and his family began receiving death threats. “Henry Blackburn is a good player who played a phenomenal game. He made a tremendous hit on Travis on the sideline. You could call it dirty, you could call it, ‘He was just playing the game of football.’ But whatever it was, it does not constitute that he should be receiving death threats. This is still a young man trying to make it in life. He does not deserve a death threat over a game,” Sanders said.

Shaquille O’Neal Has High Remarks For Deion Sanders’ Coaching Job At Colorado

This past weekend, Boulder, Colorado was bringing out all of the stars, including Shaquille O’Neal, for one reason and one reason only. If you have not been keeping up with college football this season, the Colorado Buffaloes are the talk of the town this year because of Deion Sanders. Ever since he has taken the reins of what has been a porous program for quite some time, they are back on the map. Just last season the team went 1-11 and were dead last in the Pac-12. Now, they are 3-0 and ranked number 19 in the country in the AP Top 25 Poll.

Colorado was up against it this past Saturday when they faced their in-state rival Colorado State. It was a brutal battle for the Centennial Cup, even with the Rams being 23-point underdogs ahead of kickoff. Colorado was down by double digits, but Shedeur Sanders and the offense came alive in the fourth quarter and both overtimes to stun the visitors, 43-35. Shaquille O’Neal was in attendance and he saw greatness on the field, but also on the sidelines.

Shaquille O’Neal Has Nothing But Compliments For Deion

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Shaq heaped tons of praise on Deion Sanders and the job he has done since his arrival. When a legend in another sport recognizes high-level coaching, you know he is talking about it from experience. The Diesel compared him to another all-timer in Phil Jackson, who led those Shaq and Kobe Bryant teams to multiple championships. He explained, “I know exactly what the [Colorado players] are going through because when you are standing in front of someone that has an impressive resume, and you’re trying to get to the level he get to, everything you say is golden. I felt that way when Phil Jackson first came to the Lakers.” He also added that Deion is the best coach in college football currently. The team is still growing, but make no mistake, Colorado football is here to stay because of Sanders.

What are your initial thoughts on Shaquille O’Neal having this high praise for Colorado head coach, Deion Sanders? Do you agree or disagree that he is the best college football coach right now? Charleston White Goes Scorched Earth On Deion Sanders, Puts Bounty On His Son’s Head

Charleston White is someone who has no problem getting involved in beef. Overall, he has gone after a ton of people in the hip-hop world. Moreover, he has even tried to beef with those in entertainment and livestreaming. One would just have to harken back to his recent feud with Adin Ross to understand what we mean. Of course, it should be clear to the folks at home that White is playing a character. However, that does not mean he is taken for a character when he messes with the wrong person.

The man has had an array of targets over the years. His latest one is Deion Sanders, AKA Coach Prime. The Colorado Buffaloes defeated Colorado State this weekend to improve to 3-0 on the year. This is an incredible record given the fact the team was predicted to only get three wins all year. Unfortunately, their win led to an injury to Travis Hunter that will see him miss quite a bit of time. Additionally, the win came in overtime, and it wasn’t the convincing victory some fans had hoped for.

Charleston White Speaks His Mind

Following the win, Charleston White spoke out against the Buffaloes and Sanders. Overall, he had nothing nice to say and went scorched earth on Coach Prime. In the eyes of White, Sanders completely messed up by leaving Jackson State. JSU is an HBCU and Sanders had promised to bring them prosperity for years. However, he ended up leaving once he got an offer from a Power Five school. While many share White’s anger, there are those who completely understand why Coach Prime did what he did.

White, on the other hand, remains bitter and is certainly using Deion’s renewed fame as a way to get some clout. That has been his signature move for years, and it seems like he won’t be changing that, anytime soon. Let us know what you think of White and his comments, down below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for more news and updates from around the sports world. We will always keep you informed.
