Drake Has Dreamville Crowd Sing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” To J. Cole

Drake was able to get the crowd at Dreamville Festival to sing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” to J. Cole on Sunday night in the rapper’s hometown of Raleigh, North Carolina. The rappers both served as co-headliners for the event’s final night. Drake’s time on stage followed a 45-minute performance from Cole.

“J. Cole, if you can’t tell, Raleigh North Carolina and myself we love you, brother,” Drake told Cole after the fans sang along to Houston’s hit song. “For real, I appreciate the opportunity.” The two have collaborated numerous times over the years, including on 2010’s “In the Morning,” and 2013’s “Jodeci Freestyle.”

Cole expressed his gratitude for the Toronto rapper afterward. “This man right here, bro, I was such a fan, and I feel like I am speaking for all of us when I say this, bro… We are fucking wowed, amazed, blown away by your greatness, bro,” Cole said. “It gives me chills to see you do this shit at the highest level, non-stop and constantly serve us and bless us with the fucking soundtrack to our lives. I am blown away by your greatness. Y’all make some fucking noise for Drizzy Drake!”

During Drake’s set, he brought out several surprise guests. Among them were both GloRilla, who performed her breakthrough track “F.N.F. (Let’s Go),” and Lil Uzi Vert, who performed “XO Tour Llif3” and “Just Wanna Rock.” For Uzi, he’s been traveling all over performing the latter of the two songs. The night before, he played it at WrestleMania 39 and earlier in the week, did so on The Tonight Show. Drake also welcomed his longtime collaborator Lil Wayne to the stage. He performed “Uproar” and “A Milli.” Fans who want to catch Drake live will have a chance to do so later his year when he hits the road with his Her Loss partner, 21 Savage.

Soulja Boy Performs At Rolling Loud To Seemingly Low Energy Crowd, Twitter Reacts

Soulja Boy recently performed at Rolling Loud Los Angeles, and people say the crowd was pretty dead. Moreover, a particular clip went around social media of Soulja performing his track “Rick & Morty,” a viral offering. However, in the recording, you can’t really hear the crowd screaming lyrics back at him or engaging with the performance. As one Twitter user posted, “there is not a single phone in sight for [Soulja Boy].” Still, some people pointed out in comments and reply sections that, in some recordings for concerts, they mute the crowd mics while the artist is performing.

Furthermore, that’s exactly what’s heard in the clip at the very end, where the rap pioneer instructs the crowd to “make some motherf***in’ noise, man.” Regardless of whether people actually got hyped up to the performance, it’s fair to say that he’s more known for his influence than his present contributions these days. In fact, saying the Atlanta-bred artist was the first to do “x” rap achievement is basically a meme at this point. As such, people seemed much more excited during renditions of classics like “All The Way Turnt Up” by Roscoe Dash featuring Soulja.

Meanwhile, the “Crank Dat” artist recently made headlines for things curiously outside his wheelhouse or own career. For example, he expressed support for Megan Thee Stallion following her victorious case against Tory Lanez, who shot Meg back in 2020. Moreover, he called out Lanez in the process. “You want to shoot b***hes in the feet n***a?” he said on IG Live. “Yous a p***y n***a. And when you get from jail n***a you know where I’m at. You got a problem n***a I’ll beat your b***h a** n***a. Don’t never rap over none of my beats, don’t never freestyle over none of my beats. You trash n***a. Your music trash.”

Certainly some strong words from Soulja. Sure, some people clowned it for not really being his business, but it seemed like everyone was giving their opinion anyway. Elsewhere, he recently got involved in a spat with Boosie Badazz as well over comments about straight rappers. Regardless of the oddity of that exchange, check out reactions to the Rolling Loud LA performance down below. Also, as always, log back into HNHH for the latest updates and news on Soulja Boy and more notable performance moments.

Ice Spice Swarmed By Brooklyn Crowd

Ice Spice just faced a massive crowd swarming her in Brooklyn in what appears to be a nightclub space. While the video circling around social media is quite unclear, you can hear her track “In Ha Mood” playing in the background. As such, many assume that this took place at a club where they invited her to appear for a brief moment. However, clearly things got out of control, as she had to push people off her. When people rushed to the main area, the DJ asked everyone to back up and stopped the music. Amid frustrated shouts and screams from the crowd, it seems there were just too many people.

Furthermore, many in the comments pointed out that this could’ve become a scary situation quite quickly. “That’s dead ass scary af,” one user wrote, with another adding “Tf was security doing.” Also, a few people took the chance to aim some shots at the venue or crowd itself. For example, an Instagram user commented, “They got Princess Diana in the ghetto.” Another expressed with concern, “Oh NAUR not with this cute hairstyle! Somebody get my girl up out of there !” While a lot of people lamented the fact she dealt with this, others acknowledged that she’s just so beloved right now. “Sis is that girl right now, got the ppl goin crazy,” another fan posted. “I love that for her! Time to get a little more selective booking these gigs.”

Meanwhile, recent news concerning a hosting gig pointed to other issues with nightclubs, events, and promoters. Fans in Oakland recently threw water all over GloRilla for not performing, but rather just showing up to a club event. However, her and her team maintained that they only received payment for a hosting gig, not the full performance. A back and forth ensued on social media, with the promoter claiming they agreed to a performance for $30K. Regardless, the conversation quickly shifted to that amount not being enough for a performance in the first place.

Still, hopefully the “Bikini Bottom” sensation wasn’t hurt or too shaken up by the ordeal. It is true that she’s incredibly dominant right now, making a lot of buzz equally for her music as for her industry movement. However, no amount of success should make you uncomfortable or unsafe in a public setting. Especially when there’s money, drinks, and wild Brooklyn fans involved. Let us know what you think of this ordeal in the comments and return to HNHH for the latest on Ice Spice.

Kehlani Reveals She Was Sexually Assaulted After U.K. Concert

Kehlani says she was sexually assaulted following a performance at the O2 Victoria Warehouse in the U.K., Monday night. The show was a part of the European leg of her “Blue Water Road Trip Tour.”

In a post she shared on her Instagram Story, Kehlani explained that someone in the audience inappropriately touched her while security escorted her through the crowd after the show. She has since deleted the post.

Kehlani began by saying she won’t address the incident on video.

“I don’t want any video of me as angry, triggered, crying upset as i am anywhere,” she wrote. “i don’t care how sexual you deem my music, my performances, my fun with my friends dancing at clubs, or ME….”

She further continued: “That does not give any of you the right to cross a boundary like sticking your hands up my skirt & pulling my underwear to TOUCH MY GENITALS as i am being escorted through a crowd after performing.”

“As a victim of sexual assault, i am endlessly triggered and mindblown,” Kehlani concluded.

Kehlani previously opened up about her experience as a survivor of sexual assault on her Sunday Gems podcast in 2019. She shared words of support for others in need.

“I don’t want to add more hurt, I don’t want to add more pain,” she said at the time. “All I want to say is, ‘Sending love to everybody who’s on a healing path right now, and sending love to everybody who needs it. And if you’re apologizing for abuse, you’re disgusting. Suck my dick.’”
