Diddy’s Potential Home Buyer Unwilling To Budge On Lowball Offer

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that Diddy was having a difficult time selling his Beverly Hills mansion, which went up for sale in September. According to the outlet, “only a few” potential buyers walked through the home, but most felt that it had an “ick factor” due to all of the disturbing allegations the mogul is currently facing. Moreover, Diddy is asking for $60 million for the property. This is over $20 million more than he paid for the home back in 2014. It’s since raised eyebrows among realtors.

Last week, Bo Belmont of Belwood Investments announced that he’d finally put in an offer. He’s only offering $30 million for the home, however. TMZ reports that Belmont plans on sticking to his guns when it comes to the price. In fact, he even vows to take money off the table if his initial offer is turned down. As for what Belmont plans to do with the property, he tells the outlet that he’d completely transform it so it looks and feels nothing like it did when Diddy was living there.

If Belmont’s offer is accepted, it won’t be the first property he takes off a celebrity’s hands. Recently, he also purchased Kanye West’s former home in Malibu. The Chicago rapper had allegedly started transforming the property into a bomb shelter, but ultimately, never followed through with his plans. He sold it to Belmont and his company for $21 million in August, a whopping $36 million less than he originally purchased it for in 2021.

Following the sale, Belmont criticized the changes Ye had already made to the home, making it clear that he was not a fan. “That was a really d*mb move. Really no purpose,” he said in part at the time. “He single-handedly destroyed this architectural masterpiece. My goal is to make it as though Kanye was never there.”

Shyne Apologizes For His Unsavory Comments About Kendrick Lamar

Shyne has apologized for his infamous 2012 criticism of Kendrick Lamar, in which he labeled the now-iconic rapper’s debut album, good kid, m.A.A.d city, “trash.” Taking to Twitter shortly after its release, Shyne wrote that Lamar “is talented with a lot of potential but his album is traaaaash!” Reflecting on the comment during a new appearance on Math Hoffa’s My Expert Opinion podcast, Shyne labeled it a “mistake.”

“I would say I made a mistake about Kendrick Lamar, I will admit to that. I think that was definitely a mistake [laughs],” he said, “I think Drake is nice, Drake is incredible and Lamar has obviously proven me completely wrong, but everybody got it at the time but I was dealing with whatever I was dealing with and I didn’t understand it, I didn’t appreciate it. He’s obviously proven to be one of the greatest musicians in our generation. That’s one I take back.”

Shyne previously defended his tweet at the time during an interview with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg, as caught by HipHopDX. He argued: “I’m not talking reckless. I said the young boy got potential and I said he was talented, but the album is trash. That’s tough love. I didn’t attack him as an individual, I didn’t say anything disrespectful. It’s trash! Beats is trash, number one. And once your beats are trash, you’re finished because you can’t handle a good flow. I don’t really want to hear what you gotta say. I’ll go buy Dr. Cornel West’s album if I want to hear someone talk.”

Matty Healy Shoots Back At Azealia Banks For Fiery Criticism Of Charli XCX

Matty Healy fired back at Azealia Banks on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday afternoon after she criticized Charli XCX’s performance on Saturday Night Live. Reacting to a clip of Charli performing her hit Brat single, “360,” Banks accused her of making a “lazy” interpolation of Ciara’s “1, 2 Step.” Healy’s 1975 bandmate, George Daniel, is currently engaged to Charli.

“I legit just a caught how this song a lazy artist studio interpolation of Ciara’s 1,2 step. First off, nobody even know or cares about aj cook enough her to be riding Ciara’s ‘This beat is Outrageous, so contagious, make you crave it Jazze made it (Ha!),’” Banks wrote. “… I guess brat is when nobody has to tell u ur trash because u already know ur trash. It’s not the first time Healy and Banks have traded shots on social media. Last year, the “212” hitmaker called Healy out after his viral comments about Ice Spice. “Does Matty Healy know that no one actually thinks The 1975 makes good music?” she asked her followers on Instagram at the time. “And that he’s a lame poser with a trash cliche band name that actually means nothing. He’s clearly so pressed about a Black girl who knows nothing about him or his music is making more moves and money than him.”

Cardi B Continues To Blast Haters After Kamala Harris Rally Speech: “I Worked So Hard”

This Friday (November 1), Cardi B delivered a powerful speech at Kamala Harris’ rally in Milwaukee. She touched on some key issues like healthcare, women’s rights, and the economy. Unfortunately, however, not everyone was a fan. Within no time she was receiving backlash online, which she wasted no time responding to.

Yesterday, the “Enough” rapper responded to one X user who accused her of accepting “a huge, undisclosed amount” of money for the speech. She quickly shut this rumor down and reminded social media users that she’s been discussing politics for free for years. Now, she’s hopped online to fire back at those who called her out for reading her speech from a phone due to technical difficulties involving the teleprompter.

Cardi B Claps Back

According to Cardi, having three children and a hectic life like hers means that her memory isn’t always at 100%. “I worked so hard, bro. I worked so hard on my speech… And a lot of y’all talking about ‘Oh, why are you reading it from a phone?’ B*tch, I had to write that sh*t down… B*tch, I’m 32 years old b*tch, and I have three kids. My mind be f*cking racing all goddamn day, b*tch.” She continued, noting how she’ll even forget confrontations she’s rehearsed in her head. This is far from the first time Cardi’s had to come to her own defense, as last night, Elon Musk also hopped online with some harsh words.

He accused her of being a “puppet,” which she denied in no time. “I’m not a puppet Elon,” she began, “I’m a daughter of two immigrant parents that had to work their a** off to provide for me! I’m a product of welfare, I’m a product of section 8, I’m a product of poverty and I’m a product of what happens when the system is set up against you….But you don’t know nothing about that. You don’t know not one thing about the American struggle…. PS fix my algorithm.” What do you think of Cardi B continuing to shut down critics following her speech at Kamala Harris’ rally? Lil Uzi Vert Barraged With Fans’ Disappointment As “Eternal Atake 2” Reactions Roll In

Lil Uzi Vert finally dropped Eternal Atake 2 after months of teasing a follow-up to 2023’s Pink Tape, and fans were very excited to dive in. However, as you might have seen already on social media, a lot of die-hards and casual listeners alike weren’t feeling their style and approach this time around, leading to many disappointed reactions on the Internet. Of course, this is nothing new for the Philly rap star, as plenty of their projects in the past did not garner the warmest reception on impact. Perhaps this was just a bad day for fans after Halloween celebrations, but either way, it’s a divisive reception to say the least.

Plenty of fans still enjoyed Eternal Atake 2, but sometimes the most controversial opinion is the loudest. We’ll let you make your own assessment of this reception. Nevertheless, this album saw Lil Uzi Vert address some other controversies of theirs as of late, including fan concern over their alleged use of nitrous gas. “They said I was lost, they thought I was a dead guy, I was on the NOS,” they rap on the opening track “We Good.”

In addition, the release of Eternal Atake 2 brought about a controversy with the surviving members of the religious group Heaven’s Gate. They claim that Lil Uzi Vert’s album art is very similar to their logo, and threatened legal action in a new Complex interview. “Stay away from our Intellectual Property,” they stated in that conversation. “Give the Group some respect. Don’t try to offer to buy us off, like last time. We do not want your money, no matter how much it is.”

Fans React

Meanwhile, other Lil Uzi Vert naysayers were skeptical from the jump, including some comments from Ebro that let to a bit of a social media tussle. Joe Budden Reacts To TDE Punch Calling Out Hip-Hop Media After Kendrick Lamar’s SZA Interview

Recently, Kendrick Lamar sat down with SZA for Harper’s Bazaar, and the interview has since earned mixed reactions. Amid criticism, TDE Punch hopped on Twitter/X to share his take, arguing that hip-hop media might be the problem. “Is it ok to criticize the ‘critics’?” he asked. “Cause ultimately we’re just talking about opinions, right? Well my opinion (lol, I’m a critic) is we’re losing perspective on things. Something great or not so great happens, then we talk about it.”

“And that’s fine. Again, this is just my opinion today. It might change later. So wait for something great to happen, sleep on it, study it, and find something insightful to say about it. I respect Hip Hop Journalism and feel it’s needed in its truest form. It help keep the culture alive,” he continued. “But it’s only a few real ones left. Most of you guys are trash. Just my opinion. That’s why artist don’t want to talk to you.”

Joe Budden Discusses TDE Punch’s Take On Kendrick Lamar & SZA Interview

During a recent episode of his podcast, however, Joe Budden called cap on Punch’s claims. According to him, there were far too many options for this to have been a reasonable excuse. While he acknowledges that some hip-hop outlets can be “weird,” he says it would be nice if Kendrick had chosen one for his big interview.

“It’s too many places for me to just hear anybody say, ‘Yo, all hip-hop media is trash so this is why we’re moving like that.’ Please, knock it off… All hip-hop media is not trash, not at all. Kamala’s going to sit with Shannon Sharpe right now, just announced.” What do you think of Joe Budden’s reaction to TDE Punch’s take on Kendrick Lamar’s recent interview with SZA? Adam22 Slams SZA For Calling Him A “Culture Vulture” After Kendrick Lamar Interview Criticism

Kendrick Lamar recently sat down with SZA for Harper’s Bazaar, but the interview hasn’t exactly been well received. Adam22, for example, was quick to put the Compton rapper on blast for what he saw as a “softball” interview. “Supporting Black media outlets, hip hop media outlets,” he said sarcastically on his podcast earlier this week. “Supporting real journalism, you let your label mate, basically, interview you.”

Now, the No Jumper host believes that SZA heard his commentary, and wasn’t at all pleased with it. During a recent chat with DJ Akademiks, he explained how one social media user had a poll asking whether or not he’s a “culture vulture,” on which SZA voted yes. “I’m gonna be real with you, I couldn’t pick SZA out of a police lineup right now like I do not know anything about SZA. So that’s pretty cool, honestly,” he claimed.

Adam22 Thinks SZA Was Upset By His Take On Her Kendrick Lamar Interview

This prompted Akademiks to look back on his own past with SZA, which has been rocky, to say the least. Last August, he went on an unhinged rant about the Grammy winner’s appearance, calling her “fat as f**k,” making fun of her BBL, and much more. Months later, he revealed that in the midst of their beef, he received a call from Drake trying to squash it.

Adam22 wasn’t the only one with a controversial opinion on Kendrick’s interview with SZA, however. Joe Budden also shared his take on it during an episode of his podcast, theorizing that Kendrick was trying to pander to Drake’s fanbase. “I felt like this is him coming around having to pander back to the pansies,” he speculated. “‘I killed King Pansy–‘ to him, I’m not calling him that. But, ‘I killed King Pansy, but I lost some pansies in the process, so I gotta come back around and appeal to them.’” What do you think of Adam22 going after SZA? J Cole Gets Called Out For Rewriting History On New Song “Port Antonio”

Last night, J Cole unveiled his new track “Port Antonio,” and it has since sparked a major debate on social media. In the song, he addresses Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s viral beef, which he famously bowed out of after dropping “7 Minute Drill.” He issued an apology for the Kendrick diss track at Dreamville Fest in April. Cole got a lot of heat for this at first, but after watching how Drake and Kendrick’s lyrical battle played out, fans agreed that he made the right call.

On “Port Antonio,” J Cole essentially claims that he backed out of the feud because his opponents wanted clout, and that he was more afraid of losing a friend than losing a battle. “I wouldn’t have lost a battle, dawg, I woulda lost a bro,” he spits. “I woulda gained a foe, and all for what? Just to attain some mo’ / Props from strangers that don’t got a clue what I been aimin’ for?”

J Cole Addresses Drake & Kendrick Lamar Beef On New Song

So far, listeners are split. While many still think J Cole did the right thing by rising above, some are accusing him of rewriting history. Others are simply calling him corny for bringing up beef that for the most part, fizzled out months ago.

“Boy apologized now tryna double back. ‘I coulda won the battle.’ my n***a you bowed out and rode your bike for 6 months dodging smoke,” one user writes on Twitter/X. “Mixed messages. J. Cole wants to be the bigger man, but there’s inconsistency. He claims he can out-rap anyone, then avoids beef for friendship, and now says he could’ve won but didn’t want to lose a bro? You can’t have it both ways, and that’s what put him in this position,” another argues.

Ice Spice Critic Slams Her For “Boring” Miami Show

While being famous surely comes with its perks, it also comes with quite a few downsides, including constant criticism. This is nothing new to Ice Spice, who rose to fame with hits like “Munch” and just unveiled her debut studio album, Y2K! The album arrived after plenty of teasing, but sadly, many felt as though it left a lot to be desired.

Ever since, it appears as though the artist has had a target on her back, which has only been exacerbated by her current feuds. Earlier this week, for example, the “Deli” rapper performed at a club in Miami. One attendee was less than impressed with her energy onstage and took to TikTok to put her on blast.

Ice Spice Performs At Miami Club

“POV: Ice Spice is boring as sh*t,” the fan wrote. “Look at the crowd.” While some commenters in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section agree with the TikTok user, others are coming to the hitmaker’s defense. Many point out that the stage she was performing on was extremely small, and she was likely trying to avoid falling. Others claim that this kind of performance is not out of the ordinary for Ice Spice, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise.

With all of that being said, some theories are floating around as to why Ice Spice has been receiving so much hate lately. Fivio Foreign weighed in on Twitter/X earlier this week, for example, claiming that there’s a simple explanation. “B***hes hate Spice cuz n***as love spice,” he wrote. What do you think of a fan calling out Ice Spice for her recent club appearance in Miami? Do you agree that her energy wasn’t there, or was the fan being too harsh? GloRilla Reveals How She Used A Mean Tweet As Motivation

It goes without saying that being a celebrity comes with its fair share of downsides. For every supportive fan there is, there are likely more critics waiting for an opportunity to tear you down. Luckily, criticism isn’t always a negative thing, as some artists use it as motivation. This includes GloRilla, who recently took to Twitter/X to explain how a shady Tweet fueled her amazing past few months.

“Glorilla fell off so fast and bad,” the critical Tweet reads alongside a series of crying emojis. It was originally written in October of last year but received a response from Glo earlier this week. “I remember bookmarking dis & telling myself ‘Dey gotchu f*cked up so bad,’” she wrote. “Dis post ain’t do sh*t but put a battery in my back i needed data don’t let dese people write yo story for you , Keep going !!!”

Obviously, GloRilla’s hard work has paid off, and she managed to prove this critic wrong. Nowadays, she’s enjoying the success of singles like “TGIF” and her debut mixtape, Ehhthang Ehhthang. She also joined fellow Southern femcee Megan Thee Stallion on her “Hot Girl Summer” tour this year, which was a major hit with fans. The two of them might even be teaming up for yet another project in the near future, as Meg hinted at a potential joint album during her recent interview with Billboard. “I think that would be very fire. I ain’t gon’ say too much, but it feels like it’s going to get done,” she explained.

“Megan is a real rapper, and I’m also a real rapper,” GloRilla added. “We actually be talking and coming with bars on some down South gangsta sh*t. [It would be] some down South, real turnt, real rap [sh*t].” What do you think of GloRilla crediting a critic’s old mean Tweet for her impressive 2024 run?
