DJ Akademiks Claims Kendrick Lamar’s Team Confirmed Andrew Schulz Diss

One of the most ironic parts of this whole Andrew Schulz drama with Kendrick Lamar is that K.Dot never even name-dropped anyone on GNX‘s “wacced out murals.” Instead, he just called out white comedians talking about Black women, and most people assumed Schulz in place of a whole host of other applicable celebrities. But maybe Kendrick really did mean to target the New York stand-up comic, as DJ Akademiks has now claimed via Twitter that K.Dot’s team allegedly confirmed to him that this line was aimed at Schulz. Given how anti-TDE the commentator is, many fans took this with a barrel of salt.

At the end of the day, it seems like this situation with Andrew Schulz and Kendrick Lamar went way out of proportion in the discourse. HipHopDX‘s The Bigger Picture podcast – with Elliott Wilson, DJ Hed, and Jeremy Hecht – recently posited some more simple breakdowns of the debacle. They posited that this is all fair game if the people involved just stand on it, and that Schulz just missed the mark with a sexual assault joke.

DJ Akademiks Allegedly Confirms Kendrick Lamar’s Andrew Schulz Diss

But as far as really going in on the criticism, this is one of the more nuanced takes on the Andrew Schulz and Kendrick Lamar controversy. Throughout this whole process, the former launched multiple responses and clap-backs to the scenario, most of which emerged as just jest. He directly replied to folks like Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. and even Meek Mill when they issued condemnations of his jokes. People need to keep that content storm rolling even when it’s to their detriment, although we doubt that the 41-year-old will really take much of a hit as a result.

Meanwhile, Andrew Schulz and Kendrick Lamar aside, DJ Akademiks has some other wild theories and claims about big headlines these days. He alleged that Stefon Diggs is out here stealing rappers’ girls after folks spotted him with Yung Miami earlier this week. It’s a pretty bizarre hill to die on, but it’s not the first time the streamer addressed the issue. Odd stories like these might make people turn the other cheek when he comes through with these kinds of claims, but he could’ve really spoken to Kendrick’s team about this.

Antonio Brown Backs Andrew Schulz After Disturbing Kendrick Lamar Rant

Recently, Andrew Schulz reacted to theories that Kendrick Lamar indirectly called him out on his new album, GNX. In his song “wacced out murals,” the Compton rapper puts an unnamed white comedian on blast for talking about Black women. “Don’t let no white comedian talk about no Black woman, that’s law,” he raps. Schulz had recently received backlash for perpetuating negative stereotypes about Black women.

On his Flagrant podcast, Schulz made it clear that he doesn’t think he did anything wrong and accused Kendrick of being a hypocrite. He brought up times when Kendrick worked alongside alleged abusers like Chris Brown, arguing that he was trying to protect Black women from the wrong people. He then proceeded to go on a rant about how he could rape Kendrick, sparking mixed reactions from listeners. While many think he went entirely too far, others are coming to his defense, and arguing that he was just joking. Antonio Brown falls into this group and took to X yesterday to back him up.

Antonio Brown Defends Andrew Schulz Amid Backlash

“Anyone that calls @andrewschulz a racist is whack. Andrew is a real cracker,” he wrote alongside a photo of Schulz and 50 Cent. Obviously, Brown kept his take on the situation short and simple. Some, on the other hand, had a lot more to say about the debacle. Adam22 also recently hopped on X to weigh in, for example, making it clear that he was fed up with all of the backlash Schulz has received as of late.

“Andrew Schulz is objectively hilarious and all the hip hop fans who are complaining about some jokes should go jump off a bridge,” he wrote. “It’s 2024 and the whole ‘get offended by everything and constantly complain about it on twitter’ thing is over. You listen to rap, inarguably the edgiest, most offensive form of popular music. Spare us the fake outrage to try and get people you don’t like out the paint.”

Andrew Schulz Is Wondering Where All The “K Bots” Are Amid Kendrick Lamar Backlash

Andrew Schulz has had quite the hectic past few weeks, as an alleged diss on Kendrick Lamar’s new album GNX made him assume full clap-back mode. For those unaware, Kendrick seemed to reference him in critical fashion on “wacced out murals,” and then the comedian answered with scathing callouts and insensitive jokes about the rapper. All in all, this really wouldn’t be such a huge controversy; after all, that’s comedians’ job. But Schulz’s response, egging on triggered K.Dot fans, has just dug his hole that much deeper thanks to how flippantly he’s taking the whole thing. In other words, he could’ve just let this slide and it would’ve been over by now… But he just had to double down.

“Everybody got quiet all the sudden, what happened?” Andrew Schulz tweeted on Friday night (December 6). “Y’all turn the K Bots off? Put them bots back on guys I was just getting warmed up.” For those unaware, he’s referring to the accusation that Kendrick Lamar is purposefully using bots this year to boost his streams and defend the massive fallout to the Drake battle.

Andrew Schulz Wants Kendrick Lamar Backlash To Continue

Not only that, but Andrew Schulz also directly responded to many critics of his Kendrick Lamar comments, whether it’s Ice Cube’s son or Meek Mill. Clearly, he’s not taking any of this super seriously, and is just looking for more engagement and attention by feeding off of folks’ indignation. We can’t really blame Schulz for doing so, though, as that’s what he became famous for and it’s natural that he would want to defend himself. Yet given the context of not just the racial dynamics at play here, but also the nature of the comedian’s insults towards Kendrick, many fans still feel like he is missing the point.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Lamar never even mentioned Andrew Schulz by name, and we doubt he will ever clarify his intent. So the comedian has free reign to direct this narrative, benefit from it, and jokingly call out some hypocrisies, assumptions, or soft spots. As such, we’re not really surprised that he wants people to keep going at him and insulting him. Schulz is just experiencing what every big social media narrative undergoes: people lose interest.

Raygun Confirms Retirement From Competitive Breakdancing After Controversial Olympics Performance

Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn, better known as Raygun, sparked a great deal of controversy with her performance at the Paris Olympics. Overall, many social media users accused her of making a mockery of the art and argued that she should have never been allowed to compete in the first place. Evidently, the viral backlash really got to her and even forced her to reconsider her future in breakdancing.

During a recent appearance on The Jimmy & Nath Show, she announced that she’s done with competitive breaking for good. According to her, the hate she received for her inclusion in the Olympics took all the fun out of competing and ultimately led to her decision to quit. She added that while she’ll no longer be competing, she’ll still continue to dance in the privacy of her own home.

Raygun Explains Her Decision To Quit Competitive Breakdancing

“I don’t think people should feel crap about the way they dance,” she explained. “I still break, but I don’t compete. I’m not going to compete anymore.” Raygun’s announcement comes just a couple of months after she issued an apology to the breakdancing community for her controversial performance. “I am very sorry for the backlash that the community has experienced,” she said during her appearance on the Australian talk show The Project. “But I can’t control how people react. Unfortunately, we just need some more resources in Australia for us to have a chance to beat world champions. Historically, unfortunately, we haven’t had the best track record of winning world championships, so I don’t think that’s just on me.”

What do you think of Raygun announcing that she’ll no longer compete after her viral performance at the Olympics? Do you think she made the right decision by quitting or not? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

50 Cent Questions Jay-Z’s Whereabouts Amid Diddy Scandal & Beyonce’s Kamala Harris Endorsement

There’s a lot to talk about concerning Jay-Z these days, whether it’s the social media allegations in the rumor mill in relation to the Diddy scandal or his boo Beyoncé’s recent endorsement of Kamala Harris. But Hov himself hasn’t said a whole lot, something that 50 Cent is pretty curious about. “Don’t unban me, because no one’s there to get. When’s Jay coming to Summer Jam?” he asked on Hot 97. “When’s Jay-Z coming to Summer Jam? No brunch, no lunch, no dinner… It’s hot out here, man, it’s hot out here. You know what I’m saying? Nowhere.”

While Fif didn’t say anything specifically about this, he’s roped the Roc Nation boss into the Sean Combs allegations before, even if mostly in a joking and cheekily roasting way. Maybe 50 Cent is talking about something else entirely here, but a lot of people have the same question. Where is Jay-Z? The last thing we heard that directly involved his actions is how he and Beyoncé allegedly reached out to various media outlets about their coverage on the Diddy scandal and specifically Jaguar Wright’s accusations about them.

50 Cent Speaks On Jay-Z

Nevertheless, it wasn’t the only recent Jay-Z remark that 50 Cent made, as another appeared during the latter’s recent appearance on The Breakfast Club. He spoke on how he and Shawn Carter actually ghostwrote for Diddy in the past, speaking on Jay’s legendary creative process and his skillful craft in the booth. As such, you can see that it isn’t all jokes, roasts, and criticisms on the G-Unit mogul’s behalf, especially with people with whom he shares such a complicated history. But then again, that’s not exactly the image he portrays online often, so we don’t blame fans for assuming that they are completely at odds.

Also, it doesn’t help that Jay-Z and Roc Nation apparently tried to keep 50 Cent from performing during the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show. There is a lot to go through here and a lot of mysterious angles that the “Marcy Me” MC will probably not address publicly anytime soon. So take everything with a grain of salt and wait along with the rest of us for what comes next.

Wack 100 Is Livid Over Menendez Brothers Discourse

Wack 100 always offers his hot takes and assessments on hip-hop’s legal situations, but sometimes he talks about other criminal cases in wider society. For example, he recently joined No Jumper and spoke about the Menendez brothers’ case and people advocating for their release from prison. If you didn’t know, a court convicted Joseph and Erik Menendez of murder in 1996 and gave them life sentences for killing their parents in Beverly Hills back in 1989. The conversation around them these days stems from new information, appeals, and reflections that resulted in many calling for their release, as they allegedly acted in self-defense due to their parents’ abuse. That’s something that Wack can’t get behind.

“Nah, don’t let them out,” Wack 100 expressed on No Jumper with Adam22 concerning the Menendez brothers. “I’ma tell you why. Listen, they say all that happened. This is the problem I got. If y’all gon’ let the Menendez brothers out… [for] overkill murder… If you’re going to let them out because they were at 18 and 21 years old… Let out all those Black and brown people in there whose daughter said, ‘Dad, when I was nine, the neighbor did this, or uncle such did this,’ and the dad went over there and killed them and is doing life in jail.”

Wack 100 Speaks On The Menendez Brothers Case

In addition, Wack 100 posited that U.S. law doesn’t account for after-the-fact murder for other crimes that happened to that murderer. He suggested that the situation would be different if the Menendez brothers committed murder while their parents were in the middle of abusing them, not the premeditated murder that prosecutors characterized this as. Most importantly for the music executive, he called out double standards when it comes to other folks’ incarceration that faced similar situations.

As for other Wack 100 takes, he recently explained what he called a misinterpreted claim about Drake sending Kendrick Lamar a cease and desist to prevent him from performing “Not Like Us” during his Super Bowl halftime show. On multiple occasions, Wack has claimed that he never directly issued this accusation. We’ll see if he walks back his Menendez brothers assessment one day as well.

DaBaby Defends Decision Not To Choose Between Megan Thee Stallion & GloRilla On “Drink Champs”

During his recent appearance on Drink Champs, DaBaby was asked to pick between Megan Thee Stallion, and ultimately decided on both. The rapper explained that despite his past issues with Meg, he’d be open to working with her in the future, and thinks her “HOW I LOOK” collaborator might be the perfect addition.

“I got love for Meg,” he said at the time. “Me and Meg did some dope sh*t together. And it’s good to see her rise amongst the obstacles. I’m manifesting a song with Glo and Meg together and Baby. I think that’s the way me and Meg should pop back out. Because I feel like ain’t none of these n****s — and no disrespect — that y’all are making music with can really embody that.”

DaBaby Says He Was Trying To Keep It Positive

Considering his rocky past with Meg, his answer took some viewers by surprise. According to him, however, he was simply trying to avoid any drama that would have come out of him ranking one femcee above the other. “I understand your perspective but honestly I just wanted to avoid putting one of the ladies above the other and give love & respect to both of em. I know the drama n sh*t more entertaining, but I done learned that if ima say anything ima make sure it’s sumn positive. Don’t overthink it world,” he explained in a Tweet.

In another Tweet, DaBaby described how he’s no longer interested in any sort of controversy. “Them days of baiting me into the bullsh*t OVER WIT,” he said. “I ain’t got nothing for ya but good music and entertainment. controversy & violence done cost me enough.” What do you think of DaBaby’s decision not to pick between Megan Thee Stallion during his recent Drink Champs interview? Kevin Gates & His Daughter Cause An Uproar With Furry Costumes

Kevin Gates is certainly no stranger to sparking debates with his wild antics, and this week has been no exception. The Louisiana rapper teamed up with his daughter, who goes by Jade online, to make some fun TikToks. Unfortunately, however, their outfits raised some eyebrows. She wore a full furry costume, while Gates wore just the headpiece and a pair of jeans.

This, of course, has prompted a huge debate in DJ Akademiks’ comments section. While some Instagram users find the videos to be bizarre and unsettling, others are praising Gates for participating in them. After all, it looks like his daughter is making this kind of content with or without him, and he could have simply been trying to make her happy.

Kevin Gates Makes TikToks With His Daughter

“This the most random thing i’ve ever seen,” one commenter claims. “Furry gates gives me nightmares,” someone else says. Luckily for Gates, not all of the comments were critical. “I don’t support furries but can’t hate a dad having fun with they kid,” a fan writes. “As he should,” another adds. At the time of writing, Gates has yet to address the uproar. It’s not the first time his parenting earned big reactions, however.

Last year, he also shared a clip of himself teaching his daughter to drive, despite her being just ten years old. In the clip, he even told her that she didn’t need to worry about wearing a seatbelt because he “don’t raise p***y.” For obvious reasons, fans weren’t feeling this and encouraged him to be more responsible when it comes to his kids. What do you think of Kevin Gates putting on a furry costume and making TikToks with his daughter? Do you think the videos are harmless, or should they have stayed in the drafts? Travis Barker’s Son Addresses His Alleged Baby Oil-Themed Party Amid Diddy Scandal

Landon Barker has responded to backlash for baby oil bottles at his birthday celebration at a club amid the Diddy scandal over the substance’s alleged nefarious uses in that case. He clarified that this was not his event and that he didn’t approve of having those bottles sent out to him. “I’d like to come on here and apologize and address the fact that people are saying I had this whole themed birthday party,” Travis Barker’s son began his social media address. “First off, I have not had a birthday party. My birthday party is next week. Now, what exactly happened was we all went to Nobu for my birthday. Me and my family and my friends. After Nobu, me and my friends wanted to go celebrate, so my friend contacted a club promoter.

“The club promoter then said, ‘Hey, this guy’s having a birthday party tonight. Do you guys want to come to this party?’ He said he’d give us a table and a bottle, make sure we’re all good to go,” Landon Barker continued. “So we’re like, ‘Okay, it’s my 21st, let’s all go out and do something.’ So we all arrive to this club, just me and all my friends. We go to the table. Everybody’s saying ‘Why didn’t you leave right away?’ And that was because I didn’t know what was going on right away. It was a dark environment and all I could really see was another table having flashing bottles being brought out. The bottles had flashing lights underneath them, so I wasn’t able to distinguish what they were.

Landon Barker Addresses Baby Oil Speculation

“I’m just thinking they’re bringing out tequila with the bottles,” Landon Barker continued. “But I have no idea what’s going on at this point. And then they bring bottles out to our table, and that’s when I visibly noticed that they had light-up baby oil. I didn’t pick up the bottle once and I did not condone that. I just went to a club to celebrate my birthday and ended up in a bad situation.” “My apologies go out to everyone I hurt. This wasn’t my idea and I never wanted that to happen,” he added.

“Another thing that really keeps frustrating me is that people think that I curated for everybody to wear all white,” Landon Barker remarked in another video. “This is what was worn on my birthday,” he expressed while showing an image of the event, for which multiple individuals did not wear all white. “Formal attire is a white top and black pants for most people. It was like a fancy dinner. People just took their jackets off.”

Tommy Richman Under Fire For Rap Grammy Submissions After Claiming He’s Not Hip-Hop

Earlier this month, Tommy Richman took to Twitter/X with a controversial declaration. “I’m not a hip hop artist,” he wrote simply. The message sparked a response from DJ Hed, who was quick to call Richman out. “Fasho. So every Hip-Hop station playing MDB or DIAL should stop today. Thanks for the Heds Up [fist emoji],” he wrote at the time. “Glad I got the PSA before I did my radio mix. I now have 2 open slots. What should I play? (From an artist proud to be Hip-Hop).”

This prompted Richman to clarify. “I’ll say again, Im thankful for everything. I’m saying I don’t wanna be boxed in. I grew up on hip hop. But I’m a singer,” he went on to explain. Regardless, the comment still didn’t sit right with many, who think he might have been better off not saying anything at all.

Now, some of this backlash has come back up to the surface, as Richman recently submitted his hit song “Million Dollar Baby” for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2025 Grammys. Social media users in the NFR Podcast‘s comments section are calling him out for seemingly changing his tune now that awards are on the table.

“Thought he said he wasn’t hip hop ?” one X user writes. “Bro not a rapper tho @DJHed until he wants a better shot at a Grammy,” another claims. What do you think of Tommy Richman submitting “Million Dollar Baby” for Best Rap Song and Best Melodic Rap Performance at the 2025 Grammys despite previously saying he’s not a hip-hop artist?
