Coi Leray Challenges Men To ‘Run It Up’ On Her Steamy New Single

Just a week out from her sophomore album, Coi, Coi Leray is keeping the anticipation high. Tonight (June 16), she has shared “Run It Up,” a spicy new anthem from the album.

On “Run It Up,” Leray is in full control as she lays down the laws of the bedroom. She is making it known what she wants and setting her expectations high, challenging prospective men to run it up.

“Run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, run it up, ooooh / I’m an angel in the day and a demon in the night / Don’t go thinkin’ about it ’cause you might lose your mind / Drop the top in the winter ’cause my heart cold like ice,” she rap-sings on the song’s chorus.

It’s been quite a breakout year for Leray, who’s had a big hit with her song “Players.” Back in April, she gave fans a taste of her upcoming album, with her singles “Bops” and “My Body.

In a recent interview with People, she shared the desire to become a household name.

“I know that I have the ability to make amazing songs, be one of the biggest artists,” she said. “And on top of that, be one of the biggest influential artists — whether it’s in mental health, body positivity, fashion.”

Kid Cudi’s Moon Man’s Landing Festival Lineup For 2023 Has Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, And More

Kid Cudi has a lot on his plate right now. The rapper shared his new single called “Porsche Topless” to kick off a new era. An album, a clothing line, and a movie are apparently on the way as well. Today (June 15), he announced the lineup for the second annual Moon Man’s Landing festival.

Taking place on August 19 at Cleveland, Ohio’s Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the festival will have Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, $uicideboy$, Bashfortheworld, Siena Bella, and Chelsea Pastel. Find ticket information here.

Last year’s festival had Playboi Carti, Haim, Toliver, Dominic Fike, Pusha T, Jaden, and 070 Shake.

In September, Cudi said that he was stepping back from music to focus on other things. “I think I’m going to take a step back from the Kid Cudi stuff and focus a lot more on developing my own things,” he said. “Writing — whether it’s movies or TV shows — producing things, putting stuff together. Just really getting my production company [Mad Solar] up to a place where, in the next three or four years, we’re a household name. I really have goals. We’re off to a great start with the documentary, X, Pearl, and now, Entergalactic. I mean, we have four bangers so far, so I just want to see what else we can do and keep going.”

Coi Leray Calls for All Female Rappers to Unite to Land First #1 Rap Song of 2023

Coi Leray

Hip-Hop is in a drought, and that’s crazy considering we are in the middle of the monumental 50th-year celebration. With no specific end in sight, Coi Leray is looking to unify all the women in Rap for a chart-topping single. Tagging her message “#justanidea,” it certainly isn’t a bad one.

“Ain’t been a #1 rap song at all this year,” Leray wrote. “Calling all the female rappers to front. [Hear] me out. ladies night. Hip hop. Unity.”

She added, “Let’s make history with a number 1 … together .. with love.”

Also, Coi Leray is prepping her new album. Titled Coi, the album is catching eyes for a posthumous James Brown feature.

The single is titled “Man’s World,” likely a flip of Brown’s classic “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World,” and sits at No. 2 on the album. Additional features are David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, and Skillibeng.

Coi Leray announced the new album will be released on June 23. The album aims to masterfully weave in her flow, vocals, and sounds, ranging from rap to reggae and pop to dance.

You can see the album announcement below.

Coi Leray’s latest single, “Bops,” was made available via Uptown Records and Republic Records.

In the aptly named song, Coi proudly demonstrates her accomplishment as a top-charting musician who can consistently turn out big hits. In addition to her most recent collaborations with David Guetta on “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” and Raye’s “Flip A Switch” earlier this month, “Bops” follows an outstanding list of songs.

Kid Cudi Announces Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray For Moon Man’s Landing 2023

Kid Cudi is gearing up to put on another music festival this year. It will be the second year of the artist’s Moon Man’s Landing festival. Last year, the inaugural Moon Man’s Landing festival faced some controversy. It all began when Kid Cudi removed producer Mike Dean from the lineup. Dean took to social media to express his disappointment, suggesting that he was removed due to jealousy. “Dickhead canceled me just from jealousy. Just because I was on tour with The Weeknd,” he wrote. “Also there’s more people in a half full stadium when I play than when Mid plays the small arenas,” the producer said. Despite the incident, Dean continued to work on his own projects and dismissed the situation as “baby kid baby sh*t.”

Mike Dean is known for his work with artists like Kanye West and Travis Scott. He had been touring with The Weeknd at the time. He further criticized Kid Cudi on Twitter as time went on. This included responding to Cudi’s fans who defended him and claimed that Cudi was a better producer. “That’s hilarious. I’m done,” Dean said. “Hahahah. Dude can’t produce his way out of a wet paper sack.” Dean even entered Cudi’s Twitter mentions to assert his contribution to one of Cudi’s songs.

Cudi Moves Past The Drama

Kid Cudi has moved beyond the drama of last year. Despite the previous tension, the focus now is on the upcoming Moon Man’s Landing festival. Fans are eagerly anticipating the event. Earlier today, Kid Cudi announced the diverse lineup of artists set to perform. The artist took to Twitter post the flyer for the event, which features a blue and purple space-age illustration. Fans will no doubt be delighted by the artists that have been announced for the festival.

The lineup for Cudi’s second annual Moon Man’s Landing festival will feature Lil Uzi Vert, Coi Leray, and more. The intergalactic event is scheduled to take place on August 19 in Cleveland, OH. On his Twitter post, Kid Cudi encouraged fans to check out the lineup and pre-sale tickets on the festival’s website. Tickets will officially go on sale on June 21. Coi Leray Proposes All-Female Rap Song For First Number One Hip-Hop Hit Of 2023

It seems like her near-beef with Latto over a misinterpreted lyric has really informed Coi Leray’s perspective. Moreover, she just took to Twitter to lament the fact that there still hasn’t been a number one rap song in 2023, and she has a plan to change that. What is it? Well, it consists of bringing together as many female rappers as possible for a ladies night of camaraderie, pure talent, and the ultimate collaborative spirit. “Ain’t been a #1 rap song at all this year,” the Boston native began her message. “Calling all the female rappers to front. Here me out. ladies night. Hip hop. Unity. #splash let’s make history with a number 1 … together .. with love. #justanidea.”

In addition, she also responded to fan questions and backlash. For example, one fan pointed out that there are simply too many out there to make a cohesive great song in time. “Someone of us can share verses,” Coi Leray suggested. “Split it up. Back and forth. Adlibs.” Another said that they don’t want unity, but rather beef. While Coi called that “distasteful and weird,” it’s unfortunately a prevailing attitude among not just fans, but plenty of artists alike right now.

Coi Leray’s Proposition For An All-Femcee Number One Song

How many times have outlets like ours reported on the latest beef between rappers or their fanbases across genders, including Coi Leray herself? Egos are big, the attention and money that beef makes is even bigger, and especially female rappers are unfortunately pitted against each other thanks to misogynistic stereotypes and an unfortunate inability to “play with the boys” as a result. The perception of there being one hot female rapper at a time is quickly vanishing, but fanbases and outlets are far too quick to make them step on each other to reach an elevated status at all.

Regardless, the 26-year-old has more music to look forward to in the future regardless of whether this single works out. Her upcoming sophomore album COI has a lot of singles under its belt already, and many are excited to see what she brings to the table. Hopefully her tweets plant the seeds for a banger to come, especially one that shows that the women in rap are leading the way right now. Coi Leray Wants An All-Woman Rap Collab To Be The First No. 1 Hip-Hop Song Of 2023, And She Has A Plan To Make It Work

Coi Leray has a solution to a notable music issue in 2023. Since the beginning of the year, a hip-hop song has not reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, nor has a hip-hop album topped the Billboard 200. But yesterday (June 13), Leray took to Twitter to share a potentially groundbreaking idea.

With women rappers dominating the hip-hop scene, Leray suggested that all of them unite for the ultimate hit single.

“Ain’t been a [No. 1] rap song at all this year,” Leray said. “Calling all the female rappers to front. [Hear] me out. ladies night. Hip hop. Unity.”

Of course, with so many talented women in rap, it would be hard to fit them all on one song. However, Leray offered some brilliant solutions which would allow all of the rappers an equal chance to shine.

“Someone of us can share verses,” she said. “Split it up. Back and forth. Adlibs.”

While this idea was met with support from many of Leray’s fans, some suggested that a rap beef would be more interesting. Leray immediately shut this down, saying this type of vibe is “distasteful and just weird.”

Leray is currently gearing up for the release of her sophomore album, Coi.

Coi Leray Wears Sheer All-Black Outfit With No Bra To Saint Laurent SS24 Runway

Coi Leray has strutted her stuff at Fashion Weeks around the world before, whether as an audience member, performer, or model. Never, though, has she been as bold as she was in Berlin, Germany this week. The Trendsetter artist was one of the special celebrity guests at the Saint Laurent SS24 menswear presentation, along with The Little Mermaid actress Jessica Alexander and Jeoghan from K-pop group Seventeen.

Ahead of the event, Leray shared a nearly naked photo dump to Instagram, letting brand designer Anthony Vaccarello know she had arrived in Europe. In those images, the 26-year-old wore a black thong with white crew socks and heels, shielding her breasts with a Saint Laurent bag while pretending to answer the phone. For the fashion show itself, Coi was technically more covered up. However, the sheer fabric and her decision to skip wearing a bra left her bare breasts on full display under the black lace of her long-sleeve top.

Coi Leray Conquers Germany

As Dazed notes, the fashion show unsurprisingly paid homage to SL’s roots and signature silhouettes. Sheer tops, of course, are something the original designer Yves Saint Laurent was best known for popularizing in his hey-day. He frequently featured the nude female figure on his runways, so seeing Leray and Vaccarello pay tribute to the late creative in such a way isn’t entirely surprising. Of course, the Boston baddie has never shied away from showing off her figure for her own reasons – especially as she continues to promote her sophomore LP, COI, due out later this month on June 23.

Coi Leray’s look for the Saint Laurent SS24 show is slightly too scandalous for us to show in full. Nevertheless, you can still check it out on her IG here and here. Are you a fan of Vaccarello’s latest designs? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Coi Leray Catches Our Attention While Posing In A Towel In Saucy New IG Post

We’re just two weeks out from the arrival of Coi Leray’s sophomore album, and so far, the 26-year-old’s marketing strategy seems to include plenty of thirst trapping. She’s never been one to hide her petite figure from the public eye, but in recent weeks, we’ve been receiving salacious content from Leray on a near-daily basis. The “Blick Blick” hitmaker’s most recent photo dump landed on Friday (June 9) afternoon, revealing to her millions of followers that she’s been living lavishly in London ahead of COI‘s debut.

“Can’t believe my sophomore album about to really drop,” the Boston-born artist reflected in the caption. “Truly grateful… Sky is the limit.” In the first photo, we see Leray cooly relaxing in what looks to be a luxurious hotel pool. She hides beneath a tight black swim shirt in the opening snap. The following images find her wearing little more than a towel while taking mirror snaps in various suggestive poses.

Coi was creative and crafty enough to make both a tube top and skirt out of towels, also wrapping her beautiful black hair up in one when she finished swimming. In the final image, the “Anxiety” artist finally opted to wear a towel in the traditional style, but couldn’t resist snapping a cheeky booty shot in the mirror before moving on to her next activities of the day.

Before taking some time to let her hair down in London, the rising starlet had a wild time in New York City last weekend. Not only was she one of the artists to perform at Hot 97 Summer Jam, but she also shared footage of her getting a little too lit in the Big Apple with her best friends. Coi Leray’s Bubbly ‘Bops’ Video Shows Off Her Plaques (And Plenty Of Skin)

Coi Leray has plenty to be proud of. In addition to having a new album, Coi, on the way, she’s been dominating pop culture, from features on songs like RAYE’S “Flip A Switch” to TV spots with the WNBA. She’s also had a string of viral hits like “No More Parties” and “Players,” with her latest single, “Bops,” looking like another addition to that growing list.

In the new video for “Bops” released today, Coi puts those accomplishments — and some of her other assets — on display, twerking in front of her RIAA plaques and Billboard Awards in a thong (in what appears to be her bathroom) while hosting what appears to be a fun little night in with friends. Those friends also dance throughout the video while standing on her couch (moms everywhere are furious), sharing a birthday cake, and shooting at each other with Nerf guns. The simple concept perfectly suits the similarly stripped-down production on the song, which relies heavily on cowbells and a straightforward synth lead.

In addition to “Bops” and “My Body,” Coi‘s other single, the album will include “Make My Day” with a contribution from David Guetta, “Spend It” featuring Saucy Santana, and “Man’s World,” which credits James Brown as a feature. The album drops on Uptown/Republic on 6/23.

Coi Leray Makes It Clap In Hot New “Bops” Music Video

As promised in the latter half of May, Coi Leray has returned today (June 6) with a long-awaited music video for her “Bops” single – one which includes no shortage of twerking from the 26-year-old. She’s been spending plenty of time shaking her booty as of late. We’ve seen her showing off on Instagram while promoting her quickly approaching sophomore album, COI. Elsewhere, she’s turning up the heat on stage, keeping her energy high while entertaining thousands of fans. Above all else, Leray continues to prove that she’s fully confident in her career as a superstar.

Apart from flaunting her body for the camera, we also see the Boston-born artist flexing some of her material achievements. Among them are Billboard Awards and RIAA plaques, which she happily made it clap in front of while wearing a tiny black thong. Later in the “Bops” video, Leray links up with friends at a party. The group eats plenty of cake and dances along to her hot single.

Upon releasing the @uniqueexvisions-directed effort this afternoon, Leray turned to Instagram to not only share a teaser clip, but also thank the countless people involved in the production, filming, and her glam. The “Players” songstress herself has been labelled as the creative director of the project, proving that she’s highly involved in the details of her work outside of just writing rhymes and dancing along to them.

It remains unclear at this time if the rising star plans to drop another single before COI lands on June 23. We’ve already heard her teasing “Make My Day,” and despite the mixed reception, Leray seems optimistic about the future success of her sophomore release.
