As promised, Gotti, 41, rallies the roster — along with some new signees — for the release of their high-anticipated debut compilation album, Gangsta Art, out now via Interscope Records.

Gangsta Art contains 27 new songs featuring guest appearances by Kodak Black, BIG 30, and Coi Leray. The project includes previously released singles “Steppers,” “Lurkin” and “Rocky Road.” And with the guest stars and singles are standout collaborations and chemistry on the roster’s abundance of posse cuts.

Gotti launched Collective Music Group, formerly known as Cocaine Muzik Group, in 2012 following the “Down In The DM” creator signing a record deal with Epic Records. Gotti would sign the label’s first act, Blac Youngsta, in 2015, then Moneybagg Yo in 2016. The success of Youngsta and Moneybagg have spawned offspring record labels in Heavy Camp and Bread Gang. Gotti would eventually sign Blockboy JB in 2018, 42Dugg in 2019, Big Boogie in 2020, EST Gee in 2021 and Mozzy in 2022.

Yo Gotti Announces Signing GloRilla to CMG

EDY08481DONE

“FNF” is running through the streets and now GloRilla is CMG. Yo Gotti announced the signing of the most-sought after rapper on the planet right now.

GloRilla has dominated the music scene since releasing “FNF” in late April. The song inspired the trending #FNFChallenge on TikTok, and the music video has amassed over 22 million views (and growing) since its debut. By bringing the fiery artist to his prestigious CMG record company in collaboration with Interscope Records, Gotti is bolstering the roster’s already potent talent and displaying the label’s diversity.

“GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now,” Gotti said. “It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late-April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music. Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

GloRilla has recently received a lot of support from the hip-hop scene, with co-signs from people like Cardi B, Saweetie, Latto, and others. By collaborating explosively on “Crunk Ain’t Dead” with Duke Deuce, she has managed to keep up her momentum.

“I’ve put in years of hard work to get this point and I’m blessed to sign with the hottest label in music with CMG,” GloRilla said. “I manifested this moment and trusted my talent even when others didn’t. I’m grateful for Gotti for believing in me and I’m not gonna let up. Trust that I have more new heat on the way.”

GloRilla now joins a roster that includes Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Blocboy JB, Lil Poppa, Big Boogie, Lehla Samia, and 10Percent.

Yo Gotti Signs ‘FNF’ Rapper GloRilla To His Label, CMG Records

Fans of turnt-up, unapologetically Southern crunk rap are undoubtedly tuned in to the monstrous hit that is Hitkidd and GloRilla’s “FNF (Let’s Go).” Released in May, the song has already accumulated well over 30 million streams across all platforms and has been tabbed as the song of the summer in many circles. That’s before Bay Area favorite Saweetie teased an impending remix, adding her star power to what has already become an unstoppable juggernaut of a hit. And now, the icing on the cake: The song has officially resulted in a label deal for the burgeoning Memphis hitmaker GloRilla, courtesy of one of her hometown’s heroes.

Yo Gotti, head of CMG Records and the rapper behind huge viral smashes such as “Down In The DM” and “Rake It Up,” announced he has signed GloRilla to his imprint via a video Tweet showing GloRilla and her friends mobbing their way onto a private plane, where she puts ink to paper to solidify their artistic partnership.

In a report about the signing, Yo Gotti told Billboard, “GloRilla is a natural born star – she has a different sound and approach that’s needed in hip-hop right now. It’s one of the quickest rises that I’ve seen in my career because she only dropped in late-April and now she has the hottest cultural records in music. Glo is hungry for success and determined to win. We look forward to watching her grow as an artist and reach her full potential.”

Meanwhile, GloRilla herself said of the move, “I’ve put in years of hard work to get this point and I’m blessed to sign with the hottest label in music with CMG. manifested this moment and trusted my talent even when others didn’t. I’m grateful for Gotti for believing in me and I’m not gonna let up. Trust that I have more new heat on the way.”

She’s not exaggerating; CMG is also home to several of rap’s fastest rising stars, including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, and EST Gee, all of whom have seen tremendous success in the last two years with either their debuts, follow-ups to their debuts, or joint projects masterminded by Yo Gotti himself. If the pattern holds, expect to see a lot more of GloRilla on the charts in the coming months.

Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, Mozzy, And Lil Poppa Drop Their NBA Finals Anthem, ‘Big League’

Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, Mozzy, and Lil Poppa have a heater on their hands. The crew just dropped their new collab, “Big League,” which is thought to come from a Collective Music Group collaborative album. The Murda Beatz-produced track features the rappers in “big league” mode, moments before the NBA finals gets underway.

Gotti announced via Twitter that “Big League” is the “official song of the NBA finals,” and upon first listen, no one should be surprised, as the song is filled with basketball references.

“Court-side seats, this the big bag/Hit a Ja Morant shot, get ‘em big mad/Real hustle knew one day it was gon’ pay off, pay off/Yeah, now I’m ballin’ in the play-offs, play-offs/Mansion in Miami, ball at the Celtics ‘Gotti, you the entree,’ yeah, I nailed it,” raps Gotti.

Moneybagg swoops in, rapping, “Been won a championship in the trap/This Rollie a trophy, I hold it up/They let us get up in the points, it’s a wrap/Gon’ shine every time, it’s an open look.”

In a recent interview with Billboard, Gotti took pride in assembling a line-up of all-stars in his Collective Music Group label, promising that he would never allow himself or his artists to sell out. “As a label, one thing we don’t do and will never do is be in a bidding war,” he said. “You want to be with us? Then we’ll work out business terms that make sense for both of us.”

Yo Gotti Signs First R&B Artist Lehla Samia to CMG

IMG 3144DONE

Yo Gotti has signed R&B artist Lehla Samia to his legendary CMG record company in collaboration with Interscope Records, making her the first woman to join the imprint’s ranks and heralding CMG’s growth into the R&B genre.

“I’m proud to welcome Lehla to the CMG family,” Gotti said. “She has an incredible voice, she’s creatively gifted and she’s been putting in the work to develop into the next R&B superstar. I’ve always said that CMG is more than just hip-hop label – we have our focus on building the biggest and most versatile force in the music industry. Signing Lehla is the latest example of that goal.”

The 22-year-old singer gained a large online following after making covers and remixes of popular R&B songs and posting them to social media under the moniker “LehMixes.” While juggling nursing school, Lehla gained a following after her TikTok flips of Queen Naija’s “Butterflies” and Coi Leray’s “No More Parties” went viral.

The covers and remixes helped the Delaware native get over 1.2 million followers on TikTok and 14 million likes to date. Most notably, Gotti was taken with Lehla’s dramatic vocals, prompting the CMG CEO to fly the emerging star to Miami for a studio session that would forever transform her life and career path.

“Signing with Gotti and joining the CMG team is a dream come true,” Lehla said. “I’ve been grinding for this opportunity for a minute and I’m really excited about this new chapter in my career. I can’t wait to share my story with the world and deliver that pure R&B sound for my old and new fans.”

Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, EST Gee, Mozzy, Blac Youngsta, Blocboy JB, Lil Poppa, Big Boogie, and 10Percent are just a few of the hip-hop artists who have signed to CMG.

Gotti, who signed Sacramento rapper Mozzy at the CMG Press Conference in February, inked rising Memphis artist 10Percent the same month, and just brought on Jacksonville sensation Lil Poppa to the CMG empire in April, is the latest in a string of new signees.

42 Dugg And EST Gee Hype Up Their Joint Album With The High-Flying ‘Free The Shiners’ Video

CMG rappers 42 Dugg and EST Gee have demonstrated natural, fan-pleasing chemistry numerous times over the last couple of years, so why not a full album? After sharing the tracks “Rose Gold,” “Cold Gangsta,” and “5500 Degrees” in the past few months, the two Midwesterners announced their joint project, Last Ones Left, at a CMG press conference last month. While they overshot their initial projected release date, they offered a promising sign of the album’s impending release today with the high-flying video for “Free The Shiners.”

The first inkling of the duo’s scintillating chemistry came on EST Gee’s I Still Don’t Feel Nun single “Members Only,” on which 42 Dugg contributed a verse to the Louisvillian’s breakout 2020 mixtape. That was also the tape that attracted the attention of CMG founder Yo Gotti, who scooped both rappers for his label. Gee then returned the favor on the Detroiter’s Free Dem Boyz mixtape in May of 2021. The duo went on to share the mic another two times, which helped spark the idea of putting both together as their waves crested at the same time, a la Lil Baby and Gunna in 2018. It sounds like a solid strategy, too; if it works out as well as it did for the two aforementioned Atlantans, EST Gee and 42 Dugg could end up being the next big names in rap.

42 Dugg And EST Gee Flex Like Their Lives Depend On It In The Lustrous ‘Rose Gold’ Video

At this point, it feels like you know what you’re getting with a video from Yo Gotti’s CMG camp. There will be cars, jewelry, stacks of cash, and perhaps most importantly, squads of scantily clad women twerking for the street-bred rappers signed to the label. When there are multiple CMG rappers involved, as there are in 42 Dugg‘s “Rose Gold” video featuring EST Gee, these trappings will be doubled to account for the additional rap star’s benefit.

Dugg and Gee do what they do best on the song, flexing their hard-won block credentials and the fruits of their success — both in the rap game and their “extracurricular” activities. The two rising stars do have undeniable chemistry together, which fits as both were hand-picked by Yo Gotti as the future of trap-inspired street rap. The two Midwestern spitters do similar things but in vastly different ways, with Dugg’s slippery flow reflecting the loose relationship between beat and rap cadence characteristic of rap artists from his hometown, Detroit, and EST Gee’s choppier approach evoking his fellow Louisvillians’ more precise attack.

“Rose Gold” is one of the 23 original tracks on Dugg’s latest mixtape, Free Dem Boyz, which is out now on CMG and Lil Baby’s 4PF label, along with “4 Da Gang,” “Maybach,” and “Turnest N**** In The City.”
