CMG The Label has unveiled the highly-anticipated Gangsta Art 2, the sequel to their star-studded compilation album. This project is now available for streaming on all major platforms through CMG Records/Interscope.
The album features an eclectic mix of dynamic collaborations and solo tracks from the label’s CEO, Yo Gotti, and an All-Star roster including Moneybagg Yo, GloRilla, Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, Mozzy, Lil Poppa, Big Boogie, and Lehla Samia. It also includes special guest appearances from Sexyy Red, Fivio Foreign, Gloss Up, BIG30, and more.
With 18 songs in total, Gangsta Art 2 highlights the label’s versatility. Listeners can expect fiery bars from Yo Gotti on tracks like “Fire Us,” “Soldier,” and “Foundation,” while Lehla Samia showcases her sultry voice on “You Want It.” Notable tracks also include GloRilla’s collaboration with Fivio Foreign on “Cha Cha Cha,” which merges their distinctive styles.
Leading up to the album’s release, GloRilla set the tone with “Wrong One,” featuring Gloss Up, Slimeroni, K Carbon, Aleza, and Tay Keith. Moneybagg Yo followed with “Big Dawg,” a memorable track with Sexyy Red featuring a mesmerizing hook.
Gangsta Art 2 follows the success of the label’s first compilation album, Gangsta Art, which dropped in July 2022. It featured collaborations with artists like Kodak Black, Coi Leray, BIG30, and more, earning praise and accolades. Additionally, GloRilla’s “Tomorrow” gained over 13 million views and 7 million streams on Spotify alone, and the collaborative effort “Big League” by Gotti, Moneybagg, Mozzy, and Lil Poppa became the official song of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.
This week marks an exciting week for music, as fans and music enthusiasts anticipate a wave of fresh releases. CMG (Collective Music Group) head honcho, Yo Gotti, has unveiled the highly-anticipated sequel dropping this Friday (Sept. 29), Gangsta Art 2. This project is a follow up to his 2022 CMG compilation album, Gangsta Art. Now, Gangsta Art 2 is on the way, and audiences have something to look forward to. This announcement was made a few days ago via Gotti’s IG, where he posted a video clip that started by showing off the CMG logo. The entire video clip was in black in white, and had classical music playing in the background. Each CMG signee was also featured in the video.
Last summer, the first installment of Gangsta Art graced our ears, setting a precedent for what was to come. With 27 tracks of music for audiences to vibe out to, the project did not disappoint. It also featured several star-studded guest appearances, such as Kodak Black, Coi Leray, and more. Each artist signed to the label got a moment to shine. Now, the forthcoming sequel, Gangsta Art 2, raises the stakes even higher. It is poised to continue the legacy of its predecessor while offering an entirely new tracklist. Yo Gotti has meticulously crafted this project to be a testament to his commitment to artistic innovation and creativity.
As fans eagerly await the release of Gangsta Art 2, they can look forward to this showcase of not only Yo Gotti’s lyrical prowess but also his ability to curate a musical experience with his label that resonates with a diverse audience. Having successfully carved his own path in the music industry, Yo Gotti has demonstrated his commitment to supporting aspiring artists through his CMG label. In one a recent gesture for example, he gave a lavish Maybach as a birthday surprise to GloRilla, the talent behind the chart-topping hit “F.N.F.” This act of generosity exemplifies Gotti’s dedication to taking care of the artists on his team.
However, it’s not all about giving back for Yo Gotti; he’s also keen on maintaining the spotlight for himself. In a highly anticipated move, the Southern sensation has recently unveiled a sequel that has been long-awaited by fans. Teaming up once again with the acclaimed DJ Drama, they delivered their highly-anticipated Gangsta Grillz tape, aptly named I Showed U So. This project dropped in July of this year. And it serves as a testament to Yo Gotti’s evolution as an artist and his unwavering dedication to delivering music that resonates with his audience. Stay tuned to HNHH for more updates on Gangsta Art 2.
Moneybagg Yo recruited one of the hottest artists out right now. For his new single, “Big Dawg,” he recruited “SkeeYee” rapper Sexyy Red to accompany the track and add her signature flair. The two go back and forth on the track, Moneybagg Yo rapping the verse and delivering the bars while Sexyy Red is on the hook responding to Yo’s adlib questions. “What’s yo type?” Moneybagg Yo asks on the track. “I want a big dawg,” Sexyy replies. The song is definitely a vibe and a collaboration that many looked forward to.
“Big Dawg” is Bagg’s first release since dropping his project Hard to Love in June. The project was a hit, and included bangers such as “Ocean Spray,” “Keep It Low” ft. Future, and “Quickie.” “Big Dawg” is set to be part of an upcoming compilation album titled Gangsta Art 2 with Moneybagg Yo’s CMG labelmates, scheduled for release on September 29. This upcoming album serves as a sequel to last year’s Gangsta Art. The project will feature other CMG signees such as Blac Youngsta, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, GloRilla, Mozzy, and more.
However, Moneybagg Yo has been busy with taking his music on the road. Currently, he is in the midst of his Larger Than Life arena tour, which started in August, is scheduled to wrap up by the end of this month. Meanwhile, Sexyy Red is also on a role. This has been an exciting year for the St. Louis native. The “Pound Town” rapper has seen viral success this year, with her debut album Hood Hottest Princess, and many exciting upcoming collaborations, she’s making it clear she’s not stopping any time soon. It’s been exciting to watch. However, with each release she’s getting more and more popular. Now, Sexyy Red has collaborated with one of Memphis’ top dogs — Moneybagg Yo. Her career continues to escalate.
Interestingly enough, the “Big Dawg” single comes after the two had teased a visual for what seemed to be a different song last week. In a video clip that circulated social media, Sexyy Red could be seen filming her music video while Moneybagg Yo danced in the background. The video was reportedly for Sexyy Red’s track titled, “Shake Yo Dreads.” We’ll keep you posted on HNHH if there’s any other upcoming collaborations between the two. In the meantime, let us know your thoughts on “Big Dawg!”
GloRilla is known for her sense of humor and doesn’t hesitate to embrace jokes, even if they’re directed at herself. During her appearance at the VMAs on September 12, where she presented Metro Boomin as a performer, social media users couldn’t help but take note of her distinct and thick Memphis accent as she read from the teleprompter. “What’s up New Jersey, how y’all feeling tonight?” GloRilla began. “Now I can’t walk in heels so y’all gotta bare with me now. This next performance comes from one of the biggest hip-hop producers in music today.” “A diamond certified superstar who’s not only nominated for four VMAs, but has also had multiple number one albums and 42 Billboard Hot 100 hits, featuring Future, Swae Lee, A Boogie With Da Hoodie, and NAV … give it up for Metro!” she continued.
While her introduction was high-energy and perfectly read, fans pointed out her pronunciation of “music,” and “Future.” The up-and-coming rapper has a distinctive Memphis accent that’s hard to ignore. It’s part of what makes her music so unique, and her voice and delivery so distinct. For instance, when she pronounces the word “music,” she elongates the first syllable into “myoo.” Additionally, she inserts an “r” sound in the middle, resulting in a pronunciation that sounds like “myursic.”
“Dey said dem R’s was kicking my ass,” GloRilla jokingly responded to the commentary after noticing the clip going viral. However, GloRilla is proud of her accent, and is even more proud of being from the city of Memphis. In numerous interviews, GloRilla has spoken about her love for the city. “Memphis is top tier when it comes to music,” the rapper said in an interview with Complex. “I’m so glad [that] the last couple years we’ve been getting the notoriety, because Memphis is known for music too.”
In the past year, GloRilla experienced a significant breakthrough in her career. Her track “F.N.F (Let’s Go)” went viral, propelling her to a new level of stardom. Being noticed by Yo Gotti and securing a label deal with CMG has helped escalate her further into success. In less than a year, GloRilla has seen numerous achievements. Her debut EP titled Anyways, Life’s Great debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 album chart. She also secured a BET Award, a Grammy nomination, and a notable endorsement from Cardi B which resulted in collaborating on the song “Tomorrow 2.”
For those who feel like rap music is stale these days, look no further than the latest album from EST Gee. The Louisville native’s proven there’s no ceiling to his creativity with each of his releases and his latest album, El Toro 2 is no exception. The rapper’s latest body of work consists of 20 songs in total with an array of incredible collaborators. Gee calls on the CMG boss Yo Gotti and his labelmate, the incarcerated 42 Dugg, for the tracklist, along with artists like Rylo Rodriguez and Lil Baby. The most surprising feature comes from the late Static Major who appears on “NOBODY ELSE.”
EST Gee’s ear for production, specifically, shines across the project. Frequent collaborator, FOREVEROLLING, leaves his imprint across the tracklist while producers like Tay Keith, Johngotit, Einer Bankz, and Fridayy also contribute to the tracklist. El Toro 2 serves as the sequel to EST Gee’s 2021 project and his second offering of the year following MAD. It’s another impressive opus from one of Louisville’s finest.
In the weeks leading up to the release of El Toro 2, EST Gee gave fans promising glimpses of what to expect. First, he provided fans with “TURN THE STREETS UP” in late May, less than three months after releasing MAD. Then, he dropped off the single, “XXL” followed by “A MOMENT WITH GOTTI” ft. Yo Gotti, who also appears on the outro of the project. Overall, EST Gee proves that he’s not slowing down in any capacity.
In addition to his solo efforts, EST Gee has been putting his best foot forward to shine a light on his label, Young Shiners. Between the release of MAD and El Toro 2, he released, Shiners Are Forever, a compilation project highlighting the artists on the Young Shiners roster. At this point, Gee has already established himself as a force to be reckoned with while proving that his ear for talent is just as strong as his ear for top-tier production. Check out El Toro 2 above.
Yo Gotti’s spent the majority of the past decade and a half establishing himself as a pivotal force in the South. Throughout the past few years, he’s released mixtapes and albums that have served as sermons for the streets. However, he’s always put his money where his mouth is, too. His entrepreneurial ventures, from his restaurant Prive to launching CMG, have turned him into a titan in the rap game, although it’s evident that recording music hasn’t been his primary focus in recent times.
Fortunately, he isn’t leaving fans empty-handed this summer. This morning, the Memphis rapper returned with the release of his new project, I Showed U So. Teaming up with DJ Drama for another installment in the Gangsta Grillz series, Gotti brings anthem after anthem that showcases how his hard-hitting flows continue to stick into the fabric of rap music. The 10-song album only includes features from Moneybagg Yo and Rich Homie Quan, allowing Gotti to speak his unfiltered thoughts.
A good chunk of the project finds Yo Gotti connecting with lesser-known producers and providing them with an opportunity to shine. However, Gotti does bring some star power through. Producers like Southside and the budding hitmaker, MoXart Beats, earn placements on “No Fake Love,” an immediate highlight of their project. Overall, I Showed U So is a firm reminder of Gotti’s commanding energy in the rap game.
Yo Gotti and DJ Drama’s connection on this project isn’t a coincidence. We’ve witnessed DJ Drama bring the Gangsta Grillz tape to the forefront in recent years, reconnecting with a number of artists that he worked with in the past. Gotti and DJ Drama previously connected in 2006 on Cocaine Muzik 4. Meanwhile, Drama’s already plotted some anticipated tapes with Pusha T and more. Check out I Showed U So above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section. Did Yo Gotti and DJ Drama deliver one of the best tapes of 2023?

Under his mentorship, several artists have achieved significant success, contributing to Yo Gotti’s growing net worth.
Moreover, Yo Gotti proved his acumen in business by investing in various ventures. One notable enterprise is his restaurant “Prive” in Memphis, which has become a hotspot for food enthusiasts and a symbol of his commitment to his hometown. This diversification of income streams played a crucial role in elevating his net worth to new heights.
Alongside his music and entrepreneurial ventures, Yo Gotti expanded his portfolio into real estate investments. He demonstrated a keen eye for lucrative opportunities in the property market, acquiring and developing properties in strategic locations. These investments not only provided financial stability but also secured his long-term financial future.
Despite his growing wealth and success, Yo Gotti remains dedicated to giving back to his community. He has been actively involved in philanthropy and charitable endeavors. Over the years, his charitable efforts have focused on supporting education, youth empowerment, and community development initiatives in Memphis.

Moneybagg Yo came to dominate the summer. The Memphis rapper had fans on their toes over the past few weeks. Although he intended to drop the project last week, he had a change of plans due to the release of Taylor Swift’s Midnights (The Til Dawn Edition). Fans had to wait another week but finally, he came through on Friday (June 2nd) morning with Hard To Love: Heartless Edition. The rapper returns to his roots, delivering another installment in his celebrated mixtape series.
The latest opus from Moneybagg Yo boasts an impressive 20 songs in total. Although he holds down a large part of the project on his own, he brings on a list of stellar collaborators on the journey. Future, who he collaborated with on “Hard For The Next,” joins him on “Keep It Low.” Lil Durk joins Bagg and YTB FATT on “Rock Out,” while GloRIlla comes through on the previously released single, “On Wat U On.” YTB FATT, who joined Moneybagg Yo’s Bread Gang Ent in recent months, also appears on “Shot Off Gumbo,” alongside Fat Wizza, which dropped in March.
Although a mixtape, Moneybagg Yo’s latest project is another step forward in his career. Along with highlighting the latest signee to Bread Gang, he revealed in a letter to fans on Thursday that he’s readying the release of his official follow-up to A Gangsta’s Pain. However, he acknowledged that he’s faced a number of adversities over the past few years, including the passing of his children’s mother Chyna Santana.

EST Gee lets the music do the talking, such as on the new single “Turn The Streets Up.” The Louisville, KY rapper was born to humble beginnings in the Clarksdale projects — a notoriously crime-ridden neighborhood of the city. In high school, rap wasn’t exactly on the radar of EST Gee. In fact, he felt as though his best chance at making a successful career out of himself was in football.
“All everyone cares about in Louisville is making it to college sports. I had to try to make it for my people, especially ’cause I never been bad at nothin’,” he told Pitchfork. His 6″1′ figure and athletic talents earned him a football scholarship at Indiana State University. Although he became a promising prospect, his football career would be derailed after he dropped out of college. Eventually, he was put on house arrest for drug trafficking charges and forced to evaluate a new potential career path.
His many failures throughout his formative years have molded him into a composed and dedicated figure. That temperament has translated into his raps, which contain wise words that one might hear from a life-long mentor. EST Gee’s verses cover unsettling street tales, cynical and overbearing in nature. Named George Stone III, he’s certainly been through the wringer throughout his short 29-year life. From a failed football career to a house arrest, EST Gee found himself motivated to pursue rap by 2017. However, this would only be a prelude to his struggles. At a music video shoot in 2019, he was shot four times in the stomach and one time in the left eye. In addition, EST Gee’s mother and brother would tragically pass away within a week of each other in 2020. This is someone who’s seen the world’s lowest, which is directly reflected in his enraged yet composed sound.
EST Gee Blew Up In 2020
His 2020 mixtape, I Still Don’t Feel Nun, put EST Gee on the map. Aided by the star power of artists like Kevin Gates, Moneybagg Yo, and Jack Harlow, among others, his narrative approach is far different from many of his contemporaries. He’s not glorifying street life, bragging about lavish jewelry, or one-upping another man through violence. Instead, EST Gee is sullen about the streets, doing the opposite of glorifying that lifestyle. “I know you heard about G/Last n***as that played with me had two, three surgeries/The young n***as can learn from me/The opps dream about burnin’ me,” he raps on “Get Money.” A quick interview with EST Gee explains this perspective. Equipped with a stoic perspective, little of his demeanor seems to blend in with the unpredictability of his upbringing. Instead, EST Gee seeks stability after already living out the emotional baggage of multiple lives within one.
EST Gee’s sound blends the sonic influences surrounding Louisville, Kentucky. The area isn’t exactly a breeding ground for worldwide creatives, meaning that he was forced to pull from what was around him. As a result, his sonic palette stands out amongst his peers of trap rappers. He contains both the rage of Chicago’s drill scene and the lyrical covers of areas such as Baton Rouge. Utilizing music as a vessel for his suffering, EST Gee began his mission of becoming a household name hip-hop scene by 2020. His unique sound was quickly caught on by Yo Gotti, who signed him to Collective Music Group. While already gaining significant praise from established figures, his fifth mixtape, Bigger Than Life Or Death, released via CMG, boasted appearances from Future and Lil Baby.
He’s One Of The Most Consistent MCs Out
It’s already been a big 2023 for rapper EST Gee. Back in March, he released a 14-track album in the form of MAD. The album received mixed reviews for its commercial sound compared to the cold-blooded nature of his breakout mixtapes Ion Feel Nun and I Still Dont Feel Nun. However, the project still has plenty of stand-out moments such as the drum-fueled “Blow Up” or the melodic success of “Us.” EST Gee is more retrospective on the project, looking back on how his mainstream success has impacted his local Louisville community. On “Undefeated,” he reflects on how his mother’s passing has left a hole in his personal life. In essence, MAD solidified EST Gee as one of the most consistent MCs out.
Only two months later, EST Gee is back with his single “Turn The Streets Up.” The song is direct and hard-hitting, with EST Gee playing the villain role amidst lyrical creative bars. He also expresses growth with his hook game, employing a unique vocal cadence. In essence, this is someone who’s displaying immense hunger after finally making it through a variety of tragedies and trials throughout his life. Armed with support from contemporaries such as 42 Dugg or Future, EST Gee has an illustrious and influential career ahead.
