DeMar DeRozan Issues Unbothered Response To Drake’s Raptors Game Dig

Yesterday, Drake threw some serious shade at DeMar DeRozan at the Toronto Raptors’ game against the Sacramento Kings. He came out for Vince Carter’s jersey retirement ceremony, and when asked what he thought about the idea of DeRozan being honored on the team’s broadcast, he shut it down.

“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself,” he remarked. Drake also said it’s “unfortunate we’re playing this goof tonight” in reference to DeRozan, and was spotted staring him down throughout the evening. Fortunately, it doesn’t look like DeRozan was too bothered by all of this. After the game, he brushed off Drake’s banner comment when asked about it. “He’s going to have a long way to climb to take it down, so tell him good luck,” he said.

DeMar DeRozan Tells Drake, “Good Luck”

It remains unconfirmed exactly what prompted Drake to start taking swipes at DeRozan. Social media users, however, have some theories. DeRozan, for one, appeared at Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” show and in his “Not Like Us” music video. It’s possible that Drizzy saw this as a breach of loyalty, even though DeRozan previously claimed he still considers the rapper a friend.

“Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed,” DeRozan told The Sacramento Bee in July. “It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day it’s music, entertainment. Two of the biggest rappers in the world went at it from a competitive standpoint and they battled it out. While the news was exciting to many, others were outraged and perceived it as a snub to Lil Wayne, as the event is set to take place in his hometown of New Orleans. During his performance at Lil Weezyana Fest yesterday, he referenced the debacle, making it clear that he’s not quite over it.

“I told myself I wanna be on stage at the Super Bowl in front of my mom and I worked my a** off to get that position,” he told the crowd. “It was ripped away from me but this moment right here… they can’t take this away from me.”

This isn’t the first time Lil Wayne has expressed his disappointment over the apparent snub, however. According to Bossip, hairstylist and former Pick A Side contestant Shakira Hardy is currently pregnant with his fifth child. In various clips posted by both Scrappy and Shakira, the two of them are seen celebrating their unborn child at a baby shower. She confirmed that they’re expecting a boy, and thanked him for all of his help with the event. “Shoutout to my baby daddy for making sure he was there and hands-on Thank youuuuuu,” she wrote.

Lil Scrappy & Shakira Host A Baby Shower For Unborn Child

Rumors that Scrappy was expecting another child started earlier this year when Now That’s TV star Nya Ray took to TikTok to do the “Put A Finger Down Challenge.” In her video, she revealed that she allegedly had a threesome with Scrappy and Shakira while pursuing Scrappy, and later found out Shakira was pregnant with his child. Allegedly, they used protection, but Nya eventually left the two of them alone to go pick up her daughter. She alleged that after finding out about Shakira’s pregnancy, she asked him what happened after she left, and he claimed he couldn’t remember because he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Nya also alleged that Scrappy tried to pressure her to talk Shakira out of having the child.

Funk Flex Blasts Shyne For Alleging He Was Diddy’s “Fall Guy” In Nightclub Shooting

Earlier this week, Hulu dropped off a trailer for their upcoming documentary, The Honorable Shyne. The doc, which airs on November 18, will summarize Shyne’s journey to the top. Unfortunately, however, not everyone is looking forward to it. In the trailer, Shyne discusses the 1999 nightclub shooting that resulted in him going to prison for nearly a decade. He and Diddy were both charged in the case, but Diddy was later acquitted.

“I was absolutely set up to be the fall guy,” Shyne alleges in the doc. “I spent ten years in prison but I was able to move on. There’s a time to pivot, there’s a time to transition.” Now, in a new clip, Funk Flex is heard going off on Shyne for these remarks.

Funk Flex Accuses Shyne Of Lying

He repeatedly accused Shyne of being a “liar,” told him he “can’t stand” him, claimed he had “no guts,” and more. “I am going to expose you, Shyne,” he also threatened. Clearly, Funk Flex has strong feelings about all of this. This isn’t the first time he’s come to Diddy’s defense, however. At the beginning of this month, attorney Tony Buzbee announced plans to represent over 120 individuals who accuse Diddy of alleged sexual assault, abuse, and more. At the time, Funk Flex made it clear he wasn’t buying it.

“120 people sexually assaulted by Diddy, for real? 120 people, sexually assaulted by Diddy. Stop. Just say you’re broke and you need money,” Funk Flex asked in response to the allegations. “You know what we don’t like here, you know the situation we don’t like. Kendrick Lamar recently sat down with SZA for Harper’s Bazaar, but the interview hasn’t exactly been well received. Adam22, for example, was quick to put the Compton rapper on blast for what he saw as a “softball” interview. “Supporting Black media outlets, hip hop media outlets,” he said sarcastically on his podcast earlier this week. “Supporting real journalism, you let your label mate, basically, interview you.”

Now, the No Jumper host believes that SZA heard his commentary, and wasn’t at all pleased with it. During a recent chat with DJ Akademiks, he explained how one social media user had a poll asking whether or not he’s a “culture vulture,” on which SZA voted yes. “I’m gonna be real with you, I couldn’t pick SZA out of a police lineup right now like I do not know anything about SZA. So that’s pretty cool, honestly,” he claimed.

Adam22 Thinks SZA Was Upset By His Take On Her Kendrick Lamar Interview

This prompted Akademiks to look back on his own past with SZA, which has been rocky, to say the least. Last August, he went on an unhinged rant about the Grammy winner’s appearance, calling her “fat as f**k,” making fun of her BBL, and much more. Months later, he revealed that in the midst of their beef, he received a call from Drake trying to squash it.

Adam22 wasn’t the only one with a controversial opinion on Kendrick’s interview with SZA, however. Joe Budden also shared his take on it during an episode of his podcast, theorizing that Kendrick was trying to pander to Drake’s fanbase. “I felt like this is him coming around having to pander back to the pansies,” he speculated. “‘I killed King Pansy–‘ to him, I’m not calling him that.
