Kanye West Thanks Drake For Writing “Yikes” Chorus During China Show

It goes without saying that Kanye West and Drake go way back, and it looks like the Yeezy founder hasn’t forgotten. During his recent performance in China, for example, he gave Drizzy a shoutout for his contributions to one of his songs. The track in question was his 2018 Ye cut, “Yikes.”

“I wanna thank Drake for writing this chorus for me,” Ye said onstage. The shoutout took place just a couple of months after the Toronto hitmaker’s 100-gigabyte data dump. The drop included music, behind-the-scenes footage, and more. It even included a clip of Drake working on “Yikes,” which proved just how involved he was in its creation.

This isn’t the first time that Ye’s given Drake a shoutout in recent months, however. At his Vultures listening event in Korea in August, he also mentioned Drake onstage, though the moment left fans fairly confused. “This one’s for Drake, this one’s for Ian Connor,” he said just before playing “I Wonder.” While many speculated that he was throwing shade, others theorized that Ye was simply using Drake’s name for clout. Some even suspected that Drake’s viral loss to Kendrick Lamar earned him some sympathy from Ye. The Chicago rapper hopped on a remix of “Like That” not long before that, however, seemingly indicating whose side he was on in the lyrical battle.

While some viewers believe that Ye was genuinely thanking Drake for his contribution to the song, others have their doubts. Many users in NFR Podcast‘s comments section think he simply said this because the aforementioned footage of Drake writing it came out. Common Gets Candid About Potentially Marrying Jennifer Hudson

Common and Jennifer Hudson have been going strong for several months now, and it looks like the duo is not opposed to taking things to the next level. During a radio appearance last month, the rapper said that if he were to get married, Hudson would be his wife. He’d have to be positive that it was the best decision for both of them, however.

Earlier this week, Common appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show. Of course, Hudson had some follow-up questions. “I was asked about marriage, and I just answered honestly,” he explained. “I said—you know what? You told me a quote that your mother said. ‘A man knows what he wants.’ And I was just saying my true feelings about—listen, Jennifer is the person. If I should be married, it will be to Jennifer Kate Hudson. I was just being honest.”

As for how Hudson feels about all of this, she claims her late mother would approve. “My mother was right,” she said. “I think if she had met you, she’d say, ‘I don’t know about the rest of them but that Common is alright with me.’ That’s what she would say! And I would agree. I think it’s a beautiful thing. I think you’re a deserving man. And I support that idea. That’s a beautiful idea… In due time. If it ever gets to that place.”

“I’m listening to God more and more,” Common also added. “I know what purpose is. Earlier this week, Jaguar Wright appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she made several bombshell allegations against her industry peers. According to Ray J, however, she should have sat down with him instead. Recently, he took to social media to call her out, claiming that he previously offered her money for an interview.

“You wanna keep taking these other n***as money and not showing love to the community? That sh*t weak as f*ck,” he explained. Ray J went on to urge her to reach out to him right away so she can make money, “and [he] can understand what the f*ck [she’s] talking about so we’ll know what’s the truth and what’s not.”

He continued, calling her decision to go to another outlet “janky as f*ck” and more. “You’re hitting all these other motherf*ckers back that’s from all these other countries. Like you safe over there. You safe with me. Stop acting scary, Jaguar,” Ray J added. He took a moment to lower his voice and apologize for cursing, claiming that his rant was “with all due respect.” He even asked Jaguar to “help [him] be a better person.” At the time of writing, it remains unclear why Wright decided against an interview with Ray J, or if she’d ever consider one in the future.

While Ray J is certainly passionate about the topic, this doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, as Wright never fails to make headlines with her wild claims. Diddy’s ongoing legal battle and recent arrest have prompted the public to take a closer look at the mogul’s past. He’s not the only person under intense scrutiny these days, however. Those who’ve attended his parties, or otherwise associated with him, are also being called into question. Recently, for example, Kevin Hart was questioned about previously hosting one of his hotel bashes.

Entertainment Tonight spotted the comedian in West Hollywood earlier this week, grabbing dinner with his wife Eniko. “Hey, Kev. When you hosted for Diddy, did you catch any baby oil?” the paparazzo asked him. Of course, this is a reference to Diddy’s federal indictment, which revealed that authorities found roughly 1,000 bottles of baby oil on his property. While this revelation has resulted in countless jokes and memes, Hart didn’t seem amused by the question.

“You asking the wrong person the wrong question, man,” he said simply. The paparazzo persisted, however, proceeding to ask whether or not he thought the Bad Boy founder was “safe” behind bars. His unenthused response arrives after footage of him hosting a Diddy party at a hotel back in 2010 surfaced online and went viral. The party in question was thrown to celebrate the Diddy-Dirty Money album Last Train to Paris.

As for how Diddy’s legal battle is going, attorney Tony Buzbee announced earlier this week that he’s representing 120 individuals who plan to take legal action against him. Reportedly, they accuse him of sexual assault, abuse, and more with some claiming to have been minors during the alleged abuse. During a recent interview with Earn Your Leisure at Invest Fest, he explained exactly why that is. According to him, he’d have to channel his inner “st*pidity” to write music that fits in with the rest of what’s coming out these days.

Since he believes this is the case, he’s opted to spend more of his time on film production, which he thinks he could make a greater difference with. “If you listen to the music that’s out right now, I have to tap into my st*pid,” he began. “I have to tap into the st*pid side of me to write the right thing when it comes time to write the music.”

He told Evropa 2 in November that he planned to drop a new album after wrapping up his “Final Lap” tour.

Earlier this week, the G-Unit mogul took to Instagram to share a video montage of Tony Yayo talking about his longstanding feud with Diddy. In the clips, he makes it clear that Fif never got along with Diddy, meaning that he and his associates had “always been hated” in the industry.

“I never been to a P Diddy party or JAY-Z brunch,” he explained in one clip. “I know it’s cool to be down with Diddy and JAY-Z. We was down with 50, [he] had beef with everybody.” 50 Cent took the opportunity to jokingly remind himself not to share his business with Yayo if he didn’t want it shared with the world.

Instead of answering the question, Yayo shut DJ Vlad down and urged him to stop asking questions about 50 Cent. At the time, he also told Vlad that his collaborator doesn’t like him simply because he talks about him far too much.

R Kelly’s Daughter Breaks Down Over Devastating Allegations In New Doc Trailer

R Kelly is currently behind bars for alleged racketeering, trafficking, sexual abuse of minors, and more. Now, it looks like the disgraced R&B star could be facing even more disturbing allegations. In a trailer for an upcoming doc, exclusively shared by The Jasmine Brand earlier today, several of his family members discuss his alleged crimes and how they’ve impacted them.

His ex-wife Drea Kelly, for example, gets tearful about what he’s allegedly done to their children. She questions why he had to allegedly harm their little ones after already allegedly harming her. His daughter Joanne also gets incredibly emotional about what he’s allegedly put her and the rest of their family through. They do not specify exactly what they’re accusing him of in the trailer. The documentary, which was executive produced by Mann Robinson, is scheduled to come out on October 11. “He knows exactly why we can’t have the relationship that we would have liked with him,” Joanne explains in the trailer.

“He was my everything,” she continues at a different point in the trailer. “For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that it happened. Lecrae Apologizes To J Cole For Drunken First Encounter

During a recent appearance on the New Rory and Mal podcast, Lecrae recalled his first time ever meeting J Cole. According to him, they had run into each other at a Super Bowl party, where he had a few too many drinks. Unfortunately, he says this resulted in an encounter so awkward that he woke up the next morning with serious regrets.

“I see Cole, I go up to Cole and I’m like, ‘Yo, what’s up, man?’ And he’s like, ‘What’s going on, bro?” he recalled. “I said, ‘Let me ask you a question, man. You believe in God?’ He was like, ‘Yeah.’ I said, ‘Word? So you go to church?’ He said, ‘I grew up in church but I really wouldn’t say that [I’m a Christian].’”

From there, Lecrae decided that he needed to give J Cole his number so he could spread the word. “You need to call me, bro. Let’s talk!” he said. “It gets worse. [He was like] ‘Alright, put your number in my phone.’ So I put my number in his phone, but I didn’t type my name and then I gave him his phone back, and he walks away.” Lecrae then realized his mistake and stopped J Cole in his tracks. “I said, ‘Wait a minute! I ain’t even tell you my name, bro.’ He said, ‘I know who you are.’ I was like, ‘Oh!’ and I walked the walk of shame.”

Ultimately, Lecrae woke up the next day embarrassed by his behavior. “The next morning I was like, ‘Oh my God! What did I do?! What did I say?!’ So Cole, if you watching this, I apologize for the way I approached you,” he concluded.
