Nick Chubb Suffers Graphic Knee Injury, ESPN Refuses To Show Replay

It is almost always a bloodbath when the Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers face off. While it has been a one-sided rivalry for quite some time, things have been more competitive as of late. There will continue to be no love lost between these opponents from a competitive standpoint. It was a physical game just last night as the Steelers picked up a much-needed victory, 26-22, after getting obliterated by San Francisco last weekend. For the Browns, they fell to 1-1, but the worst part of it all was losing their star, Nick Chubb.

Right near the start of the second quarter, the visiting Browns were driving. Down 3-7, they were just a few yards away from the endzone. On first and goal Deshaun Watson handed it off to Chubb, as he barrelled his way for a solid gain with Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick making the tackle. However, it was not a routine sequence of events. What happened during the play might be extremely sensitive to some viewers. Please watch this video clip below at your own discretion.

Nick Chubb’s Season Is Over After This Tragic Injury

As you can see in the slo-mo video above, Chubb’s left leg bends very aggressively, which left him in tons of obvious pain. According to TMZ Sports, as well as many others, Chubb will not be returning to the field this season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed it to reporters saying it was a “significant knee injury.” It was so hard to rewatch that ESPN announcers Joe Buck and Troy Aikman said they were not going to show it. Nick also wrecked the same knee back in his college days at Georgia. It is a heartbreaking end for a player who is so well-liked across the league. We send our thoughts to Chubb as he recovers.

What are your initial thoughts on this video of Nick Chubb’s gruesome leg/knee injury? Do you think he will return as the same player next season? Who should the Browns get to fill the void at running back after this news he will be done for the year? We want to hear what you have to say about all of this. Johnny Manziel Reveals He Nearly Took His Own Life After NFL Exit

Johnny Manziel was once considered the future of the NFL. The Heisman Trophy winner in 2012, Manziel was the second quarterback off the board in 2014, being drafted by the Browns 22nd overall. However, Manziel never lived up to the hype generated by his college career. He appeared in just 15 games over 2014 and 2015, starting eight. Mustering a 2-6 record across his eight starts, he threw for 1675 yards, throwing seven touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Manziel also had a string of off-field issues, including going to rehab during the 2015 offseason and being benched for partying during the 2015 season. These issues, plus his underwhelming on-field play, led the Browns to cut him ahead of the 2016 season. The team drafted Cody Kessler in the third round of that year’s draft. That led to a very dark period in Manziel’s life.

Manziel Contemplated Suicide

Next week, Netflix will release Untold: Johnny Football, the latest episode of their long-running Untold series. “I think I was just running from problems,” Manziel said of his suicide plans. “It was probably a $5 million bender. Direct self-sabotage, trying to burn this thing down.” Manziel had an elaborate plan to blow all his money and then end it all. “I had planned to do everything that I wanted to do at that point in my life. Spend as much money as I possibly could and then my plan was to take my life. Months prior, I went and bought a gun I knew I was going to use. I wanted to get as bad as humanly possible to where it made sense and it made it seem like an excuse and an out for me.”

Manziel is in a much better place now. Earlier this week, he announced that he was going to return to his alma mater of Texas A&M. There, he will open a new sports bar called “Johnny Manziel’s Money Bar” and will reportedly open in time for the start of the 2023 season. Untold: Johnny Football drops on August 8 on Netflix. It is the second episode of the third season.

Jim Brown, Football Legend and Civil Rights Activist, Dead at 87

Football legend Jim Brown has died at age 87. His wife, Monique, shared the news on Instagram, stating the Hall of Fame running back "passed peacefully" in his Los Angeles home on Thursday night.

Football legend Jim Brown has died at age 87. His wife, Monique, shared the news on Instagram, stating the Hall of Fame running back, civil rights activist, and actor “passed peacefully” in his Los Angeles home on Thursday night.

“It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my husband, Jim Brown. He passed peacefully last night at our LA home. To the world he was an activist, actor, and football star. To our family, he was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Our hearts are broken…”

– Jim Brown

“On behalf of the entire NFL family, we extend our condolences to Monique and their family,” NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement on Friday. “Jim Brown was a gifted athlete — one of the most dominant players to ever step on any athletic field — but also a cultural figure who helped promote change.

“During his nine-year NFL career, which coincided with the civil rights movement here at home, he became a forerunner and role model for athletes being involved in social initiatives outside their sport. He inspired fellow athletes to make a difference, especially in the communities in which they lived.”

Jim Brown played for the Cleveland Browns, leading the franchise to their last championship in 1964. The Browns current owners remembered the franchise star admirably.

“Jim Brown is a true icon of not just the Cleveland Browns but the entire NFL,” Browns owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam said in a statement on Friday. “He was certainly the greatest to ever put on a Browns uniform and arguably one of the greatest players in NFL history. Jim was one of the reasons the Browns have such a tremendous fan base today. So many people grew up watching him just dominate every time he stepped onto the football field but his countless accolades on the field only tell a small part of his story.”

Legendary Running Back Jim Brown Dies

Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown has died at the age of 87, according to his wife Monique. Announcing the news on Instagram, she said that Brown had “passed peacefully” at their Los Angeles home on Thursday night.

Brown was a legendary figure who helped define the early days of the professional football. After a successful career at Syracuse University, Brown was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. He retired after eight seasons and a pre-merger NFL Championship in 1964. After retiring, Brown became a prolific actor and community organizer. In 1988, he found Amer-I-Can, a program that helped rehabilitate gang members.

Jim Brown – The Man Who Walked Away In His Prime

Starting out as a four-sport athlete in Long Island, Brown committed himself to football and in 1954, joined Ben Schwartzwalder’s Syracuse Orange squad. While the Orange would win a National Championship in 1959, they went just 16-9 over Brown’s three seasons on the team. Their best season was in 1956, when they went 7-2 and made the Cotton Bowl. Brown rushed for 986 yards and 13 touchdowns that season was drafted sixth overall by the Cleveland Browns in 1957. Over the next eight years, Brown amassed 12,312 rushing yards and 106 touchdowns. He was the NFL rushing yards leader in all eight seasons he played and led the league in rushing touchdowns five times. Brown’s jersey has been retired by both Syracuse and the Browns.

However, Brown abruptly retired at the age of 30 and just one year removed from the Browns’ 1964 NFL title. Brown wanted to act and had been cast in The Dirty Dozen. But production ran long and Browns owner Art Modell threatened to cut his pay, so Brown hung up his cleats. He would go on to make 51 on-screen appearances, many as a leading man at MGM. He also enjoyed a long career in sports broadcasting and fight announcing, becoming the first black boxing announcer on a televised broadcast in 1965. However, Brown would also face numerous legal challenges throughout his life, being acquitted a number of times on charges of assault. Elsewhere, Brown also sought to give back to his community, serving as a major civil rights advocate, especially in his home state of New York.

Deshaun Watson Sends Message To His Doubters

Deshaun Watson’s debut with the Cleveland Browns was rather forgetful. However, the Browns quarterback did have more than football to deal with. Watson has been accused of sexually abusing multiple women during his time with the Houston Texans. The alleged abuse was between Watson and over 20 different masseuses. The alleged incidents forced the NFL to suspend Watson for only eleven games last season. Add those eleven games to the full season Watson missed a year prior, and the former Clemson QB was out of action for a very long time.

Watson’s return last year showed that the former Heisman Trophy winner was more than rusty. The first-year Browns QB appeared in six games, throwing just seven touchdowns. Many believe the Browns decision to bring Watson in may be one of the biggest mistakes in league history. However, that isn’t even something Watson is currently thinking about. In his appearance with the media on Tuesday, Watson was asked about those who doubt that he can still play the game at a high level.

Deshaun Watson Isn’t Worried About The Doubters

“I don’t say anything. That’s their own opinions. I know who I am. This organization knows who I am. At the end of the day, I have the opportunity to prove (myself).” Watson told the media that he has no opinion on what the doubters say. Mentioning that only he can prove that he still has what it takes to be successful. However, the Browns and Watson have to be feeling the pressure. At the time of Watson’s arrival in Cleveland, he was the highest-paid player in the NFL.

However, the accusations against Watson shouldn’t be forgotten. Every person who claims to be a victim of these alleged crimes should be heard and respected for what they are saying. There is no place for sexual assault in this world. Because Watson is a famous athlete, doesn’t mean he should get a free pass. However, not a lot is being said on the issue as time continues to pass. Watson’s legal issues are still heavily involved in his personal life. However, one day the truth shall be told to all. Jadeveon Clowney Issues Apology To Myles Garrett

Jadeveon Clowney and the Cleveland Browns have been going through a breakup as of late. Clowney has made it clear that he will be leaving the Browns at the end of the season. Overall, his time with the team was fun, although it was becoming clear that he wanted out.

In the meantime, he has made some interesting comments to the media. In fact, one of those comments came at the expense of fellow defensive star Myles Garrett. While speaking to the media, Clowney said “You’re all trying to get [Garrett] into the Hall of Fame instead of winning games.”

Consequently, Browns fans were a bit upset with Clowney’s remarks. After all, Garrett is a huge star, and the fans felt like these comments could be hurtful. Subsequently, Clowney listened to the criticism and issued an apology through his publicist, according to TMZ.

“As a son and a parent I want to fully apologize to anyone I offended, specifically Myles Garrett and his family,” Clowney said. “My words in the lockerroom were not only taken out of context, but completely misrepresented.”

The Browns missed the playoffs for a second-straight season. That said, it shouldn’t be surprising that they are looking to move on from some of their guys. Of course, with comments like these, Clowney is making it very easy for the Browns to say goodbye.

Jake Paul Joins NFL’s Cleveland Browns In An Unexpected Way

At this point, it’s impossible to avoid Jake Paul‘s name on social media and in the headlines.

As the social media star’s list of business ventures continues to grow, his latest comes in the form of a contract with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns.

He won’t, however, be suiting up to play on the field for the currently third-place AFC North team.

In a shocking post to his Instagram account on Friday (December 23), the influencer teased that he would be joining the Browns. He’s seen posing at a press conference alongside the team’s Executive Vice President, JW Johnson.

Since Johnson is holding up a jersey with Paul’s name on it, the post certainly stirred up some conversations. “Excited to be on the team @clevelandbrowns @nfl,” reads the caption.

In another video that’s part of the same post, Paul is seen on FaceTime with Johnson discussing a contract. “Crazy news, guys, I got a contract with the Cleveland Browns,” says the 25-year-old before answering the call. “We’re fired up. [We] can’t wait to get you here today and get you to sign that contract, and excited to have you be a part of the team, man,” Johnson tells the boxer.

The Cleveland Browns subsequently took to their own Instagram account to officially welcome the Cleveland native to their organization in a press conference.

In the amusing clip, the influencer immediately expresses his long-time dream of playing in the NFL, implying that the forthcoming announcement will be making that dream come true. The E.V.P. clarifies that they’re actually bringing him on to be a part of their social media team instead.

Although it’s evidently not what he wants, the YouTuber still signs the contract. His official position is the team’s “junior associate content assistant.”

After rising to fame by starring in the Disney Channel show, Bizaardvark for two seasons, the 25-year-old began taking to social media platforms like Vine and YouTube to further his popularity.

Ever since 2018 though, Paul’s main focus has been on his professional boxing career. He’s currently 6-0 as a boxer, with four of those six wins coming in the form of a knockout. He has controversially beaten opponents such as former NBA player Nate Robinson and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Most recently, he defeated former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva by unanimous decision in October.

Deshaun Watson Reacts To His Slow Start

Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns were always destined to have a rocky go of things. The circumstances surrounding his signing were dubious, to say the least. Following numerous sexual assault accusations, Watson was signed to a massive contract with the most guaranteed money ever.

Overall, it was a shocking deal, especially since Watson’s legal problems were still ongoing. Regardless, the Browns made their decision and lived with the consequences. Subsequently, Watson was hit with a massive 11-game suspension, and he was only able to return to action two weekends ago.

Deshaun Watson Speaks

If you’ve been watching Watson as of late, you know that he has struggled a bit since returning to action. Of course, this was to be expected, however, some fans are certainly excited about his issues. He’s not liked right now, and other fanbases are looking for any reason to rejoice.

His record is currently 1-1, and he has two interceptions as well as just one touchdown. Furthermore, the one time he did win, it was all because of special teams and Brown’s defense. As one can imagine, Watson is aware of his issues, and recently spoke about his start with 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland.

“I’m not close,” Watson said when asked about achieving his potential. “I want to be better. I’m nowhere near where I want to be and this team is nowhere near where we want to be.”

This weekend, Watson and the Browns will face a huge challenge in the Baltimore Ravens. It won’t be easy, however, the team needs to get into a rhythm. While their playoff hopes are pretty well out of the question this year, they can still build some chemistry for 2023.

Deshaun Watson’s GF Roasted For Sticking By Him

Deshaun Watson has been an incredibly controversial figure as of late, and for very good reason. He was accused of sexually assaulting upwards of 30 massage therapists around Houston. Additionally, an investigation suggested that Watson saw over 60 masseuses in a two-year period.

Overall, this has been a very wild story that culminated in an 11-game suspension for the quarterback. On Sunday, Watson officially returned to the field against his former team, the Houston Texans. In the end, he came away with a huge 27-17 victory. However, Watson’s numbers from the game were pedestrian at best.

Deshaun Watson Gets Support

Most people at the game on Sunday were there to boo and jeer at Watson. Fortunately for the QB, he had at least one person in his corner. That person is his girlfriend Jilly Anais, who has stuck with him throughout this entire ordeal. According to @theybf_daily on Instagram, Anais posted a whole plethora of photos from the game.

In the comments of the post below, many were critical of Anais and her undying support for the quarterback. For instance, one user wrote, “It’s actually creepy that she’s ok with his actions and we know y.” Another person said, “Wait he was doing all that with a girlfriend?!?!?” Needless to say, many are unimpressed with this predicament.

There is still a lot that is unknown about the Watson situation. No matter what, it is a very bad look for the QB, as well as his girlfriend. The NFL was also criticized for not suspending him for longer. Overall, having him on the field is a bit of a distraction, however, the NFL machine continues to turn, regardless.

Stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the football world.

[SOURCE SPORTS] Deshaun Watson Handed 11 Game Suspension and $5M Fine for Sexual Misconduct Allegations

deshaun watson

The NFL and the National Football League Players Association have come to an agreement on an 11 game suspension for Cleveland Browns player Deshaun Watson.  He was previously suspended for 6 games by retired federal Judge Sue L. Robinson for violations of the NFL personal conduct policy related to sexual misconduct or assault allegations, made by over 20 women.  Last week the league appealed the 6 game suspension and NFL commissioner Roger Goodell called for at least a full-year of suspension.

Now the Cleveland Browns QB says he’s grateful the disciplinary process is over. Watson said he’s “extremely appreciative” of the support he has received from the Browns organization. He will also be fined $5M for violating the league’s policy on top of the 11 games he’ll be forced to sit out. Watson said he apologizes for any pain he’s caused in this situation and is focused on being the best version of himself he can be going forward.

The National Organization for Women criticsized Watson’s punishment.  The group said Watson’s 11-game suspension is “nowhere near enough.”  President Christian Nunes said women need more than empty words and half-measures. Nunes noted the culture of “toxic masculinity” within the NFL must change.

Browns owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam insisted in a statement released following the  disciplinary action that they’re committed to investing into programs in Ohio that educate youth about awareness and prevention regarding sexual misconduct.
